Chapter 12

Laura groaned when she woke up and discovered that she was no longer in the company of her lycan brothers and Lucian, because she could sense that vampires were all over wherever she was.

Laura quickly got up but saw that she was chained to the bed and pulled with all her might but couldn't get up worth crap. She whispered "Oh Laurena what have you done, now Lucian is going to expose himself, I can't let that happen."

A woman walks in that sort of reminds her of her and Sonja's old maid and friend Luka, but she could tell it wasn't; they probably were from the same family. But that didn't stop me from tensing up and hissing "What do you want from me! Let me go!"

The woman held up her hand and said "You have nothing to fear from me I'm low on the vampire coven...my names Erika."

Laura thought if it comes to it I can make her get me out and back to Lucian. Erika held out a new set of expensive looking clothes and said "you have blood all over you, please take these," and she set blood bags in front of her, "And this will make you stronger...when you're ready come down...and if you are with the lycans don't think about it and denied it because if you don't you're in the same boat as Selene right now and Kraven will kill you for sure."

With that she left, Laura quickly changed and then noticed under the blood bag there was a key and I smiled and quickly got the chains off and looked out the window and saw she was in the middle of nowhere,sighed and said "Think Laura...think."

Laura decided to search the long hallways, no one seemed to notice her servents and other vampires just nodded at her and went on, 'OK for once I'm glad I'm one of them, seems like the female death dealer didn't tell them about me. Good better to blend in, just like Lucian told me to do.'

In the throne room of sorts I saw of course Kraven who must be in charge right now and that female death dealer and other powerful vampires surrounding them. 'Oh how did he survive what I did to him, please don't remember me maybe my change throughout the ages will save me a little. Oh the female speaks, listen Laura, listen.'

"Please understand Kraven that those lycans are real and are out there we must attack and find where they live...they have new weapons made from daylight that can kill us all...we must find this human, we all saw it and the lycans followed this human, we must find him."

"Selene stop this accusations and do your job and protect this coven what humans do is none of our business."

"But Kraven Listen to me!"

"Other than food why these so called lycans be interested in a human. Now we must be prepared for other events that are coming up. Leave our presence."

Laura left fast and hid in the shadows and saw the door leaving out and was ready to leave when she was slammed into a wall and saw the death dealer Selene "Where are you going...back to the lycans, I think not now you're going to tell me what is going on and maybe I'll let you leave even though you are with your own kind."

Laura hissed at her and bit her arm and saw the memories of some of the events and saw that Victor was alive and in a dormant sleep right now, and how Victor took Selene under his wing...because she looked like Sonja. How her family was 'attacked by lycans'.

Laura let go and saw that she did favor a little Sonja but was nothing like her at all. "I have nothing to say, those lycans took me in and protected me and I will never betray Luc..." she quickly covered her mouth about that.

Selene looked at her and said "What was that...sorry where my manners my names Selene and you are?"

Laura gave a fake name "Nadia, and as for the lycans they always are after humans...now may I go I have to get to my home before sun rise."

Selena quickly knocked her to the floor and dragged her back to the holding room, Laura needed more blood to get her full fighting mode back like Lucian taught her too. "You're staying her another day till I find more information and you talk more that was no normal human lycans don't track down one mortal like that and vampires don't befriend them," said Selene then slammed the door locking it.

Laura hisses and bangs against the door "This is why I don't like my own kind I hope the lycans destroy your kind!"

Laura didn't hear an answer and looked out the window and saw Selena leaving the coven mansion. Laura jumped on the bed and closed her eyes. Then the visions; that she's had since Sonja's death, started again.

She was back to her home surrounded with her lycan brothers and Lucian oh how she missed his warmth and comfort he brought her. They were in the room with their local scientist Singe, he was testing the blood samples from the Corvinus line and nodded to Lucian "This is a 99% match, this is your guy."

Lucian nodded "Good then we need to capture him this time...but first," he turned to Raze and Sabas and the other lycans that were sent out, "Does anyone want to tell me how the death dealers got their hands on Laurena!"

They cowered back from their alpha. Raze spoke up, Laura smiled at brave Raze "Lucian we had no idea that she was that far behind us. I had her close to me and she was talking the Corvinus man and then they attacked."

Sabas stepped forward he was still healing very slow that made Laura even more mad "There was a female death dealer who stayed behind snuck up and attacked me Laura," he looked down from Lucian gaze, "She protected me and stood in front , the woman saw her and asked for her to come along. Laura stood up for us saying that she would never be one of them. And then they knocked her out, and Laura told us all the run. I tried to follow but the new silver they had was too much."

Lucian eyes flashed gold and he hit a wall and Laura grabbed his hand but he couldn't see or feel her she whispered anyway "Stay calm my Lucian...I'll find you and then you can tell me all you plan to do. Stay strong my love."

Lucian turned to all the lycans gathered around "We find this Corvinus and we capture him...we do this for Laurena and we will find her...if I have to kill every single one of those vampires I will find her again," he touched the pendent around his neck, "I will find you my Laurena I swear."

With that Laura woke up gasping for breath and said "I know you will Lucian I know you will my love."

Laura grabbed the remaining blood bag and drank it all down she needed all that she could to get out. The door slammed open and in came Selene leaning against the door and said "So you want to tell me why the lycans are looking for Michael Corvin?"
