Chapter 11

After the little story telling Laura started to feel better and more active and not just because the sun had finally gone down, but also because she was finally going to be leaving this prison and be beside Lucian for the rest of her life free to go wherever she wanted to.

Laura was not just staying because she felt like she owed Sonja by staying with Lucian, but because she honestly has feeling for him and not just a friend but...a mate maybe.

No, she couldn't say that because Laura knew that he only had romantic feeling for Sonja and only thought of Laura as a friend...a companion and a sister. She was brought out of her thoughts by all of the lycans hauling away big sacks of whatever they could carry with them out of the castle.

The castle was now bald almost the jewels and gold and anything worth selling was gone and would be used for money and trading to get them where they needed to go. "Lady Laurena Lucian is waiting outside for you. Shaw I got gets your bags for you?" said a deep voice behind her.

Laura turned around and saw Raze behind her. Laura saw he had his bag over his shoulder; he was standing at attention waiting on her command. The lycans and wolves only listened to Lucian and her. Laura smiled and waved him away "It's alright Raze, go outside with Lucian and tell him I'll be right with him."

Laura smiled and walked to her old room that she shared with Sonja. Laura smiled at all of the happy memories she and Sonja had shared. Sonja would fix her up and make her feel pretty, but they would also share secrets with each other. Laura learned how to read and write and speak eloquently because of Sonja. But Sonja's father took her away from Laura and Lucian.

Laura hissed and smashed the bed and grabbed her bags and Sonja's things that she could cell but also keep. A gold bracelet caught her eye it was the one Sonja said was special it had her name and Laura's engraved in it that said sisters for life even in death they would be together. Laura cried tears down her face. She said as she put on the bracelet "I will make them all pay Sonja."

Laura left Sonja's room and saw Sabas was waiting outside and Laura sort of stared at him "I'm sorry Miss Laura; Lucian is just extra protective of you...he already lost Sonja."

Laura nodded and Sabas offered his arm to Laura and she took it. Laura raced down the stairs and they jumped off the cliff that was to the outside of the castle.

All the lycans had their horse loaded up and were on top waiting for Lucian to give them the command to start off on their journey to freedom. Laura let go of Sabas and said "Thanks for waiting."

Laura smiled and quickly kissed Lucian on the check and said "Thanks for waiting Lucian. Sorry I took so long had to get something from mine and Sonja's room."

Lucian smiled and helped Laura on her horse that was tied by a rope to his horse. Laura rolled her eyes at his protectiveness but understood why he was doing this. "Ready to leave my dear Laurena?"

"Yes Lucian let's leave the past behind us and look to a bright future."

As they trudged their horses on and on through the deep forest and through the villages where they traded for money and food, transportation and secret about them being in the villages just in case vampires did survive.

The next month they got on a giant ship that would take them to the new world where they could look for a cure that would turn the lycans into hybrids and wipe out the vampire race. Laura looked out into the deep blue sea with Lucian close to her wrapping his arms around her and nuzzling her neck.

Years Later:

400 years passed. During this time, Lucian and the other werewolves gained better control of their abilities, honed their fighting skills, while Lucian amassed significant resources in both money and arms.

Laura and Lucian had become even closer throughout those years and enjoyed the changing world. But Lucian had never given up his search to help Laura become a lycan like him wanting to help her see the sun again.

Lucian allied with Andreas Tanis, who was exiled because he knew the truth of vampires' and Lycans' origins and what led to their conflicts. Tanis secretly acted as an armoror for Lucian, provided him various prototypes of weapons such as ultra-violet ammunition to aid in the war against the vampires, as both men shared a deep hatred of Viktor. In return Lucian provided Tanis with equipment, resources, women, and first-generation Lycans as guard-dogs.

Lucian had discovered the Corvinus bloodline was still alive. He found a dying scientist named Singe sometime after World War I, and offered him immortality in return for cracking the genetic code of the Corvinus line. Lucian would periodically send out Raze, Pierce, Sabas and Taylor; his oldest and most trusted lieutenants; to capture members of the Corvinus family.

But this time Laura says to Lucian "Let me go out and I will trick the remaining line to come with me by acting like a savior...I am after all not a lycan...please Lucian I will be careful you can't keep me locked up forever."

Lucian smiled at Laura after all these years she is still head strong and won't listen to any man. Lucian leans down and kissed her head and both of her checks "Alright my lovely Laura...but keep Raze and Sabas close to you and watch out for the death dealers they will try to take you away from me."

Hour Later:

Laura had pointed out the men Michael Corvin the last descendent of the corvinus line. The lycans transformed and attacked the humans scattering them. Laura tried to get close to Michael "Hey you want to be saved come with me!"

But he shook his head and ran for it. Laura yelled out to the lycans "Follow him!"

Laura was about to leave down the hole that was there secret passage to her and Lucian hide out when her phone ring and saw that it was Lucian. Laura smiles and reaches down for her phone when she heard guns fired and saw that the death dealers were here.

Sabas that was close to her says "My Lady Laura get down!" and then transforms protecting her.

The death dealers scatter and try to kill the lycans. One woman turned that had short black hair and looked like Sonja and saw the lycan in front of her and fires at him.

Laura screams and grabs Sabas by the fur and runs with him. The woman vamps in front of her and says "Come with me...your safe now."

Laura hisses and says "I'm not safe with death dealers or my own kind."

Sabas growls and attacks but the woman raises her gun and hits him Laura yells out "Run Sabas get Lucian!"

Sabas runs for it. Laura tries to follow but was knocked out by the death dealer woman and carried off the last thing she says was "Lucian..."

Then the world turns dark.

Sorry that it took so long to update I had a lot to think about and the direction that I was heading in next. Thanks for all of the reviews they have really helped me so far.
