A/N: Hey readers. Not much to say this time. Most of what I have to tell you will be at the end. So with that said, enjoy the chapter.
Asuna felt the water zoom past her as she rode on Samurott with her friend. She had anticipated the possibility of being attacked if she revealed herself in front of such a large crowd, but getting blasted off the side of the building was still a bit surprising. Luckily she had someone with a backup plan.
"Good thing you sent Samurott into the water ahead of time. That's my Kirito"
"I'm just glad your safe, Asuna" Kirito said with a smile. "So did you see anyone that could be one of the champions?"
"That Misaki girl seems pretty strong, but I don't think she's a champion" Asuna shrugged.
"That's a shame" Kirito sighed. "But I guess we can't expect to find champions wherever we go."
Suddenly the two players began to hear something coming from behind them. Both of them turned their heads to see several players chasing after them on their own water type pokemon.
"Crap, they're catching up to us!" Kirito exclaimed. "We need to find a way to lose them!"
"Leave that to me, Kirito!" a voice called out. Soaring in the air above them, they saw a female player with light-blue hair riding an Unfezant. "I can handle these guys"
"Great timing, Sinon!" Asuna called out.
"What are guildmates for?" Sinon replied with a shrug. She looked back towards the group of trainers coming her way. "If you want to get to them, you have to go through me"
"Fine by us!" one of them grinned. "Take her down boys!"
Unfezant skillfully dodged the incoming long range attacks with ease. Dealing with so many at once would be difficult, but right now Sinon's objective was just to buy time. Once Kirito and Asuna got far enough away, she would retreat.
"Unfezant, use air cutter!" Sinon commanded. The flying type let lose a flurry of razor sharp slashes towards the group with one powerful flap of its wings. The attack knocked the group slightly out of formation, giving Sinon the opening she needed. "Sky attack!"
With a loud cry, Unfezant became veiled in light as it flew up into the air before coming back down at an incredibly high speed. Once it reached the water surface, it tilted a full ninety degrees and charged towards the group. Sinon leaped off Unfezant as it neared its target and leaped onto a Gyarados that another player was riding. With one swift kick, she knocked the player off his pokemon and into the ocean. Unfezant hit its target and knocked out his pokemon, making him fall into the water.
"Alright, two down" Sinon smirked. Suddenly, she felt someone grab her from behind, restraining her as she tried to break free.
"You caused us a lot of trouble missy" the player grinned. "I'll be sure to pay you back in full. I might let you live though if you don't mind putting on a little show for me"
"How's this for a show?!" Sinon growled as she swung her head back, knocking it into the man's face. He let Sinon go as he grasped his face in pain.
"You bitch! That does it! You're dead!" he yelled as he lunged for her. As he tried to grab her, Sinon raised her hand and was swooped away by her Unfezant. With one swift motion, she swung herself back onto the bird pokemon. "Better luck next time" As she turned around however, Sinon saw a blast of water come rocketing towards her. The attack made contact and she fell off of Unfezant, plummeting towards the water below. The other trainers were waiting for her, ready to kill her with their pokemon.
Sinon closed her eyes in fear of the approaching death. Suddenly she felt something grab her arm and felt herself flying in the air. She opened her eyes to see a brown haired male holding onto her hand while riding a Starraptor.
"You alright?" he asked.
It took a moment for Sinon to recover from her shock, but she finally nodded. The male player helped pull Sinon up and she sat behind him on Starraptor. Flying next to them was another player, this one a girl much younger than either of them that was riding a Talonflame.
"I'll leave these guys to you, Ren!" a voice called out from bellow. Sinon looked down at the water to see a girl riding across the water on an Empoleon zoom past them.
"Be careful, Misaki!" the player known as Ren yelled back.
Sinon didn't know what to make of these three. If they were after the champion bracelet her guild leader had, she couldn't just sit here. "Who are you guys?"
"Don't worry. We're not after your friend's champion bracelet" Ren assured her, almost as if he could read her mind. He showed Sinon his left wrist, revealing his bracelet. "Can you still fight?"
Sinon gave a smirk in response. "Ha! Like I'm going to let a pack of losers like these guys take me down!"
Ren grinned at Sinon's eagerness for a battle. He brought Starraptor closer to Sinon's Unfezant and the blue haired girl leaped from Starraptor back onto her own pokemon.
"Clair, go with Misaki!" Ren called out. "We can handle this!"
"You got it, bro!" Clair replied with a thumbs up as she and Talonflame took off in the direction Misaki and the others had gone. Ren and Sinon hovered in the sky, focusing on the opponents they had to deal with right now.
Sinon looked at her Unfezant's HP. It had taken a decent hit from the attack before, but it wasn't in any danger yet. Plus she had a much better chance now that she had an ally fighting with her. "I'll attack from afar then you go in close, got it"
"Leave it to me" Ren nodded.
Sinon looked at her the group of players down at the water. It was time for some payback. "Unfezant, use air cutter!" Unfezant once again released a widespread attack on the group below them, the blades of air ripping through the water like an air raid.
"Our turn! Starraptor, use brave bird!" Ren commanded. Starraptor skyrocketed down veiled in a blazing aura, which changed into a sparkling blue one as it turned when it reached the waterfront. The intense force Starraptor created just by zooming past the group was enough to knock them all off their pokemon and make them fall into the water.
"Rotom, you're up!" Ren shouted as he tossed out a pokeball. Rotom emerged from the capsule device with its usual comedic snicker. "Use discharge!"
Rotom charged up electricity in its body and let it all out at once, covering the entire area with it. The wide are of water around it helped out as the electric attack zapped the entire group, taking out both them and their pokemon out instantly.
Sinon watched in awe as Ren skillfully dealt with the group like it was nothing. Ren returned Rotom to its pokeball and flew back into the air next to Sinon. "We should go after your friend. I saw some of them make it past us while we were fighting and I'm betting they had more friends stationed around the area."
"Right" Sinon nodded. "By the way, I haven't introduced myself. My name's Sinon"
"I'm Ren. Nice to meet you"
With introductions out of the way, Ren and Sinon took off after their friends.

"Damnit, they're still on our tail" Kirito growled as he and Asuna approached the shoreline. They got off Samurott, who Kirito returned to its pokeball and the couple took off towards the woods. They stopped in their tracks however as they saw multiple players emerge from the dense collection of trees.
"Sorry pal, but we're gonna have to take that champion's bracelet you've got" one of them smirked. "Just give up and we'll make this as painless as possible."
Kirito and Asuna glared at the group in front of them, who seemed to have an army of pokemon at their side. Neither of them could reach for a pokeball without guaranteeing a wave of attacks coming their way.
"Mind if I cut in?"
The rocky shoreline began to rumble and shake violently, making many of the players lose their balance momentarily. When they regained their footing, they found someone blocking their path to Kirito and Asuna. It was a girl with bright pink hair and freckles on her face. At her side was a powerful looking Gigalith. Another player was riding the large rock-type pokemon. It was a young girl with long black hair. She jumped off Gigalith and ran towards Kirito and Asuna.
"Mama! Papa!"
"Yui?! What are you doing here?! It's dangerous!" Asuna exclaimed.
"I wanted to help Mama and Papa" Yui explained.
Liz shrugged her shoulders. "She wouldn't stop until I agreed to take her with me to help you guys. I couldn't just leave her and let her go after you two on her own"
"Thanks Liz. We owe you one" Kirito said with an appreciative smile.
"Don't mention it" Liz smirked. "You guys get going. I can handle these losers"
Kirito nodded as he, Asuna, and Yui ran away, using the opening Liz had created to escape. Before anyone else from the group could go after them, Liz blocked the way with her Gigalith.
"Sorry boys. You're fighting me now" Liz said with a crack of her knuckles.
"Grr… we don't have time for this! Get out of our way!" one of the players yelled.
"Not a chance"
"Fine then. Kill her!"
All at once, the players called out for their pokemon to attack. A flurry of long range blasts came towards her as she made no attempt to evade them. The collision created a large explosion of energy where Liz and Gigalith were standing.
"Alright! We got her boys! Now let's hurry and-"
"Seriously? That's the best you've got?" Liz asked, making the group of players all gasp in shock. They watched the smoke clear, revealing Liz and Gigalith standing without a scratch on them"
Several of the players shivered in fear. "Impossible… How could you have survived that?"
"A little something called protect" Liz explained. "Now then, I believe it's my turn. Gigalith use hyper beam!"
Gigalith fired a powerful blast that swept across the entire shoreline, creating a widespread explosion. Cries of pain were heard as multiple members of the group had their HP hit zero.
"Well that takes care of that" Liz said. "Time to meet up with the others" As Liz turned to walk away however, a sudden wave of water came at her. Gigalith moved to defend its trainer just in time, but the water made it cringe in pain.
"Gigalith!" Liz cried out as she tried to endure the water that was gushing past her. When it finally subsided, both Liz and Gigalith fell to their knees, trying to catch their breath. Gigalith was at a small sliver of HP thanks to the super effective attack. They looked over to see one more trainer standing across from them with a Jellicent at his side.
"Too bad for you missy. My ghost-type Jellicent isn't affected by normal type moves like hyper beam" the player smirked.
"Damnit" Liz muttered under her breath. Neither she nor Gigalith were in any condition to fight right now after taking on that attack just now.
"I'll end this quickly. Jellicent, use shadow ball!"
Liz's eyes widened in fear as she saw Jellicent launch its attack at her and Gigalith. One hit would be enough to finish both of them off. Just as the attack was inches from them, a sudden arrival came in and knocked the attack away.
"Nice job, Lucario!" Clair called out as she descended onto the shoreline with Talonflame. Liz watched as the young girl turned towards her and gave a thumbs up. "Leave this to us"
"Th-Thanks" Liz managed to say with a nod.
"I'll let you handle this guy, Clair!" Misaki called out as she ran in the direction Kirito, Asuna, and Yui went.
Liz slowly tried to comprehend what was going on. "Who are you guys?"
"It's a long story" Clair shrugged. "For now, let's just say we're friends"
Liz wanted to ask more questions but now was definitely not the time considering the situation they were in. All she could do was trust this girl to deal with the player standing before them.
Clair went straight into the battle. "Lucario, use bone rush!" Lucario manifested a long bone shaped rod and charged towards Jellicent.
Jellicent's trainer smirked. He had defeated that Gigalith, how hard could some brat and her Lucario be? "Jellicent, use hydro pump." The water and ghost type launched a powerful blast of water at Lucario. Before it could make contact though, Lucario leaped into the air to avoid it.
"No way!" he gasped. "How is it that fast?!"
"This is nothing" Clair smirked. "Now take them down, Lucario!"
Lucario dived down at Jellicent. The fighting type swung the bone it was holding down at Jellicent's head. Jellicent flinched slightly in pain but quickly recovered. Its trainer quickly gave out a command. "Use surf!"
Jellicent summoned a powerful wave of water that smashed straight into Lucario. The fighting type struggled against the powerful current of water and was slowly being pushed back.
"Lucario!" Clair called out as she tried to endure the water current as well.
"Wrap this up, Jellicent. Use psychic!"
Jellicent's eyes lit up with a bright blue color and a similar color began to outline Lucario. Within seconds, the fighting type was crying out in pain as if it was suffering from a severe headache. Clair watched in horror as her partner struggled from the attack. If this kept up for much longer, Lucario's HP would fall to zero.
"How's that kid? Not so tough now are you?!" Jellicent's trainer mocked. "Maybe this will teach you to-"
"Gigalith, use stone edge!"
Both Jellicent's trainer and Clair widened their eyes in surprise from the sudden shout from Liz. Even though it was low on HP, Gigalith wasted no time in sending several stones rocketing towards Jellicent. The barrage of rocks broke Jellicent's focus on the psychic attack, freeing Lucario.
"Thanks a lot" Clair said with an appreciative grin.
"Consider us even" Liz smirked. "Now how about we finish this loser of"
"You got it" Clair nodded. "Lucario, use shadow claw!"
Lucario's hands became veiled in a dark aura that formed the shape of two sharp claws. The fighting type sped towards Jellicent at full speed while it was still recovering from the stone edge attack from earlier.
"Crap!" the trainer exclaimed. "Jellicent, get out of there!"
It was no use however as Jellicent took the attack full force, Lucario's super effective attack ripping through Jellicent's HP.
"Our turn Gigalith! Use earthquake!"
Lucario jumped out of the way as Gigalith stomped onto the ground, creating a large scale earthquake. The cracked pieces of the ground came up and hit Jellicent, knocking out the rest of its health. Jellicent shattered into fragments and its trainer was left all alone as he stared at the two girls in fear.
"P-Please… don't kill me. I'm begging you"
"Oh don't worry, we won't kill you" Liz smirked. "After all, I've got a lot of questions for you"
XXXXXXXXXX
Kirito, Asuna, and Yui ran through the woods with all the strength their legs could muster. They could still here footsteps behind them, meaning there would probably be attacked very soon.
Finally Kirito skidded to a halt. Asuna and Yui looked over to the raven haired boy with worried looks on their faces.
"Kirito…"
"Papa…"
"Asuna, take Yui and get to the randevouz point" Kirito said. "I'll deal with these guys and catch up to you"
"Kirito, there's no way I'm leaving you to-"
"Go!" Kirito shouted. "You need to protect Yui and we can't afford for her to be in the crossfire"
Asuna hesitated, not wanting to leave Kirito all on his own, but she knew he was right. Above all, they had to protect Yui. Asuna grabbed Yui's hand and ran further into the woods with her. You better not die, Kirito"
"Heh, like I'd die against losers like these" Kirito smirked as he grabbed his pokeball. He tossed the ball up into the air and a Hydreigon appeared, letting out a ferocious cry.
'I have to protect Asuna and Yui' Kirito told himself. 'I won't let anyone hurt them'
Kirito heard the footsteps getting closer and closer. He prepared himself to face however many trainers were about to attack him. He heard whoever was coming getting really close. "Get ready Hydreigon"
"Drei" Hydreigon nodded.
Finally the trainer ran through the trees and came into view. Kirito quickly signaled for Hydreigon to attack, but paused as he saw who it was. It was the girl Asuna had faced in the tournament.
Misaki stared at Kirito with surprised eyes. "Hey, you're that guys that Asuna ran away with."
"What are you doing here?" Kirito asked. "Are you with the guys that attacked us?"
"No, I'm not with them. I swear!" Misaki assured him. "I just wanted to make sure Asuna was safe"
Kirito pondered as to whether Misaki was telling the truth. Asuna seemed to think she was alright, and she seemed stronger than most players that would be part of a PK group. Perhaps she was telling the truth. "… Fine. But you better not try anything"
"You have my word" Misaki told him. "So where's Asuna?"
As if to answer that question, an ear piercing scream was heard not far from where Misaki and Kirito were standing. Both trainers immediately recognized the voice as Asuna's and took off in the direction they heard the scream come from. It didn't take long before they found Asuna. She was standing across from one more trainer from the PK group. From the looks of it, he seemed like he could possibly be their boss. The troubling part was that one of them was restraining Yui.
"Yui!" Kirito called out.
"Papa!" Yui cried. Her face was obviously one of fear.
"Let her go right now!" Asuna glared.
"We'd be happy to let the brat go" the PKer smirked. "I just need the bracelet from that Unova champion over there." The person he was pointing his finger towards was Kirito.
Misaki slowly tried to comprehend what was going on. This Kirito guy seemed to be the Unova champion, which meant it wasn't Asuna. But who the heck was that little girl and why did she call Kirito 'Papa'?
Kirito clenched his fists in anger as he glared hell at the PKer. "You won't get away with this"
"Save it. Now pick whose life is more important to you. Yours or this brat's"
"I'll pick both of theirs" a sudden voice said from behind. The player only had time to turn around before a swift kick came at him, knocking him off Yui and making him tumble across the ground. Everyone looked to see Ren and Sinon helping Yui get to her feet.
Asuna rushed over to Yui's side, embracing her in a tight hug. "Yui! I'm so happy you're alright"
"Mama" Yui cried with tears rolling down her eyes.
"Ugh… what the hell was that?" the PKer moaned as he tried to get up. As he got to his feet, he found himself already surrounded by Kirito, Ren, Sinon and Misaki.
"Now how about you tell us who you guys are" Kirito glared.
"I think we can answer that" a voice said from the trees. Everyone looked over to see Liz and Clair come into view with one of the members of the PK group tied up along with one more person. The new player was a small girl, probably about the same age as Clair. Her hair was tied up into two pigtails and she had an Emolga holding onto her shoulder.
"Liz, Silica, you're alright!" Asuna said with a smile.
"Ha! Like these idiots would be enough to beat me" Liz said with a puff of her chest.
"Kirito, Asuna, I'm sorry" Silica said with a frown. "I was supposed to look after Yui, but I took my eyes off her for a second and then… I…"
"It's not Silica's fault!" Yui said. "I came after everyone without permission. Please don't be mad a Silica"
"It's alright. We're not mad at either of you" Asuna told them. "We're just happy that everyone's ok"
"We also need to thank you guys" Sinon added as she looked at Ren, Clair, and Misaki. "We'd have been toast if it wasn't for you three"
"Don't mention it. It was nothing." Misaki modestly told them.
"Who are you guys anyway?" Liz asked. "I've never seen you before."
Ren, Clair, and Misaki each introduced themselves to Kirito and the others, adding in the fact that Ren was the Sinnoh champion. Kirito and the others were next as they each took turns to introduce themselves. Kirito and Asuna were two of the top trainers in PWO's Unova region, though Kirito was the one with the title of champion. The two of them were in a guild with Sinon, Silica, and Liz, which was a little odd to Ren and the others since the closest thing to guilds in Sinnoh was Team Reaper. Yui was apparently a player that Kirito and Asuna had found one day with amnesia. The two of them adopted her as their daughter after she started calling them Mama and Papa.
After introductions were out of the way, everyone turned their attention to the two PKers that they had captured. Kirito grabbed the leader by the collar of his shirt. "Alright, now how about you tell us who you are?"
"I-I have nothing to say!" he growled.
"Cool, then that answers our question of what to do with you" Liz shrugged.
"Wh-What?! Y-You wouldn't kill me! You guys aren't PKers!"
"But we ARE quite angry about you guys trying to kill us" Sinon glared.
The player quivered in fear as he looked at the group. "F-Fine! I'll talk! Just don't kill me, please!"
"Then start talking"
The two players began to spill everything. Apparently they were part of a PK guild from Unova called Laughing Coffin. Neither one of them were very high up the totem pole, just a group of grunts that was assigned with capturing any champions they could find and bringing them to their boss's so they could obtain a champion bracelet. Kirito and Asuna explained to Ren and the others about how Laughing Coffin was infamous in Unova for murdering trainers one after another.
Once they had gotten all the info they could out of the two PKers, Kirito grabbed them both by the throat and glared at them. "If you EVER attack me or my friends again, I won't hesitate to kill you. Got it?"
The players both nodded quickly. Kirito tossed them to the side and they immediately took off running.
"Idiots. As if we'd actually kill them" Liz sighed with a roll of her eyes. "We'd be better off sending them to prison"
"Well hopefully we won't have to deal with them again" Misaki said.
"We can only hope" Silica sighed.
"So what are you guys gonna do now?" Clair asked.
"We're on our way to Cyalge City" Asuna explained. "What about you guys?"
"We're actually going to Ambrette Town" Ren told them.
"Oh. Well I guess we'll be splitting up then. The paths through the mountains will be different for each of us" Asuna sighed.
"Don't worry, I'll be sure to kick your butt next time we meet" Misaki smirked.
"Challenge accepted" Asuna grinned back.
After adding Kirito and the others to their Friends List, Ren, Misaki, and Clair waved goodbye to their newfound friends and headed out.
XXXXXXXXXXXXX
"So let me get this straight. You lost to the Unova champion and failed to kill ANYONE?"
"W-We're sorry boss! Please spare us!"
"We promise we'll succeed next time!"
"There isn't going to be a next time for you two. Izumi, if you would?"
"My pleasure" Izumi smirked. She gripped the pokeball in her hand with a malicious grin on her face. Long violet haired flowed down her back as she prepared to kill the two failures. "Don't worry. Since you two we're our allies, I'll give you a present. You get to choose how I kill you."
The two players quickly got back to their feet and ran away. Izumi sighed as she tossed her pokeball into the air. "Cryoganal, use slash"
Cryoganal emerged from the pokeball and wasted no time with obeying its trainer's command. It spun itself like a saw and ripped straight through both players, killing them instantly. "And I was so generous too, letting them pick how they die and all that. Don't you think so, Kira?"
"Izumi, call him boss. He deserves the proper respect as our leader" a hooded player at Kira's left side told her.
"Stop sucking up to the boss Ju" Izumi said with a roll of her eyes.
"That's enough, both of you" Kira said with a calm yet stern voice. "What's important is what those two said. According to them, the Sinnoh champion is a guy named Ren"
"I take it you want to kill him too?" Izumi smirked.
"Well we can't have just leave such a juicy target alone like that" Kira said.
"So we're going hunting for two champions? This sounds like it'll be fun" Ju smirked.
Kira chuckled as he got up from his seat and looked to his subordinates. "Laughing Coffin, we're moving out"
A/N: So what did you guys think of the other additions from the SAO cast? Also a few things I want to state for the record.
1) Nobody knows that Yui is an AI currently (not even Kirito and Asuna). The fact that she is an AI will be brought up later in the story.
2) Kirito does not have a harem group in this story. Sinon, Liz, and Silica are all just friends and don't like him any further than that.
Next chapter will bring the spotlight on a different character. I hope you guys are looking forward to it.
