*I don't own any of the characters in this story. They all belong to their rightful owners at Dream Works, Walt Disney Studios, and Pixar.

**I do own Katelynn Odden and Chronos G. Reaper, however

Katelynn had no idea what was going on. Rapunzel, Jamie, and Hiccup were talking in thin air. It was like they were having a conversation with an invisible and inaudible ghost. They kept saying: "Merida" and "Jack"…she could recall Jamie mentioning these names before but just…who are they?

"Pst."

Katelynn hummed curiously at the sound and looked to the right. She gulped down a startled gasp at the man dressed in black and white and had multiple piercings. "Jeez, don't startle someone like that!"

The man just waved her off. "Bah, it's not like you can hurt me, Birna."

Katelynn eyebrows raised. "How do you know my first name? The only people that should know my first name are my family and Jamie."

He shrugged. "Eh…I have my ways…oh, name's Chronos, by the way."

"Chronos?" Katelynn repeated. "Like the Titan?"

"Kind of…Ancient Greeks were the closest civilization to get me." Chronos shook his head. "But enough of me…let's talk about you."

"Me?" Katelynn scoffed. "That's hilarious. Jamie, can you believe this guy?" she turned her head back to Jamie but Jamie didn't respond. "…Jamie? Okay, Jamie, this isn't funny. Why are you giving me the 'you're dead to me' treatment? James Jackson Bennett!"

"He can't hear you." Chronos mumbled. He then added, "And me also."

"Why? Why not?"

"You're unconscious."

"No. No, I'm not."

"Uh…yeah. Yeah, you are. And not only that…they can't see me, either."

Katelynn just stared at the man like he was crazy. "I-I'm not unconscious. I'm full blown awake. See? I'm talking to you."

Chronos rolled his eyes. "You passed out about as soon as these mortals took their attention off you because of all of your injuries…by the way, you don't feel any pain anymore, don't you?"

Katelynn opened her mouth to argue with Chronos but she shut her mouth. He was right her pain was no longer there. She slowly lifted her arm up, making her eyes widen with shock. She wasn't able to do that by herself without crying tears of agony moments ago. Even with help, it was still nail-bitingly painful. "But-but—! That doesn't make any sense!"

"Actually, it does…you still don't have a clue on who I am, right?"

Katelynn nodded honestly.

Chronos groaned. "I swear the human race gets more blunt over the years…my full name is Chronos G. Reaper."

"What does the "G" stand for?"

"Grimm. Spelled with two "m"'s."

"Grimm…Reaper…? Like the…?"

"Grim Reaper? Yep, that'd be me. Oh, and I'm also the Lord of Time."

Katelynn spaced off as she said aloud, "Grim Reaper…does that mean I'm…?"

"Sort of. You're what I like to call 'on the border line'. One minute you can be breathing and the next, you aren't. Your clock's ticking."

"So are you coming to take me away?" Katelynn spat. "Because I won't let you."

Chronos burst into laughter. It made Katelynn jump slightly. "Oh, trust me, sweetie, if I wanted to take you to…you'd be gone before you even entered the Tower."

"Why are you keeping me alive, then?" Katelynn questioned. "Why am I so important?"

"Because, Birna…" he rose to his feet. "You are part of the Legend."

"I beg your pardon?" Katelynn got off the bed. "And stop calling me that."

"Calling you what?"

"Birna. I prefer Katelynn."

Chronos thought for a second. "Let's see…no." he clutched onto the small hourglass that hung from his neck. "It's time to make you Believe again."

"In what? What are you talking about? And what do you mean by 'legend'!?"

Chronos ignored her and clapped his hands twice. Katelynn yelped when blood red sand swirled around herself and Chronos. He smirked darkly at her. "Even thought the timeline is out of place...we're going to retrace the steps of the Four."

Katelynn opened her eyes hesitantly. When they fully opened her eyes her jaw dropped to the ground. "…Where are we…?"

Chronos started walking forward as he answered. "The Highlands of Scotland, 10th century: Middle Ages."

Katelynn crossed her arms furiously. "Why are we in Scotland?!"

"Calm down there, youngster…" Chronos turned around to face Katelynn. "I already told you: to retrace the Four to help you Believe."

"What four?" Katelynn inquired. She was started to get irritated with Chronos. She hated it when no one gave her a straight, clear answer.

"Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter?" Chronos started to walk off again. "You're a bit daft, Birna…but I expected that. After all, I don't blame you. An old mad chap just took you back in time."

"…You talk weird."

"And as do you." Chronos waved Katelynn to follow him. "No need to gander! Chop, chop, Viking! We got an archery competition for the maiden's heart to attend!"

"Wha—? Hey, wait up!" Katelynn took down the hill after Chronos.

"Not slowing down! Leg it if you want to keep up with me, Viking!"

Katelynn made strangle gestures in the air towards Chronos in frustrated way before she followed him down the hill.
