A couple weeks later after a gut busting moment when Jedidiah had to hand over the deed (with a look that made it seem like he had swallowed a lemon on his face.) Logan and Sully went to town and after frowning at the crowd gathered around Jakes, they moved closer to see what it was about. And Logan's eye brows arched at the sight of the exquisite horse tethered there.

"That's a fine looking horse you got there, mister," Loren said, to the apparent owner as he walked up with Mike waving his hand at the animal.

Looking at the man Logan took in the fine suit and hat, the grey walrus mustache and hair, and the sharp eyes. "Thank you, sir. Got a fine temper, too," the man said.

"My sister would take a fancy to him."

"Would she? Well, now, I've been waiting for word on an important business deal. I find myself temporarily short of funds. I might sell him if the price was right."

"Looks to me like a challenge," Loren muttered, as the horse jerked away from a couple people. In addition, from him as he stepped closer to it.

"Not for a man. Or for a woman who has some authority," and the owner looked at Mike.

"Ah, we're short of cash," Loren said.

"I already got two horses," Jake said.

"What about you sir?" and everyone looked at Sully who stood looking at the animal with Logan arms crossed. And at once people started laughing.

"He doesn't need a horse," Dr. Mike explained kindly.

"He can't ride," Jake, said, laughing.

"Any man's got two legs can ride," the owner said.

"Not Sully," Loren said.

"He's scared," Jake said.

At that, Sully stepped closer and flint of steel in his eye that quickly silence the crowd. "How much?" he asked, and Logan blinked taken aback.

A short while later Logan was leaning against the of the small corral at Robert E's livery with Brian over his shoulder sitting on the fence. They watched as Robert E held the reins of the animal as Sully circled it.

"Don't show him your scared," Robert E said, reassuringly.

"He knows," Sully snapped as the horse jerked.

"Make believe, Sully. That's what I do," Brian said.

"Come on Sully you can do it," Logan said.

Biting his lip Sully slowly approached the animal and with a soothing voice to keep it, calm he slowly slipped into the saddle leaning far forward before sitting up straight. For a few seconds Sully and the horse remained still. Then the horse gave a scream and started thrashing wildly and with a wild swing Sully was thrown from the saddle and Logan grimaced as he landed hard face first in the dirt.

"That's had to hurt," Logan, muttered, walking forward to help him up and he spat out some dirt from his mouth. "But it could had been worse. Could have landed in that," and he gestured to the pile of horse manure that he had barely missed.

That night after leaving the animal at one of Sully 's camps they found themselves at the homestead sitting at the table as Matthew was helping Brian with his fishing pole. On the other side of the table was Mike and Colleen who was trying on her new dress that Mike had gotten for her for the social Founders Day.

"Look how it twirls," Colleen said, excitedly before spinning around and Michaela drew her hands back so the pins wouldn't rip the fabric.

"Lovely, now could you stand still?" Mike said, laughing as she continued pinning it to the right length.

"What if no one asks me to dance?" Colleen said, suddenly worried.

"They'll all ask you."

"But what if no one does?" And at once, she went to Matthew. "Will you?"

"I'm busy here," he said, before returning the fishing poles.

"Please, you gotta learn some time."

"Will you hush!" and he lightly pushed her back.

"Colleen, come over here," Mike, urged laughing. "You're losing all the pins," and Colleen returned to her.

"Colleen if it would make you feel any better I'll ask you to dance," Logan said, and she beamed at him. "So Olive put up one her prize Bulls and Jake free haircuts and shaves for a month to raise money for the school house?" and Mike nodded pins in her mouth. "Never thought I'd see the day when Jake would give anything for free without something in return. Did you put up anything?"

At that, she paused. "Smallpox vaccinations for the family," she said through the pins.

Sitting back Logan blinked. "That may not have been the best choice but still a good thing to have."

"I just thought it would help."

"We're not saying that but you have to remember that some people are pretty hesitant to new things," Sully said.

"That's what Olive said, who I might add adamant against it because her favorite aunt died from a bad vaccine. When I tried joining the quilting circle when Emily suggested it. She also said, that I act like I know everything," she said, then looked around as people glanced at each other. "Well feel free to disagree," she exasperated.

"What we didn't say anything?" Brian said.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Frowning Logan turned to it and after sniffing the air his frown deepened as Mike went to it and opened the door. To find the man Sully had bought his horse from before on the other side.

Smiling he removed his hat. "Hello, Colleen," he said, beaming.

"Pa! Pa!" Colleen cried and Logan started in surprise his mouth opening slightly as the girl ran into his arms.

"Pa, you came back!" brain cried darting forward. "I knew you would!"

"Brian, come here boy!" Mr. Cooper said. Looking from Mike, Logan slowly looked at Matthew who remained where he was in stunned silence. "Evening ma'am," and Mr. Cooper nodded to Mike who like Matthew was still as a statue.

Soon enough everyone was gathered around Mr. Cooper as he sat at the table pulling out presents for the kids from his saddlebags. "This came all the way from China," he said, as he handed Colleen an elegant fan.

"Thank you pa," she said, beaming before kissing his cheek.

"You're welcome darling," he said, then turned to his bag again as Colleen went to show Mike the fan. "Matthew if you happen to have a young lady, this's make a mighty fine gift," and her held up a small bottle of perfume he took out of a small velvet lined box.

"I don't."

"Liar," Brian accused and Logan remembered how he had been eyeing one of the immigrant girls in the camp.

"Hush up!" Matthew snapped.

Looking a little down cast Mr. Cooper lowered the bottle. "Well, I see you still like to go fishing, Matthew," as he eyed the poles before looking back at the teen. "How 'bout tomorrow you and I go out and try our luck, huh?"

For a few seconds Matthew remained where he was looking at his father before he shook his head. "I got something to do," he said.

At that, Mr. Cooper turned to Brian. 'What about you young man what have I got for you, huh?" and slowly he pulled out a large white bone from his bag. Glancing at Mike Logan saw her shift uncomfortably. "You know what that is? That's the backbone from a dinosaur. Picked it up in Wyoming last fall."

"You said, you were in San Francisco last fall?" Michaela asked, and Logan's frown deepened.

Slowly Cooper looked at her. "Did I?" he asked, and she nodded. "I guess I'm just not very much good at time, ma'am."

And memory, Logan thought.

"That's apparent," Mike said and Brian hopped off the table and went to show Matthew the bone with an eager voice.

Slowly Cooper looked back at his bag of things. "What else have I…oh yeah," he started then reaching in and pulled out a bottled ship. "It's a ship," he said, proudly as he showed it to them. "My partner and I bought an interest in it. It's on its way to China right now. Going to be bring back silks and spices. Going to sell to all the finest stores in San Francisco."

For a few seconds Mike looked form the bottle to him. "I'm curious, Mr. Cooper. What induced you to leave your business and journey here?" she asked, leaning against the table.

At that, a look of sorrow crossed his face as he lowered his gaze. "I got word that their ma died. And I'm very grateful to you. ma'am, for picking up my burden," he said, and the Colleen and Brian lowered their faces in grief.

Smiling Dr. Mike smiled as she walked behind the kids. "They're no burden I can assure you Mr. Cooper," she said, walking behind Matthew and Colleen and held them close.

Logan and Sully left soon after walking and riding through the dark of the night. "So what do you think of him?" Sully asked, looking up at Logan.

Pausing he pulled Wildfire to a stop. "I don't know it's too early to tell," he said, before urging Wildfire forward again.

Over the next couple of days, Logan watched the homestead from various hiding places. He watched as he taught Colleen how to dance (then Matthew slunk off to practice the steps), taught Brian about baseball, and told Mike his side of why he abandoned Charlotte and the children to follow his dreams. All the while, he couldn't shake the feeling he got from the man.

One day he and Sully returned baring a turkey for their dinner. "Mr. Sully. Where's your horse?" Cooper asked, greeting them.

"We're looking for Dr. Mike," Sully said.

Smiling Cooper came close then froze as Wolf began to growl at him baring his teeth. As Sully soothed him, Dr. Mike came out. "Good morning," she said, in greeting smiling at them closely followed by the children.

"We brought a turkey for you," Logan said, then glanced down at Wolf.

"Thank you," she said, taking it from Sully. "You must come back later for supper to share it with us."

After looking at her Logan and Sully shared a glance with Cooper. "I don't think so," Sully finally said.

"Hey, Sully, come on," Brian pouted.

"You gotta eat with us," and they looked at Matthew as she stepped down from the porch and walked to them.

After looking at each other, they nodded. "We'll be back later," Logan said, turning Wildfire they left.

"Maybe Wolf's just feeling a little over protective," Sully suggested as they rounded the corner.

"We've always considered him a good judge of character," Logan said. "Plus to be frank we don't really know anything about him. He comes riding in baring presents…it just feels like something is off."

"I feel the same as you do but he's probably the only blood those children have…maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt. At least for the time being…for the children…that a problem?" Sully said.

"Not at all but I can't speak for Wolf."

Later Logan and Sully arrived back at the homestead for dinner. After watching, Mike and Colleen baste the turkey that Colleen had cooked. Logan licked his lips before looking back at Cooper as he kept talking.

"…in Carson City, once we raise the capital could bring us, uh, nice profits," he was saying from one end of the table.

"Heard they shut down mining there," Sully said, from the other end as they brought the turkey to the table and Colleen sat across from Logan and Sully who sat next to Matthew.

"Well, you must have heard wrong," Cooper said. "Dr. Quinn, you continue to surprise me," he complimented gazing at the bird.

"Colleen cooked the turkey. Who wants to carve?" she asked, blushing.

At once both Sully and Cooper stood. "Well its Mr. Sully 's turkey," and Cooper waved his hand at him.

A small smile on his face Sully bowed his head. "You're the guest," he said.

Slowly Mike and Logan looked from Sully to Cooper. "Fine then," he said, and they sat back down and Mike laid the turkey next to him before taking her seat at the other end.

"Before we start, let's join hands." Cooper said, and slowly the people around the table took did as he asked, Logan watching him as he bowed his head. "Thank you, Lord, for all these generous gifts. And thank you for bringing this family back together. We'll never be parted again. Amen."

After the prayer Matthew not looking at his after asked, "That means you're staying?"

"Nope. I'm going to be taking you kids back to San Francisco with me," Cooper said, and as Colleen and Brian squealed before rushing forward to embrace him. The others froze looking at each other before turning to Mike's stunned and sorrowful face.

A couple days later after the fateful dinner and Logan listening to Cooper telling Colleen and Brian about their home to be. How it would have everything from canopy beds to ocean views. He stood with Sully and Springs Dawn in a small clearing Sully facing his horse with Wolf off to the side.

After arriving Cloud Dancing slipped from his mount and walked to them. "You never wanted a horse," he commented coming close.

"This one came to me," Sully said, as Cloud Dancing began examining the horse's teeth.

"What you fear will always come to you," Cloud Dancing said, as he moved on to the horses eyes.

After lowering his gaze Sully said, "when I was young I saw my brother get his foot caught in a stirrup…get dragged to death," he admitted and Logan stood straight from the tree he had been leaning against.

"Heck of a good reason to be afraid of them," he muttered, and Sully looked at him.

For a few seconds the group stood in silence. "You look this horse in the eye and you thank him," Cloud Dancing finally said, breaking the silence.

"I thank him?"

Cloud Dancing nodded. "For the gift he's going to give you," and he passed the horses head to Sully and started back for his own. "For the next days, you do not leave this horse," he instructed before swing back on to his and motion Logan did the same onto Wildfire then helped Springs Dawn on. "We will return when you two become one," and with that they rode away.

So over the course of the week Logan, Cloud Dancing and sometimes Springs Down watched Sully from afar and hidden from his sight as he worked with the horse. They watched as he would rub the animal down as if trying to get himself and the animal used to each other's touch. Then he started leading the animal in circles with him and employed various techniques he had watched the Cheyenne do with Wolf nearby or walking alongside them.

At night, they would sleep together under the stars. And as time progress, they saw Sully slowly but surely loose his fear of the animal. And at long last Sully began to climb onto the horse on his own and Logan smiled, as animal didn't try to buck or throw him off.

So when the day came the three returned and Logan, Cloud Dancing, and Sully rode around in circles together. Pulling their animals to a stop Sully looked at Cloud Dancing's beaming face as he bent forward to relive pressure from his unaccustomed backside. "Remember, the two-leggeds and the four-leggeds, where made by the same creator. We are relatives," he said, and he rubbed his horse's neck.

Sighing Sully sat up straight on his horse before turning his horse away from them. Urging it forward they watched as he slowly brought it to a gallop as he rode away. "He's going to be just fine," Logan, muttered, sliding down from Wildfire to stand by Springs Dawn.

"Maybe we should call him, 'He Who Conquers Fear' from now on?" she suggested.

After a thought, Logan shook his head. "Doesn't has the same ring to it," as he watched Sully ride proudly through the Prairie.

The next day at the Founder's Day Celebration, both Logan and Sully rode into town. Some people looking surprised to see Sully on the horse. "You're sure showing them," Logan muttered, as they dismounted.

Smiling Sully shook his head as they looked over across the meadow as the Reverend was suctioning of a fine quit from the sewing circle. "Now's whose going to give me forty! Forty will bring us right up to five hundred dollars! Every lady that sewed on this quilt put a little of her spirit into it. Olive, Emily, and…and Harriet," the Reverend was saying as they came close.

Not in town for the last week, Logan leaned close to Grace when they reached her. "What happened to Herriot?"

Sadly, she looked at him. "She died a few days ago…ate some peaches that turned, Dr. Mike did everything she could but…," and Logan looked at Sully.

"Forty," and solemn voice said, and looking over Logan spied Harriet's husband dressed in black. "It's the last piece Harriet ever sewed."

For a few seconds there was silence. "And it's yours," Reverend said, and the crowd applauded quietly as he came forward and paid.

Seeing movement at the edge of the crowd, they turned and watched Dr. Mike walk away from the festivities. Following her as she stopped at the bridge to lean against it, Sully muttered, "not in the celebrating mood?"

Slowly she looked at them. "I see you and your new horse have become friends," she said, nodding to it and looking over Sully shrugged. "Sometimes it's becoming a little to quite around the homestead, can't imagine how I'll bear it there without them."

"Don't let him take 'em," Sully said, simply.

"He's their father."

"I think he gave up that right when he ran the first time," Logan said.

"He came back."

"And for what purpose?"

"Didn't…didn't you ever make a mistake and wish you could go back to set things right?" she said, hesitantly.

For a few seconds they looked at each other. "Is that what's really bothering you?" Sully asked, and Logan glanced at him.

Slowly she looked away from them. "Look maybe he'll change his mind," Logan said.

She shook her head. "No you're right, it's about Harriet," she said, facing them again. "She died of a burst appendix. She brought her family for smallpox vaccinations the day before Mr. Cooper came. I didn't see it."

"Well, could you have saved her?" Sully said.

"I…I just don't know. But I could have tried," she said, then looked back at the crowd. "I haven't told Harriet's family what she really died of."

"Why not?" Logan asked, crossing his arms and frowning.

"They already believe I'm not competent," she said, before looking back at them. "How could they ever trust me?"

"Speaking the truth is what makes people trust you," Sully said.

"He's right," and she looked at Logan. "It's better to show humility then arrogance. Besides you learn more from failure then success, next time you'll be more careful," and she nodded as music began to play and they walked back across the bridge to see people moving on the dance floor.

They watched as Colleen danced Cooper with Matthew standing by the girl as she moved to the beat. When the dance was over Cooper came over with Colleen who was flushed red from it. And facing her, he asked, Mike to dance the next dance with him.

Accepting she walked onto the floor with as the slower music began as like the other couple they front to back and moved to the center of the floor as he held her hands wide in his. Logan and Sully watched as they moved gracefully across the dance floor the other couples stopping to watch them as well. The dance ended with him spinning her around a couple time before she stepped closer again and the crowd applauded.

As Mike bowed low to Cooper, glancing over Logan saw that though Sully 's face was loose his eyes were hard with a flint of steel. Just then, the cook rang the triangle. As people moved over to get some food, he was grateful for the distraction.

With a cup in hand, both Logan and Sully watched as Mike and Cooper walked and talked. "You've come along way, Mr. Cooper," Logan heard her say.

"Ethan,"

She looked at him. "The children seem very happy," and they stopped to look at each other. "I'll miss them."

"I've been thinking," Cooper said. "We might just settle here for a while."

"You might?" she asked, almost breathless with relief.

"I've got something to stay for now," he said, running a finger down a loose strand of her hair.

"Come on, Pa, or all the food will be gone!" Brian said, coming close.

"Matthew's saving places," Colleen said, joining them.

"All right. Y'all run along. I'll…I'll be along later. I'm going to help set up the fireworks," he said, and Logan frowned.

"Was there supposed to be fireworks here?" he asked, looking at Sully who nodded as he two watched Cooper. "Are they already set up?" again he nodded. "Then where is he going?" and they watched him cross the meadow to the church.

With Sully giving Wolf the command to stay, they followed. As they entered, they heard the sounds of something being opened and paper rustling. And they watched as Cooper standing behind the alter took the money for the schoolhouse out of its box and slipped it into his inside pocket.

"Put it back, Ethan!" Logan snapped face livid and Cooper's head whipped up to look at them as they walked forward.

When they got close, he let the box close. "Here!" he barked tossing it at them the coins inside rattling.

At once, their hands shot up to shield themselves. When they looked again their hands flying to their tomahawks he was level with them a pistol in hand leveled on them. Slowly they turned to watch him as he stepped over pews circling them.

As they started to draw their weapons, he cocked the hammer. Slowly they raised their hands. "Good-bye, Mr. Sully, Mr. Logan," and with that he turned and ran out of the church.

When he was gone, they took off after him. When they got outside, he was half way across the meadow. They heard him give a whistle and Sully 's horse broke away from where it was tied and came to him as he ran the rest of the way.

Darting over as he mounted the horse then froze when he turned the gun on them again. "Hold it!" he barked. "Nice and quiet," he muttered, and with a kick sent the horse into a gallop and rode away.

At the sound of footstep behind them, they turned and saw Michaela come toward them. "What happened? Where's Mr. Cooper going?" she demanded.

"He stole my horse!"

"What!"

"He stole the school money and stole Sully 's horse!" Logan snapped.

"No you must be mistaken!"

"We saw him!" Logan snapped again then gave a whistle and Wildfire came over.

"I got to borrow a horse," Sully said, and taking a brown from the saloon both of them thundered out of town.

Riding at a breakneck pace both of them followed Cooper's trail. When they caught sight of him, again as he jumped a fallen log they urged their horses faster jumping the same log. At Sully 's signal, they took an alternate route and stopping at the top saw Cooper below them keeping up the pace as he kept looking behind him then start to slow down.

Urging their horses back into a gallop the barreled down the path. Just as they were about to reach him he spotted them and tried to make a break. Before he could, they were on him and leaping from their horses tackled him to the ground.

Rolling to their feet Cooper drew his weapon. In a flash, Logan's tomahawk was in his and he threw it. It hit Cooper in the wrist and he dropped the gun clutching it. Before Logan could do anything, more Sully tackled the man again sending them both rolling across the ground.

Back on their feet, Sully grabbed him and drove his fist into the man's face. Back on the ground, Cooper tripped Sully up and back on his Cooper grabbed Sully and drove his fist into his face. As he came down on top of him, Cooper wrapped both hands around Sully 's neck and started to choke him.

Before Logan who had hung back, to make it fair could do anything a shot rang out. Whipping around drawing his knife Logan stared in shock as he saw Michaela. The horse she had ridden after them resting a short distance away. With Cooper's pistol now pointed at its owner who had sprung off Sully.

"Don't you move Mr. Cooper!" she snapped as Sully regained his feet.

Stepping close he reached inside Cooper's jacket and took back the money, which he held out to show Michaela. "I was planning on repaying it," Cooper said, quickly and Michaela boiling with anger stepped forward to be level with Sully and Logan. "I got a payment due; we're going to lose our ship."

"Stealing is one thing, but how could you do this to your children?" Mike demanded.

"I was going to send for them," he muttered.

Logan rolled his eyes. "You're not that good of a liar," he snapped.

"You come riding in with presents! Filling their heads with dreams of San Francisco! Get them to open their hearts! You're good at that…" she said, her sweet voice taking a dangerous tone.

"Most con artists are," Logan put in with a growl.

"…and you weren't even going to say good-bye," she finished.

For a few seconds he looked at them his adam's apple bobbing. "I wanted to…I really care for you."

"You're a liar!"

"I wish I were the kind of father that my kids need. Truth is, I'm just not up to it. They're better off with you," he finally admitted and for once Logan heard the truth in his words.

"Give us the gun…" Logan started.

"NO!" she shouted jerking it away.

For a moment, Cooper looked at her. "Go ahead shot," he said, hollowly.

For a few seconds she glared at him shifting her grip on the weapon. "Turn him lose," she finally said, lowering the weapon.

"What?" Sully demanded, as they looked at her.

"Take the money back to the church. No one knows it's gone."

"What are you think of?"

"The children," she said, and they both froze. "I don't want them to see their father tried and sent to jail like a common thief. Better, he just disappears. True to his nature."

For a second Logan looked at her before lowering his gaze and nodding knowing she was right. "Go on," Sully said, grabbing him. "So, tell me, how many times have you sold this horse, Ethan, and stolen it back?" and he led Cooper back to his horse.

"Wait!" and both men turned to Logan. "You're going to go free but not that easy," and he stepped forward, Sully moved aside.

For a seconds Logan and Cooper held each other's gaze. Then in a flash of movement, Logan spun around nailing him with a kick across the face sending him to the ground. "That's for your children!" Logan snapped and Cooper climbed back up holding his jaw a little blood coming from it. Before he could do anything else, Logan spun again and gave Cooper a hard kick to the gut. "That's for Michaela!" He said, then walked over and grabbed Cooper and lifting him up drove his fist into his face. "That's for the con!" and he drove his knee into the man's gut. "That's for the money!" then nailed him under the jaw with a rising elbow and more blood came out of his mouth. "That's for the horse!" And picking the man up again lifted his trembling arm and gave him a solid slap on the wrist. "And that's because I don't like you," and with that he turned and walked back to his horse and mounting they rode off leaving him there.

Back in the meadow Logan and Sully watched as Mike sat on a bench and told them the story they had put together on the way back. That of Cooper getting an urgent telegram and had to set out right away for San Francisco. They walked forward under their protests.

"He didn't have time to say good-bye?" Matthew asked.

"He asked, me to say it for him," she said.

"And…," Sully started and they looked at him. "He left a letter," he said, offering the folding piece of paper in his hand

With a grateful look in her eye, Mike took it. "Uh…why don't you read it," Sully said, and she nodded.

Unfolding it she held it out to read, "'Dear children, I've learned that our ship was lost in a storm in the Pacific. My partner, I fear is lost with it. I must leave straight off for San Francisco to save what I can of our business. I'm sorry…I can't take you with me. But I rest easier knowing I'm leaving you in good hands. Please know that I love you. I always will. Your Pa,'" and upon finishing she held a sobbing Brian and Colleen close while above them Matthew's face set.

"Maybe he'll come back," Brian said.

"He did before," Colleen said.

"I wouldn't count on that," Matthew muttered, as Logan and Sully moved away their backs to them. "Can I see the letter?"

"I was getting used to having pa around," Colleen sobbed and Matthew walked over to Logan and Sully.

For a few seconds there was silence between them. "One of you writes good," Matthew, muttered, breaking the silence and they looked at him.

"Why do you say that?" Sully asked, frowning confusion.

"My pa can't write," and their shoulders slumped and biting his lower lip Logan looked away shaking his head. "Dr. Mike always says speak the truth."

"In this case, the truth would only hurt," Sully, said.

"What's better for them Matthew?" Logan asked, facing him. "A lie that draws a smile, or a truth that draws a tear," and Matthew held his gaze.

"Read it again," Brian said, behind them. "Matthew, please."

Still looking at him Sully nodded in their direction. Slowly Matthew patted their shoulders, which they return before turning and all three rejoined Mike and the other two. Solemnly Matthew unfolding the letter to read it again.

Later that night Logan after escorting her from Harriet's watched from as Mike stepped into Emily's house for a few seconds there was silence then. "I wanted to speak to you about Harriet," she said, emotionally, focusing the wall vanished for him, and he saw the quilting circle at work with her before them.

"I wish to God she hadn't eaten those peaches," Emily said.

"It wasn't the peaches. She brought her family to me for vaccinations the week before she died. I saw she was in pain, but she made light of it, and I didn't examine her," she said, and Logan saw Olive looked rather smug. "I should have, because…her appendix burst."

"Appendix?" Olive said, shocked her smug look vanishing.

"You mean, she needn't have died?" Emily asked.

"Well, I…I don't know," Mike said, and they all looked at her. "It may have been too far along for me or anyone to help her, but…if I'd seen it, I could have tried." And looking at Olive he saw her face begin to soften. "I know I sometimes act like I have all the answers," she continued and Olive lowered her gaze. "Well, I don't," and Olive again looked up at her. "I make mistakes. And this is one…that I must…learn from. And live with," and he could almost hear the tears in her voice. "I wanted to tell you the truth," and they looked sadly at her before she turned to leave.

"Hold on, please" and she looked back at Olive. "There's an empty seat here," and Olive waved at the seat across from next to where he guess Harriet had sat. For a couple seconds she looked at her then slowly turned and joined the circle. Smiling Logan watched Olive hand her some material and they all began to work.

After watching for a few seconds, Logan's eyes turned to the stars. I'm here Kimberly and I'm still waiting.
