Chapter 19

3 days later…

Bo walked out on to the balcony and stared out at the ocean. It was a beautiful day, clear skies, the temperature was a perfect 75 degrees, and there was a light breeze in the air. Bo mumbled quietly as she went over the check list in her mind. She was planning on proposing to Lauren later on in the day and she was a little nervous. She really hoped that all of her plans went off without a hitch. She took her cell phone out of her pocket and dialed the one person who could calm her nerves.

"Hey Bo-dacious! How's the anniversary vacay going for BoLo?" Kenzi said with a huge grin.

"Hey Kenz! Everything is going great so far." Bo said.

"Have you guys done the touristy thing and explored Santorini or have you guys been locked in your hotel room banging each other's brains out?" Kenzi chuckled.

"Har, Har, very funny. But if you must know, we have done a little sightseeing, in between banging each other's brains out." Bo laughed.

"Why am I not surprised?" Kenzi said playfully. "Where is the fine Doctor?" Kenzi asked.

"She's downstairs getting the full spa treatment that I set up for her, facial, mani, pedi, and a massage." Bo took a nervous breath and it didn't go unnoticed by Kenzi.

"What's wrong? You sound nervous, is today the big day?" Kenzi asked.

"Yeah, it is. I just want everything to be perfect Kenz." Bo said.

"It will be. She is going to love what you have planned for her, it's going to be romantic and thoughtful, her jaw is gonna drop when she gets a load of that enormous diamond you got her, and then she'll say yes." Kenzi reassured Bo.

"Thanks Kenzi, I knew you'd be able to help settle my nerves." Bo smiled. "Well Lauren should be getting back soon, so I'll let you go."

"Okay, but you better call me a soon as its official!" Kenzi said excitedly.

"You know I will. Bye Kenz." Bo grinned widely as she placed her phone back into her pocket.

Bo took a deep breath and began to daydream about her future with Lauren. She pictured them getting married, buying their first house together and then she blushed as she imagined them christening each room. She chuckled as she thought, 'why does every thought I have of her eventually end with us naked?' She answered herself out loud, "Because she's the best I've ever had."

"Who are you talking to?" The unexpected sound of Lauren's voice made Bo jump. She turned around to see Lauren standing a few feet behind her smirking.

"Gosh Lauren, you scared me." Bo said as she brought her hand up to her chest, feeling her heart beat rapidly.

"Aww, I'm sorry hun, you just looked so cute talking to yourself." Lauren moved toward Bo and wrapped her arms around her.

"I wasn't talking to myself, I was just thinking out loud." Bo smiled as she moved her arms to rest loosely around Lauren's shoulders and neck. "How was the spa treatment?"

"It was amazing, thank you for that. I just wish you would have joined me." Lauren leaned in and kissed Bo's lips.

"I know, but I had to finish getting things all set up for this evening." Bo grinned.

"Fine, but we have to do a couple's massage before we leave." Lauren said. "So, what were you thinking about before I interrupted?" Lauren began to pepper Bo's neck with soft kisses.

"You." Bo tilted her head to give Lauren better access to her sensitive neck. "You keep doing that and we won't make it on time for the surprise I have planned for you." Bo moaned softly.

"Mmm… I can't help it; your neck is so irresistible when you have your hair up like this." Lauren mumbled as she began to nip and suck on Bo's pulse point.

"You're giving me a hickey aren't you?" Bo chuckled. "The one you gave me before we got here just barely faded away and I still have that massive one you put on the inside of my upper thigh."

"Are you complaining?" Lauren smiled into Bo's neck.

"Not at all." Bo put her hands on either side of Lauren's face and pulled her in for a passionate kiss.

Lauren moaned into the kiss as she tightened her hold on Bo. She slid her hands under the tight tank top Bo was wearing, allowing her finger tips to graze over the soft skin she found there. She then maneuvered her hands under the waistband of Bo's shorts and panties, only stopping to knead Bo's ass. Bo knew she needed to put the brakes on what was happening or they would never make it out of the room on time, so she reluctantly broke the kiss.

"Babe, we can't." Bo whispered as she tried to control her breathing. "We are on a time schedule today, but I promise we can continue this when we get back." Bo pecked Lauren's lips lovingly.

"You're right; I wouldn't want to miss what you have planned for us." Lauren took a deep breath and pulled away. "We better get ready it's almost time to leave." Lauren took Bo by the hand and led her to the bedroom. "But just to make sure we aren't distracted further, we should change in separate rooms, because in all honesty if I see you naked right now, I wouldn't be able to control myself." Lauren looked at Bo over her shoulder.

"Good idea, because I'm not sure I could control myself either." Bo took a deep breath through her nose to help reign in her libido a little. "You take the bathroom, I'll take the bedroom." Lauren nodded, grabbed her stuff and went into the bathroom to get ready. Bo went about getting ready as well. Once she was finished she went to the closet and got the ring box that contained Lauren's engagement ring. She opened the box and grinned as her eyes settled on the beautiful ring inside. 'This ring is going to look amazing on Lauren's finger,' Bo thought as she closed the box and placed it securely in her bra. She walked over to the mirror and gave herself a once over, making sure the ring box was not noticeable. Happy with the way she looked she took a deep breath and went to the living room to wait for Lauren. About ten minutes later Lauren emerged from the bedroom ready to go.

"All set?" Lauren asked.

"Yup, let's go." Bo followed Lauren out the door and down to the lobby.

Upon entering the lobby Lauren immediately recognized Nikki and her husband Michael sitting there. She approached the pair with a happy but surprised look.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Lauren asked as she greeted Nikki and Michael with a hug.

"Your lovely girlfriend invited us to join you today." Nikki responded.

"Really?" Lauren said as she looked at Bo with a grin.

"I thought since it was their last night here, we could all do something together." Bo said as she put her arm around Lauren's waist. "You all ready to go?" Bo asked the group before leading them outside and into an awaiting cab.

They arrived at their destination within 10 minutes. Lauren lit up when she seen where they were.

"A helicopter tour?!" Lauren's excitement was evident as she exited the cab behind Bo. "Baby, you remembered." Lauren hugged Bo tightly. She couldn't believe Bo remembered when she mentioned to her that riding in a helicopter was on her bucket list.

"Of course I remembered." Bo leaned in and kissed Lauren. "We get to ride in a helicopter all the way to Cyprus; I know you've wanted to do some sightseeing there, so after you ma 'lady." Bo took Lauren's hand and helped her into the helicopter. Once they were all settled in, they took the hour and a half flight to Cyprus.

Island of Cyprus…

The couples had spent the last few hours touring the city of Paphos, they were now enjoying an early dinner at a small café near the harbor.

"Can I get you anything else?" The waiter asked, his voice was deep and his accent was thick.

"No, I think we're good." Michael responded.

"You know the city of Paphos has one of the most beautiful landscapes in all of Cyprus. You should take a walk along the shore and take in the sunset, it is most remarkable." He said as he cleared the table.

"That sounds great, we should go do that." Bo said as she looked around the table. "Shall we?" Bo asked as she rose to her feet.

"Let's do it, I can't think of a better way to end the day." Nikki said as she too stood.

"Well that settles it, let's go." Lauren stood and took Bo's hand, lacing their fingers together.

They all made their way down to the shore and began walking along the sea's edge. Bo held Lauren's hand tightly as the butterflies in her stomach came roaring to life. Nikki, Michael, and Lauren conversed amongst themselves as they walked. They commented on how beautiful the water looked, how the weather was perfect for a sunset walk, and how clear the sky was. Bo was lost in her thoughts and wasn't paying much attention to what was being said until Lauren gave her hand a squeeze.

"You okay babe, you're being awfully quiet." Lauren asked as she leaned into Bo.

"Yeah baby, I'm fine, just taking it all in." Bo looked at Lauren and gave her a small smile. "Let's go get a closer look at that rock formation over there." Bo pointed to where she was talking about. "Looks like it may be interesting judging from all the people around it."

"It looks like a good place to take some pictures as well." Michael piped in.

As they approached the formation they noticed a lot of couples stepping into the water around the giant rock. As they did so, they would kiss and then touch the side of the rock. Lauren looked on and couldn't help but wonder why they did this. Bo tugged on Lauren's hand gently to get her attention.

"It looks like a couples thing, let's do it." Bo said as she began to remove her shoes.

"Okay, why not." Lauren said as she too removed her shoes, Michael and Nikki following suit. They walked into the water a few feet and basked in the warmth of it. Bo stood in front of Lauren and kissed her, like the other couples did. Michael dipped Nikki and kissed her as well. Just as Lauren was turning to walk back to shore Bo stopped her.

"You're probably wondering why all these couples step into the water and kiss." Bo looked back toward the giant rock and continued. "This is Petra tou Romiou, which translates into, Rock of the Greek, also known as Aphrodite's Rock." Bo returned her attention to Lauren. "Aphrodite as you know, is the goddess of beauty, pleasure, and most importantly love. This is believed to be her birthplace. The locals believe that if couples step into the water and kiss here near the rock they will be blessed with eternal love."

"Wow, how do you know that?" Lauren looked at Bo in awe.

"I did some research." Bo winked and took Lauren's hands interlacing their fingers. The sun was setting behind them, casting an amazing orange glow all around them, illuminating the water beautifully. "I brought you here at sunset Lauren because I couldn't think of a more romantic way to do this. This is the most ideal spot in the world, to express to you how much I love you and how much I believe that our love is a forever kind of love, an eternal love." Bo gazed lovingly into Lauren's eyes. "Before I met you, I never believed in true love. I never believed that I could love someone so deeply, so passionately, and unconditionally. Lauren, you are the greatest love of my life, I love you more than I have ever loved anyone else, ever. You ignited a fire in me from the moment we met; I knew from our first kiss that I would never want to kiss another for as long as I live. I knew the first time we made love that I never wanted anyone else to touch me that I would never have the desire to touch anyone else. Babe, you're it for me. I just want to spend the rest of my life loving you, taking care of you, making sure you always feel safe, and making sure you only cry those happy tears… so…" Bo pulled the ring box out of her bra, which garnered a little giggle from Nikki. She took Lauren's hand and got down on one knee right there in the water. Lauren gasped as Bo revealed the ring inside the velvet box.

"Bo…" Lauren whispered as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"Doctor Lauren Lewis… will you marry me?" Bo looked up at Lauren with tears in her eyes and a nervous smile. Lauren's response was instant.

"Yes, yes, a million times yes!" Lauren exclaimed through happy tears. Bo's smile reached her eyes as she slipped the ring onto Lauren's finger, her tears beginning to glide down her face.

As soon as Bo stood up Lauren wrapped her arms around Bo's neck and kissed her passionately, expressing all the love and happiness she was feeling through that kiss. The people around them began clapping and cheering as they continued to kiss. Nikki wiped her tears away as she looked on, feeling nothing but joy and happiness for her good friend.

"I love you so much Ysabeau Dennis." Lauren said as she rested her forehead against Bo's, not yet ready to let go of their embrace.

"I love you too Lauren Lewis." Bo whispered against Lauren's lips before kissing her gently once more.

"Did you plan all of this?" Lauren asked as she pulled back to look at Bo.

"Yeah, I did." Bo smiled shyly.

"I can't believe you did all this for me." Lauren looked at Bo and then at her ring. As she got a good look at it her eyes grew wide. "Bo, this ring must have cost you a fortune! It's so beautiful! What is it 4, 5 carats?"

"6, actually and It did cost a small fortune, but you're worth that and so much more." Bo smiled as she watched Lauren admire the ring. "It's a one of a kind; I designed it especially for you. I hope you like it because we can't take it back." Bo laughed.

"Like it? I love it! 6 carats… wow!" Lauren's smile stretched from ear to ear. "It's perfect babe."

"Congratulations you guys!" Nikki beamed as she approached the happy couple. "I am so happy for you both!" She wrapped her arms around them and hugged them tightly.

"Yeah, congrats ladies!" Michael said. "And I recorded the whole thing; I'll send it to you." Michael waved his phone in the air before hugging Lauren and Bo. "Let's get back to Santorini and celebrate, drinks are on me tonight." Michael announced.

With that they all made their way to the helicopter and headed back to Santorini. Lauren and Bo held hands the entire way, stealing kisses in between looking at the ring and talking with their friends.

Local tavern in Santorini…

"To an amazing couple..." Michael said as he raised his shot glass. "Even though I just met you ladies, I feel like I can really call you my friends. Bo, even though you're making me look bad with that enormous rock you put on Lauren's finger…" Everyone around the table laughed as Michael cocked an eyebrow at Bo. "I am really happy for you both. So here's to a happy life together, and congratulations to you ladies!" They all tapped glasses and drank their shot.

"I'd like to say congratulations to you ladies as well…" Nikki took a breath in an effort to hold off her tears. "Lauren, I am so glad that we reconnected here. I'm also so, so happy for you. You deserve all the happiness in the world and someone wonderful to share it with… and it looks like you've found that someone." Nikki looked over at Bo with tears in her eyes. "Bo, thank you for loving Lauren the way she deserves to be loved. I know you'll take good care of my friend." Nikki raised her shot glass. "To Bo and Lauren." The group once again tapped glasses and drank their shots. Lauren leaned over and hugged Nikki tightly and whispered a thank you into her ear.

The rest of the evening the couples talked and laughed and enjoyed some drinks. Nikki and Lauren told some stories of their college days and some of the shenanigans they were involved in. Michael shared stories from his time in Afghanistan; surprisingly they weren't all about combat. Bo also shared a little bit about some of her crazier moments with Kenzi. Nikki said she couldn't wait to meet Kenzi, she sounded like a ton of fun. As the evening came to a close, they all hugged and said their goodbyes and promised to keep in touch and perhaps visit one another before the end of the year.

1 hour later, hotel room…

When Bo and Lauren got back to the hotel, Lauren was surprised when she entered their room. There were candles and scattered rose petals all around the living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Bo had the resort staff set it all up while they were out. Now they were both relaxing in the large whirlpool tub. Bo was sitting with her back against the tub; she had one hand resting on Lauren's lower belly, while the other caressed her neck and shoulder.

Lauren was seated comfortably between Bo's legs, one hand gently caressing Bo's thigh and knee, while the other rested on top of the hand Bo had on her belly. She rested her head against Bo's upper chest, sighing contently as she relished in the intimate moment. Lauren continued to smile while she looked at her ring, loving the way it sparkled when the light hit it.

"I can't get over how breathtaking this ring is." Lauren said, breaking the silence.

"You're breathtaking." Bo smiled and kissed the tip of Lauren's ear.

"When did you get it?" Lauren asked.

"A few weeks before our anniversary… I wanted to propose to you on our anniversary, but…" Bo trailed off.

Lauren turned her head so she could look at Bo. "I'm so sorry about that babe, I-" Lauren's words were cut off when Bo captured her lips in a sweet kiss.

"Don't be. I got to plan a much better, much more romantic and meaningful proposal." Bo kissed Lauren again. "This proposal makes for a much better story to tell our kids." Bo pressed another kiss to Lauren's lips, then to the tip of her nose.

"How did I get so lucky?" Lauren closed her eyes and whispered as she rested her head in the crook of Bo's neck. "I love you more than anything… and I can't wait to become Mrs. Dennis."

Bo pulled back to look at Lauren. "You want to take my last name, no hyphens?"

"Of course I want to take your last name." Lauren shifted slightly so she could look directly at Bo. "I changed my name to Lewis because of the Nadia situation. I can't think of a better way to start a new life with the woman I love, than to drop my made up name and close the book on my past forever." Lauren grinned at Bo and said, "Besides, Beattie is my true last name and let's be honest hun, Bo Beattie does not sound good at all." Lauren chuckled.

"No, you're right, Bo Beattie is not appealing." Bo laughed. "I can imagine all the jokes Kenzi would have for that."

"You would definitely never hear the end of it." Lauren laughed along with Bo.

"Are you going to change your name back to Karen?" Bo asked.

"No, I like Lauren. I never really liked the name Karen." Lauren responded.

"Oh good, because I like Lauren too… it sounds better." Bo grinned.

"That it does… especially when you're screaming it." Lauren's voice dropped to a level that Bo always found extremely sexy.

"Is that right?" Bo quirked a perfectly shaped eyebrow.

"Mmhmm" Lauren smirked as she nodded her head.

"Well Doctor, you screaming my name sounds pretty damn good too." Bo leaned in and nipped at Lauren's lower lip. "How about we get out of the tub so I can make love to my breathtakingly beautiful Fiancée and see how many times I can get her to scream my name." Bo left a trail of kisses down Lauren's neck and onto her bare shoulder.

"Fiancée… god I love the sound of that." Lauren's breath hitched as Bo began to nibble on the sensitive spot under her ear.

"Come on; let's take this to the bedroom." Bo stood to her feet and stepped out of the tub. "Wait a second; let me grab a towel for you." She put on the terry cloth robe that hung on the back of the door, walked over to the shelf near the sink, grabbed a towel and returned to Lauren.

Bo helped Lauren out of the tub and began to delicately dry her off. She then dropped the towel and picked up Lauren, bridal style and carried her to the bed. The room was dimly lit by the few candles that were still burning as well as by the full moon that reflected off of the ocean outside.

Bo placed Lauren on the bed gently, and stepped back for a moment to look upon her Fiancée's magnificent naked form.

"You are absolutely exquisite Lauren… I can't believe that someone like you even exists… I am honored that you want to be my wife." Bo slid the robe off her shoulders and let it fall to the floor. She climbed onto the bed and slowly crawled her way toward Lauren. She hovered above her for a moment, taking in every inch of Lauren's flawless face and honey colored eyes. Lauren reached up and placed her hands on either side of Bo's face, pulling her down for an intense, but slow kiss. They kissed that way for what seemed like hours before Bo pulled back and gazed into Lauren's eyes.

"Bo, you…" Lauren's eyes welled up with tears as she took a shaky breath. "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me… You have showed me what love is…" Lauren's tears began to flow. "Thank you for loving me like you do… and for the record, I am the one who is honored, honored that you asked me to be your wife."

Bo smiled down at Lauren before capturing her lips in another sweet kiss. She kissed Lauren across her jaw and down her neck and into the valley between her breasts. Lauren closed her eyes and pushed her head back into the pillow, moaning softly as Bo took a hardened nipple into her mouth. Bo's tongue swirled around her nipple slowly, before she started to nip and suck on it, alternating from gentle to hard, causing a multitude of delicious sensations to shoot through Lauren's body all at once.
