Chapter 18

Laura was passing the floor and Sabas was trying to comfort her "My Lady, you must calm down this cannot be good for you...Lucian knows what he is doing he is a strong lycan...he will survive and protect us all."

Laura sighed and took a deep breath "I just have a feeling that something bad is going to happen...I need to be out there," Sabas started to protest but Laura interrupted him by saying, "Don't argue with me Sabas, I see the look in your eyes that says you rather be out there fighting...go fight I can defend myself I did learn from the best."

Sabas was torn but then there was a crash and an explosion in the hall, Sabas growled when he heard the lycans cries. Laura grabbed his arm and looked in his golden eyes "They need our help...don't argue with this."

Sabas heard the shots of silver bullets and other harmful devices to the lycans and nodded "Stay close to me and only fight when needed."

Laura smirked and grabbed her gun and bullets of light and bombs "Of course my dear friend."

Laura knew that as soon as the vampires got attacked by Sabas and the others she would run and go find Lucian. In the halls Laura saw that the death dealers had Raze down and where going to shove silver into his heart which made Laura scream and jump on top of the vampires and bite their throats out then fire sunlight bullets into them that made them explode "Never touch my pack or friends again."

Raze nuzzle against Laura's hand and bowed his head "Your welcome my friend, now where is Lucian."

Raze howled and lycans came forward and lead her down the hallway to the scientist lab. Laura walked in and saw that death dealers and normal vampires where dead all over and the lycans where to. Laura put a hand over her mouth to cover her shock and sadness; she screamed out for Lucian "Lucian!"

One of the lycans gasped out "Lady Laurena...Lucian fled the lab when that female death dealer came with her army and Viktor..."

Laura eyes flashed and her fangs where out. She knelt by the lycan and shushed him "You're a brave warrior and your fight is over...rest and find peace and freedom," the lycan smiled at her and shut his eyes "Peace my brother."

Laura grabbed a sword and more bullets. Raze limped to her "My lady you must get away they meen to kill us all...Lucian wouldn't want this."

There was a gasp from the dying vampires around her and Laura shot them all and put a sword through them "I promised to protect Lucian and he me...I won't do that," all the remaining lycans gathered around her, "You swore to protect and get your freedom, will you stand with me one more time."

The lycans transformed and bowed to her and howled in union. Laura ran through the halls and the lycans killed all the death dealers in sight; one snuck up behind her and she grabbed him by the throat and ripped out his throat. One survived and he said "The lycan with the Corvinus is at the end of the tunnel...you better hurry Viktor means to kill...I tell you this because I know I won't survive."

One lycan smirked and was about to attack by Laura smirked "Stop brother...he will be branded as a traitor."

Laura raced and found her love being stabbed by Kraven, she shouted and was about to shoot him and stab him; when the death dealer Selene came up from behind and stabbed him along with Lucian.

Laura rushed to Lucian and pulled him close putting pressure on the stab wound "Hush my love...I will find you away to get you help...don't leave me."

Lucian smiled and said "Never my lovely Laurena...I promised to find you a cure to make you a hybrid and I will."

Laura and Lucian stopped their conversation when Selene was calling Kraven a traitor.

Kraven gasped out from his wound and said "Let me tell you a little something about your beloved dark father. He's the one that killed your family. Not the Lycans. He never could follow his own rules. Said he couldn't abide the taste of lifestock. So, every once in a while, he'd go out and gorge himself on human blood. I kept the secrets, and cleaned up the mess. But he's the one who crept room to room that night, dispatching everyone close to your heart. But when he got to you, he just couldn't bear the thought of draining you dry. You, who reminded him so much of his precious Sonja, the daughter he condemned to death.

Selene took a step back into Michael and said in a whisper "Lies. "

Lucian gasped out to Selene who was tending to Michael stab wound "Bite Michael and you can transfer the vampire disease to him...make him a hybrid."

Selene glared at him but saw the trusting look on Laura's face and slowly bites Michael; he gives a twitch but you could see that he was healing and becoming the first hybrid.

Laura saw Kraven come up and stab Lucian again before she could stop him and fled; but he stopped to hear Laura say "You can run all your life but I will find you and kill you for what you did to my Lucian...watch your back vampire!"

Lucian was gasping out "I love you my Lady Laurena..."

Selene walked over to Laura and put a hand on her but she moved back "Don't touch me your kind has done enough..."

Michael said "Selene give him my blood...see if it helps."

Selene quickly grabbed Michael's arm and bit into it and Laura held open Lucian's mouth; the blood slipped in and he sipped it slowly. Laura smiled "Don't die my love this will help you."

Lucian slowly blinked and Laura could see the hybrid features "Never going to leave you Laurena."

Michael took his arm back and turned to Laura "See if this will help also."

Laura was about to when they heard a vampire's voice "Well isn't this touching...all the traitors in one room."

Laura and Selene turned around and saw Viktor.

Sorry that this took so long I had a lot to think about; but here it is Chapter 18 of Just the Beginning of the War.
