Momma and Daddy

I was woken once again by my wife running into the bathroom. I quickly followed her holding her hair out of her face and rubbing soothing circles on her back.

"It's okay baby."

I waited until she had finished throwing up, when I went into the kitchen, where Eliza and Olly sat eating some cereal.

"Morning guys."

"Morning Edward. What's up?"

"Bella just needs some chocolate. We'll be in for breakfast in a few minutes then we'll get going."

"Okay."

I grabbed another block of chocolate and went back into Bella.

"Here baby, eat this."

"Thanks Edward. What would I do without you?"

"Well you wouldn't be sitting on the floor of the bathroom if it wasn't for me."

"You know what I mean."

"I know. When you're ready, we need to get dressed and ready for the day. Eliza and Olly are eating breakfast."

"Okay honey. Let's go."

I lifted her off the floor, pulling her to my chest. We both ran round, washing and cleaning and dressing. We walked into the kitchen where Eliza and Olly were finishing off their breakfast.

"Morning Eliza, morning Olly."

"Morning Bella."

She kneeled down in front of Olly and started talking to him whilst I put our breakfast together. I places Bella's bowl on the table and poured some orange juice for the both of us.

"Eliza do you want some orange juice?"

"Yes please Edward."

"Here you go."

"Thanks."

I handed her a glass and turned to Olly.

"Hey there Olly, do you want some orange juice?"

"Yes please Edward. Thank you."

"No problem Olly."

I handed him a glass and messed his hair. I sat down next to Bella and wrapped one arm around her waist. When breakfast was finished I washed the dishes quickly whilst the others got Olly ready. Our shoes on, we left the apartment, heading for the car.

"You ready for your next adventure Olly?"

"Yeah. Where are we going?"

"How about we go and see my old house? There are lots of books and DVDs that you can look at and choose some to take with you. How does that sound?"

"But only good boys get books and DVDs."

"Olly look at me."

Bella kneeled down to Olly again and looked him in the eyes.

"You are a good boy Olly. The best I know. Don't ever think you aren't a good boy because you are. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

His eyes had filled with tears and he flung his arms around Bella's neck. I faintly heard him mumble.

"Thank you momma."

"I'm not your momma, Olly."

"You don't want me?"

"No, that's not why. I love you. It's just that I can't be. You already have a momma."

"Where is my momma then?"

"She's just busy. That's why you and Eliza are on an adventure; so that she can have some time to sort everything out."

"Can you be my momma for now?"

"If you want Olly."

"Thank you momma."

She hugged him to her and pulled back, picking him up and buckling him into the seat. I wrapped an arm around her and pulled her to me.

"You are amazing baby. I love you."

"I love you too honey."

I pecked her on the lips before opening the car door for her. We all climbed into the car and set off for Charlie's.

Once there I hopped out of the car and opened Bella's door whilst Eliza got Olly.

"You alright Eliza?"

"Yeah. Let's just get this done."

"You don't have to tell him anything you don't want to. Just write it down and he'll read it later when no one's around."

"Thanks Edward."

After rapping on the door, I stepped back, taking Bella into my arms.

"Good morning Bells, Edward. Come in."

We made our way into the house but Eliza looked like she might turn and run. I held her arms and gently pulled her into the house.

"Calm down Eliza. You are safe here."

"Thanks."

I led her into the living room and sat her down next to Bella.

"Bella, can you take this? I'll take Olly into your old room."

"Of course. Thanks honey."

"No problem."

I gave her a quick kiss and took Olly into my arms.

"Come on Olly. Let's go explore."

He took my hand and ran up the stairs.

"This is Bella's old room when she was Eliza's age. Do you want to see?"

He nodded his head, smiling widely. I swung the door open revealing Bella's room. It hadn't changed very much since I was last in here ten years ago, except there wasn't any random bits and bobs lying around. Olly let go of my hand and ran over to the bookshelf in the corner.

"Daddy will you read me this book please?"

I stared at him. Kneeling down to him, I looked into his enthusiastic eyes.

"Olly, you know I'm not your daddy?"

"I know, but you can be, like Bella can be my momma."

"Why would you want me to be your daddy?"

"Because Bella's my momma and the daddy is always the one who loves the momma. You and momma do love each other right?"

"Yes Olly. We love each other very much."

"So you can be my daddy."

"I'll be your daddy."

He threw his arms around my neck almost knocking me over.

"Now how about that book?"

"Thank you daddy."

I picked him up and sat him in my lap on the bed. I opened the book and started reading.

When I finished the book Olly wrapped his short arms around my neck again.

"Thank you daddy."

"No problem Olly. Do you want to find some DVDs and books to take back with us?"

"Yeah."

He ran round the room picking up books, DVDs and CDs he liked the look of. He dumped a whole pile on my lap and ran off, trying to find some more.

"Olly, I'm just going to see if Bella's done. Stay here."

"Okay."

I climbed from the bed and put all the things in the rucksack I brought, before going back into the living room. Bella was sat on the couch with Eliza and Charlie sat across from them with a notepad.

"Is there anything else that I need to know? Anything you can tell me that will help?"

"No, that's about it."

"Okay. Thank you Eliza. I'll get started with this straight away. Don't worry about Casper. There's a police convention all next week in Seattle. I get to send three officers to it. I'll make sure he's one of them and then I can look into this a lot more."

"Thank you Chief Swan. Your help means so much to me."

"Call me Charlie, Eliza. It's nothing; it's my job to protect this town from people like him. I just never expected it. As long as you stay somewhere safe in the meantime everything will be alright."

I sat down next to Bella and Eliza, holding each of their hands.

"You must understand that when this is over, your brother will have to go to a foster home. Whereas you are of age and are legally old enough to have your own place, Olly cannot stay with you. A foster family will be found for him to go to. I know it will be hard for you, but we have to do what is best for Olly. You will still get to see him every now and then."

"I understand Charlie. I only want what's best for Olly. If it means sending him to another family then I'll let him go."

"You don't want me?"

Everyone looked up to see a teary eyed Olly standing in the doorway. Before anyone could say anything Olly ran back up the stairs.

"Olly."

Eliza jumped up from the couch and ran after him. Bella and I went after them. Eliza was on her knees her head against the door to Bella's old room.

"Olly please come out. I didn't mean it like that. Please Olly, let me explain."

"No. You are going to send me away like dad used to say he'd do. I knew I was a bad boy. I don't want you to send me away. Please let me stay."

"Let me explain Olly. Please. I love you, you're my brother. Please come out."

"No."

"Please."

He didn't reply.

"Olly, can you come out for me please. There is something really important to talk to you about."

There was silence.

"Olly, Olly are you okay? Please. You're scaring me."

"Go away Eliza. You said you were going to send me away. If you don't want me, then why are you my sister?"

"I love you Olly. We've been best friends for years. I'm sorry, but please come out."

"No."

"Eliza, why don't you go and sit downstairs with Bella? I'll try and talk to him. Don't worry. He'll come out soon."

"Thank you Edward."

Bella led Eliza down the stairs as I kneeled at the door. I softly knocked on the door.

"Olly can you let me in? It's just me. Eliza and Bella are waiting downstairs."

The door clicked unlock. I pushed it open and saw Olly sitting in the far corner of the room.

"Come here Olly."

I picked him up and sat him on my lap. I noticed he was crying into my shoulder.

"Hey Olly. It's okay. No one's sending you away."

"But Eliza doesn't want me."

"She wants you so much Olly. She loves you more than anything in the world. That's why we are here. Your mom and stepdad can't look after you anymore. Your sister brought you on this adventure so she can find you a new mom. Someone who will look after you and give you lots hugs and kisses."

"Why can't you and Bella be my mom and dad?"

"Because life doesn't always work like that. We can be your mom and dad until Eliza finds you some new parents. No one wants to get rid of you. If she could Eliza would take you with her but she isn't old enough. She loves very much."

"Why can't we go back to the way things where before?"

"Your stepdad isn't able to look after you. It wouldn't be safe for you to stay there anymore and all we want to do is make sure you are safe so you can grow up healthy and strong. No one is getting rid of you."

"But I won't see Eliza or you or Bella every day."

"I know Olly. It will be hard at first but you will have a new family and you'll get to see us some of the time."

"I'll miss you daddy."

"And I'll miss you too. I've learnt that there are some things in life that you don't want to happen but you need to be brave and carry on until you are happy again. Did you know I lost my mom and dad when I was three?"

"No."

"My parents couldn't look after me so I was taken somewhere I could be looked after. Then one day a nice couple came along and took me home. I grew up with them and they loved me like their own. It wasn't until last year I met my real mom and dad again. I understand why I couldn't be with them and I'm actually glad I had different parents. It meant there were more people who loved me and wanted me to do well in life. That's all Eliza wants for you."

"So you and Bella will always be my mom and dad?"

"If you want then we will."

"I'll always want you to be my daddy. I love you."

"I love you too Olly. Shall we go downstairs to Eliza and Bella?"

"Okay. Thank you daddy."

"It's okay Olly. Let's go."

I stood up holding him in my arms. I gathered the rest of the things he put on the bed and swung the bag on my shoulder. Descending the stairs I heard Eliza crying. When we stood in the living room doorway, I placed Olly on the floor and he ran over to Eliza, jumping into her lap.

"I'm sorry Eliza. I love you."

"I love you so much Olly. I don't want to send you away. If I could I'd take you with me but I can't. I just can't Olly. I'm so sorry."

"I know Eliza. You'll always be my sister. I love you."

"I love you too Olly, so, so much."

They held onto each other as I wrapped my arms around Bella's waist. She leaned into me and turned her face to mine. She pecked me on the lips and I nuzzled her neck.

"Where's Charlie?"

I breathed into her ear.

"He's gone to the station."

"I'll get the lunch started soon."

"Okay."

I started kissing and sucking her neck. She bit her bottom lip to stop a moan escaping her lips. I just kissed her harder.

"Stop Edward."

I didn't listen to her. She was too tempting.

"Please stop Edward."

I eased up on my kisses until I was just leaning into her neck.

"I love you baby."

"I love you too."

"We'll finish this later."

"I'll be waiting."

I smiled into her neck. I kissed her neck on more time before standing up and going into the kitchen. I pulled out some bacon and rolls out and started frying the bacon up. As the bacon was cooking Eliza came into the kitchen and gave me a hug.

"Thank you Edward."

"It's okay Eliza."

"You've done so much for us. Thank you."

"You are an amazing girl Eliza. You deserve better."

"I don't deserve anything."

"You do. Bella and I will make sure you get what you deserve."

"Thank you dad."

My heart swelled as she called me dad. I hugged her to me before turning to the bacon.

"Can you want to get some glasses out, there's a range of drinks in the fridge?"

"Sure."

When I had put all the bacon into four different rolls, I put the plates round the table and called the others in. We went back to our apartment soon after and spent the rest of the day watching movies Olly had picked before getting a pizza take away. Bella read Olly another story as she put him to bed and Eliza did some more homework. We left Eliza for the night and went into our own room.

I had a quick shower and threw on an old shirt and pyjama pants. I walked into our room to see Bella standing by a picture of her and her parents when she was five.

"Do you think there's a reason Eliza and Olly came to us?"

Walking up to her, I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her hair to one side.

"What do you mean?"

I lowered my lips to her neck kissing and sucking the tender flesh. She moaned quietly as I sucked a sensitive part.

"I mean, Eliza is a smart girl. She wouldn't have run away unless she had somewhere for them to stay, but she could have found anywhere. Even if it meant going to the police somewhere else. What I want to know is why did she come to her teachers? There are other places she could have gone."

"I see what you mean love."

I continued kissing and sucking her neck, rubbing circles on her stomach and hip.

"Don't worry about it now baby. Let's just be glad she did come to us. We can help her and her brother."

I pulled her back into me. Her head fell on my shoulder as I walked us to the bed. I lay her down and hovered over her.

"Bella. I've never met anyone like you before. You are the kindest, most loving being I've ever seen. I'm honoured to call you my wife. I love you baby."

"I love you too Edward. So much."

I caught her lips up in a passionate kiss. We spent the night showing each other how much we loved before falling asleep in each other's arms.
