Disclaimer-...Yeah, I don't think so.
A/N 1- I still don't care that I'm changing some facts.
A/N 1.5- I still haven't fixed the tenth to thirteenth yet, but…I'm trying.
A/N 2- This story has a bit of yaoi thrown in every once in a while in case someone totally missed it. I do try to point it out if there's an actual chunk of it, but a word or phrase or line gets thrown in sometimes and I apologize if that offends anyone.
A/N 2.25- I do try to put it in where there's not a lot of actual plot or development, just relationship development.
A/N 2.5- For actual pairings thus far, though not necessarily in this chapter, there has been Ryuken/Isshin and Urahara/Soken. As I go, there will be more added.
A/N 2.75- Urahara and Sado aren't exactly in a relationship, not even in this chapter.
A/N 3- Hey, Anna! Thank you so much for your encouragement!
A/N 4- Hey, Elfen Children! Thank you so much for the compliment and encouragement!
Noba was sitting on the front counter of Urahara's shop, leaning back on one hand and drinking tea. His hood was down enough for him to enjoy the warm liquid, though he'd immediately zip it up if he so much as thought he felt another being coming close to the room. Consindering there was Ururu, Jinta, Tessai, Urahara, and the teen, it happened quite often.
Noba felt emotionally drained; as his maker was upset and he couldn't do anything about it. He felt as somewhat responsible for not being able to help, though he knew Urahara would never let him think that. Maybe that was why he didn't sense or hear anyone approaching as all of a sudden, a mob burst through the shop's front door. Needless to say, he was startled, spilling his tea all over his lap.
The people at the door were all shoved together, stuck in the door way and their struggling was only making it worse. Rukia randomly grabbed a glomp of hair and pulled, only to find Ichigo's head attached. She pushed that back down and grabbed again, getting a foot…that was also attached to the substitute shinigami. Ichigo grabbed a shirt and pulled, ripping the black material. His other hand reached out and grabbed what felt like fingers. Inoue found herself looking at the edge of a wooden sword, holding someone's hand. Yumichika kicked out, hearing an oomph! and receiving a painful slap. Ikkaku slashed at whatever he could, trying to get everyone go back out and let him through.
Hitsugaya sighed as he stared at the wiggling mess in the door way. He jumped over it easily, landing next to a shocked ninja-like man. He looked to the man and held out a hand for a handshake. "Hitsugaya-Taichou," he introduced himself curtly.
Noba looked at the boy, then to the hand, then back to the boy. He zipped up his hood and opened a portal, quickly disappearing.
Hitsugaya sighed. He turned back to the knotted mass of limbs and took a deep breath. He gathered a small reiatsu ball and released it into the middle area of the struggling ball of people. The entire group was blown out the door and spread. He sighed and turned to where the hooded man had been before he had disappeared, hoping the owner of the shop would come out soon. He wanted to talk to the surprisingly intriguing man…even though he had just met him? It was weird, even for him, that by just a glance he would want to get to know someone.
All the members of the group that had been stuck were panting, trying to get their breath back from not only hitting the ground so hard, put the blast of energy somewhat short circuited their respiratory systems. Ichigo rubbed at his aching head, checking to see if he was missing any overly large chunks of hair. Ikkaku was glaring at the hole in his pants that was conveniently located on his upper, though thankfully outer, thigh. Inoue rubbed her ankles, them having been twisted due to someone slashing them after she had been staring at the very sword that dealt such damage. Yumichika rubbed at his clothing, trying to get wrinkles out while complaining about how absolutely ugly wrinkled clothing was, terrified to look at his cheek in case there was an even uglier red mark. Rangiku was rubbing her ribs, them having been kicked by someone who left a shoe print on her clothes that looked suspiciously like Yumichika's.
Hitsugaya sighed at the complaining souls and humans behind him. "Get over here, NOW!" He ordered, tired of dealing with the childlike group already.
Tessai, Jinta, and Ururu heard the commotion; there was no way they couldn't have. They came out into the main area, seeing the bruised and battered group. "Get the tea, Children," Tessai said, shooing them away. "What happened to you?" He asked, getting out cushions and salves for the group even though he had a pretty good idea as to the reason anyway.
Hitsugaya sighed as he helped the man. "They all tried to take up the same space at the same time," he mumbled, more than slightly irritated.
Tessai nodded. "I see," he said, giving the boy the comfiest cushion. "Go. Sit down, it's all right. Noba will calm down soon and get Urahara and Sado-kun and the children will be back with tea shortly," he all but ordered the captain, shooing him off as well to sit in a back room.
Hitsugaya nodded and went to the specified room. He saw the hooded man from earlier. "Hey," he said soft but firmly, letting the man know he was there before entering.
Noba looked at the boy and reached to shut his hood. He stopped, whispering, "Noba." He shut the hood and opened another portal, heading to the room his maker was.
Urahara was running a finger up and down the large teen's broad chest when he heard a portal open. He immediately sat up, knowing it was his shy creation, and turned to look in the direction. "Noba, my child," he said somewhat happily, feeling better after confiding in Sado what he hadn't even told Yoruichi.
Noba nodded and walked to the man, gently grabbing the blonde's arm and pulling weakly. He hoped that it was enough to get the man to understand that he had guests, but he was too shy to say anything due to the dark teen's presence.
Urahara immediately understood the general gist of Noba's actions, smile dropping a bit as he turned to Sado. "Sado," he whispered, not sure how he wanted to ask him to go with him to face whatever was waiting for him. He didn't want to leave the comfort the teen was giving him, much less go deal with people without him.
Sado smiled and stood, pulling the blonde with him. He slid an arm around the man's waist to steady the tired shinigami as he started to sway. Once Urahara was for sure not going to fall down on him, he let go, grudgingly letting the man walk by himself. He would much rather carry him. 'Wonder how much trouble I'd get in if I carried him to his bed, laid him down, curled around him and forced him to sleep…he'd probably hate me, though. There's so much tension on his shoulders, give him a massage, send him to bed,' he thought silently: he would not admit that out loud. Ever. He smiled down at the man slightly, giving him some much needed comfort.
Noba watched the large teen, not quite sure if he wanted to run away from him or not yet. Luckily, he didn't have to decide as Urahara nodded to him, quietly saying, "Lead the way." Noba gratefully nodded, heading toward the tea room silently.
By the time the small group arrived at the room, the others had already been seated and served tea. Urahara was slightly surprised to see the tenth captain, but wasn't concerned. If anything, he had news of little Uryu. He sat down, Sado next to him. He grabbed Noba's shirt as he was about to disappear and pulled, indicating he wanted him to sit next to him.
Hitsugaya smiled as the hooded man sat down between Urahara and himself, finding himself intruiged by the shy being. He turned to Noba, smiling softly. "Wanna be my friend?" He asked, using his best child expression to try to manipulate and convince him to agree.
(A/N: starting from Sado, going in the circle around the table: Sado, Urahara, Noba, Hitsugaya, Rangiku, Ururu, Tessai, Jinta, Yumichika, Ikkaku, Renji, Ichigo, Orihime, Rukia, back to Sado.)
Noba was confused. He hadn't said two words, literally, to the child, and yet he wanted to be friends? He deeply took a shaky breath, unaccustomed to such things. He quickly turned to Urahara for advice. "Friends?" He whispered to the man questioningly, confused.
Urahara smiled and leaned down to the masked man, finding it cute how absolutely clueless he was. "Tell him yes, he won't bite," he whispered back, delighted that someone talking to Noba hadn't sent him escaping through his own version of a black hole.
Noba looked back to Hitsugaya shyly. "Yes, he won't bite," he murmured softly, nervous beyond belief.
Renji burst out laughing, ignoring the glares that were directed at him. "You…you…" he tried to gasp out, finding the hooded man's actions the utmost hilarious.
Hitsugaya glared at the redhead. "Shut. Up." He ordered short and clearly before turning back to the shy man. His hood was zipped up and his head down. "Hey," he called softly as he reached a hand up to set on the man's shoulder. "It's all right, he's just being an idiot like usual. Don't pay any heed to him, it's normal," he said soothingly, trying to get the man to calm down.
Noba hesitantly unzipped his hood, glancing at the boy. He looked to the hand on his shoulder and cocked his head to the side, confused as to why he was being touched, though he wasn't at all complaining about it.
Renji, after giving up on teasing Noba after being yelled at, was attempting to get Ichigo's cup of tea…not to drink it, of course; but, rather, to spill the scalding liquid on said teen's lap. Ichigo had the cup in one hand, holding it as far away as possible while trying to push the red haired man away with his other. Rangiku was trying to get her captain's attention, pulling on his shirt and saying his name over and over and over and over, even though she knew he was blatantly ignoring her. Yumichikia was looking in his hand held mirror, fussing over the still red mark on his cheek. He was annoyed that it had a huge spider web crack in it from somebody's wooden sword, making his reflection hazy and, therefore in his opinion, unacceptably ugly. Ikkaku was trying to help Renji get the cup of tea from the substitute shinigami while trying not to hit his beauty obsessed friend again by accident. Orihime was ducking from Ichigo's swinging arm as every time he moved the slightest bit she almost got the steaming liquid dumped on her. They were all bickering and fighting over stupid topics, causing Tessai and Ururu to cover their ears. Jinta was reaching over the bald and raven shinigamis, holding onto red hair to try to keep Renji from getting the tea. He worked hard making that damn it.
Rukia sighed exasperatedly and crossed her arms, annoyed over their obnoxious antics. She grabbed Ichigo's tea out of his hand and set it down next to Sado, figuring that would put an end to the fighting over said drink. She was wrong, however, as Renji and Ikkaku grabbed at Ichigo and tackled him, pulling Jinta along into the fray due to his death grip on the red hair. The four ended up in a massive play fight, leaving the rest of the occupants of the table at peace and not ducking to avoid bruises or burns or scratches or broken bones.
Sado looked down at Urahara, worried about how he would handle being around the loud and argumentative group. Upon noticing how distraught and utterly flustered the man looked, he leaned down to the blonde's ear. "Are you okay?" He asked so very quietly that the only person who heard was the intended audience. He pulled back slightly to gauge the man's reaction carefully. He saw the man shake his head slightly, indicating that he was not, in fact, okay. His hands fidgeted; he looked nervous, anxious even, over their current situation. Daring to take a bold, and possibly deadly, move, Sado reached out a hand and gently clasped one of Urahara's own under the short table top, ensuring no one else saw it.
Urahara took a sharp breath. He was surprised by Sado's action to say the least, very surprised. He looked down at their interlocked hands then back up at the teen, hoping beyond hope that the teen wasn't suggesting what he thought the darker one was by the action. However, he was grateful for the contact and comfort, but he was still scared and so uncertain on where they stood. He still loved Soken after all. None the less, he smiled slightly, gently giving the hand over his a quick squeeze. He was rewarded with a returned firm pressure. He smiled brightly before turning to the young captain. "What are you and these…others…doing here, Hitsugaya-Taichou?" He asked politely albeit softly, trying to keep his voice steady.
Hitsugaya looked to the blonde man and smiled broadly, completely distracted by his new found shy friend. "Huh? Oh, we're here because someone suspects Aizen might possibly be up to something somewhat big. Maybe," he said, smile fading slightly as he relayed part of his mission.
Urahara was somewhat upset by that; he didn't care about Aizen overly much, he just wanted news on Uryu damn it! "Oh. I see…" He whispered, looking down.
Hitsugaya reached around his new friend and lightly laid a hand on Urahara's sleeve, waiting until the man looked up at him. "He's up. He's healthy. Last I knew, he was content and happy. He absolutely loves hanging out in the crook of Kuchiki's neck. He seems to like Komamura and Kenpachi and Ukitake and possibly Shunsui as well as Kuchiki. He's all right. If anything, I worry about the other children's jealousy and everyone's sanity. He's so cute and sweet that everyone, and I do mean everyone, fawns over him. He has them all around his little finger, even if he doesn't know it. Even Yamamoto Sou-Taichou shortened a meeting and went outside to watch some of the captains with him," he said softly, encouragingly. His smile widened once more and he pulled away, returning his full undivided attention to Noba.
Urahara smiled a little. He was happy that the young Quincy was doing perfectly all right…but he missed him, wanted to hold him once more, love him as he once had. He leaned back slightly into the teen behind him, exceedingly grateful for the update. "Ury…" he whispered softly, capturing the attention of Tessai.
Tessai looked to the blonde shop keeper and smiled sadly. "He'll be all right," he tried to reassure, though he knew that he wasn't ever going to be the one to convince him of that; nor would he ever be able to ever reassure the man ever again. He turned to Sado and gave a slight nod, indicating that he was accepting that the teen would be able to keep the man sane, would be the one to reassure and help him. He received a soft grunt in reply, a soft thank you. He turned to the three shinigami still fighting, Jinta having been able to escape a short time earlier to reclaim his spot by him. He just shook his head gloomily. They'd all be okay eventually, as in, it'd take a while.
Ururu grabbed Jinta as she watched Tessai get up, following the man's example. The children trailed behind the man to get to the back rooms where he was pulling blankets and pillows out of the closet. They set up a few makeshift beds for their guests that would at least suffice for the night, deciding it was probably for the best. Especially as they heard a loud crash that sounded suspiciously like someone's head being thrown into a wall. Hard.

(Hint of Yaoi Kenpachi/Byakuya, second to last paragraph)
Byakuya smiled as he hugged the once again sleeping boy to him. Kenpachi was behind him; the rough captain's back on a flat tilted side of a rock, feet flat on the floor, and knees up to give him a soft back rest. He shifted a little, making sure he wasn't stirring Uryu nor hurting Kenpachi, his back slipping into the perfect nook made by the man's legs. He watched as Sajin stretched back carefully, his spine popping. He had asked to stay for a while, much unlike the man he was leaning against who had announced he was staying.
Sajin groaned softly as he moved, his leg having fallen asleep. He was somewhat nervous as he had a question on his mind, but he didn't know if it would be received well at all. He fidgeted a bit, moving his shifting positions almost constantly.
Kenpachi sighed angrily. He was annoyed that the wolf shinigami was moving once again, even though he wasn't leaning against him in the slightest. As such, he didn't quite know what about the endless movement that was pissing him off so much. "Oi! Sajin! Quit it. At this rate, you'll wake Cutie up just from being your fucken nervousness there," he scolded harshly, reaching a hand up to scratch his head absently.
Sajin turned a biting glare at the man, knowing if looks could kill Kenpachi's very ashes and reaitsu would've been incinerated in nanoseconds. "Easy for you to say," he mumbled, annoyed at his own lack of ideas on how to ask.
Kenpachi reached over and thumped the man on the head. "It is easy. If I wanna ask somethin' I ask out fuckin' right. I don't beat around the damned bush like you are right now," he growled, absently picking through Uryu's backpack, a servant having brought it by earlier.
Byakuya perked up a bit upon hearing their discussion. He untucked and retucked his old captain's haori nervously, the one he left with the boy years ago (as of which the servant had also brought), and looked to the seventh captain. "What is it?" He asked softly, quite interested in this newest development.
Sajin swallowed thickly, feeling like a deer blinded by headlights as humans put it. "Huh?" He asked intelligently, making Kenpachi snort in annoyed amusement. He was met with silence. He thought for a moment more before sighing. "Jyushiro won't be able to always watch him if you are busy or whatnot. Even if it's only when he has an attack," he murmured, terrified of angering the intimidating raven.
Byakuya smiled and carefully reached over, hitting Sajin's leg. "Baka! Of course he won't be able to, I knew that when I asked. If you want to watch him at times, just say so, something will get worked out for it as surely even Ukitake will need a break, too," he scolded lightly, turning back to his child. "Besides, I'm not going to let him be cooped up and studying constantly with no time to himself. He can do what he will, as long as he is safe and such. I'm not going to keep him on the same noble leash I was…am on. I mean no disrespect to anyone, but I find that the relaxed way you, Zaraki, take care of young Yachiru would be the best course of action, even if she does have a habit of causing mayhem among my Koi. He is technically fifteen, after all," he finished softly, not quite wanting to admit that particular fact. It hurt him to know he was going to let the boy be out of his sight as often as he wanted. Granted, the boy was going to have some semblance of rules, but he didn't plan on locking him in a perpetual cage.
Sajin smiled at the man. "Thank you," he said, truly and utterly grateful that the man was understanding enough to reassure him.
Zaraki scoffed softly, his eyes widening at the admission. "You like the way I raise Yachiru?" he asked, doubting the man wasn't crazy. "Yer a noble. Shouldn't little nobles be raised accordin' to those prissy rules of tradition or some'at like that? No matter if they're cute or not," He asked, scratching at his chin thoughtfully.
Byakuya rolled his eyes. "I'm the head of the clan. In the end, what I say goes," he said, shrugging his shoulder. He really didn't care what the members thought at this point. He looked down to the child in his arms. "He's mine. I won't let those who won't spend even an hour with him to try to dictate his life," Byakuya all but sneered. He took a deep breath and smiled, gently stroking the child's hair.
Kenpachi smirked. "I think I like this new you. You don't take shit from anyone, even those you used to follow like their shadow," he said brazenly, half hoping to spark a reaction out of the man.
Sajin smacked Kenpachi's arm. "You're an idiot," he growled, looking at a clock hanging on the far wall. "No wonder he's out, it's bedtime," he said, though he didn't move to get up.
Byakuya looked at the clock as well and nodded. "Would you care to stay?" He asked, moving to stand up.
Sajin looked at the boy thoughtfully, wanting to. However, he said, "Thank you for your offer, but I must be heading out. Good night, Kuchiki-Taichou, Zaraki-Taichou, Little One." He turned to each one respectively, bowing to the captains and pressing a kiss to a fingertip and placing it on the boy's forehead.
Kenpachi sighed as he watched the man as he walked out the door. "I best be gettin' to Yachiru and hope she hasn't killed anyone yet," he mumbled. He smirked and turned to the noble. "Good night, you little cutie," he whispered to the sleeping child, laying a hand on his head for a moment. "Good night, Princess," he said, using a finger to tip the man's head up. He pressed a quick kiss to the man's unsuspecting lips. He used his shunpo and got out of there quickly, hoping the man wouldn't kill him.
Byakuya was stunned. He pressed a hand to his lips, easily holding his child in one arm. "What?" He whispered. He didn't even know the man swung that way, let alone was bothered enough to do that to him. He wasn't disgusted, though. He found it…pleasant? "I really need to sleep," he mumbled to himself, getting up and going to the baths, leaving the room behind him.
Ulquiorra stepped out into the room. He walked around the room slowly, making sure he gathered what information he needed: dimensions, objects, etc. He wrote everything down in his notebook. Once getting the needed information, he stepped back into the tunnel system. He went to where he knew the noble's room was. As he was walking, he wrote as he spoke softly. "Father is protective. Large eyepatched beast kissed Father. Dog wants to spend time with child. Child likes attention. Child adorable. Child likes to sew. Child acts as a child." He stopped. Not quite sure he wrote what he thought he might've said, he looked over his notes. He saw that he had indeed written 'Child adorable'. "I'm in trouble," he whispered, ignoring the warm pulling that tugged at what little emotions he had. He shook his head. "Child has ability to make anyone like him," he mumbled, writing as he continued to his destination.

(Major Yaoi Ryuken/Isshin)
Ryuken took a deep breath and pressed himself closer to the hard body half laying on his own. He could tell the other man was still asleep, but didn't he owe it to the other man to give him some pleasure for helping to comfort him? He shut out the part of his brain telling him he was being irrational and pressed his palms on the man's back, pressing into the strong flesh. He rubbed down Isshin's broad back, pulling a moan from the man. He smiled softly, burying his face into the man's neck, suckling on the flesh.
Isshin moaned, wakening slowly. He looked down to see a mop of silvery white hair and chuckled. He slipped a hand under the man and pulled him closer, eliciting a moan from the man. He smirked and tightened his hold slightly, loving the little gasp he received. With his other hand, he lightly ran touches up and down Ryuken's side, placing open mouthed kisses to his temple.
Ryuken arched into the man, moaning loudly. He felt a pair of slightly chapped lips roughly press against his neck and almost screamed. "Isshin!" He could barely breathe, he felt so much pleasure. It had been far too long since he last allowed himself to feel any sort of sexual pleasure.
Isshin groaned. "Damn, Ryu, yer killin' me here," he said hoarsely against pale skin. He pressed his very evident erection against the other man's to prove his point. He almost laughed at how much noise he was pulling from the man's throat. He slid a hand down to cup the man's obvious arousal.
Ryuken bucked into the man's hand, wordlessly screaming as he came, seeing white. He blushed profusely and curled into the man's neck, whispering, "Gomenasai, I don't…Gomenasai. Gomenasai, gomenasai, gomenasai." He shook, scared the man would hate him for being so sensitive. He fought to not freak out, but it was hard not to hyperventilate.
Isshin chucked and pulled Ryuken back. "Hey, look at me," he whispered, trying to capture the man's gaze. Once he had it, he reached a hand up and cupped the man's cheek. "It's perfectly all right. Knowing you, you haven't done this ever since she died, so you're overly sensitive," he murmured, flicking a finger over the man's clothed nipple.
Ryuken moaned loudly, amazed as he started hardening again. "Isshin…I-" He was unsure of how far this would go.
Isshin cut him off, "Don't worry, we won't do anything more." He pressed against the man, kissing him. "Don't worry," he whispered.
