Chapter 38: Your Lips Are Venomous Poison
Paige's Pov-
I was walking down the street where I heard some screaming.
It was coming from inside a small store and it sounded like it was a woman.
I peaked around a corner and saw Jason DiLaurentis shouting at some old lady. I wasn't sure what to do since it was during the day so I wasn't wearing my bat suite I was just Paige.
"Bitch listen I don't care that you're my mother I want to get my sister out of jail!" He shouted very aggressive.
"Jason your sister worships chaos! If she was to be let out of jail she'd only continue from where she had left off." The woman screamed in fear for her life.
I couldn't just stand there I had to do something otherwise Jason would kill that poor woman.
I sneaked up behind Jason and grabbed a frying pan that was lying on the floor, slowly walking closer and closer towards Jason.
"Oh mommy dearest you say that you'd do anything to protect your kids but now you're not doing anything not for your daughter or nothing to help me, your own son." Jason said.
"And now..." I smacked him in the back off his head with the frying pan and he fell to the floor.
"Are you alright lady?" I asked the woman.
"Yes... I'll be fine." She said putting a hand on her chest.
"Do you know him?" I asked gesturing to Jason.
"Yes sadly I'm his mother." The woman said sounding disappointed and I didn't blame her.
"I'm Paige McCullers." I said and offered my hand.
"Jessica DiLaurentis." She said and shocked my hand.
I reached for my phone to call the cops where Jessica suddenly looked like she's seen a ghost.
"Wait you're Paige McCullers as in the Paige McCullers?" Jessica asked.
"Yes" I answered confused.
"That Paige McCullers that lost her parents who founded the company that builds military hardware?" Jessica asked me.
"Yes, that's me." I answered.
Jessica DiLaurentis suddenly ran up and hugged me.
"Your mother and I were close friends, I used to babysit you when you were just a baby." Jessica said and she also showed a photo of her and my mom, my mom was holding a baby in her arms.
"That's you, you were such a cute baby and look at you now, you're all grown up now." Jessica said and started to cry.
"I almost would have been your godmother but I declined since I had my own two kids and they were more than a handful... If I had known what would have happened to your parents I'd..." She said and broke down in more tears.
"Hey, its ok you didn't know." I said and rubbed her back to comfort her.
"Well, if you ever need an adult to talk to my door is always open for you." Jessica said and I felt like I had to tell her that I wasn't the same girl as when she last saw me.
I took a small step back and looked into her eyes.
"I'm not exactly who you think I am... I like girls I'm a lesbian." I said to her hoping that she wouldn't freak out.
"I don't mind that at all." Jessica said and smiled at me it felt good to meet someone else than my aunt that knew my parents.
"I have to go now, but I'd love to see you again sometime." I said as I started to walk out of the store.
"Paige you're always welcome for a visit any time just promise me one thing, stay safe this town isn't a safe place for anyone." Jessica said.
"Yes I promise that I'll be careful." I said as I went out through the door.
Emily's Pov-
I waited for Paige by her locker, she was getting late which wasn't like her and since it was daytime she couldn't be out dressed like Batgirl.
"Hey Em." I heard her shout.
"Paige, just where have you been?" I asked her.
"I met a lady that knew my mom." she answered.
"Oh, what's her name?" I asked.
"Jessica DiLaurentis" Paige said.
"Wait... The mother of Alison and Jason knew your mother?" I asked shocked.
"Yes that's her, but I don't think she is evil. Her son was trying to kill her if I hadn't saved her." Paige answered.
"And I checked her through the bat computer, she has no criminal background, she is just a nice middle aged woman." Paige said.
"I'm glad that you found her, Paige." I said and pulled her in for a hug.
We went to our classes I had English and Paige had history so once we had reached her classroom, we said our good byes and then I went to my English class. Mr. Fitz seemed to have sober up like he never touched any alcohol in days, he seemed like he had improved a lot it seemed like we were going to learn anything today.
After class I went to lunch with Hanna and Spencer since Paige had another class.
We sat down at our table and started to eat.
"So, guys guess what Paige met Mrs. DiLaurentis today and she found out that her mother was friends' whit Mrs. DiLaurentis." I said as we ate our food.
"Really Mrs. DiLaurentis knew Paige's mother? Hard to think so since both Alison and Jason are working for A, I'm surprised that Jessica DiLaurentis isn't working for A." Spencer said.
"Wait Alison worked for A? When did she do that?" Hanna asked.
"Alison was Catwoman, Hanna. Seriously do you never see the news?" Spencer asked a bit frustrated at Hanna's ignorance.
"Well maybe I'm not that interested to find out what A has done last night, Spence. I mean until Batgirl arrived all news was off what else A has claimed or if someone is missing, after a while you just get tired to read or hear those kinds of things." Hanna said.
For the first time it seemed like Spencer didn't have anything to say, but Hanna was right when A had arrived to this town no one had been safe at nights and every morning something horrible had happened. When Paige had arrived It had changed everything since the cops wouldn't do anything to stop A, but Paige was willing to make sure that A's plans were stopped and at the same time make sure that no one innocent would suffer.
"So you haven't read the newspapers where it says how Batgirl has stop one of A's henchmen, or seen the news were they showed her fighting Fire fly?" I asked Hanna.
"No I haven't because it won't stop, not until A is dead." Hanna answered.
Those words hurt, I had seen Paige fight villains before, but I'd never in my life imagined that she would kill anyone, not my Paige.
I looked up to the hallway and saw Paige so I got up from the table shutting out what Hanna and Spencer said as I left them by the table.
"Hi Em, what's..." Paige said but I cut her off by asking her to walk with me. We walked into the girl's bathroom and I made sure that every stall was empty.
"Emily if you want to have sex you'll have to wait until after school" Paige joked.
"Paige, I need to ask you something... it's just that..." God why is this so hard to ask? "If you'd be forced to would you kill a person if you had the chance?" I asked.
"Emily I understand why you think like that and it's not like I haven't thought about killing them since it would make sure that they wouldn't harm anyone again, but if I did that would make me the monster and that isn't me. I will face A, I will fight A, but I won't become A." Paige said as I looked right into her eyes I knew she told me the truth.
"Paige, how do you do it? How can you get the motivation to continue the fight even when you have all odds against you?" I asked.
"I just think of you, I want to win the fights I have every night so I can spend the next day together with you even if it's just for a few minutes." Paige said and I moved in and gave her a kiss.
"My friends probably wonder where I am, I'll have to go to them." I said.
"Ok, I'll see you later." Paige said and I exit the girl's bathroom.
Paige's Pov-
I went to the sink and started to wash my hands.
"Hey there, you're Paige McCullers right?" I hear someone ask.
I turned around and saw a blond girl that looked like she was older than me.
"Yeah, and you are?" I asked.
"My name is Cece Drake and I'm looking for someone that can offer some money for a good cause." She said.
"I don't remember seeing you here, what year are you?" I asked trying to remember if I had seen her before.
"Well, actually I don't go to high school I got to UPenn. I just got here to see if you'd be able to donate some dollars." Cece said.
"And what is the cause?" I asked.
"To help me have some shopping money." Cece answered with a smirk.
"Sorry I don't have any cash on me." I said and returned my focus to the sink.
"Well how about you get the money after school and I'll be very happy" Cece said and looked at me with flirty eyes.
No I'm not going to give you any money and I already have a girlfriend! Is what I was about to say but when I saw into her eyes I lost control over my mind so I said "Yes" and Cece just smiled and took my cell phone.
"Here is my number call me when you've got the donation." Cece said and gave me my cell phone back before she disappeared through the door.
I just stood there with my mouth wide opened. What had just happened? I had agreed to give some collage girl shopping money just like that. I splashed cold water on my face over and over again trying to find out what had happened.
Emily's Pov-
Later in the park
I was jogging through the park when I suddenly saw Paige talking to a blonde girl that I didn't recognize from anywhere. Paige gave her some cash and she smiled and whispered something into Paige's ear before blowing her a kiss.
The blonde girl left and I decided to follow her to find out who she was.
I followed the girl until she reached a green house, I followed her inside and saw that she put the cash in a flower pot and filled it with dirt.
I tried to sneak out of the green house but I knocked down another flower pot the broke on the ground, now the blonde girl saw me.
"What did you see?" She yelled as some vines wrapped themselves around me so I couldn't move.
"I saw you accepting money from my girlfriend." I answered not really thinking about what I just said.
"Well since in a few minutes the vines will tear you apart I should probably tell you. I am, Poison Ivy and I can flirt anyone into doing whatever I want and mommy want money, but I don't want a relation so I'll convince your girlfriend to give me all of hers then I'll kiss her for her trouble, but my lips are filled with poison so she'll die after she transfers the money to me." Ivy said.
"You won't get away with th..." Was all I could say as a vine covered my mouth.
"Yes, I will" Ivy said and left the green house.
I had to warn Paige, but I was stuck, I didn't know what to do.
I kept trying to break the vines, but I wasn't strong enough, my right hand was free but I couldn't get out of the vines grasp.
I felt the vines grip tightening and I felt like I was getting strangled. For every second it got harder to breath and I had just lost all felling in my left arm.
I punched into one of the green house's walls with my right fist until it broke, I took a sharp and started to cut the vine until I was free.
I took a few deep breaths before hurrying to Paige's mansion to warn her.
Paige's Pov-
I was in my mansion trying to figure out how I could just give Cece 10000 dollars in cash just like that, I must be losing my mind.
I sit down trying to calm down from whatever that's going on with me.
I heard someone knock on the door and I walk over to open it, it was Cece.
"Hi." She says and blows me a kiss.
"Hi what can I help you with?" I ask completely paralyzed in the spot.
"I want you to transfer all your money into my account, please it would make me really happy." She says very flirty.
"I... erm I don't." I try to speak, but I can't get a word out.
"Oh come on dear you don't want to make me..." Cece says when she suddenly falls to the floor. I look behind her and see Emily standing there holding a flower pot that she had hit Cece in her head with.
"She was going to fool you to give her money... and then she was going to kill you" Emily said sounding exhausted.
She ran up and hugged me. "Paige I was worried that I could have lost you." She says and cry into my shoulder. I call the police later and they take Cece to jail.
A few days later
Emily and I are visiting Jessica DiLaurentis and we talk about how well she knew my mom.
"Wait you and my mom was figure skaters?" I ask Jessica.
"Yes we were, well not professionally it was just that final thing from our childhood that we didn't want to let go, we even tried when she was pregnant with you, Paige." Jessica said.
Suddenly the door was kicked open and Jason ran in.
"I'm here to finish what I've started last time I was here." Jason said as he walked in holding a knife.
"Jason, please let the girls got, they haven't done anything wrong." Jessica said.
"No! They know to mush to live." Jason said and ran towards Emily, but before he reached her I grabbed his arm and threw him over my shoulder so he landed on his back.
"Well, well, well someone that can fight, very well." He said and swung his knife at me, I jumped back to avoid it.
"Come here you bitch!" Jason yelled as he kept swinging his knife towards me, missing every time.
I had to go on the offensive, I elbowed Jason in his nose so he took a step back, I followed up with a few punches to his ribs and finished with an uppercut to his jaw that sent him to the floor.
Jason slowly started to get back up. "Now I remember you. You're Paige McCullers. I remember your mom. She was a real whore. She was a bitch of a mother to raise a dyke." Jason said and I snapped.
I grabbed Jason by his throat and started to choke him. I didn't care that Emily and Jessica saw me I just wanted to Jason to die.
"Paige, don't do this!" Emily shouted "STOP IT!" She yelled and I released what I was doing, I dropped Jason and he looked at me laughing.
"I knew you did have the..." He got cut off by Jessica throwing a flower pot on him so he got knocked out. "Shut the fuck up." Jessica said as she left to call the police.
Oh my god, I had almost killed someone right in front of Emily, I started to cry since I felt like a monster, Emily would probably break u with me now I just knew it.
"Paige come here, let's get you home." Emily says and puts her arm around me leading me to the door.
During the walk back to my mansion neither Emily nor I said a word, Emily just rubbed my back as she helped me to get home.
We reached my mansion when the night had fallen so Emily helped me to my bed.
"Emily if you hate me and think I'm a monster just say it I wouldn't blame you." I said expecting her to break up with me.
"Paige." Emily said cupping my cheeks so I would look at her. "You're not a monster and I don't hate you. You are the girl that I fell in love with and that will always be what I'll remember you for." She says wipes my tears.
"But I almost killed someone." I said.
"You didn't, when I told you to stop you spared him and that's why I'll never stop loving you, you are not evil you are just amazing." Emily says and kiss my forehead.
"How could I ever live without you?" I asked as Emily stood up.
"I'm going to call my mom and tell her that I'll be spending the night with you." Emily says as she grabs her phone.
After Emily made the call we both went to bed falling asleep, her holding me.
