Their vision was blurred when they opened their eyes. But all they could see was chilling darkness. There was hardly any of the moon's frozen light shining in. They were disoriented. They were confused. They were scared.

Jack was the first to speak up into the dark, "Hello…?"

There was a long pause.

"Jack?" That was Rapunzel's voice. "Is that you?"

"Yes, it's me!" Jack shifted to the general direction of Rapunzel's voice. She sounded a far ways off, like if she was in another room. He noticed that his hands were bound behind his back and so were his ankles, making it difficult for him to move. "Rapunzel, is anyone with you?"

"Um…" Jack heard her shuffle around, assuming she was tied up as well. "I don't think…oh, hey! Hiccup's with me!"

"Is he awake?"

"Yeah, I'm awake…" Hiccup's voice answered. "Gods, what happened? I was putting the final touches on Toothless' tail and the next thing I know, I wake up in here."

"Same with me. All I can remember was that demon bear thing chasing me, Jamie, and Merida…" Panic struck Jack. "Is Jamie in there? Or Merida?"

More shuffling. "No. It's only me and Rapunzel."

"Is anyone with you, Jack?"

Jack glanced around. He groaned in frustration and rattled his head, trying to make his vision clear. "I can't tell…my eyesight's all messed up. Besides, it's too dark in here, anyways. I can only make out myself…kind of."

Rapunzel's voice said, "I can't see anything either. I was able to tell Hiccup was here because I felt something roll onto my hair and I poked him."

"Smooth," Jack commented. "There might be someone in here with me. I just can't tell…wait. My…oh, no. My staff's gone!" More panic flooded him like a river.

"Are you sure it's not in there with you?" Hiccup asked.

"I told you, I can't see anything!"

"Alright, alright…just don't panic, Jack. I bet it's close by…"

Jack highly doubted that. "Do you guys have any idea where we might be?"

"No," Rapunzel answered with a sigh. "I have no clue where we're at."

"I don't know about you, but I think we're in the school," Hiccup said. He explained, "Makes sense to me. Rapunzel and I were in here and you were heading to the school."

"It's that brat. She got us into this mess…"

"She was with us the entire time," Rapunzel assured him. "I was with her when…when my Mother showed up. She tried to take me away and after that…I woke up to your voice."

"But something's wrong here…it has the Negatives written all over it. Me seeing Mor'du…you, your mom…then waking up in the school's shop." It hit him. Jack said quietly, "They're rounding us up."

Rapunzel's' voice was shaking, "If that's true…"

"Then we have to get out of here and find the others."

Merida groaned as she lifted her head off the cold hard ground. She pressed her palm against her forehead. She looked around to see absolutely nothing. She shot up to her feet and went to grab her bow. Her teeth clenched when her hand went through empty air. She outstretched her hands out in front of her and stumbled through the thick darkness. Merida fell against a wall, making her feel around. "Jack? Jamie?" she called into the darkness. Goosebumps came up on her skin when she just heard her voice echo back against the walls. She felt a switch under her fingers. She flipped it. The lights flickered above her head, illuminating the dark room. Merida made a started yelp when she saw unfinished sculptures staring all around her. Some were missing an arm, half of its head, or its whole head. The light beams above her head exploded, short circuiting. It left only one lone light bulb working, flickering occasionally. Merida could feel her heart race as the light flickered on the creepy statute parts. She banged on the door. "Let me out!"

She jumped when she heard a click under her hand. She hesitantly grasped onto the door knob and turned it. The door creaked open, revealing a dark hallway. Slowly, Merida stepped into the hall. She jumped when the door slammed behind her. She jiggled the knob, but it was locked. Her heart began to beat faster. She gulped and took a deep breath. "Calm down…ya have to be brave…" Her heart slowly went back to normal. She straightened up and said to herself, "Ya have to find everyone, Merida." She ran down the hall.

Jack finally found a door to the room he was trapped in. He slammed his shoulder against the door, making it rattle by its hinges. He repeated the action until the old weak door gave in to the force he was pounded on it. He yelped in surprise when it gave way under him and took him down with it.

"What was that?!" Rapunzel's voice shouted.

"I got out!" Jack yelled in triumph. He turned around and called in the darkness, "Rapunzel, Hiccup! Keep talking! I need to find your door."

"I thought we were right next to you…" Hiccup said with confusion in his voice.

Jack felt against the wall. "I thought so too…" His hands went over a solid wall. "You should be right here…"

"Jack…what's taking so long? We can hear you right in front of us."

"There's no door here!"

Rapunzel suggested, "Maybe it's somewhere else?"

Jack shook his head. "No…all there is is hallway…" He returned to the room he was in. "Maybe there's a door leading to you in here…" he began his search again.

Hiccup felt against the walls, as well leaning against it for support. "There's gotta be a door here somewhere…" he stopped when he heard a click under his foot. He hopped backwards and yelped when the wall gave way under him.

"Hiccup!" Jack helped him up. "Look's like you guys were in a secret room…what kind of school is this?"

"I don't know but I'll tell you this, I want to leave as fast as possible," Hiccup told him. He felt Jack put his arm behind his neck. Then he felt Rapunzel do the same on the other side. "Thanks guys…"

"No problem, Hic." Jack said with a smile. "Come on, let's find everyone else—"

"Where do you think you're going?"

The three froze and slowly turned around to see an old woman wrapped in black. Her face was shadowed by her hood. They backed up slowly when they saw a red eye suddenly glow in the darkness. They screamed when they heard an all mighty roar.

Merida froze at the sound of screaming. "Guys?!" she turned around at the direction of the three screams. Suddenly, she felt something cover her mouth. She screamed and got surrounded by darkness.
