Chapter 19

Lucian turned towards Victor and shielded Laura from him, but Victor hissed out and said "Laurena you're the most traitor of them all, we gave you a better life, to become our equal and you threw it out the window."

Lucian growled out "She was never going to be equals with your race...she would have been low like the rest of us lycans."

"You're out of place dog and you're going to die...now."

Death dealers began to rush into the lab and hold both Lucian and Laura hostage and raised a silver sword to their throats. Selene saw and heard Laura's scream "Kill me! Just let Lucian and the other lycans go!"

Lucian yelled out "No Laura!"

Selene Stepped into this wanting to save Laura and yelled at Victor "It wasn't the Lycans. It was you. How could you bear my trust knowing that you killed my family? "

Viktor sneered out not looking at all sorry "Yes, I have taken from you but I have given so much more. Is it not a fair trade for life I have granted you? The gift of immortality?"

Laura couldn't take it no more "You're a monster to take away her life and family."

"No we're not the monsters the monsters are the ones that you're throwing your lots in with."

Selene whispered out trying to remain calm "And the life of your daughter? Your own flesh and blood?"

Viktor sighed out still having that hatred look in his eyes "I loved my daughter. But the abomination growing in her womb was a betrayal of me and the coven. I did what was necessary to protect the species. As I am forced to do yet again."

With that Victor held a weapons that could kill vampires up to Laura "You could have been greater then you are now...been above the beast and humans but now I must end you my dear...there must be order and you're disrupting it."

The other death dealers raised a weapons also to Lucian and Laura gave a cry as Victor stab her once...trying to go in again but Selene knocked the weapons away from Victor "I can't allow you to do this...the war has already began and I will end it."

There was a hiss and a growl and the new hybrid Michael came up and ripped open Victor's throat and his stomach and Selene stabbed him for good measure "Stop your talking...this is for my family," said Selene with no emotion in her voice.

The other death dealers fled the scene not wanting to die dropping Lucian who growled out showing his hybrid side now rushing to Laura "Laura my love please you have to be alright..."

Michael cut his wrist and said to Lucian "Open her mouth we need to get the blood in now."

Lucian did as he said and blood seeped in and Laura drank it "That's it my love...please drink it all."

Selene grabbed all of her weapons "We need to get out of her...Lucian gather all of the lycans up...and get them to a safe house, you're going to have to hide," Selene turned to Laura who was showing signs of healing and becoming a hybrid "We'll be in touch with you, you can help us out since we helped you out."

Laura nodded her head lying on Lucian's head "Yes of course Selene whatever you need."

Selene grabbed Michaels hand and rushed away as the lycans made their way to their leaders. Laura stood up "We need to leave Lucian now before death dealers come and we aren't at our full strengths and we are outnumbered."

Lucian kissed her and helped pick her up "Of course my love," Lucian turned to Sabas and Raze, "Get all the lycans ready to leave with their belongings."

Sabas and Raze nodded, Laura rubbed her head against Lucians "We're going to be OK my love...have a little faith. The others will become hybrids like us and we will stop the other vampires."

Lucian nodded as he sat Laura down "I know lovely Laurena and we will do this together and what's left of the pack...and you can finally see the sun."

Laura nodded and they walked together out the door not knowing the danger that is ahead. As Laura saw the sun first time in forever by her mate and her brothers she felt a relief.

Though Laura couldn't predict the future she saw through the ghost of Sonja and the fallen who came to her in her dreams at what was to happen. The consequences of this night will reverberate through the halls of both great covens for many years to come and of the lycans alike. Two vampire elders have been slain by Laura and Lucian, Selene and Michael also. Soon, Marcus will take the throne and Laura shuddered in her bed beside her mate Lucian at that thought, and a tide of anger and retribution will spill out into the night. Differences will be set aside. Allegiances will be made. And soon, Laura and Selene will become the hunted and their mates also.

But for now Laura smiled at Lucian and her pack that would change the world along with some unexpected allies.
