"So let's chat little brother." It had been a long week, mostly due to the return of Ian Faulkner. Jane kept her mind busy but knew the day was coming. She felt the hate radiate off of him in the woods, she knew he watched them.

Maura kept close to her side, though she didn't really fear Ian, she knew he had changed. Jane insisted that the M.E. spend the night whenever she could, which included Bass, and Joe was of course happy about that but Zorro paid them no mind and would retreat back into his shell.

Jane and Frost would watch over the M.E.s home at night to make sure no one tried to break in.

Even Frankie had put some time to the side to check on her home.

Maura of course found it unnecessary but didn't want to intervene.

While Maura was around, Jane would always try to bring home healthy foods knowing the doctor didn't eat much but also because she wasn't Jane, who had a hunger for greasy food.

Maura made sure the hybrid ate a vigorous share of fruits and veggies too, Jane would protest that she was a "beast" or "animal" which made Maura roll hers eyes instantly showing off her red irises.

"Don't even try it, I drink blood for goodness sake."

Jane smirked at the last thought that floated through her head. She turned her attention back to her brother.

"What is there to talk about?" He asked, he played with his tie as he got comfortable for the onslaught of questions.

"How's your love life?" She was getting right to the point.

"Good…." No one really new that he was in a relationship. Korsak suspected something but didn't bring anything up.

Jane pushed around the salad on her plate as she "hmm'd" to herself. "What does 'she' look like?"

Frankie was in mid sip of his coffee and coughed, he tried his best to seem cool.

"…Oh you know, cute… no, sexy. Great in bed.." Jane chuckled to herself.

"What?" he looked around nervously. "You think I'm joking?"

"Oh I "KNOW" you're not…but hey bring her around sometime. Mom has to hound you, I can't be the only one she hits up for grand-kids."

"Wait…you didn't hear about Tommy?" The brunette's brows scrunched up in a confused gesture.

"What what happened?"

Frankie was happy to have changed the subject, "Apparently he got a girl pregnant and doesn't know what to do about it."

Jane let out a heavy sigh and rolled her eyes.

"Oh god, well first he needs to know if it's his, second it's time for him to grow up."

"Trust me I know, also….he said that.." Frankie exhaled slowly "That pops might have gotten her pregnant…"

Jane slowly swallowed the remaining food in her mouth as a growl crept out of her throat. She hadn't seen that man in years, and now it turns out she could have another sister/brother on the way.

"What in the hell? Did they run a train or something!" she screeched but held her voice down as low as possible.

Frankie could only shrug. "Yea I know right, but Jane ma doesn't know any of this."

"Well she can't until all this gets cleared up." Jane's mood suddenly changed in that small amount of time.

She still wanted to chat with her brother, she wanted to assure him that he can come out and that she would be there for him.

She supposed it was different for men when they were considered the law.

"Look I gotta run, uhmm meeting up with ..'her' right now." He smiled and winked.

"Oh yea what is 'her' name?" Jane nearly forgot to ask that question to her brother who stopped in mid stride.

"…Carrie." He waited a beat then continued on his way to his 'fake' girlfriend.

Jane shook her head with smile, though she was shocked at the earful that Frankie just gave her, she knew she couldn't do anything about it.

She was more worried about her mom. Her mom had changed so much when he left, she worked harder and paid more attention to all her children but especially to Jane.

Jane never really liked going to dances not just because her mom would try to put her in a dress, but because she knew she couldn't take a girl as her date.

Her life after her father died and step father left was troublesome.

She didn't know how to fit in with humans that well. It was not until college that she able to be herself.

Her cell beeped and buzzed, she scanned the text message quickly, "Crap." Maura had went to go see her mom and bring her the bag that Kia had given her to only find out she has been missing for three days.

Korsak looked through the rest of the files that laid on the coffee table. Word already got out that he would be retiring soon. He was ok with it, no one pitied him but were envious. He was one of the best and was leaving on a good note.

Angela approached him slowly with a cup of coffee in her hand.

"Slow day huh?"

"Hmm" he looked up and smiled. He and the mother were dating secretly until they knew it was going somewhere.

As nosey as Angie knew she could be, she did not want a lot of people in her love life.

Korsak had been a godsend, she never admitted to her kids that she was lonely, which was one of the reasons she butted in on everyone's lives.

She would cook for him and he'd listen to everything she'd say, gossip, clothing, food, Korsak didn't care he loved hearing her talk.

Angie also didn't think he wasn't a bad kisser at all. They kissed like they were teenagers and it made them feel younger.

Korsak took out his wallet and starred at the photos that spilled out. He and Angie had taken several photos together and he wanted to keep them close as well as the photos of he and the rizzoli kids. They where indeed his family.

He also had a couple of old photos of his stepson Josh.

He'd blame himself a lot for his failed marriage and also had hopes of seeing his only son again.

"He should be 18 by now right." Angie smiled at the photo.

"Yea…I haven't heard from Melody in a while, I'm sure she's happy. So you having another Sunday dinner?"

"Leave it to you to always think about food to make you happy." Angela chuckled and gave him a quick kiss.

"Yea I was thinking of having Frankie help me cook, he is really good you know."

Korsak smiled. Frankie was coming closer to coming out to her he knew it.

"Can't wait."

Kia rocked slowly in her chair as she enjoyed the sun coming though her curtains and warming her small home.

The Native had her eyes close in concentration, her thoughts revolving around Hope.

She expected her visitors to be here at any minute which she was prepared for.

She sighed loudly as the door was kicked in and the two men rushed in. She saw them and quickly stood up.

"You're both going

to replace that door." She smiled softly. The two men were dressed in all black with ski masks. They ignored her comment and raised their weapons ready to attack.

Jane jumped on her brother's bike and drove off as soon as she was off her shift, she didn't bother to leave him a message thinking he would know and understand. She needed to see Kia, she would know what was going on. Maura could only think that it had to do with her father.

Jane on the other hand had a better idea.

"Ian…"

He came back with a purpose and she wanted to make sure no one was harmed.

'If its me he wants then its me he gets.'

Maura waited for Jane to arrive as she stood outside the cottage home, an uneasy look on her face.

The front door was lying on the floor and there was no sound coming from inside.

The ME approached the doorway with caution. "Kia!" She waited for a response.

When none came she continued inside. She stepped over to broken door and made her way slowly to the living room.

She gasped at the two big bodies lying motionless on the floor.

She heard someone humming as water ran from a faucet. Kia soon appeared in front of her a bit disheveled.

"Ah hello dear."

Maura was too stunned to move, did Kia do this?

"Yes I did." She smiled and began to pick up the bodies with little effort.

Maura helped as they both shuffled their way outside, there they dumped the bodies.

Kia removed their masks and nodded as she recognized the ink on the necks.

"...these are your father's men."

Kia shook her head and stood. Maura rubbed her neck as confusion washed over her face.

"Why is he coming after you?"

Kia sighed, "So he could see you," On queue and older gruffer man came into view with other masked men.

"Ah there he is, you think five more men will do the trick?" Kia spat. The Irishman only chuckled and stared at the ME next to her.

"You're as beautiful as your mother." He looked sickly, like he had been fighting off an infection.

Maura could tell these things just by reading someone's body language. His eyes were light blue. His face hard, he looked like a man that's been through hell and still fighting his way back.

Paddy Doyle wasn't a man to be played with. Known for his ice pick hits, Paddy made sure that his name put fear in anyone.

He was so pale, his breathing seemed labored as he continued to approach her.

But every step he took she took one back.

"Please don't be afraid of me …I only want you safe." He stopped and coughed.

His men lowered their weapons as her rose a hand in the air.

"These two…on the ground…aren't mine."

Kia snorted, "Really, they have your mark on their necks." Paddy leaned over to examine the ink and grimaced. His eyes scanned the area wildly.

His heart rate picked up and he held a hand up in the air once again.

"It's a setup."

At hearing this both women were on guard, Paddy spun around keeping his eyes opened for any movement, he had a feeling they were being watched.

"Someone knew I was coming out here…"

Ian..

Paddy motioned his men to search the area. "Maura…you don't have to trust me, I am a bad man, and yes….when you were younger I wanted to use your blood to keep me alive, but watching you from afar…"

He brushed a curl out of her eye and smiled, "I knew I couldn't…I've always knew where you were."

The hybrid wanted to hate him, wanted to kill him, she didn't want to believe that he wasn't a part of her mother's disappearance.

But looking him in the eyes she could tell…he was being genuinely honest.

Kia stood aside and watch the two interact. She knew Maura was reading this man like a book.

"Why did you come here Irishman?" Paddy, without looking away from his daughter, released a sigh.

"I was sent a text, telling me my daughter was in danger."

They heard yelling and saw Paddy's men running "Get in the car!"

Ian, bold and vicious, walked with dignity into his parents bedroom. Valmont had his back to the doorway, his eyes scanned over his backyard through his large window. He grunted as he spun on his heel to meet his son's stare.

Ian held out his arms.

"Aren't you going to welcome me back father?"

Valmont chuckled darkly. He walked up to his son eyeing him down the whole time.

He looked him over, sniffed the air that his son brought with him.

This was a new vampire in front of him. More dangerous then he remembered.

"Look at you...what has happened to my son."

Ian looked bigger then he last remembered. His eye's were darker, his hair was now jet black.

"He finally grew up..." Even his voice was deeper.

The bass in his voice shook Valmont, he never thought his son would become this way.

"...What devil did you promise your soul too."

Ian chuckled loudly while taking a seat in his fathers chair.

He played with the embroidery pattern as he got comfortable.

"Father I traveled as much as I could while I was away, i've gained a new look on life...and a powerful serum."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a vile with dark liquid. Valmont was a smart immortal, he knew what his son was talking about.

"Mixing bloods...that's really dangerous my son."

"It is which is why I made sure I had some 'help'." He grinned.

They grew quiet as footsteps drew near the room. Monica nearly slammed the door open as she waltz in the room.

Her face hard her brown eyes blazing. Ian looked up as she approached him.

He stood as soon as she was close enough.

Monica examined this new man in front of her.

No longer was this the child that would wake her with kisses on her cheek. No more was this her child who would come to her with questions about love.

This beast was not her son anymore.

She stepped back and looked towards her husband.

"Who is this monster in my home?"

Valmont could see the tears forming in her eyes. Ian inhaled and tried to hug his mother who only shrugged off his hand.

The older vampire stepped in between the two. "Son...what have you become..."

"This is what you wanted right father...this is what you wanted me to become. Strong, a leader, and...a king-"

"YOUR NO KING HERE!" Valmont shouted which shook the room. Ian coward as he watched his father tower over him.

"Yes, your a whole different animal now, you had to turn yourself into this...monster."

"I am what you made me!"

"I DID NOT MAKE YOU THIS WAY." The room again vibrated causing Ian to cower even more.

"Scared aren't you my son," Valmont grinned his eye's blood red, his fangs showing, the clothing around his body tightened as he flexed.

Ian never seen this side of his dad before.

"You chose this new life because you weren't tough enough to do the hard work by yourself. Ian I sent you away to protect you, do you know the hybrids in those ships trusted you and me, and you just turned your back on me."

He took a breath as Monica touched his shoulder, the tears finally fell from her eyes. This brought the king back to reality.

"...I've nearly lost the respect of so many Ian..."

"Father i've apologized again and again, what do you want from me." He begged, he knelled in front of both his parents. "I am who I am for you both, I want to continue your legacy, but I couldn't do that being who I was...but now I have power and even stronger allies." He rose from his feet and towered over them both.

"...We...love you son but ...you shammed us...get out of this house, take what ever you want and never return."

Valmont turned his back on his only son, his little prince and walked over to his window and just stared in silence.

Monica looked up at her son. "Do as your father says." She sniffs and walked over to her husband side.

Ian felt like his world was crumbling. He needed them in his life. He shook his head.

"I will show you both that I am worthy to be king, I will not only win Maura but I will win the trust of all supernaturals."

Without another word he walked out of the room. His phone beeped as he received a message.

'...Got her.'

Ian shoved his phone back into his pocket as he walked out of the only home he ever knew. An evil grin on his face.

All she could feel was pain, her head hurt, her body sore.

She tried to sit up but the shackled held tight on her legs and wrists. Maura opened her eyes slowly.

She was in a room, a very spacious room. She tried to regain the last minutes before her capture.

All she remembered was a bright light and then nothing. The M.E. quickly panicked and worried about the other two, mostly Kia.

The native was her family. Maura finally found the strength to sit up, her hands balling into fist as she fought against the restraints.

The large windows in front of her were covered in blood red heavy drapes. There were lit candles alongside the walls, illuminating everything.

She wasn't aware of the figure drinking scotch in an armchair to her left until his voice crept into her ears.

"My my... I didn't know you were an exhibitionist." He too another sip.

Maura shuddered, that voice, was unrecognizable.

He placed down his drink and rose slowly to his feet his eyes where the first thing she seen when he turned to face her.

"Ian!"

"Yes my love." He smiled. His shoes tapped gently against the wooded floor as he approached the bed.

"Do you like it, I flew it in from England. Cost me nearly a fortune." He pressed his hands down on the king sized bed.

The honey blonde was still shaken up. Where was her father and Kia. As if hearing her thoughts the vampire replied softly.

"Their ok, I left them both in the woods, I just wanted you Maura." He reached for her hand and tore away the constraints with ease.

"Damn them I hope they weren't to tight...then again...im not sure if you like pain." She nearly spit in his face.

Anything to wipe that smirk off of his face but she didn't know what this knew Ian was capable of.

She had to play it safe until she could get help.

"Where am I Ian?"

"...My new home." He walked back over to his drink and took another sip. "My parents..." He couldn't finish his sentence without growling.

"They aren't proud of my 'change'." He quoted the last word with another sip. "But they are old fashion so I should have known."

"What have you done to yourself?"

"You know...so many have asked me that...it seems like i'm the bad guy here." He hissed.

Maura pushed herself back to the velvet headboard in fear. There were so many things running through her head, the first was did Ian mix bloods and the second was...

"Ian ...where's Hope? Is she safe?" The woman that gave birth to her was immediately her first priority.

He waved off the question with one hand. "Oh come on, of course she is. She's gonna help me gain my fathers crown. I'm gonna take it if I have to. The old ways are just that 'old', its time for the new breeds to take over." He glanced menacingly at the portrait of his family on the far wall.

"...For years upon years... i've wondered why it was not safe to mixed the bloods of other supernaturals...now I know, know one was in danger, everyone was afraid of the power, and that power falling into the wrong hands. Well the power is definitely in the right hands Maura."

He balled up his fists hissing as his nails dug into his skin breaking the surface and causing blood to drip to the carpet.

He took out his handkerchief and wiped the blood away as the skin healed itself. Maura's mind was now screaming at her to get away from this immortal.

She had to take her chances.

"Don't worry my dear, i'm not going to keep you here, i'm using you as bate."

"If your trying to kill Jane-" He cut her off by chuckling darkly.

"Its not her I want at this moment..."

Barry sniffed the air around him, the large mansion was right in front of him. There were only a couple of guards surrounding it. He took out his phone to try and get signal. The last message he got was from Maura asking if he could come to this address and not to evolve Jane.

He kept his word not knowing what trouble the doctor could be in. He wondered if Frankie was making meatball subs tonight.

He stomach growled at anticipation.

"Easy you." He patted his abdomen. Barry wanted to do nothing more than to get away from this place and into the comfort of his lover.

He wanted Frankie to move in with him, it was time to start taking steps to being an adult.

All he needed was to let go and let love do the talking.

He finally made his way to the entrance, gun in hand, teeth bared.

The security guards didn't bulge they just waited for him.

One even opened the large doors for him.

"We've been expecting you Frost."
