Chapter 20

Years have passed since that faithful night in the tunnals between the fight of the lycans and the vampires over the creation of hybrids. Selene and Michael had separated from Lucian and Laura along the road to try to stop one of the vampires from awaking and killing the elder vampire Marcus. Laura wanted to help them out but Selene put a hand on her shoulder and said "You need to get away from our lives and start up a new pack and continue on with your life...we will only call you in desperate situations."

Laura sighed and pulled Selene into a hug she tensed up a little not used to this kind of contact but slowly became less tense "Call any time you want I will drop whatever I am doing to help you out a owe you and Michael my life for saving my Lucian."

Selene ran to the car her and Michael stole and drove away. Since that night Lucian had set up a new sight with lots of land for all of the lycans to live far into the woods where no one could find them. But Laura still had that feeling in the back of her mind about something bad happening and pretty soon.

As she and Lucian laid in their bed that night holding each other real tight, Lucian had been wrapping his arms around her every night since she almost died, Laura heard a voice whisper in her ear almost sounded like Sonja "Laurena I'm sorry but your going to have to help us out again...the vampires are rising trouble again...and I fear for the future of all of us."

Laura lifted her head and whispered "Sonja please tell me what you need and show me."

With that Laura was knocked out and once again back to the vampires old hide out and saw one of the vampires scribes and an awakening vampire elder by the name of Marcus. Laura gasped out and backed away whispering "No...no, it can't be coming true. Please Sonja tell me this is not the future."

But Sonja just whispered as if beside her "Just listen my Laura and help out your new alliance."

The vampire gasped out when being pinned to the wall "Marcus?"

Marcus turned to Singes body not really paying attention to the scribe "The blood memories of this wretched creature... "

He quickly kicked the body into a deep hole sneering and hissing at it."Has shown me that your treachery knows no bounds. "

The vampire tried to back out of this "My lord, I can explain..."

Laura snorted at that "You can never reason with vampire especially one of the elders."

Marcus put his clawed fingers up to his throat digging into it with more force causing it to bleed deeply " Why would I listen to your lies when the journey to the truth... is so much sweeter?"

Marcus then bites into his neck, and see's visions of all of the traitorous things that are going inside of the vampire coven, Laura was able to see this with Sonja's help.

The vampire made one last request in hope of saving himself "Please. I can assist you."

Marcus only smiles at this causing Laura to back away pleading for Sonja to get her out of this memory and vision "Oh, you already have."

Marcus then pulls his talons free of the vampires bleeding neck and then swipes the vampires head off and smirks and fly's away. Laura vision slowly fades away with Sonja's voice saying "I'm sorry for what you now have to go through but your needed you and Lucian. Good luck my old friend."

Laura gasped up awake which caused Lucian to wake up also un-wrapping his arms from Laura and growling hand hissing out "What is it Laurena my love."

Laura hushed him "Nothing my Lucian it is just a dream...but I do believe it is time for us to go find Selene and Michael and help them out."

Lucian stood up helping Laura too "Did you have another..."

Laura nodded and said "Love this is going to be bad and they need our assistance."

At the Safe House

Lucian pulled the car aside and ran to the other side to help Laura out, as they walked up to the door it burst open and out came Selene and Michael. Laura saw the look and said "We came to late...this dreams are never at the right moment."

Selene said "We need to leave; I don't know how you found us but you're here now and you can help."

Laura was about to say something when they heard a hiss and wings and Laura knew who it was also Selene "Marcus!"

Laura grabbed Lucians hand and ran with Selene and Michael into their truck. Lucian and Michael got in the back with Selene and Laura in the truck. Laura said "I'm sorry I didn't help sooner I just now knew you needed assistance."

"That's alright we were not going to involve you, you and Lucian have suffered enough from our kind."

The bat creature jumped on top of the truck and swiped the glass breaking the glass and choking the life out of Selene. Laura hissed baring her lycan teeth and vampire teeth but also claws of a lycan "Let her go!"

But before she could do anything Lucian and Michael sprang into action and threw him off of the car and stabbed him. Selene was stunned but Laura yelled out "Go! Before he wakes up, he is only stunned!"

Selene got the message and drove away, Laura yelled out "Where are you taking us!"

"To a safe house, you and Lucian can stay in one of the rooms and me and Michael in the other, we owe you that much."

Lucian looked at Laura and grabbed her hand through the back window kissing it and holding it tight as if she was going to disappear at any moment.

Thank you for all the reviews and help with the direction of the story and how it is going. Sorry that it has been so long since I have updated I had a lot to think about and the direction that I'm heading in.
