Chapter 24

Laura had been resting her eyes trying to get the flashes out of her head of how Marcus is finding the location of his brother William and how people who were guarding the location are either dead or going to get bit and turned.

Laura jumped awake when Lucian put a hand on her shoulder "What's going on, have we arrived yet?"

Selene looked over to Laura and answered "Corvinus gave us last minute help and gave us armed gun men and fighters who want to see this mission stopped...they offered us a helicopter."

Laura sighed and looked at the people outside "Guess it's help all the same...but I have a feeling that..."she stopped not wanting to mention the visions she had been getting, "Never mind...let's get this over with."

Lucian helped Laura out, Michael who was still badly injured has sort of passed out, and Laura could see Selene's worried face but her emotions were masked up. Laura said "I'll watch over him, do whatever needs to be done and get the job finished...you're the one who knows the location not me," Laura looked at Lucian "I know your feelings towards this family and you've been only helping because of me but help Selene out...I'll be fine."

Selene was about to protest as the helicopter took off but Laura cut her off "Selene he is a lycan and another hybrid...he can protect you...not that you need any, you're a strong ex-death dealer."

Selene nodded and went up front to give direction. Lucian wrapped his arms around Laura and pulled her into a kiss "Laurena, if anything happens to me down their I want you to know that I love you with all of my heart, and don't go down their...I want you to stay safe, and lead our pack to victory..."

Laura stopped him "Shhh my love nothing is going to happen to us, and you know you can't stop me from protecting you we are mates and mates protect one another. Now I know you want to know about the visions...I've had them since I was really young, they stopped after I was taken by Victor, my family was scared I would be accused of witch craft so I stopped for them...they became more strong when I was turned...there the reasons I have know all sort of things...plus I've been seeing Sonja and she's been helping me," Lucian opened his mouth at that part," she's happy we are together. So that's why I know all the plans about Victor and now Marcus...I'm sorry I didn't tell you my love."

Lucian pulled her close "I understand Laurena, you would have told me in time...but no more secrets."

Laura smiled and snuggled into him when the helicopter jerked. Selene said "Down there, it's now underwater."

Selene opened the helicopter doors and turned to Lucian "If you're coming we need to go now...Marcus is ahead of us."

Selene took one more look at Michael and then jumped, there was a slash below signaling that she made it, Lucian kissed me one more time and jumped also. Laura whispered "Be safe my love."

Some of the cleaners who worked for Corvinus jumped also following Selene. Laura sat beside Michael and sighed "Just you and me now, this will work out in the end. I hope you know how Selene feels about you, she just has trouble showing her emotions...Victor didn't like his death dealers showing emotions they were meant to be warriors...but you bring something out in her, just like Lucian brings something out in me. Because of Lucian I am safe and free, he and Sonja was my saving grace."

Laura saw Michael twitch at little, she smiled he will be alright. Laura gasped and got flashes of the battle. She was correct Marcus had got their first and had freed William and he was out of control, but wouldn't hurt Marcus because they were related. William had bitten most of the cleanup crew and turned them; so it was up to Lucian and Selene.

Laura gasped out in pain, Lucian had been hurt and the cry woke up Michael who had just regenerated and was now ready for a fight. He didn't seem to notice Laura and jumped out of the helicopter; the pilot and the rest who was left tried to stop Laura, she just shook them off and went to help her mate and Selene.

Laura swam through the water, she knew the path through the eyes and visions of others, and for once she saw this curse she had as a gift. Laura gasped for breath when she got through the cave to the top. She had to duck as Michael was in battle with William, Laura was about to help out but Michael as the first hybrid was stronger than a lycan; even though he was much older and stronger than him. William had his jaw ripped off and head and was killed.

Laura smiled and said "Very excelent job Michael."

Michael hissed and growled at her; but Laura put her hand up "Easy Michael, I'm here to help you we are not enemies...go help Selene."

Michal seemed to understand and speed off to Selene who was in battle with Marcus. Laura had to move away as the helicopter crashed in front of her killing the pilot and the remaining passengers.

Laura heard a growl and saw Lucian was in battle trying to get the new lycans in control. Laura saw that even though Lucian was an alpha that he needed help raining in control, or these lycans would have to be put down.

Laura jumped in and took down two of them why Lucian took down the other two of them. But in the end they couldn't stand to be dominated by the alphas so they had to be put down.

Laura sighed when Lucain was about to tell her off by putting herself in a path of danger "I know what you're about to say but I felt you needed my help and if I didn't jump out there would be more damage then what I already have on me."

Lucian was about to say something but he stopped seeing the helicopter and the dead inside and sighed and just pulled Laura into a hug and kiss "I know Laurena, you will always be there by my side to protect me...now let's go help the ex death dealer and her hybrid mate."

Laura saw that Selene was in combat battle with Marcus, and that she had the upper hand for a moment but Michael had to jump in but Marcus knocked him down and was about to kill him.

Selene with the help of the extra powers that Corvinus had given her kicked Marcus into the rotor blades killing him on the impact. Selene saw that Michael was alright but he was looking up at the sunlight that streamed through the hole in the ceiling.

Laura was about to yell for Selene to move; but saw that Selene had stopped her. She looked up at the sunlight for the first time in years and smiled. Michael moved in and held Selene and they both got pulled into a kiss.

Laura sighed and smiled "She's different now, there has never been a vampire that could stand sunlight...we all don't fit in Lucian; but it works for all of us."

Lucian laughed "Well we fit in more than Michael and Selene for sure, so now that this is over we can return to our pack."

Laura sighed and smiled "Sure, but I don't think that we will anytime be done with Selene and her new mate. They are part of our lives now...we outcast need to stick together as the new saying goes I do believe."

An unknown chapter lies ahead. The lines that had divided the Clans have now been blurred. Chaos and infighting are inevitable. All that is certain is that Darkness is still ahead. But for now Laura takes Lucian hand and they move towards the sunlight beside Selene and Michael and they all stare at the sunlight for the first time in forever it seems like.

Sorry that it has been so long since I have updated I've had a lot to do with me starting college and all but I will update as fast as I can.
