I wake up early before Ana to place the presents around the tree. I promised that I wouldn't go over board with the gifts. Since Teddy is so small she didn't want to spoil him too much and especially since he can't remember any of it. HOWEVER I couldn't help myself. I wanted to put a little extra under the tree for her. I had missed years of Christmas' and I wanted to make it up to her.
I walk down stairs and put a charm bracelet under the tree. Its just not any charm bracelet. It was the best white gold money can buy. The charms all showed what I valued most about us. The breakfasts we had (a stack of pancakes), the fake marriage in high school (a book with a ring on top), the fights we had in school (boxing gloves), my love for her (a heart) and being the mother to my child (a baby in a cradle). This maybe a bit much but I want to pamper her a little bit.
I can't wait to see her face in when she sees this. There is no way her gift is better than mine.

Oh God! I'm late!
I am looking down at the calendar while feeding Teddy and I realize that I have missed my period. Now I am on birth control but it makes me get my period like clock work. I should have gotten it a week ago. I need to go to the doctor. I can call Grace... No I cant... I don't want to get her hopes up.
What doctor do I choose? Cant I just go to planned parenthood? Jesus the media storm will be relentless. Maybe I can ask Gail to go to the store for me. No she will tell Jason. Okay how best to do this...
Okay first I need a pregnancy. Grocery stores have those as well. Okay I can go grocery shopping and buy one... Nope with my luck they will recognize me as Christians wife and I will have to deal with more media.
Okay I will just schedule a regular doctors visit. Not tell Christian. Find out if this is really real.
I stand and burp Teddy. I stare down at his happy face and I wouldn't trade this moment for anything. Having another one would just light up Christian's day.

"So Mrs. Grey what can I help you with?" Dr. Green asks after the initial nurse exam.
"Well I believe I maybe pregnant. I am on birth control but that makes me very EXTREMELY regular and I am late by over a week now. I want to make sure and see everything is okay. With the holiday being one week from now. I dont want to risk celebratory eggnog." I explain in a rush.
"Okay lets have a more thorough look at you and see if this worry is needed. I see the prescription here on your file and I don't think you would be pregnant but lets just have a look. First can you pee on this cup and lets take a regular pregnancy test." she hands me a cup and I walk into the adjoining bathroom.
Ugh how am I supposed to pee in this damn thing? This is the most awkward pee I have ever taken in my life. I am have hunched over with my arm in between my legs and I have to somehow aim in this cup. Jesus this is a lot harder than it looks.
Eventually my stage fright bladder allows me to pee and I am right back on the doctors table.
She puts my pee on something and she just watches it like its the formalist movie ever instead of a miracle.
"Well you are pregnant" she says and I can't the sob and smile that happens simultaneously. I am going to have a baby. Teddy is going to be a big brother. He will have someone close in age and he will have someone to play with. Can your chest burst from happiness?
"Oh God I am so happy!" I can not contain myself.
"Okay let me get you a prescription of prenatal vitamins." She walks out the room with a "Congratulations" and I couldn't be happier. I go to the pharmacy and put it under my maiden name and its ready in minutes. They give me a copy of it so I can give it to Christian for Christmas. This will be the best present ever.

We unwrap our gifts and help Teddy to play with a teddy bear that has mine and Ana's heart beats and voices.
I hand her the gift and she looks at me with this face that just says "you didnt" but I did.
"I know you didn't want anything but this is great I promise this will be the best gift anyone ever receives this year." I try and argue with her.
"I don't know about that Christian" but she opens it any ways and she crys her happy cry.
"You like it?" I want to make sure I am right.
"Of course its beautiful." she cries then I go on to show her what each one means and I cant contain my happiness.
"Well you have to open my last gift for you Christian." she takes Teddy from my arms and hands me a very light watch box.
I open it and see a paper with her name on it. I have no clue what it means until I see the prescription.
"OH MY GOD! YOU'RE PREGNANT?!" she nods her head and cradles Teddy close.
I rush up to them and hold her close.
"Thank you thank you thank you. My Ana I couldn't be happier than I am right now. I love you with all my heart. Teddy, this future baby and I are so lucky to have you." I kiss her then Teddy. I kneel and kiss her stomach. "I love you" I whisper.
