A/N: Ok, since another Panem University story popped into my mind, I figured I'd work on this one. Note, the two stories are completely unrelated :)
A song by the Black Eyed Peas was thumping over the surround sound speakers in the main room of Alpha Kappa Delta Frat. A multi-colored light globe was spinning in a corner bathing the room in various colors. "Now, you girls watch your sodas." Katniss instructed her younger sister and roommate as they made their way to a line of coolers against the wall. "Don't put it past the boys to put something in them. Of course, if they do and I see it, they will say goodbye to their balls." Prim giggled. "I'm serious, Prim."
"I know, Kat." Prim said before she opened a cooler and pulled out a red and white can. "KATNISS!" She yelped as Katniss pulled the cold beverage out of her hand.
"Ok. Diet Dr. Pepper." Katniss sighed in relief.
"Yo, Rue!" Thresh called. "Come here, girl! I got a Pepsi for you!" The Everdeens made their way through the throng of dancing college kids to follow Rue to her cousin. "Man, that game was tight!"
"I know. I think we'll have a good year. I'm so proud of Pete being on the team." Katniss gushed.
"HEY EVERYONE! CAKE!" Cato roared over the music. Peeta rolled a metal kitchen cart to the center of the room to display a rectangular cake the size of a small dining room table decorated with the Panem Eagles mascot.
"CATO! Don't touch the frosting! People are instagraming Peeta's cake!" Katniss admonished the frat president. Sure enough, half the party-goers had their phones out taking pictures of the cake.
"Kat, stand by Peeta!" Prim called as she took out her phone. She grinned as Katniss wrapped an arm around Peeta as they posed for Prim's picture.
"Our first frat party!" Prim and Rue squealed as Thresh took their picture with Rue's phone.
"YEAH!" Cato cheered cutting himself a large slice of cake. "We got magic spice cake coming later!" He announced. Prim and Rue chatted a bit with Glimmer when they noticed her nail-art of the Panem Eagles on her thumbnails.
"Hey guys, we got Wii Dance Dance Revolution happening in the dining room!" Marvel called! "C'mon, it's hilarious as hell when you're drunk!" Prim and Rue exchanged glances before entering the room. Sure enough Clove and Cato were dancing off.
"I can do this, Clove! You drank a lot! already" Cato growled.
"Shut up, Cato, I can drink you under the table!" Clove retorted before she counted along to the music before the song began. Sure enough, Clove rarely missed a step while Cato lumbered around on his side of the TV. Not surprisingly, Clove won that round.
"You got this because you're a cheerleader, huh." Rue asked. Clove nodded.
"Yeah. Cato just runs into people and calls it a sport." Clove replied as her boyfriend blushed.
"What?" Cato yelped before Clove laughed and tickled him in his thick stomach. "Ok, Katniss and her sister!"
"KATNISS!" Prim called seeing Katniss near the windows finishing her first beer of the evening. Prim giggled as Katniss kissed Peeta before coming to the room and picking a Wii console.
"Go Kat!" Peeta called causing her to blush and Prim and Rue to laugh. The song started and Prim began dancing, recognizing some of the moves from Zumba class. Katniss was keeping up pretty well.
"Go girl! Dang!" A few guys cheered seeing the Everdeens competing.
"Oh my gosh, Prim! You won!" Katniss gasped once the song was over and their scores were up.
"I know! We do Zumba in aerobics sometimes! I'm in Finnick Odair's class!" She squealed before turning bright red.
"So, should I have Gale tell Rory you have a crush on your gym teacher?" Katniss asked slyly as her sister blushed a dark maroon.
"KATNISS! NO YOU BETTER NOT!" She squealed indignantly as the room burst out laughing.
"That's cool, girl. Finnick's fine." Prim was puzzled by his comment until she saw a rainbow rubber 'wear your cause' bracelet.
"Yeah -" Katniss looked at Peeta and smiled. "Um - Katniss - are you going to hang with Peeta for the night?"
"Yeah." Katniss said giving Peeta a small smile.
"I can drop you girls back at the dorm." Thresh said. "But you guys gotta try the wings, c'mon, they're grilling out back!"
Prim opened her eyes at 9:30 am on Sunday as Rue woke up with a yawn. "Whoa - it's 9:30!" Rue gasped.
"Yeah." Prim said. "We got back at 1 am last night." Prim replied as she relaxed in bed holding her yellow pillow. Rue nodded.
"I was always getting up early on the farm." Rue replied as she got out of bed. "You hungry?" Prim nodded. "The dining hall's open."
"Congratulations, you two are the first non-hungover people I checked in this morning!" Lavinia laughed as she swiped their cards. "Brunch is served until 2pm."
"Cool! Breakfast food until late!" Prim cheered.
"The scrambled eggs are real!" Lavinia called as the girls laughed. Since the girls didn't have to hurry to class, they took their time eating. After breakfast, Rue decided to go to the rec center for a swim. Prim would join her, but she had a Skype with Rory first.
"Rory!" Prim squealed as Rory's face appeared in the video chat. "I miss you!" Rory grinned.
"Ma's taking Vic and Posy to Wal-Mart so I get the house to myself!"
"Um - you by yourself - just kidding!" Prim giggled. Rory winked causing her to blush. "So - um -" She paused gazing into Rory's gray eyes. "How's school?"
"Good." Rory said. "I'm in Welding this semester."
"How's American Government?"
"Undersee's cool. I don't fall asleep in class. So I don't ditch." Prim giggled. "Hey, don't you take Government too?" Prim nodded.
"The teacher's name is Mr. - I mean - Professor Heavensbee. I don't fall asleep either. My biology teacher is Mr - Professor Bloom, my physics teacher is Professor Wright, and I have this lady named Effie - well - Professor Trinket. She's like a fashion model meets English Teacher." Rory laughed. "We looked at bugs in Biology Lab."
"Cool!" Rory replied. "Do you guys have gym?"
"I'm taking aerobics." Prim replied feeling a blush creep across her face.
"Is the teacher cute, Prim?" Rory asked knowingly.
"Um - He's - yes - but - I think he has a girlfriend already." Rory laughed. "And - I have you." She blurted out.
"Yup." Rory replied blushing. "Gale said you guys had a football game already." Prim nodded.
"Yes. Peeta played. Oh, and we won." Rory smiled. "Rory, I'll send you pictures! Like more than what I post on Facebook." Rory laughed.
"Ok." Prim paused.
"Oh - I guess - How's school?" Rory grinned.
"I told you a little already. It's ok." Rory replied. "I mean, it's probably lame compared to your college, but we're seniors. I already asked my adviser how I can get into Panem University." Prim squealed in reply causing Rory to blush yet again. "Prim -" He paused before touching his lips to the webcam.
"Oh - Rory -" Prim sighed. "I think I love -"
"RORY, HAWTHORNE, WHY ARE YOU PUTTING YOUR MOUTH ALL OVER YOUR COMPUTER, BOY?"
"Oh - Ma's home - We'll - I'll text you later - Skype -"
"We can always talk later, Rory." Prim said sweetly. She heard Rory hollering something at his mother as the Skype session ended. Though a part of her missed her home and Rory in Seam, West Virginia, she knew she was feeling more at home and having the best adventures of her life at Panem University.
