Chapter 50: Where Do We Stand?

A/n: Here is what you guys have been waiting for since the last chapter was updated, I hope it'll besatisfying to you.

A/n2: I forgot to write this for the last chapter, the song Sydney sang is called "Kalle Theodore" It's a song from a movie I watch a lot when I was seven called "Pippi på de sju haven." and it was sang by Pippi Longstocking (just letting you guys know)

Paige's Pov-

I looked into Emily's eyes as she looked at me.

Come on Emily, start crying, scream at me, yell at me, anything just say something.

I knew Emily was very conflicted, but I needed her to say something to let me know how she felt.

"Hey what's going on here…? The Bat!" A new henchman walked through the door and I quickly put my mask back on.

The henchman aimed a gun at me and Emily, I grabbed Emily (Who still was stunned) by her shoulders and pushed her to cover, then the bullet hit me in the chest and I fell to the ground.

The henchman walked up to me and I jumped back to my feet, surprising him with a heavy uppercut to his jaw. He didn't expected that this suite was bulletproof. The punch made him take a few steps back then I ran up to him and wrapped my arm around his neck and used my own weight to trip him so he landed face first on the ground.

I got up and turned my attention to Emily, she was standing behind me with her mouth wide opened and she struggled to speak.

"You… you're alive?" she said and I didn't really know how I could answer that.

"Ok, I know you guys are happy to be together again but in case you guys forgotten we're still tied up here." Hanna said breaking the silence.

"Hanna!" Spencer hissed but Emily just raised her hand to her head and walked past me.

"She's right we need to get out of here now, before something else happens." Emily said as she tried to untie Spencer, she struggled with the thick ropes and I walked up to Hanna and started to untie her.

Emily didn't wanted to talk about us now and I didn't blamed her, she had been chased like a prey, captured by A's men, but seeing me alive seems to be her biggest shock.

"Why didn't you kissed her?" Hanna asked as I tried to untie her.

I didn't answer, I had waited for Emily to make the next move when she removed my mask, I expected her to cry, yell or just say something but she didn't say anything and that was the worse since I couldn't tell how she really felt when she saw me.

After a while I gave up on untying Hanna since the rope was too thick form my fingers so I used a bat rang and cut through the ropes to free Hanna.

I turned my attention to Emily who was still struggling to untie Spencer. I wanted to walk over and talk to her, but it felt like I'd only confuse her more.

"Here." I say to Hanna and hand her one off my batrangs so she can cut of the ropes.

"I'll go on ahead and make sure it's clear." I said to Hanna who looked confused at me before she started to cut Caleb free.

I walked out of the room and as soon as I closed the door behind me, I had to lean against a wall.

Oh, Emily. Why can I just walk up and talk to you?

I was just about to cry when I saw another one off A's henchmen. He walk holding a radio trying to reach one of the guys I had knocked out. I tried to fight crying but tears still fell from my eyes.

I very silently dropped down behind him and sneaked silently behind him.

"Guys is anyone there? Why aren't you responding?" He said in his comm radio.

"What's happened?" He said angered and put his comm radio in his pocket, that's when I put my arms around his neck and started to strangle him so he'd pass out.

Once he was seconds away from passing out I leaned to his ear and whispered "I attacked them."

Then I saw that he was holding a key that was labeled bus keys. I stole the keys and walked back to the room where everyone else was.

Once I went through the door I saw that now everyone was untied.

"It's all clear now." I said walking towards Emily who still looked conflicted.

"I got some keys to a bus, it should be big enough for all of you." I continued.

"I know where the bus is, I can drive." Ezra said and I handed him the keys.

I looked over to Emily once again and I could see that she was avoiding making eye contact with me. Please Emily just say something.

"Ok, you drive back to my place it'll be the safest place to be." I said and grabbed my grappling hook and aimed for the now broken roof window.

"You're not coming with us?" Aria asked.

"No, I'll be on the stealth bike in case any more of A's men would show up." I said and I used my grappling hook to get through the window.

I stayed on the roof and sat down to cry. I hated this, I was back now, I know this is what Emily wanted and I wanted to be with her to but now she won't even make eye contact to me. I felt tears falling from my cheeks since once I had given up on fighting A sucked but what Emily now did to me was a thousand times worse.

I didn't expected us to just kiss and go back to the way we had been before but I at least thought Emily would be happy that I was alive or scream at me for being gone for such long time.

I stop crying when I saw the others leaving the building then I jumped down on the ground and mounted the stealth bike, even if Emily wasn't going to talk to me I was at least going to make sure she'd be safe. It didn't mattered if she wanted me in her life or not, I wasn't going to let anything bad happened to her, not for as long as I was breathing.

Emily's Pov-

When I had seen Paige's face I got stunned, I didn't believed that she was alive. I still thought I was dreaming and that I'd wake up and Paige wouldn't be here.

I knew that I had seen Paige twice now but I still didn't believe that anything off this was for real.

"Emily, let's go." Spencer said and I snapped out of my half dreaming.

As we were on our way out from this building I was still not sure on what just had happened.

"Emily why aren't you happy?" Hanna suddenly said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Paige, she is alive and she just saved us." Hanna said.

"I don't know, I just don't know." I answered.

"Come on Em, Paige was standing right in front of you and you didn't say two words to her." Hanna said.

"Hanna." Aria and Spencer said.

"What? Emily's greatest wish has come true and she doesn't seem to care." Hanna said and Spencer reached over and smacked the back of Hanna's head.

We kept walking until we got outside the building, then Ezra showed us the way to a bus that looked like a repainted school bus.

"I wonder where that thing had gone." Ezra said as he unlocked the bus's door and we all entered the bus.

Ezra opened the glove compartment and pulled out a black blinking box and smashed it.

"It was a tracker, if this thing was stolen A had tracked it down." Ezra said.

"If it got stolen?" Toby said sarcastically.

"Just shut up and sit down." Ezra said and started the bus as we all took a seat.

Ezra drove slowly as we were heading to the bat cave.

"I can't believe I'll finally get to see this so called bat cave." Hanna said as she sat down next to me.

"Yeah, you'll probably not believe your eyes, I know that Caleb didn't when he saw it for the first time." I answered.

"You mean when Paige showed it to him." Hanna said.

"Yeah, when that happened." I said avoiding saying Paige's name.

"Ok, what's wrong Em?" Hanna said.

"I think I need to talk." I answered.

"Yes you do, but not to me." Hanna said and got up to sit beside Caleb.

I looked out from a window and saw that it was very dark outside, like the night Paige had disappeared. Then I looked around in the bus and saw Hanna and Caleb sitting close to each other and Toby and Spencer was holding each other tightly and Toby was kissing Spencer's head. They were all very happy to be alive and with the person they loved. Why didn't I feel like that? I kept looking out the window, Paige had said that she was going alone. She had said that she was going to make sure that the road was safe but I knew it was to avoid me, because if she was in the bus we'd have awkward silence between the two of us.

A few minutes later we had reached the bat cave, Paige had removed her mask and was sitting by the computer. Once we got out of the bus Hanna and Toby were both in awe as they saw all equipment that was in the cave.

"Hey, Tobs. You've got to see this Caleb said and showed Toby the simulator where Paige and Caleb would train their fighting skills. Spencer showed Hanna Paige's bat suites and Ezra and Aria sat down by the bus and leaned in close to each other.

Everyone was happy as they saw the bat cave but I wasn't sure on how to feel, it was like I went through a thousand emotions at the same time. I walked up to Paige and she didn't turned to me, she pretended that she was focusing on the bat computer but I knew she could see my reflection on the screen.

"Paige, can we talk?" I asked.

"Yes." Paige said and turned to me.

"Can we be alone?" I asked and Paige led me up the stairs, we went to the kitchen since it was the closest room, Paige was still wearing her bat suite but not the mask.

"What do you want to talk about?" Paige asked looking a little sad.

"I want to talk about these last few mounts." I said and Paige dipped her head in shame.

"I thought you were dead, ever since that night, I cried every night and now you're back and it feels like a dream." I said.

"Emily, this isn't a dream. I'm back for good." Paige said.

"I don't know how to feel now, I thought you were dead all this time but you've been alive." I said as I started to cry.

"I love you and I prayed every night that I'd get one more chance to see you again." I continued and now Paige was crying to.

"There is no excuse to what I made you go through when I had you thinking I was dead, but there didn't passed one second where I wasn't thinking about you." Paige said.

"I love you Paige, more than I thought was possible and for a while I hated you for it, When I thought you had died I was almost crippled by the pain of losing you and now when you're back I got a feeling that you'll soon go after A again but I can't lose you again." I said felling my tears roll down my cheeks.

"Emily, all the pain you've felt is my fault and I'm not going to rest until I've made up for every second that you were in pain, I don't expect you to take me back but tell me if there is any chance for us or did it die that night?" Paige asked me.

"I never stop loving you and I probably never will, but A is still around and once she hears Batgirl is back she'll start chasing you until you're dead and my heart can't handle losing you again." I said feeling a pain that was like getting stabbed by daggers over and over again.

"If it will make you take me back, I'll stop. I'll stop being Batgirl once and for all if it'll make you feel better." Paige said without hesitating.

"You'll do that for me?" I asked.

"If you'd asked me, I'd given up on being Batgirl in a heartbeat." Paige said and now I felt like I was forcing Paige to give up everything, she cared for me more than anything.

I ran up to Paige and hugged her tightly. "Paige I want to be with you, please never leave me again." I cried as I buried my head into her shoulder.

"I never will, I love you too much." Paige answered.

"So what will it be, is she still going to be Batgirl, I mean A is still around?" We heard a voice and Hanna and the other girls was standing at the door opening.

"HANNA!" I screamed at her.

"Pagiey did say she'd stop being Batgirl if you told her and since A has taken over the entire town it'd be very selfish of you to tell Paige to stop now." Hanna continued.

"HANNA!" Me, Aria and Spencer yelled.

"I'm not going to be Batgirl if it's too much for your heart to handle." Paige said.

"Every night you've been out I've been worried, but now with A in charge over the entire Rosewood I'll be even more worried. If you really love me you'll keep being Batgirl until A is in jail." I said as I looked into Paige's eyes.

Paige smiled "I've survived A's best attempt to kill me and I'm still alive, the next time I'll fight A and I'm not going to lose." Paige said.

Hanna was cheering like she was watching one of my swimming competition and Aria and Spencer was applauding.

I walked up to Paige and grabbed her by the shoulders "You better kick A's ass." I pressed my lips against hers and it got heated quickly, after months without seeing her I was kissing her for the first time in a lifetime. Neither one of us wanted to break the kiss, I started to suck on Paige's bottom lip to gain access which she gave me quickly, our tongues me and started to dance in each other's mouths. I moved my hand to Paige's stomach. I traced my hand up and down feeling her breathing.

"Um, guys we're still here." Aria said and we broke our kiss and we both blushed in embarrassment.

"Good thing we are here otherwise you guys would have sex right now." Hanna said and Spencer and Aria looked sternly at her.

"How is stopping us from having sex a good thing?" Paige quickly whispered to me and I started to smile and even laugh and I wasn't pretending to be happy, I was overjoyed to have Paige back in my life and I was happier that I'd been in months.
