**I do own Katelynn Odden, however

"How…how did you…?" Jack was too astonished to finish his sentence.

"We heard Toothless' shots." Jamie said. "Katelynn and I followed them and I saw Pitch on one of the buildings with Rapunzel. Then we went up to get her."

"How exactly?" Hiccup asked. He somewhat motioned at Katelynn. "She…kind of can't see…you know…"

Katelynn sheepishly grinned and rested her ax on her shoulder, "Hehe…well…"

Moments Ago

"Come on, Jamie! It's coming from over here!"

Jamie hurried after Katelynn, somewhat panting. "Can you slow down just a little bit?" With great difficulty, he slightly lifted up his lent shield and battle ax. "These things are weighing me down…"

"You want me to carry them?" Katelynn offered. "I can, if you want me too."

"Nah, I'm good…"

Katelynn shrugged and pulled on her mask that matched her leather armor. Only her eyes were slightly visible. "Can't believe this thing fits me." Her voice was muffled thanks to the mask.

"Didn't you say that it was a replica of—"

"The original? Yep, it's too dangerous to take the original out of the vault. You know what happens to hundreds of years old leather does when it hits air." With her hands, she dropped them and made a tearing noise.

Jamie slightly laughed at Katelynn but stopped when he looked up. "Hey." He led Katelynn near the edge of an alley.

Katelynn yelped and jumped backwards. She knelt to the ground and came back up with an arrow in her hand. "…Would you explain to me why I almost got hit by an arrow?"

"That looks like Merida's arrow."

"There's her name again. Who is she?"

"Like I said, one of the Guardians. Or Big Four." Jamie pointed forwards. "That's Merida."

Katelynn followed Jamie's finger and shook her head. "I don't see anyone…wait, is that Hiccup?"

"Looks like." Jamie turned around when he heard voices near them. The voice was very familiar. His eyes widened when he heard muffled yells. He tapped Katelynn's shoulder to get her attention and motioned her to follow…quietly. Katelynn nodded and did just that, she was walking on her tiptoes. Jamie followed the voice, hearing it get louder and louder. He stopped when he heard it laugh.

Katelynn must of heard it too. "What was that?"

"I don't know." Jamie whispered back. "But it sounded like…"

"Dude in black?"

"Dude in—?" Jamie realized what his best friend meant. His eyes filled with both fear and anger. "Pitch." He continued to follow the voice. Suddenly he stopped Katelynn with his arm and knelt down to the ground. "Rapunzel. He's got Rapunzel."

Katelynn looked over Jamie's shoulder. "I don't see Rapunzel…but I can see Pitch."

"How?"

Katelynn shrugged. "I don't know. I'm starting to wonder that myself. But I believe you that Rapunzel is there, it'll explain the chains floating in thin air."

"What do you want to do?" Jamie asked.

"…Distraction?"

Jamie nodded. "I'll do that."

"Wait, what?" Katelynn stuttered, "I-It was just a suggestion!"

"It was a good suggestion."

Katelynn quietly groaned. "Ugh, fine…I'll get the chains. You get Pitch's attention or get him away." Jamie nodded and crept away, leaving Katelynn alone in the alleyway. A few minutes later, she saw a glimpse of him on the other side of the open gap of the connecting alleys. She stifled a laugh when he threw a rock at Pitch's head then hid in the shadows. Pitch spun around and growled lowly. Katelynn watched closely as Pitch tied the floating chains around a light post. Jamie stuck his tongue out at Pitch and ran off as fast as he could, taunting Pitch. Pitch melted into the shadows and Katelynn could see his outline go after Jamie. Acting quickly, Katelynn rushed to the floating chains. 'Rapunzel is there…Rapunzel is there…Rapunzel…is there…' Katelynn eye's narrowed when a very faint outline of a person in the chains and shackles. Then the outline became a solid figure. Katelynn pulled down the gag on Rapunzel's mouth and slightly smiled. "Hello…Rapunzel."

"Katelynn?"

"That's me. Let's get you out of these things." Katelynn swung down her ax as hard as she could. The ax made a chip in the chain. Katelynn swung at it again, this time breaking through. Rapunzel shot off of the asphalt and turned around for Katelynn to pick the shackle's lock. They fell down to the ground with a hard 'clunk'. Katelynn motioned Rapunzel to run. "I'll meet up with you in a second." Rapunzel nodded and ran off into the alley the way Katelynn and Jamie came. Katelynn was bouncing up and down, waiting for Jamie come back. She smiled when she saw him burst out of the shadows. "Did you lose him?"

"I think so…" Jamie panted. "But…we should…get going…"

"Amen to that."

"That's how you got Rapunzel back?" Hiccup asked.

Katelynn nodded. "Yeah. But we should hightail it. Pitch might come back—" A roar sounded over their heads, making all of them look up.

Jamie's eyes bugged out of his head from what he saw. "What is that?!"

"Run!" Jack yelled.

Reminder guys, this story takes place in 2015, four years after "Rise of the Guardians" so Jamie is fourteen. And sidenote, Katelynn is fifteen
