A/N: First off I'd like to apologize for the long wait; I had a little bout with writers block. So I hope you all accept my apology in the form of an extra-long chapter from me. I also want to thank everyone for their kind words and encouragement. I may not respond to everyone individually, I wish I could, but I do read your reviews and I am always blown away by the response. Thank you all once again. And just a heads up, we aren't quite done with Nadia or Katrina.
So here we go! The wedding has finally arrived. This is my first time writing a wedding scene so hopefully it turns out okay. As always, Lost Girl characters belong to Lost Girl and its creators. I just borrowed them for this story.
Chapter 24
Wednesday, 3 days until the wedding…
Bo was leaning on the bar chit chatting with Dyson and Natasha when Kenzi entered the bar and made her presence known. She walked up to the bar, smacked Dyson lovingly on the back and took a seat on the empty barstool next to the detective.
"What up peeps!" She squealed. "Pour mama a beer Bobear." Kenzi said, hitting the bar top for emphasis. Bo laughed and went about getting Kenzi a beer. "So what are we talking about?"
"Oh, just how Dyson and Natasha seem to have a thing going on." Bo wiggled her eyebrows at the pair as she set a mug of beer in front of Kenzi.
"We told you, we don't have a thing going on, we just enjoy each other's company." Natasha said sheepishly.
"What can I say, we hit it off at your engagement party and-" Dyson started, but was immediately cut off by Kenzi.
"And you've been texting and talking like a couple of smitten teens ever since." Kenzi smirked. Natasha tried to hide the fact that she was blushing, but failed. "I made her blush, that means I hit the nail on the head!" Kenzi nudged Dyson with her elbow.
"That's enough Kenz." Bo chuckled. "Sorry about that, my bestie has no filter and just says whatever she's thinking, no matter how uncomfortable it can make someone." Bo patted Natasha's hand and smiled, hoping to ease her embarrassment.
"I guess I'll have to get used to it." Natasha grinned.
"Especially if you two work out." Kenzi winked.
"Anyway, if you must know, we are going together to the wedding, and we have a lunch date tomorrow." Natasha said as she sipped her martini.
"Yea, thanks to the bachelorette party you and Jake are throwing the happy couple, I have to settle for lunch and not dinner." Dyson arched a brow at Kenzi playfully.
"So sorry D-man, but I have to make sure my girl and her lady love celebrate their last moments as bachelorettes!" Kenzi exclaimed. "And trust me, Jake and I am going to help them close the book on single life with one hell of a party! I can't wait!" Kenzi said excitedly. "We found the most amazing strip-"
"No strippers! I refuse to watch some woman, all oiled up, with pasties and a G-string, grind all over my fiancée." Bo wasn't jealous that stripper would be dancing for Lauren, in fact they've gone to the strip club together and she's watched as Lauren received a lap dance. But Bo knew from experience that watching only served to turn her on. On one particular night, Bo was so worked up she had to have Lauren right then and there, so she paid the stripper double just so she would leave them alone in the champagne room, where needless to say, she fucked Lauren senseless. No, she was more jealous that someone else would be touching Lauren in a way that she hadn't been able to for the last month. She didn't want anyone else's hands on her woman, hired or not. If she couldn't touch Lauren, then nobody else would either.
"Fine! Geez Bobo, you're such a buzzkill!" Kenzi huffed.
"Oh well." Bo shrugged nonchalantly before grinning from ear to ear. "Besides, no one could ever give Lauren a better lap dance than me."
"You are correct about that; you do put on a pretty damn good show." Lauren said as she approached the bar and leaned across it to give Bo a kiss.
"Is that right?" Bo whispered as she pulled away slightly to look into Lauren's eyes.
"Mmhm…" Lauren hummed as she kissed Bo's cheek with a lingering kiss before whispering into her ear, "I was thinking about getting a stripper pole installed in the bedroom for you… you know, for exercise." Lauren smirked.
"Really?" Bo bit her bottom lip. "Exercise? Why do I have a feeling that it would be more about your personal entertainment, than exercise? " Bo smirked as she rested her elbows on the bar top, giving Lauren a delicious view of her ample cleavage.
"Well…" Lauren licked her lips as she took a good look at Bo's breasts that were begging to be touched. "I am a doctor…" Lauren tore her eyes away from the cleavage and looked up into chocolate eyes as she traced Bo's jawline with her index finger before sliding her finger down Bo's neck. "And your health is very important to me…" Lauren flashed her infamous half smile as she began tracing the top of Bo's breasts. "But to be honest…" Lauren brushed her lips against Bo's before pulling back slightly, "You're right... it would be mostly about my personal entertainment, but it would have the added bonus of exercise." The doctor leaned in and whispered seductively into Bo's ear, "Because after you worked that pole, I'd work every delicious inch of you. All. Night. Long." She nipped Bo's ear before pulling away, a devilish grin on her lips.
Bo growled as she pulled Lauren by the lapels of her jacket and kissed her thoroughly. For a moment everything and everyone disappeared as they lost themselves in that kiss. Lauren placed a gentle hand on the back of Bo's neck and pulled her even closer, deepening the kiss. The kiss went on for a moment longer before someone cleared their throat. Reality set back in, they pulled away slowly, panting softly as their surroundings came back into focus.
"I am so damn horny right now." Bo said her voice just above a whisper. "Just three more days babe, three more days until I get to completely devour you." Bo clenched her thighs and took a deep breath.
"I know and I can't wait." Lauren took a calming breath of her own. "We are almost to the finish line, we can do it." Lauren pecked Bo's lips softly. Bo nodded in agreement before putting much needed space between her and Lauren.
"Damn, is it just me or does the temperature rise every time those two are around each other?" Natasha asked as she fanned herself playfully.
"Nope, it's not just you. Those hot and horny wenches have that effect on people and it's only gotten worse since they haven't bumped naughty bits in a while." Kenzi giggled.
"Oh god!" Lauren covered her face with her hands as her cheeks turned a light shade of pink.
"See, no filter." Bo stated as she shook her head. Kenzi threw her hands up as she looked at Bo and Lauren with a "what'd I say" look plastered on her face.
"Anyways…" Lauren rolled her eyes. "I have to go pick up my mom and Jake at the airport. Can I use your car? It has more room and trunk space than mine." Lauren asked Bo.
"Of course babe, you don't have to ask. What's mine is yours." Bo winked.
"And what's mine is yours too." Lauren grinned. "Here…" Lauren handed Bo the keys to her Bentley. "I know you have a few errands to run when you're off, but we are still on for dinner with mom and Jake right?"
"Yep. I invited Trick, is that alright?" Bo asked.
"Of course baby, he's always welcome. Besides, you know how much Jake and Mom love talking to him." Lauren smiled.
"They sure do. I'm really glad everyone gets along so well. It really makes this whole wedding business that much easier." Bo responded.
"It sure does." Lauren glanced at the clock on the wall behind Bo. "I have to go; I'll see you in a little while." Lauren leaned in and kissed Bo sweetly on the lips.
"See you in a while. Drive safe babe." Bo pecked Lauren's lips once more before pulling away.
"Natasha, Dyson, Kenzi, see you all later." Lauren waved as she turned to walk away.
"Hold up Hotpants, I'll go with you." Kenzi chugged her beer and then headed towards Lauren. "I wanna go over some of the details for your bachelorette party tomorrow night."
"Oh, okay, well let's hit the road. We'll talk on the way." Lauren nodded toward the door.
Bo ogled Lauren's ass as she walked out the door. She shook her head as she tried to calm her raging libido and went about wiping down the bar. "I can't wait to start getting laid again." Bo mumbled.
Friday morning, 1 day before the wedding…
Bo began to stir as the need to pee battled the need to sleep. After a few minutes her bladder won the battle and she unwillingly forced herself to sit up. She braced herself as the room began to spin and her head pounded mercilessly. She blinked a few times and got her bearings before she stood on wobbly legs and with great effort made her way to the restroom.
Bo walked back toward the bed after washing her hands and for the first time noticed that Lauren was tangled up in the sheet clenching her pillow as she slept. Panic set in for a brief moment as Bo tried to remember if they broke there vow of abstinence. It was then that she realized that they were both fully clothed in exactly what they wore last night to their bachelorette party. Except her pants were unfastened and the zipper was completely down, which she barely registered, and Lauren's blouse was unbuttoned and opened wide, exposing her hot pink and black laced bra. The fact that they weren't naked put her mind at ease, until she saw a hickey under the blonde's left collar bone, not a very big one, but a hickey none the less.
Bo sat on the edge of the bed as she desperately tried to remember if they had sex or not. "We couldn't have… I mean we'd both be naked, right?" Bo mumbled. "Oh god, but we were both so damn drunk, anything could have happened."
"What's the matter babe?" Lauren croaked out in a raspy voice.
"Lauren did we…?" Bo trailed off. She turned and faced Lauren with a look of confusion painted on her features.
"No, we didn't." Lauren yawned and rolled onto her back. "We had a heated make-out session though. You gave me this…" Lauren pointed to the hickey on her chest, "and just as I was about to put my hand down your pants, you passed out."
"Really?" Bo sounded surprised as she tried to recall what happened.
"Uh huh." Lauren mumbled as she sipped from the water bottle on her nightstand. She placed the water bottle back and breathed out as she got comfortable again in bed.
"Well, I'm glad that we didn't break our pact." Bo sighed. "However, I am a little embarrassed that I passed out on you." Bo flopped back onto the bed, her head coming to rest on Lauren's lower abdomen. "That's definitely a first for me."
"Aww babe, don't worry about it, you were completely out of it." Lauren chuckled as she began to run her hands through Bo's hair, giving her scalp a light massage in the process. "I'm actually really surprised that you were able to get my shirt unbuttoned, let alone give me a hickey. That's quite impressive."
"If you say so, although I think you're only impressed because you love me." Bo smiled as her eyes drifted shut. She always got so relaxed whenever Lauren played with her hair. "Baby, that feels so good. Now if I could only get rid of this pounding headache everything would be perfect."
Just then Kenzi burst through the door, stumbled over to where the couple was relaxing, and curled up on Bo's side of the bed next to Lauren. She stretched her legs out before resting them on Bo's upper thighs. "How much did we drink last night?" Kenzi groaned. "My head feels like it going to explode."
"Join the club." Bo mumbled.
"I don't have a headache." Lauren said as a matter-of-factly.
"Are you being serious?" Bo asked as she opened one eye to look at Lauren. "Lauren, you drank just as much as we did, how do you not have a headache?"
"That is true, I did drink just as much alcohol as you guys did, but I also drank a glass of water in between my drinks which helped my body fight off dehydration, which is one of the main causes for your headache."
"Leave it to your girlfriend to science the hell out getting shit-faced." Kenzi retorted.
Bo sat up on her elbows and looked at Lauren. "You really don't have a hangover?"
"I said I didn't have a headache, I do have a mild hangover which mainly consists of being thirsty and sluggish. That's why I haven't bothered getting out of bed or out of these clothes." Lauren waved a hand over her body.
"Well Doctor…" Bo moved up on the bed squeezing herself in between Lauren and Kenzi, her hand gently caressing the exposed toned stomach of her fiancée. "Since you're faring better than we are… how about some aspirin…" Bo kissed just under Lauren's collar bone and right on the mark she placed there hours before. "And maybe some breakfast?" Bo gave Lauren her best puppy dog eyes.
"You know I can't say no to you." Lauren giggled. She leaned over and pecked Bo on the lips. "I'm going to go take a shower first; you stay here and rest a little more. I'll wake you when breakfast is ready." Lauren untangled herself from Bo and the sheets.
Bo scooted into Lauren's spot and nuzzled her face into the Doctor's pillow. "Thanks babe, I love you."
"Me too, Hotpants." Kenzi mumbled as her and Bo drifted back to sleep.
"Love you guys too." Lauren smiled as she headed into the bathroom, closing the door behind her.
As Lauren undressed and prepared to get into the shower she couldn't help but replay the events from the night before. Kenzi and Jake really did throw them one hell of a bachelorette party. It was one huge drinking fest that happened to include adult games, like pin the nipple on the boob. Lauren chuckled as she thought about how drunk and dizzy Jake was when he attempted to pin the nipple on the boob and ended up pinning a nipple on Hale's sleeve instead. Hale walked around most of the night unaware there was a nipple on his shirt.
The hot water cascaded down Lauren's body soothing her sore muscles. Lauren smiled brightly as she remembered why her muscles were a little sore. At some point during the night Lauren asked Kenzi where the strippers were, Kenzi then went on a rant about how Bo absolutely forbade strippers, even though according to Kenzi, a bachelorette party was not complete without strippers. So a drunken Dr. Lewis decided to give an equally drunk Bo, an impromptu lap dance in front of all their guests.
As soon as Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me" came on Lauren was completely in the zone. For the four minutes that the song played, Lauren gave Bo, what Bo called, "the lap dance to end all lap dances." Needless to say, that's how they ended up rushing home and engaging in a heated and sloppy make-out session that would have definitely led to them breaking the abstinence pact had Bo not passed out.
Lauren clenched her thighs as her libido raged war on her mind. She took some deep breaths as she rested her head against the shower wall. "One more day… just one more day." Lauren repeated that phrase over and over again until the throb in her center calmed to a manageable pulse.
"I can't wait to start getting laid again." Lauren said out loud before resuming her shower.
An hour and a half later…
"Breakfast was amazing, it definitely hit the spot. I am feeling so much better." Bo wrapped her arms around Lauren from behind as the blonde washed dishes. She placed delicate kisses up and down her neck. "I think you should move over and let me finish cleaning up, it's the least I could do." Bo whispered as she continued her ministrations.
"I'm almost done, besides I think I like the attention you're giving my neck too much to have you stop." Lauren tilted her head a little more, granting Bo better access.
Bo began humming "Pour Some Sugar on Me" as she started nipping and sucking on the blonde's neck and shoulder, which caused them both to giggle like school girls.
"By the way, that performance last night was so fucking sexy. We are definitely getting a stripper pole in the bedroom." Bo mumbled as she continued to assault Lauren's neck with open mouth kisses and light nips.
"Okay, break it up ladies!" Kenzi's hollered as she made her way into the kitchen.
Bo nipped Lauren's neck once more before releasing her hold on the doctor. "Impeccable timing as always Kenz." Bo raised an eyebrow as she leaned her back against the sink next to Lauren and crossed her arms.
Lauren chuckled and turned around to face Kenzi as she dried her hands with the dish towel. "What's up Kenz?"
"Trickster wants to know what time the rehearsal dinner is at." Kenzi said as she took a seat at the island. "He left me a message." She waved her phone at the couple.
"I already told him like three times, he's getting so forgetful in his old age." Bo replied as she reached for her phone and sent him a text.
"He's got a lot on his plate. Which by the way, the Dal is off limits to you two." Kenzi looked at the couple like a scolding mom. "No peeking at the set up for tomorrow. Trick and I worked hard on it and we want it to be a surprise."
"We promise, no peeking." Lauren smiled. "Oh, but my dress is downstairs in the closet." Lauren said, wide-eyed.
"No its not, I sent it over to the hotel with your mom since you'll be spending the night there tonight." Kenzi grinned.
"Thank you Kenzi, you are a life saver." Lauren said sincerely.
"You sure are. And just in case we forget to tell you tomorrow, thank you Kenzi… for everything." Bo walked over and gave Kenzi a big hug, which prompted Lauren to move and do the same. They held the small raven haired woman in between them as they both peppered her cheeks with kisses.
"Okay, okay! You're welcome, now let me go." Kenzi squealed.
The couple released their hold but stayed close. "We really wouldn't have been able to do any of this without you Kenzi. You have made this whole process so easy and stress-free for us, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you." Lauren removed a small rectangular box from her back pocket and handed it over to Kenzi.
Kenzi looked between the smiling women. "What's this?"
"This is our way of saying thank you for all that you've done for us, not only for this wedding, but for everything." Bo interlaced her hand with Lauren's as her eyes welled up with tears. "You are not only my best friend; you're the sister I never had."
"And I know I haven't known you nearly as long as Bo, but I too have come to look at you as a little sister… I love you Kenzi, we love you." Lauren smiled and gave Bo's hand a light squeeze. "So, open it up." Lauren nodded toward the small box.
Kenzi's vision blurred, as tears formed in her eyes. She slowly unwrapped and opened the box. She looked at Bo and Lauren with her mouth hanging wide open. "No way! Oh my god! No way!"
"Yes way!" Bo laughed.
"Are you fucking kidding me?! Where is it?" Kenzi said excitedly.
"Right outside… go take a look." Lauren grinned from ear to ear.
Kenzi ran to the door and ripped it open. She stood at the top of the steps and screamed as she jumped up and down. Bo and Lauren made their way over to the door right behind the excited Goth. Kenzi nearly tackled the couple as she kissed them both and repeatedly thanked them before running down the stairs and over to her brand new, all black, Chevy Camaro Z/28 that sat on custom chrome wheels.
The couple joined her down by the car and watched with smiles on their faces as Kenzi danced around the car.
"I can't believe you guys bought me a car!" Kenzi opened the driver's side door and climbed in. She inhaled the new car smell as she took it all in.
"Well you deserve it." Lauren said sincerely.
"Just two rules Kenz…" Bo looked at Kenzi seriously. "No driving drunk, and try and not speed too much." Bo smiled.
"No problem with the drinking and driving, I'm too responsible to do that. And no promises on the speeding, but not around schools or anything." Kenzi smirked.
"Just be careful and no excessive speeding, deal?" Lauren compromised.
"Fine, no excessive speeding Moms!" Kenzi laughed. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go show this baby off to Hale."
Kenzi thanked them again and head off down the road. Bo and Lauren watched until she disappeared down the street like a couple of proud but slightly worried parents. Kenzi had done so much for them and they were more than excited to show their appreciation in a big way. They held hands as they made their way back inside.
Rehearsal Dinner…
It was a delightful evening as Bo and Lauren's family and closest friends gathered at the restaurant for dinner. The conversation was light and everyone seemed to be laughing and having a good time. Jake and Kenzi were providing comic relief to the table as they both told funny and sometimes embarrassing stories of Bo and Lauren's childhoods. Nikki and Natasha also chimed in with a few stories from Lauren's college days.
Alice and Trick both went on and on about how proud they were that the two women found each other and were set to be married in less than 24 hours. All in all everyone, including Dyson made a heartfelt toast to the happy couple. Well everyone except for Kenzi, she said she was saving her toast until tomorrow at the reception since she was Bo's maid of honor. Jake then argued that he was Lauren's best man or man of honor, as Kenzi put it, and he still gave a toast, which led them to enter into a competition of who would give the best toast at the wedding. Loser has to buy the winner hangover breakfast on Sunday morning.
Bo leaned over and kissed Lauren on the cheek before standing to address the table. "Can I have everyone's attention for a moment?" Bo swallowed hard has she suddenly became nervous. Lauren placed a comforting hand on Bo's lower back to help calm her nerves. Bo looked down and smiled at Lauren before continuing.
"I just want to thank you all for being here with us and celebrating our last night as girlfriends, because tomorrow by this time we will officially be wives." Bo smiled brightly as the table erupted into cheers. "I don't want to say too much, because I'll end up saying some of the stuff I wrote in my vows." Everyone laughed lightly with Bo. "But I do have to say that, I am so, so excited to be marrying the love of my life tomorrow. And we are both so blessed and so thankful for all the love and support you all have shown us." Bo took Lauren's hand and interlaced their fingers and gave a small tug, encouraging her to stand. Once standing, Bo wrapped her arm around Lauren and pulled her close. "I love you Lauren Lewis and I can't wait to walk down that aisle tomorrow and become your wife."
"I can't wait to become your wife." Lauren said with tears in her eyes. They kissed lovingly as the table once again cheered for them. "I love you so much." Lauren whispered as their kiss ended. They looked deep into each other's eyes for a moment longer before returning their attention back to their dinner party.
"Once again, thank you all for your love and support." Bo and Lauren reached for their wine glasses as they raised them in a toast to their family and friends.
After dinner everyone decided to call it a night since they all had a long day ahead of them tomorrow. They headed to their vehicles and bid each other a goodnight. Lauren was all set to ride over to the hotel with Jake and her Mom, but asked them to wait a minute while she said her goodnight to Bo.
"Well, this is it." Lauren said as she wrapped her arms around Bo. "No talking, no texting, no seeing each other until we are standing at that altar tomorrow." Lauren rested her forehead against Bo's.
"I am really going to miss you." Bo whispered.
"I know me too. But, it's only for a few hours really and this time tomorrow we will be rushing out of the reception so we can get our honeymoon started." Lauren grinned.
"I am so looking forward to that. I am literally aching for you babe." Bo squeezed Lauren's hips. "Promise me we won't ever go this long without sex again."
"I promise." Lauren chuckled and kissed Bo tenderly. Bo pulled Lauren even closer and deepened the kiss. "I love you." Lauren said breathlessly as the kiss ended.
"I love you too." Bo kissed Lauren again. Just as Bo was about to deepen the kiss Kenzi honked the horn, prompting the two women to pull away. "I swear, after tomorrow, she better not clit block us for a long, long time."
Lauren giggled as she pulled Bo in for one more, quick kiss. "Goodnight baby, I'll see you at the altar tomorrow."
"See you at the altar, babe. Get a good night's sleep; you'll need all your energy for tomorrow night, soon-to-be Mrs. Dennis." Bo winked.
"Oh trust me I will, it's on tomorrow night." Lauren smirked.
With one more lingering kiss they made their way to their awaiting vehicles and called it a night. They both went to bed that night excited and a little nervous about the wedding the next day. It couldn't come fast enough.
Saturday, Wedding Day…
Bo paced back and forth in her bedroom wearing just her underwear, bra, and garter belt. She was waiting on Kenzi to bring her dress back. Bo was so nervous and antsy, she accidently got lipstick on the hem of the dress. Kenzi tried to reassure her that it was at the bottom of the dress and no one would notice it. But, Bo was adamant that she needed the lipstick off the dress before she would put it on. So, in true maid-of-honor and best friend fashion, Kenzi rushed off with the dress to it get back to being perfect and blemish free.
"I'm here, I'm here!" Kenzi rushed into the bedroom a little out of breath. "And your dress is perfect again, thanks to Lauren's mom."
"Lauren's mom, wait, you went all the way to the hotel? Oh god, did Lauren see the dress? Kenz, I wanted it to be a surprise." Bo said in a panic.
"Calm down Bo." Kenzi grabbed Bo by the shoulders to stop her panicked rant. "Alice is downstairs."
"Downstairs, where's Lauren, she didn't leave her alone at the hotel did she?" Bo began to panic again.
"Again, relax. Take a deep breath." Kenzi demonstrated by taking a deep breath of her own. "That's better. Hotpants is downstairs in her old room, anxious to get this show on the road. So let's get you ready. And before you panic again, no, she didn't see your dress." Kenzi reassured Bo with a smile.
Bo pulled Kenzi in for a hug. "Thank you Kenzi. I know I'm a basket case right now… I just want everything to be perfect."
Kenzi pulled away slowly. "It will be Bobo. I promise."
Fifteen minutes later Bo was completely dressed in her strapless, plunge neckline, (that showed off her girls divinely), form fitting, satin white wedding dress. There was extra length to the dress but not enough to be considered a train. Bo loved the way the dress hugged her curves and pooled around her feet. The dress was sexy yet elegant. She just hoped Lauren loved the dress as much as she did.
Meanwhile, downstairs…
Lauren stood in front of the full length mirror giving herself a once over. Her wedding dress was a halter V-neck that featured an open back that Lauren knew Bo would drool over. The material was satin and lace and it had tiny beads woven into the lacey fabric that sparkled whenever Lauren moved. Over all the white wedding dress was beautiful, classic and stylish. It fit Lauren perfectly.
Lauren's hair was done in an elegant up-do hairstyle that showed of her exquisite neck. She wore a pair of dangling diamond drop earrings along with a matching necklace. Her make-up was light and neutral, highlighting her natural beauty.
Lauren touched the necklace around her neck as she thought back to earlier in the day, when she received Bo's gift at the hotel…
Lauren took an extra-long shower as she tried to relax. She was a little nervous and wanted to settle down and take her time getting ready. She exited the bathroom wrapped in Bo's favorite kimono; she needed something of Bo's if she was going to get through not seeing or talking to her before the wedding.
"Lauren, a delivery arrived for you while you were in the shower, it's over on the table." Lauren's mom informed her before heading off to shower. "Oh and remember the hair and make-up artist will be here in an hour."
"Okay, thanks mom." Lauren smiled.
Lauren walked into the living room space of the massive suite she shared with her mother. Her face lit up as soon as she saw the beautiful flower arrangement and a gift settled in next to it. She knew right of way who it was from. She approached the table and bent over to smell the flowers. She then picked up the gift and the card that was attached and made her way over to the couch. She got comfortable and opened the envelope, pulling out the card and began to read:
"Good morning beautiful. I know I'm not supposed to be communicating with you until the wedding, but I couldn't help myself. I wanted to make sure that you had something new to wear on our wedding day besides your dress, so I got you a little something that will hopefully be the perfect accessory for your ensemble. I am so excited to finally marry you and I can't wait to see you walking down that aisle towards me. See you soon, I'll be waiting for you at the altar. I love you!"
-Bo-
…Lauren smiled as she thought about Bo's note and how much she loved the beautiful brunette.
"You look absolutely beautiful Lauren." Alice said, breaking Lauren from her thoughts as she stood in the doorway admiring her daughter.
Lauren turned around with a smile when she heard her mother's voice. "Thanks mom." Lauren's voice was a little shaky as she held her tears at bay.
"The wedding is going to start shortly and I just wanted to make sure you were all ready to go." Alice smiled.
"I'm ready." Lauren took a deep breath as she stepped toward her mom. "I can't believe this is actually happening. Today I get to marry the love of my life, I mean…" Lauren sighed. "After everything that happened with Nadia, I just never imagined…" Lauren trailed of as her tears threatened to spill over.
"Lauren, you deserve to be happy. Everything that you have been through, everything that you've experienced has made you the strong woman that you are today, a woman that I am damn proud to call my daughter. I am so happy that you found someone who will love and protect you the way you deserve to be. That's all I have ever wanted for you." Alice wiped a tear that began to roll down her cheek.
"Bo is everything I have ever wanted and everything I didn't know I could have." Lauren kissed her mom on the cheek. "I love you mom, thank you for always supporting me."
"I love you too dear. And I know your dad is looking down and is smiling ear to ear. He was always just as proud of you as I am." Alice smiled. "Now, for something borrowed, I want you to wear the diamond bracelet your father gave to me on our 10th anniversary." Alice fastened the bracelet around Lauren's wrist. "Bo already took of something new with that dazzling necklace and matching earrings, so… do you have something blue?"
"I do, my uh… panties are blue." Lauren said sheepishly.
"Oh okay, I guess you're covered then." Alice chuckled. "I'll be back to walk you up in about twenty minutes."
They hugged each other once more before Alice made her way out of the room, leaving Lauren to give herself one more look in the mirror. She had butterflies in her belly, but she was more than ready to say "I Do."
Bo's Bedroom…
Bo was sitting in a chair as Kenzi put the finishing touches on her hair and make-up. Bo had her hair in a sophisticated half-up hairstyle. The sides were pulled up and out of her face and the rest of her long dark locks hung down in loose curls. Her make-up was applied flawlessly; complete with a detailed Smokey-eye that highlighted her expressive chocolate orbs.
Kenzi stepped back as she admired her work. "You look gorgeous. Lauren is going to wet her panties when she gets a look at you!"
"Kinda what I was going for." Bo winked.
"Krhm."
Bo and Kenzi turned towards the door when they heard someone clear their throat.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering if I could have a moment with Bo, alone." Alice asked from her place in the doorway.
Bo blushed lightly as she nodded at Kenzi. She was hoping Alice didn't hear Kenzi's remark about Lauren wetting her panties.
"Sure thing mama hotpants, Bo and I were all finished anyway." Kenzi looked back at Bo, "I'm going to go make sure everything is ready to go, I'll be back up in a few minutes to walk you down."
"Okay, thank you Kenz." Bo smiled as she watched Kenzi walk away.
"You look amazing Bo." Alice complimented as she approached Bo.
"Thank you Alice." Bo beamed as she stood to her feet.
"You and Lauren really are a stunning couple. I just came from her room and she looks every bit as beautiful as you do. I think you too may wet your panties when you see her." Alice winked at a blushing Bo.
"You heard that huh?" Bo said sheepishly. "Sorry about that."
"Don't apologize dear; I'm not uptight about that kind of thing." Alice grinned. "I came up here to check on you, see if you had everything you needed. Do you have your something new, something borrowed something blue?"
"I have the something borrowed and something blue, my mom's deep blue sapphire earrings and pendant. And I guess for my something new my dress will have to do." Bo said as she looked down at her dress.
"Well, then I guess it's a good thing Lauren sent this up with me." Alice handed Bo a rectangular velvet box with a note.
Bo looked at Alice with a soft smile as she unfolded the note and began to read silently.
Bo,
I couldn't let you walk down the aisle without a pre-wedding gift from me. I hope you like it. I love you Ysabeau and in just a few minutes we are going to declare our love and commitment to one another in front of our family and friends. I can't wait, so hurry up and get to that altar so I can marry the love of my life.
-Lauren-
Bo wiped a tear that made its way down her cheek. She placed the note on the bed and opened the velvet box. Inside was a beautiful diamond and deep blue sapphire bracelet that matched her mom's earrings and pendant perfectly.
Bo swallowed the lump in her throat as she looked up at Alice. "I love that woman so much."
"I know you do. Come let me help you put that on." Alice gestured to the bracelet.
Alice gently pulled the jewelry from the box and fastened it onto Bo's wrist. She held Bo's hand for a moment before she looked up into Bo's eyes.
"Bo, I know on a day like today we tend to think of our loved ones that are no longer with us and I know that it can be hard. Lauren is definitely missing her Dad and I can only imagine how much you are missing your parents today. Every young girl that dreams of their wedding day imagines there Dad walking them down the aisle and their mom helping them get ready and giving them one last mother/daughter pep talk before they say I do." Alice took a breath and gave Bo's hand a gentle squeeze. "Sweetheart, in just a few minutes you are going to go out there and marry my daughter. A lot of people would view that as giving their daughter away and perhaps on some levels losing a daughter. But I don't. Today I'm not losing a daughter, I'm gaining one." Alice looked up into Bo's tear filled eyes. "You are my daughter Ysabeau, in every sense of the word. I know I can never replace your parents, but I will be here for you should you ever need a mother or motherly advice."
Bo pulled Alice into an embrace and held her tight as she let tears she had been trying to hold onto finally flow. Bo was so overcome with love and emotion for the motherly figure in front of her. When she lost her parents as a teen, she realized she was no one's little girl anymore, and that devastated her for a long time. Bo never thought she would ever have the title of daughter again, but here was Alice, her mother-in-law calling her, her daughter and that absolutely touched Bo in a way she couldn't quite explain.
"Thank you." Bo whispered as she pulled back from their hug. "You don't how much that means to me." Bo took a deep breath to try and reign in some of her emotions. "For a long time I forgot what it was like to be someone's daughter… I didn't realize how much I missed it until just now."
The women hugged once more before Alice helped Bo dry her tears and touch up her make-up. Thank god for water proof mascara or Bo would have been a complete mess.
"Okay Bobear, we're ready for you." Kenzi said as she reentered the room.
"I'll see you downstairs ladies." Alice smiled at the pair and made her way down.
Kenzi walked over to the mirror and reapplied her lipstick. She fixed a couple of out of place hairs and turned back to see a smiling Bo. "What?" Kenzi asked.
"You look great Kenz. Hale isn't going to be able to keep his hands off of you." Bo wiggled her eyebrows playfully.
"Tell me about it. He already has a hard time controlling himself around all this hotness…" Kenzi waved a hand over her body. "But in this dress, he's going to blow a fuse." Kenzi wore a strapless, sheath/column, sweetheart floor-length bridesmaid dress that was deep, dark, blood red. It was tailor made to fit her body perfectly. It was also one of a kind, since Kenzi designed it herself and had it custom made.
"You ready?" Kenzi asked as she led Bo out of the apartment.
"Definitely!" Bo said excitedly.
They walked together into the Dal through the front entrance. Bo stopped and looked around in awe as she took in the décor of the place. The pool tables were nowhere to be seen. The tables and chairs that usually occupied the space around the bar had all been replaced by chairs that were separated into two sections, creating an aisle that was exquisitely decorated, complete with a velvet red carpet that led all the way up to the altar. The place was decorated like a winter wonderland and was highlighted by deep dark red roses that were strategically placed around the venue. There were candles all around that provided somewhat of dim lighting that made the whole room feel intimate and cozy.
"Wow! You really out did yourself Kenzi. This place looks beautiful; I can hardly tell it's the Dal." Bo admired.
"Well you and the Doc deserve the best and that's what I gave you." Kenzi grinned. "Trick's waiting, let's go get you married."
Soft music began to play as Bo approached the start of the red carpet. Trick met Bo there and offered his arm to her. Regardless if he was officiating, he wasn't going to miss out on walking his granddaughter down the aisle.
"You are a beautiful bride Ysabeau. I'm proud of you and I love you." Trick kissed Bo's cheek and she whispered an "I love you" in return. The guests in attendance rose to their feet as they began walking down the aisle. The photographer snapped several photos as Bo made her way up to the altar. She smiled and nodded at all the familiar faces in the audience. When they arrived at the altar Trick kissed the back of Bo's hand and took his place as did Bo.
Bo took a deep breath as she tried to calm her nerves. Kenzi walked up and took her place behind Bo, placing a supportive hand on her shoulder.
Outside the Dal…
Jake, Alice, and Lauren gathered by the door as they waited for their cue to come in.
"You look so beautiful little sister." Jake said, smiling from ear to ear.
"You don't look so bad yourself in that tux." Lauren replied softly as she straightened out his bow tie. He wore a traditional tux with a dark red bow tie and vest that matched Kenzi's dress.
"I do look good don't I?" He said playfully. Lauren and Alice shook their heads and laughed.
Just then they received their cue. Lauren took a deep breath and interlocked her arms with Jake on one side, and her mom on the other. Alice handed Lauren her bouquet and they made their entrance.
The front doors to the Dal swung open just as Train's "Marry Me" began to play. Lauren locked eyes with Bo and it and felt like the air was sucked out of the room. Both women looked intensely at one another as their smiles began to grow. Bo swallowed hard as she tried to hold back her tears; Lauren tried to do the same, but failed as a tear made its way down her delicate cheek. Once again all their guests began to rise to their feet as Lauren was escorted down the aisle by her Mom and Brother.
Bo was absolutely in awe at the sight before her. Lauren was drop dead gorgeous and Bo's belief that there would never be another, that she would never desire another, was solidified in that moment. She knew early on that Lauren was the one that Lauren was her forever love. Looking as her bride made her way down the aisle, filled Bo with a sense of pride. Bo puffed her chest out a little, and why not? This brilliant, beautiful, and exquisite woman before her was going to be her wife.
Lauren bit her lip as she watched Bo look at her with the perfect balance of love, lust, and pride. No one has ever looked at Lauren in that way. It made her heart flutter in her chest to know that someone as beautiful as Bo was giving her that look. Lauren too was filled with pride as she realized that no matter how many men or women would drool over Bo, she was the one who had her, she is the one who put a ring on it, and Bo was about to become her wife.
Lauren reached the altar and handed her mom her bouquet just before she kissed her on the cheek. Alice gave Lauren one last hug and took her seat in the front row. Jake took his place behind Lauren at the altar and gave Bo a smile and a nod.
"You look stunning." Lauren whispered as she joined hands with Bo.
"I could say the same thing about you." Bo whispered back.
"I'd like to welcome our family and friends to this joyous occasion. We are all here today to witness the union of Ysabeau Dennis and Lauren Lewis. I am honored to be conducting this ceremony today; I couldn't be a prouder grandfather." Trick cleared his throat as he began to get choked up. "I know these two are anxious to get this moving along so let's get to it. The couple has decided to write their own vows, so we'll start with you Bo."
Bo released Lauren's hands and took the piece of paper that her vows were written out from her cleavage, which earned a chuckle from Lauren and a laugh from the crowd.
"Lauren…" Bo paused as she looked into Lauren's eyes. She turned and handed Kenzi her paper. "I'm just going to speak from the heart." She reached out and once again to Lauren's hands into her own. "Lauren, never in a million years did I ever think that I would be getting married. But all that changed the moment I met you. I realized the reason I never wanted to commit or get married was because I had never truly been in love before. You have filled a void in my heart and in my life that I never thought could be filled. You inspire me and you make me want to be a better woman." Bo swallowed hard as her emotions began to rise to the surface. Lauren had tears slowly making their way down her face. "So on this day, in front of our family and friends, I Ysabeau Dennis, take you, Lauren Lewis, to be by wife, my partner in life, my lover, and my one true love. I will treasure you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, and love you unconditionally through whatever life may throw at us. My hand, my heart, and my love are yours now and for all eternity." Bo gently cupped Lauren's cheek, using her thumb to wipe away some of her tears. "I love you." Bo smiled teary eyed.
"And now Lauren." Trick said his voice laced with emotion.
"My Ysabeau, I love you so much." Lauren paused a moment to collect herself. "You are everything I have ever wanted in a partner, a lover…" The guests in attendance chuckled lightly. "…A best friend, and especially a wife. I met you at a time when my life was in turmoil. I was broken in more ways than one. When I arrived here in Toronto all I wanted was to start over. I never anticipated finding a new love, let alone finding the greatest love of my life." Lauren took a deep breath and continued. "You helped me back together, piece by piece… you gave me the strength and encouragement to shed my past, and you have supported and loved me through it all. On this day in front of our family and friends, I Lauren Lewis, take you Ysabeau Dennis, to be my one and only, my best friend, and my wife. I eagerly anticipate the chance to grow together, build a family together, and fall in love with you a little more every day. I promise to love and cherish you through whatever life may bring us. I give to you all of me, from now and throughout eternity."
At this point there wasn't a dry eye in the house. The entire room could feel and see the love and devotion Bo and Lauren had for one another.
"The rings…" Trick motioned to Kenzi and Jake. Kenzi handed Bo the ring and stepped back into her place.
"As a ring has no end, neither shall my love for you. I give this ring to you as a token of my love and devotion to you. I choose you to be my wife this day and forevermore." Bo gently slid the wedding band onto Lauren's finger.
Jake then stepped forward and handed Lauren the ring before resuming his place behind Lauren.
"Because this ring is perfectly symmetrical, it signifies the perfection of true love. As I place it on your finger, I give you all that I am and ever hope to be. I gladly marry you and join my life to yours forevermore." Lauren slid the wedding band onto Bo's finger.
The women could not contain the smiles that grew on their faces as they joined hands.
"By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you wife and wife! You may ki-" Trick couldn't even finish that sentence because Bo had already pulled Lauren in for a passionate kiss. The guests rose to their feet as the entire place erupted into cheers.
The couple kissed for a moment longer before pulling back and resting their foreheads together. They shared the same breath as the smiled widely. They moved in for one more sweet kiss before interlacing their fingers and facing their guests.
"Introducing for the first time, Mrs. And Mrs. Dennis." Trick's voice boomed proudly throughout the Dal.
The couple walked down the aisle to the front door as guests clapped, cheered, and congratulated them on their way out. As they exited the Dal there was a limo waiting for them to take them to go take wedding photos as the rest of the gang set up for the reception.
When they settled into the limo Bo pulled Lauren in for a heated kiss. They only broke the kiss when air became a necessity.
"We did it! We're finally married!" Bo exclaimed. "How does it feel to be Mrs. Dennis?" Bo asked happily.
"It's the greatest feeling in the world babe!" Lauren giggled. "Well, next to you making love to me." Lauren smirked.
"Don't start that, or we won't be making it to our reception." Bo said salaciously.
They broke out into giggles not being able to contain their happiness and really, why would they? They finally found their forever love and they were eager to show the world. They were both happier than they had ever been and they couldn't wait to start this newest chapter of their lives together.
