A/N: Thank you all for your reviews, I read each and every one of them. You all had a lot to say about Katrina. The response she received was exactly what I was going for. I have to insert a little angst to keep things interesting. Let's see how Bo and Lauren handle her. Also, I haven't really dived into who or what happened with Bo's parents. I briefly touched on it here and there because up until now it's been really all about Lauren's journey as well as the relationship between her and Bo. I don't know that I will dive deep into Bo's backstory, I'm not sure it's necessary, but we'll see.

Chapter 21
Clubhouse, Thursday afternoon…
Bo sat on the barstool while Lauren straddled her, leaning her lower back against the island as they continued to kiss. Bo's hands continued to slide up and down Lauren's thighs as Lauren's arms hung loosely around Bo's neck. Bo pulled back with a grin as she moved to unbutton Lauren's shirt, just enough to reveal her black and white lace bra. Bo dipped down and showered Lauren's chest with open mouth kisses and light nips. Lauren bit her lip and arched into Bo as she watched her Fiancée pull her bra down a bit exposing her left nipple. Bo whimpered and her mouth watered when she saw it harden before her eyes. Wasting no time, she took the puckered nipple into her warm, wet mouth, and lightly sucked on it, earning a moan from Lauren.
Kenzi had called the couple while they were out to lunch and asked them to meet her at the clubhouse to set a date and a budget for their wedding. Today was the first day that Lauren and Bo had the afternoon to spend together since getting back from their vacation. Lauren was on nights this week and didn't have to go into work until 2. Bo only had one class on Thursday morning and was out by 10, so they decided to get some time in together. They finished their lunch and hurried home only to be waiting on Kenzi for almost an hour now. What started out as flirting and light kissing had turned into a make-out session that was becoming dangerously close to a full on sex session.
"Babe, we have to stop." Lauren whispered but continued to hold Bo's head in place as she persistently devoured the blonde's breasts and chest.
"I don't want to stop." Bo mumbled as she continued her ministrations.
"Bo…" Lauren moaned.
"Doesn't sound like you want me to stop either…" Bo smirked as she gave Lauren a light nip on her left collar bone.
Lauren reluctantly pulled Bo away from her chest and lifted her face up so she could look her in the eye. "I don't want you to stop, I never want you stop, but we have to." Lauren leaned in and kissed Bo, keeping it innocent so they wouldn't start up again. "Kenzi should be here any minute and I'm afraid that if we don't stop she'll walk in on us doing it right here on the island and we'll never hear the end of it." Lauren smiled at a pouting Bo.
"Fine… but for the record, it would be her fault. She knows anytime you and I are alone for more than a few minutes, we're bound to end up naked." Bo grinned.
"True, but I still want to spare her from seeing us naked and in the throes of passion on the surface of where she eats." Lauren chuckled.
"It's not like I haven't taken you on this island before." Bo countered with a smirk on her face.
"Yes… but, she doesn't know about it, and I was able to clean and disinfect thoroughly before she came home." Lauren smiled.
"Alright, alright, you win." Bo adjusted Lauren's bra but couldn't keep her fingers from stroking her nipple one last time before tucking her breast back into it.
"You couldn't help yourself could you?" Lauren giggled.
"Nope, you know I have no self-control when it comes to you or your exposed flesh." Bo stated proudly. Lauren shook her head and kissed Bo. Bo returned the kiss eagerly, nipping Lauren's lower lip before their tongues met in a familiar dance. They were so lost in the kiss they didn't hear the front door open or Kenzi clear her throat. The sound of Kenzi's voice is what finally caught their attention.
"Break it up ladies! We got business to tend to and the way you guys are, you'll end up naked before we can get started." Kenzi said loudly as she made her way to the island and dropped her bag down with a thud.
Lauren pulled back with a smile as she thought about how well Kenzi knew them. She moved to get off of Bo's lap, and missed the warmth of Bo's body instantly. She pulled a barstool up next to Bo's and took a seat.
"Well what do you expect us to do when you have us waiting on you for an hour?" Bo countered.
"Um, what normal people do, watch TV, talk, do a crossword." Kenzi retorted. "Not every couple goes at it like bunnies on Viagra." Bo and Lauren couldn't help but laugh at Kenzi's comment. "Oh and Hotpants, nice bra but can you please button up?" Kenzi chuckled at a blushing Lauren.
"Sorry…" Lauren mumbled as she buttoned her shirt.
"Well then, let's get down to business." Kenzi reached into her bag and pulled out a day planner. "Did you ladies decide on a date?" Kenzi asked as she opened her planner and uncapped her pen.
"We did." Bo said as she looked at Lauren and took her hand, lacing their fingers together. "December 1st."
"Okay, great… December 1st…" Kenzi mumbled as she wrote the date down in her planner. She looked up and asked, "Do you want to get married in church?"
"No, neither of us is tied to any religion, so it really wouldn't be appropriate." Lauren said.
"Okay, so no church, no Minister, who do you want to perform the marriage ceremony?" Kenzi asked.
"Trick, he is going to get ordained so he could marry us." Bo smiled as she thought how awesome it would be to have her grandfather marry them. "I really wanted Trick to be a part of the ceremony in some way, so Lauren suggested that he get ordained, which he happily agreed to do."
"Wow, go Trickster! That's a wonderful idea." Kenzi exclaimed. "Okay so next item on my list… budget?"
"Well, we talked about it and we think that we'll play it by ear. Neither of us want anything extravagant or over the top." Lauren said.
"Yeah, just a small intimate wedding with our family and friends… we want to do the ceremony and reception at The Dal." Bo chimed in.
"Really?" Kenzi asked.
"It's where we first met and where we ultimately fell in love." Bo squeezed Lauren's hand affectionately.
"Then it's the perfect place to say your vows." Kenzi beamed.
"We thought so." Lauren smiled.
"You ladies don't have to worry about a thing; I'll handle all the details. The only thing left for you to do is pick out dresses." Kenzi clapped her hands together. "Oh! And no shopping together. You can't see each other's dress before the big day." Kenzi pointed at the couple like a parent scolding their child.
"Okay…" Bo put her hands up in mock surrender. "That's fine; I think we can handle that."
They chatted a little bit longer as Kenzi threw out ideas about décor and flowers. They also discussed their engagement party on Saturday. Kenzi had it all set up at Club Azul. She contacted her friend that worked as a promoter for the club and got a sweet deal. The club is going to close off the entire VIP section for the engagement party as well as cater the event and give them access to the private bar in the VIP section all for a discounted rate. Lauren's Mom and Brother were flying in as well as Nikki, her husband, and Natasha. Lauren was excited to see her old friends and her family.
"I got to go Babe." Lauren said as she stood in front of Bo. Bo opened her legs and pulled Lauren in closer.
"I'll let y'all say your goodbyes in private; I got some phone calls to make." Kenzi hopped off her stool and went to her room.
"I know… I wish you didn't have to." Bo leaned in and kissed Lauren gently. "I wish we could continue where we left off earlier."
"I know me too." Lauren gave her infamous half smile. "But I promise I'll let you have your way with me when I get home tonight." Lauren whispered against Bo's lips before kissing her passionately.
"Mmm… can't wait." Bo drawled as she slid her hands over Lauren's ass and gave it a gentle squeeze. "Can I bring you dinner later?"
"I'd like that very much, but aren't you working tonight?" Lauren asked as Bo continued to caress her backside.
"Yeah, but I'll get Kenzi to cover me for an hour." Bo shrugged.
Lauren removed Bo's hands from her ass. "You got to stop that, you're making me horny and I don't have time to do anything about it."
"You could be a little late…" Bo unbuttoned Lauren's slacks and pulled Lauren closer. Lauren took that as her cue to straddle Bo once again. As soon as Lauren settled herself on Bo's lap, Bo slid her hand inside the Doctor's pants and began stroking her.
"I have no willpower when it comes to you." Lauren moaned loudly as Bo entered her and all thoughts of being late to work went out the window. "Oh fuck…" Lauren buried her hands in Bo's hair as she began to ride Bo's fingers.
"Willpower is so overrated." Bo smirked. She pumped in and out of Lauren relentlessly as she kept up with Lauren's pace. She loved the look on Lauren's face when she got lost in her pleasure. It was a side of Lauren that no one else had the privilege of seeing, it was a side that no one else would ever see. This side of Lauren was hers and hers alone and she basked in it.
A few minutes later Lauren's walls clenched around Bo's fingers as she reached orgasm, she bit down on Bo's neck to muffle her scream as she came. Bo tensed as Lauren's teeth sunk into her, no doubt bruising her flesh. When Lauren came down from her orgasmic high she ran her warm wet tongue along Bo's tender neck to soothe the pain of the bite.
"I'm sorry babe; I know that must have hurt." Lauren ran her fingers softly over the bruising area of Bo's neck.
"No need to apologize, bringing you to orgasm was well worth it." Bo kissed Lauren's fingers as she stopped them from inspecting her bite mark. "I love you."
"I love you too, but I really got to go." Lauren got off of Bo's lap and buttoned up her slacks. She leaned in and kissed Bo thoroughly. "I'll return the favor tonight… multiple times in fact, if you drop me off at work so I don't have to find parking." Lauren gave her best sexy smile as she played with Bo's collar.
"Bo jumped off the stool and grabbed her keys. "What are we waiting for, let's go." Bo grabbed her hand and led a giggling Lauren out the door.
The Clinic…
Bo pulled up in front of the clinic in record time; Lauren was only 5 minutes late. Bo hopped out of the car and hurried around to open the passenger door for Lauren.
"That was quite chivalrous of you." Lauren teased as she wrapped her arms around Bo.
"What can I say; you bring out the gentlewoman in me." Bo leaned in and gave Lauren a slow sensual kiss. "I'll be back later with dinner." Bo pecked Lauren's lips once more before releasing her hold on the Doctor. "Have a great day, I love you."
"You too, I love you." Lauren gave Bo one more chaste kiss before walking into the clinic to start her shift.
Bo stood there watching her fiancée's retreating form until she was completely out of sight. She put her sunglasses on, got back into the car and drove away.
Meanwhile inside, Lauren greeted Brian with a huge smile as she passed him on her way to her office. She was positively glowing and anyone who laid eyes on her could see it. Lauren was finally in a place in her life where she had everything she ever wanted, a great job, great friends, and an amazing relationship with a woman she couldn't wait to marry. She never thought that she'd find the love of her life, her soul mate, but she did and her name is Ysabeau Dennis and on December 1st she would become her wife.
Lauren put on her crisp white lab coat and took a seat in her chair. She went over the files of the patients that had appointments that afternoon and evening. As she sifted through the data the picture frame that held a picture of Bo caught her attention. The frame sat at the corner of her desk near her computer. She reached over and took the frame in her hand as she gazed at the photo with a goofy grin.
The photo was of Bo leaning against the railing of the balcony at the hotel in Santorini. She had her sunglasses resting on the top of her head, the breeze was blowing through her hair lightly, and the sun was setting over the ocean in back of her, casting an amazing glow around her. She had a beautiful smile painted on her face, her dimple out in all its glory, and she was absolutely radiant in the photo. But that is not why Lauren chose that photo to rest on her desk. She chose it because of the look in Bo's eyes. It was the look that was reserved for Lauren; it was the look of pure love and desire.
Over the last couple of weeks, whenever Lauren was having a bad day, or an overwhelming day, she'd sit at her desk and look at that photo of Bo and she'd gain a sense of calming just knowing that soon enough, she'd be back home and in the arms of the woman she loved with all her heart. Lauren was brought out of her thoughts when she heard Brian's voice over the intercom.
"Dr. Lewis?" Brian called out.
"I see the intercom is up and running again." Lauren responded.
"Yes Doctor, it was fixed this morning."
"Glad to hear that. What's up?" Lauren asked.
"There is a new patient requesting to see you." Brian said.
"Really, are you sure they want me?" Lauren was puzzled; she didn't think she had been practicing in Toronto long enough for anyone to seek her out.
"Yes ma'am, he asked for you by name. He's just here for a routine physical." Brian answered.
"Hmm… okay, what exam room is he in?"
"Exam room 4."
"Alright, I'm heading there now." Lauren informed Brian before walking out of her office and down to exam room 4.
She approached the room and grabbed the chart hanging from the door. She flipped through it, but didn't recognize the name of the patient. She opened the door and entered the room with her head down as she continued to go over the chart.
"How are you today Mr. Thor-" Lauren looked at the patient wide-eyed as she realized who it was. "Dyson, what are you doing here?" Lauren asked.
"Hello Dr. Lewis." Dyson said softly, a small smile playing on his lips. "It's been a while. I hope you don't mind that I asked for you specifically. I need a physical; it's an annual requirement for all detectives of the Toronto PD." Dyson cleared his throat nervously.
"No, no I don't mind at all. I'm sorry, it's just I'm really surprised to see you, and even more surprised you asked for me." Lauren flipped nervously through the chart again. "And I didn't recognize the name on the chart, it says Fergus D. Thornwood."
"Yes, I'm a junior. Fergus is what my father goes by, so to make it easier around the house growing up, my Mom opted to call me by middle name, Dyson and it stuck. Besides that, I really prefer Dyson over Fergus."
"Fergus, that's Gaelic for 'strength and bravery' isn't it?" Lauren asked.
"Yeah, it's a traditional Scottish name." Dyson chuckled. "The meaning of that name is why my father decided to go into law enforcement; he wanted a job where he could protect people, a job that was made for a man who was strong and brave. That's why I followed in his footsteps and joined the force."
"Well he must be really proud of you." Lauren smiled.
"He is." Dyson sighed. "Although, I don't think he'd be too proud of what I did to you or how I treated you, Lauren." Dyson put his head down in shame.
"Dyson, you don't have to do this." Lauren said softly.
"Yes, I do Lauren. I am really sorry for what I did, for having you arrested. There is no excuse for it." Dyson looked at Lauren with sincerity. "I'm also really sorry that it took this long for me to be a man and apologize to you." Dyson paused for a moment, unsure of how to proceed. "Bo… isn't an easy woman to get over… and neither is my stupid pride. I had a really hard time accepting that Bo didn't love me like I loved her." Dyson gave Lauren a small smile. "You really are a good woman, Lauren. There is absolutely no denying how happy and in love you and Bo are. My heart and my pride have finally accepted that I will only ever be a friend to Bo, and I am okay with that." Dyson stood to his feet and reached for Lauren's hand. "I know I don't deserve anything from you, but I really hope one day you could forgive me and we could start over, maybe become friends."
Lauren was momentarily speechless, which Dyson misinterpreted as a rejection of his apology. He put his head down and went to release Lauren's hand when she held on, preventing him from letting go.
"Thank you for that Dyson. It really means a lot to me." Lauren squeezed his hand and smiled when he made eye contact. "Apology accepted, and I too would really like to start over with you, build a friendship, but first let's get through this physical." Lauren winked.
"Yes ma'am." Dyson saluted and hopped up on the exam table.
The physical went off without a hitch. Dyson was in great health and in great physical shape. She could see why Bo was attracted to him.
"All done, everything looks great." Lauren said as she jotted down a few more notes in Dyson's chart.
"Thanks Doc… for everything." Dyson smiled as he finished buttoning up his shirt.
"No problem, I'll fax your health clearance to the Toronto PD within the hour." Lauren said, holding the door open for Dyson as they exited the exam room.
"Sounds good, thanks again Doc." Dyson said. "I'll see you around." Dyson turned to walk away when Lauren called to him. He stopped and waited as she made her way over to him.
"Kenzi is throwing Bo and me an engagement party this Saturday, I'd really like it if you'd come… I'm sure Bo would like to see you there as well." Lauren grinned.
"Only if you let me buy the happy couple a drink?" Dyson chuckled.
"Deal! I'll have Kenzi text you the info." Lauren nodded.
"Then I'll see you Saturday, have a good one Doc." With that Dyson made his way out of the building.
Lauren smiled as she headed to her office. She was taken by surprise when Dyson apologized, even more so that he really seemed sincere. She couldn't wait to see the look on Bo's face when she tells her. Lauren was brought out of her musings when she felt someone grab her bicep gently, successfully stopping her in her tracks.
"Dr. Lewis, long time no see." Katrina smiled as she allowed her hand to linger on Lauren's bicep, her thumb stroking the material of the lab coat softly.
"It hasn't been that long…" Lauren said as she pulled back her arm. "What can I do for you?"
"A lot of things come to mind, but none that are appropriate to say out loud." Katrina purred as she stepped into Lauren's personal space.
"Don't." Lauren said as she took a step back and unfortunately into the wall.
"Relax Lauren, I won't bite…" Katrina took another step towards Lauren, effectively trapping her. "…unless you're into that kind of thing." She whispered, biting her lip seductively as she openly ogled Lauren.
"I'm en-engaged; pl-please leave me alone." Lauren said nervously. Katrina's aggressiveness was beginning to make Lauren feel like she did when she was with Nadia.
"You don't sound so sure Doctor." Katrina smirked.
Before anything else could happen, Katrina was interrupted when Brian cleared his throat, drawing both of their attention.
"Excuse me, Dr. Lewis, Bo called, she's on her way over with dinner." Brian stood looking between the women until Katrina took a step back. Lauren let out a noticeable breath she didn't realize she was holding.
"Well, I guess that's my cue to take my leave." Katrina said, never looking away from Lauren. "Tell the fiancée hello for me." Katrina winked at Lauren and walked away.
"Are you okay Dr. Lewis?" Brian asked softly as he approached Lauren.
"Yeah…" Lauren nodded anxiously. "I'm fine, thank you." Lauren smiled sadly at Brian and walked to her office.
Once inside she closed the door, sat down on her couch and tried to reign in her emotions. She really felt frustrated by her encounter with Katrina. Frustrated that she allowed herself to become Karen, the weak and vulnerable woman she was with Nadia. Frustrated that she didn't handle the situation the way she should have. She should have stood her ground more firmly. She shook her head and wiped the tears that began to roll down her cheeks. Just then there was a knock on the door right before it opened and in walked Bo with take out.
"Hey babe, I got your favorite dish from the little Thai restaurant you love so much." Bo walked passed Lauren and set the take out on Lauren's desk. She turned around with a smile that disappeared as soon as she seen Lauren wiping away her tears. Bo rushed over to Lauren, kneeling in front of her and taking her hands into her own.
"What's wrong, baby?" Bo's concern was evident in her voice.
"Nothing, I'm okay." Lauren squeezed Bo's hands as another tear made its way down her cheek.
"No, you're not…" Bo gently wiped away the tear. "Please tell me what's going on."
"Promise me you won't get mad… promise me that you will let me handle it." Lauren spoke softly as she looked into her fiancée's eyes.
Bo took a deep breath to try and center herself. She knew that whatever it was that Lauren was about to tell her was most definitely going to upset her. "I can't promise you either of those things, but I do promise you that I will hear you out and we will discuss this before I do anything, okay?" That was the best compromise Bo could come up with, because if anyone hurt Lauren she was going to lose it. Bo cupped Lauren's cheek and kissed her gently on the forehead before moving to sit next to her on the couch.
"Okay…" Lauren swallowed the lump in her throat as she began to tell Bo what happened with Katrina.
Needless to say, Bo was livid. She stood up and began to pace the office, clenching and unclenching her fists as she tried to control her anger. Bo stopped abruptly and went to exit the office, determined to find Katrina and give her an ass whooping she'd never forget. But Lauren was up and blocking her path to the door. Bo reached for the door knob but Lauren planted her back up against the door preventing Bo from pulling the door open.
"Move out of the way Lauren." Bo said sternly through clenched teeth.
"No Bo, I can't let you do whatever it is you are planning to do, which probably includes beating Katrina to a pulp." Lauren looked at Bo worriedly.
"Please move!" Bo raised her voice but didn't quite yell.
"I can't do that…" Lauren's voice cracked. "Please baby, please calm down." Lauren pleaded.
Bo threw her hands up in frustration which caused Lauren to flinch. That reaction stopped Bo dead in her tracks. For the first time since she let her anger take over, Bo took a good look at Lauren and seen the scared, pleading look in her eyes. That along with Lauren flinching absolutely broke Bo's heart.
In that moment Bo's anger was replaced with shame and regret. She was ashamed that she allowed herself to get so lost in her anger that she failed to control her actions, which surely must have triggered some of those awful memories that Lauren had of Nadia's abuse. She would never lay a finger on Lauren and the last thing she ever wanted was for Lauren to be afraid of her.
"Lauren…" Bo breathed out before pulling Lauren into a tight embrace. "I'm so sorry…" Bo peppered Lauren's face with kisses as she continued to repeat, "I'm sorry."
"Hey, hey, it's okay Bo." Lauren smiled her half smile as she took a hold of Bo's face, stilling her movements. "It's okay."
"No, it's not Lauren. I should have known better." Bo looked deep into Lauren's eyes, "Please know that I would never hurt you, I would never lay a hand on you." Bo's eyes turned glossy as she was near tears.
"I know that baby." Lauren kissed Bo softly before pulling back to look at her. "I believe that with all my heart and soul." She leaned in and kissed her before taking her into her arms again. They held each other for a few minutes in silence before Bo spoke up.
"How do you want to handle this situation?" Bo pulled back to look at Lauren.
Lauren breathed in deeply. She led Bo back over to the couch where they sat closely together, their hands intertwined.
"I'm going to talk to her first, tell her to back off. If that doesn't work, then I'll talk to Dr. Caravelle and report her for sexual harassment." Lauren stated with confidence.
"Okay, as much as I want to go find her and let her have it, I won't. We'll do this your way, but, if I ever see her put her hands on you or corner you the way she did today, I get to handle it my way." Bo looked at Lauren with raised brows.
"I can definitely agree to those terms." Lauren grinned as Bo pulled her in for a quick kiss. "Now, can we eat dinner?" Lauren asked as she went to retrieve the take out bags.
For the next 45 minutes Bo and Lauren ate dinner and chit chatted about their upcoming engagement party. Lauren excitedly told Bo about Dyson's heartfelt apology, to which Bo was shocked to hear about. She was happily surprised that Dyson finally came around and was ready to move on. She looked forward to seeing him at the engagement party on Saturday. After they finished dinner Lauren walked Bo out and they said their goodbyes, but not before Bo pulled Lauren into a passionate kiss that made Lauren weak in the knees.
Saturday, Engagement Party, Club Azul…
"Alright, settle down people." Kenzi said as she stood in front of the party goers, mic in hand. Once the crowd quieted down and gave her their attention, Kenzi began. "Now that dinner is over and before we can boogie down, let's get the speeches out of the way." The crowd laughed as Kenzi continued. "As you are all aware, we are here to celebrate the engagement of my BFF Bo and her lady love Lauren." Kenzi paused as the crowd applauded. "I personally have never seen Bo happier and that is all because of you Lauren." Kenzi looked over at Bo and Lauren who were standing front and center.
Bo's left her arm was wrapped around Lauren, holding her close. Lauren's body was turned into Bo's left side, her left hand on Bo's shoulder while her right gently massaged the base of Bo's neck. They were both looking at Kenzi with huge grins.
"You ladies are an amazing couple and anyone who knows you can see the tremendous amount of love you have for one another. I am so glad that you are finally engaged and will soon be married. So let's all raise our glasses and toast Bo and Lauren and the fact that Bo finally grew a pair and asked the Doc to marry her!" The crowd erupted into laughter as they raised their glasses. "To Bo and Lauren!" The crowd repeated the phrase in unison. "Now I'd like to call up the happy couple so they can say a few words." Kenzi smiled brightly and hugged the couple as they approached her. She handed the mic to Bo and made her way over to stand with Hale.
"Krhm…" Bo cleared her throat nervously. Lauren sensing Bo's nervousness reached for her hand and intertwined their fingers, which calmed Bo's nerves immediately. "I want to thank everyone for being here tonight. It means a lot to the both of us to know we have all your love and support. I uh… I never really planned on getting married, or proposing to someone." Bo chuckled. "But, all that definitely changed when I fell in love with Lauren. The fact that Lauren has agreed to become my wife and spend the rest of her life with me, makes me the luckiest woman on earth." Bo looked at Lauren lovingly. "I can't wait to marry you babe, I love you." Bo leaned in and kissed Lauren as the crowd clapped. Lauren wiped away a few tears as Bo handed her the mic.
"Thank god this mascara is water proof." Lauren joked, the crowd laughing in response. "I too would like to thank you all for being here to celebrate our engagement. And a special thank you to Kenzi for putting all of this together for us." Lauren looked at Kenzi with a big smile. Kenzi returned the gesture with a smile and a nod. "I can't believe that I am actually engaged and set to marry this gorgeous woman, right here." Lauren took a hold Bo's hand and gave it a little squeeze.
"I can't believe she bought you that huge rock!" Jake shouted from somewhere in the crowd which caused everyone including Bo and Lauren to laugh.
"My baby deserves the best!" Bo responded to her future brother-in-law with a huge grin on her face.
"And so do you." Lauren said before reaching into the pocket of her slacks and pulling out a small velvet box. She placed the mic on the table behind them and dropped to one knee. "I know that you already did this and I already said yes… but I think every girl should be proposed to at least once in their life." Lauren opened the velvet box as she looked up at Bo.
Bo's mouth hung open as the look of sheer surprise was painted on her face. The ring inside was platinum, princess shaped, three stone, 5 carat diamond ring that rivaled Lauren's in beauty and in value. Bo looked at the ring and then to Lauren as tears began to form in her eyes.
"This is nowhere near as romantic as how you proposed to me, but I really wanted you to experience being on the receiving end of a proposal, and I really want put this ring on your finger to let the world know that you are going to be my wife. Ysabeau Dennis, will you marry me?" Lauren's smile reached her eyes as she looked up at Bo.
"Of course! Yes!" Bo chuckled through her tears. Lauren slipped the ring onto Bo's finger as the crowd erupted into cheers. She stood to her feet and engaged Bo in a passionate kiss that left both women breathless. Bo pulled back just enough to look at Lauren. "I love you, you know that?"
"I love you too." Lauren leaned in and kissed Bo once more.
"This ring is beautiful Lauren, I love it!" Bo beamed as she looked at her ring.
"Like you said, my baby deserves the best!" Lauren said as she kissed Bo's cheek.
Just then Kenzi announced it was time to get the party started. She signaled to the bartender and he flipped a switch that turned the lights down and allowed for the music that was blaring down on the dance floor to filter into the VIP area. Bo and Lauren stood back for a moment just to take it all in. They were surrounded by family and friends, they were celebrating their engagement, and they were in love and couldn't wait to be married. They shared one more lingering kiss before joining the crowd.
