Chapter 29: The Hypnosis

Paige's Pov-
It had gone one week since I lost against A, the lost had shocked me now I knew I had to be even better than ever when I'll fight A. Mr. Fitz was still in a coma so I still had no idea of who A is.
I was with Emily, Caleb and Spencer in the hospital to see Aria, she had been at Mr. Fitz side almost every day.
We entered his room and saw her sitting by Mr. Fitz's side holding his hand in both of hers.
"Hi Aria, how are you holding up?" Emily said and gave Aria a hug.
"I'm fine you guys I just wish that I would get a sign that Ezra will wake up someday soon." Aria said.
"Maybe that day will come faster than you might think." Caleb said and nodded to the bed. Mr. Fitz had just started to twitch and he was about to wake up.
He wakes up gasping it looks like he doesn't know where he is.
He keeps staring around and when he sees Aria he looks very confused.
"Mr. Fitz what's wrong?" Spencer asked once Mr. Fitz seemed to calm down.
"Catwoman have kidnapped some of the girls from school and I have to save them, but now I think I was too late." Ezra answered.
"That was almost a full month ago." Caleb whispered to me.
"What's the last thing you can remember?" Spencer asked again.
"I was about to enter the sewers to save them from Catwoman the rest is just blurry." Mr. Fitz answered.
This is not good, if Ezra didn't remember anything after that, I had to make him remember who A was.
I was about to tell him to try to remember more but the hospital staff arrived and said that they have to take care of Mr. Fitz from now and that he'll be ready for visitors tomorrow.
Emily helped Aria to walk out of the building and I turned to Spencer and Caleb.
"What are we going to do now, he doesn't remember who A is?" I asked frustrated.
"I don't know, when people forget to something there is a chance that they'll never remember those things again." Spencer said "And if he tries too hard to remember there is a chance that he'll forget everything." Spencer continued.
"Well there must be something we can do to jog his memory without risking him to forget anything?" Caleb asked and we both turned to Spencer.
"Ok, I'll figure something out just give me some time. I'll call both off you when I have a solution that will work" Spencer said.
We walked out of the hospital and said our goodbyes, Spencer and Caleb went to their places and Emily took Aria home so I went back to my mansion and started a training program to prepare for my next fight against A, now I had to be better than ever, I couldn't lose again it was too much on the line for that.
I kept training for hours so I forgot the time I was just scared if I would lost to A again.
The thoughts of losing to A was scaring and it made me lose focus and I got hit by the dolls several times.
Once I stopped training I saw that it was late in the evening. I went to the shower and after that training the warm water from the shower was really relaxing. Once I was done showering I stepped out and dried myself then I heard the phone ringing so I grabbed my robe and put it on.
"Yeah it's Paige." I answered the phone.
"Hi, its Spencer I've figured out a way to make Mr. Fitz remember who A is." I heard over the phone.
"We hypnotizes him so he remembers who A is and can tell us who A is." Spencer said.
"Good idea we'll try that tomorrow and then we'll finally know who A is." I said, ready to reveal A's secret.
The next day we went to the hospital to see if we could make Mr. Fitz remember who A was.
Once we entered Mr. Fitz's room we saw that Aria was standing there talking to him.
"Hi guys" Aria said once she saw us. We had to get Aria to leave so we could hypnotize Mr. Fitz without Aria finding out my secret.
"Hi Aria, can I talk to Mr. Fitz for a while in private?" Spencer said.
"Spencer, whatever you got to say to Ezra you can say right now." Aria said.
Spencer kept trying to persuade Aria to exit the room with no effect. After five minutes I knew it was no idea since Aria wouldn't leave Mr. Fitz side not even if the hospital was on fire.
"Hey Aria can we talk outside the room?" I asked and Aria agreed and followed me and Emily out of the room.
"So what's up?" Aria asked.
"Well it's not easy to believe but we need to hypnotize Mr. Fitz so he can tell me who A is." I said.
"And why do you need to know who A is?" Aria asked staring at me.
"Because... because I'm Batgirl and Caleb is Robin." I said not really sure how Aria was going to react.
"Right, you and Caleb is Batgirl and Robin, hey, have I told you guys that I'm Wonder woman?" Aria answered sarcastically.
"It's the truth Aria, she really is Batgirl." Emily said, but Aria didn't seem to believe us.
"Listen, think about what Spencer said about Batgirl is over protective of Emily and add the fact that she showed up just as I got to Rosewood." I said in an effort to make Aria believe me.
Aria thought of what I had said then she looked at me in shock and yelled "HOLY SHIT YOU'RE BA..." Emily and I ran over and she covered Aria's mouth so no one would hear her.
"Yes I'm Batgirl and I need to know who A is so I'll be able to stop him or her once and for all." I whispered in Aria's ear.
"We're going to Hypnotize Mr. Fitz to find out who A is." Emily said.
"You know that we're not in school you can call him Ezra." Aria said.
"Yeah, but it just seems weird to call a teacher his first name." I said and Emily nodded agreeing with me.
We walked back to Mr. Fitz's room and Spencer had just started to him hypnotize and Mr. Fitz was not aware what we were doing.
"I told Aria about what we do during the nights." I said to Caleb and Spencer worried that Mr. Fitz would hear and remember what I said afterwards.
"Listen closely Ezra focus on my voice." Spencer said as she tried to make Mr. Fitz remember what happened during the torture which we assume was when he found out who A was.
"I don't like this, I feel very uncomfortable!" we heard Mr. Fitz say.
"He's about to wake up." Spencer said
Aria walked up to Mr. Fitz and holds his hand to make him calm down. "It's ok Ezra I'm right here by your side, all of the time" Aria said calmly and Mr. Fitz stopped trying to wake up.
"Ok Spencer you can start now." Aria said and Spencer stared the hypnosis.
"Ok, Ezra I want you to think back to when you were captured and tortured by A, I want you to remember what you saw, I want you to remember who you saw." Spenser said in a slow voice.
"I'm tied to a chair and... Oh my good please no no NOOOO..." Mr. Fitz started to scream in panic.
"Ezra calm down it's just a dream, now describe what you can see." Spencer said to calm Mr. Fitz down.
"No please not the scalpel." MR Fitz says panicked as he starts to sweat from fear.
"Mr. Fitz, who is holding the scalpel?" Spencer said.
"NO, NO, NOOOOO." Mr. Fitz yelled in panic.
"He's traumatized we have to make him snap out of it." Spencer said as she jumped back to avoid Mr. Fitz's hands flying around like he was fighting with a ghost. Aria jumped back to avoid Mr. Fitz's hands.
"I'll handle this." Caleb said as he ran next to Mr. Fitz and slapped him in the face, hard from the sound of it. Mr. Fitz was still screaming in panic so Caleb slapped him again even harder, but still no result.
"What the hell are you doing?" Aria yelled frustrated
Caleb says "What it always work in the movies." and raises his hand again
Aria is now frustrated and yells "Dude it's NOT working, now stop slapping him!" and Caleb backs away with his hands over his head in defense.
"Spencer what are we going to do?" Emily asked as she saw Mr. Fitz in his nightmarish trance.
"I got it." Caleb said. "Aria you have to kiss him." Caleb said and started to push Aria towards the bed.
"CALEB! This isn't a fairy tale that won't work." Spencer yelled and Caleb stopped pushing Aria.
"Just go and get a doctor." Spencer said before Caleb had a chance to explain himself.
"It was just a joke." Caleb mumbled and walked out of the room to get some help.
Suddenly Mr. Fitz stopped to scream, he just lay down in the bed, breathing slowly
"He has passed out." I said as I checked his pulse. "Ok, let's just wait for him to wake up and then we'll try again." I said.
"I'm sorry but that won't help, he panicked so much the odds are that when he wakes up his mind has repressed that memory." Spencer said looking to Mr. Fitz.
I couldn't believe it, I was this close to find out who A was and now I had nothing on A again. It felt like every time I got so close to find out who A was A had slipped out of my grasp.
I walked out of the hospital in anger, after a few moments I was joined by Caleb.
"The doctors said we had to leave. The girls went to the cafeteria, do you want something to eat?" Caleb said.
"No I'm fine, it's just. I could have stopped A but once again A is ten steps ahead of me, first A beats me in a fight and now..."
"Wait you've fought A, when?" Caleb asked cutting me off.
"Last week, I walked into one of A's traps fought whoever he or she is and lost." I said lowering my head in shame.
"Well did you get a clear look at A?" Caleb asked.
"No A was wearing a hoodie and a dark mask. I couldn't see any skin of them." I answered trying to stay calm.
"Well when you fought A did it feel like a girl?" Caleb asked.
"Are you seriously asking if I was trying to grope A?" I said a bit frustrated and Caleb raised his hands in defense while he took two steps back.
"Ok, I won't ask any more questions, besides you have much more to think about now since it's your girlfriend birthday in two days." Caleb said.
I panicked once I heard Caleb saying that. I couldn't believe that I had been so busy with my own problems that forgotten my girlfriend birthday.
The next morning:
I was at the mall trying to find something for Emily's birthday, it was so hard since I was stressing so I couldn't think clearly.
"Hi Paige, didn't expect to find you here." I heard someone say, I turned and saw it was Hanna.
"I'm trying to find a special birthday present to Emily but I don't know what I can choose to really impressed her." I said to Hanna.
"Well how about you buy her a car? I mean money isn't a problem for you." Hanna said.
"Yeah but Emily said that she loves me for who I am not what I have in my wallet." I explained to Hanna.
"Well most girls would want a car, a white shirt, that dress and those shoes." Hanna said and pointed to random clothes in the store.
"Hanna I know those are things you want" I said and Hanna lowered her head in defeat.
"Ok I'll help you find something to Em if you buy me something really expensive and shining for my birthday." Hanna said.
"Fine, but no messing around" I said sternly to Hanna.
"Sure, now I'm only serious." Hanna said and then she dragged me around the mall.
We stopped at a store where Hanna showed me the perfect gift that I bought it and had the cashier wrapped it.
When Hanna and I left the mall I couldn't help but notice Hanna staring at me.
"What is it Hanna?" I asked.
"Well Paigey, you do remember your promise right?" Hanna said giving me her sad puppy dog eyes.
"Yes Hanna I did and I've checked your Facebook account. I know that your birthday isn't for another 9 months." I say outsmarting Hanna.
"Darn it, and Paigey can you help us with a theme for the party."
I give it some thought and then I whisper the answer to Hanna
"Ok I like that idea Paigey, but don't tell Emily, let's make her surprised." Hanna says and I nod to her, Emily will definitely be surprised.
The next morning:
Emily's Pov-
"Happy birthday dear Emily, Happy birthday to you." I heard my mom sing.
I'm 18 years old and my mom still sings me that song, well not that I mind that because for a brief moment I think I'm a five year old, I can play in the park and not worry about anything because my dad would stand there by the park watching me, I miss those days.
I opened my eyes to see my mom, she has a small present and a cupcake with a small candle in it that she is holding in her hands.
"Happy birthday my baby" mom said and kissed my forehead. I sat up and accepted the present and took a bite from the cupcake.
I opened my gift and it was a Casio wristwatch that looked very expensive." I asked hoping that Paige hadn't pitched in.
"It was your father's idea, when he became 18 he got a watch and so did his siblings, it was one of his family's traditions so when you were born he started to save up so you could have this one." My mom said as I admired the watch.
"Well, try it on." My mom encouraged me, it fit like it was shaped for my wrist and my wrist alone, I felt like my dad was sitting right next to me as I checked the time.
"Well get dressed, I prepared a big breakfast to celebrate your birthday." My mom said as she walked downstairs and I checked the watch one more time. It was like my dad used to say "People don't have wristwatches to know the time, they have them to forget the time" then I checked the time one more time.
I got up and got dressed, when I entered the kitchen I saw that my mom had really outdone herself she had made and amazing breakfast. "Wow mom I've never tried your homemade cupcakes in forever." I said as I grabbed a plate and treated to pick eggs, bacon, more cupcakes, half an orange and a cup of coffee. I always preferred my mom's baking before store bought pastries any day.
"Well thank your girlfriend, she bought that new oven and I've never gotten enough using it, it works like a dream." My mom said.
Darn it Paige, I had told her that she didn't have to do it. I'm going to have to have a serious talk with her the next time I see her, I thought as I started eating the breakfast my mom had made for the both of us.
I had eaten more than I thought I could, everything just tasted so good. I knew I was grumpy about something but I couldn't remember it, oh well I guess it wasn't important.
My mom had left and I went to my room checking my cell phone, no messages that was unlike the girls we would basically send happy birthday text or emails like crazy but now my phone had nothing, that's odd.
I walked outside to get some fresh air, when suddenly two hooded men appeared from out of nowhere and grabbed me, they blindfolded me and tied my arms, I tried to scream but I couldn't, I felt that I was thrown inside a car that drove away, I was so scared right now.
I felt the car drive and after a few minutes it stopped I felt some hands pushing me out of the car and I had no idea where I was, I was put down on a chair and I heard the sound of water. Oh my god they were going to drown me.
I felt that my hands suddenly were untied so I reached up to the blindfold and yanked it off fast.
"SURPRISE!" I saw all my friends standing around me at all in their swimming clothes, I was at an indoor pool but where?
"Happy birthday Emily" I saw Paige walking up next to me and I hugged her tightly. She was wearing a black bikini top with a matching bottom "The pool got finished last night and it's ready to be used." Paige continued.
"That's great but I didn't bring a swimsuit." I said
"Well actually I fetched one of yours when you were kidnapped." Hanna said and handed me my dark purple bikini.
"Isn't it cool Em, look at the size of this pool it's almost as big as the one in the school?" Hanna said
"Yeah almost. Paige said hinted that her pool was bigger and I got plenty of towels and bathrobes to go around so don't worry about that." Paige said and turned to me.
"Ok get changed and we can start this." Paige said and music started to play in the speakers around the pool.
I ran to Paige's room, since I knew it would be empty and changed into my bikini and then I headed back were everyone was standing around the pool not doing anything.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing we just thought that the birthday girl would be the first one to try the water." Toby said.
"First one ever." Paige whispered.
Ok here I go. I stood by the edge and dived into the pool, the water felt so warm and I loved it, not shortly after I resurfaced the other guys jumped into the water joining me.
We swam around, laughed and splashed water on each other, I could not have wished for something better.
After a few hours we got out of the pool and put on our robes. And I started opening some presents, once I opened the one Paige had gotten me I was stunned, it was a white gold chain with an anchor pendant. On the front on the pendant was inscribed I love you engraved in elegant hand writing, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
I walked up to Paige and kissed her all over her face.
"Let me help you put it on" Paige said and I nodded. She walked up behind me and moved my wet hair to the side and gently put the necklace around me, kissing my neck before clasping the chain and caressing my neck and shoulder for a little while and she kissed the base of her neck one more time.
"You do know that I'll always wear this." I said looking at Paige.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Paige answered and we kissed each other softly.
"Guys save some for the cake." I heard Aria say.
I turn around and see a big birthday cake with 18 candles, everyone sang happy birthday and I blew out the candles.
After we cut the cake we all sat down and enjoyed it, the cake was like it was imported from heaven I loved it.
"Be careful so your cake don't fall down." Paige said as I took another bite from my cake piece.
"Don't worry I got a plate" I said temporally raising my plate.
"Yeah, but in Sweden there is an unwritten rule that goes if your cake falls to its side it means that you won't get married for a full year." Paige said and gave me a quick kiss.
"You're cute when you're confused." She said and took a bite from her piece.
Once Paige and I had finished our cake pieces the music was playing the Sergio Galoyan song PARADISE featuring Lena Katina, it was one of my favorite songs.
Paige took my hand and I leaned onto her shoulder.

We continued to dance around in the room nothing else mattered all I knew was I felt safe whenever I was close to Paige.

Suddenly I fell into the pool pulling Paige with me. Everyone laughed as Paige and I resurfaced. I saw Paige having her hair covering her face so I reached over moving it to the side and kissed her with passion.
A few hours later the party was over, the others had gone home and Paige and I was left at the pool cleaning up after the party.
"You know if you had a cleaner you wouldn't have to clean this." I said.
"If I had a cleaner that cleaner would be here and I wouldn't be able to do this." Paige said and then she lifted me in her arm and jumped in the pool. We kissed under the water, it was like nothing we ever had done before it felt like we were just kissing in low gravity, nothing else mattered we only needed each other.
We resurfaced and I moved my hand inside Paige's bikini bottom teasing her with my fingers.
"Emily we maybe should move this to the bedroom." Paige said and we both walked towards Paige's room, but once we were upstairs I couldn't control myself. I pushed Paige up against a wall kissing her wet body. Paige reached down and cupped my ass so I wrapped my legs around Paige's waist and continued to kiss her as she carried me to her bedroom.
Once we were inside Paige's bedroom I reached around her back untying the strings to her bikini top and throw it onto the fan. As it landed on the fan it made a loud splashing sound and it even dripped some water on us, not that we cared we were already soaked anyway.
Paige put us down on the bed and I cup her breasts earning some moans from Paige.
