Chapter 59: Ambushed

A/N: I'm so so so so so sorry I haven't updated this story I've sucked at figuring out what to write.

Paige's Pov-

Emily had been visiting her mom in the hospital every day in the afternoon since she heard that Pam would survive, now she just sits there and talks to her and waits for her to wake up.

I couldn't help but worry about Emily, there is no telling when Deathstroke will try to kidnap her again. When Emily got home to my mansion I walked up to her to make sure she was ok.

"Paige relax I'm fine." Emily said.

"I just get worried when you're out alone." I said.

"Now you know how I feel every night." Emily said.

I guess there was some truth in what she had said but I was Batgirl and I had prepared for years to become who I am now. While Emily is just a girl who has a big target on her back now when Deathstroke is after her, but I'd never say that to her.

"And just like you, I always come back to the girl I love." Emily said and I gave her a soft kiss.

"How is Pam?" I asked.

"Same as yesterday but I know she'll wake up any day now." Emily said, very hopeful.

"Can I borrow your shower?" Emily asked.

"You don't have to ask about that." I said.

"I know; I just don't want to rake any advantage to your hospitality." Emily said.

"Trust me, you never have to worry about that." I said and Smiled at Emily.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door.

"Did you invite you friends over?" I asked.

"No, I haven't" Emily said, sounding just as surprised as I was.

I opened the door and two police officers were standing by the door.

"Officers? Something wrong?" I asked.

"We're here for Emily Fields." One of the police officers said.

"Yes, that's me." Emily said and walked up next to me.

"A few days ago your mother told the entire police force to keep an eye on you in case something would happen to you."

"In other words, you're going to be watched by us 24/7 and there will be a patrol car outside your house at all times" the police officers explained.

"Ok, I understand." Emily said and looked like she had been kicked in the gut.

"Was that all you had to say?" I said hinting that I wanted the policemen to leave.

"That's all for now." One of the police said and they went back to the car.

"Hey, are you ok." I said turning to Emily who looked like she went through tons of feeling at the same time.

"It's like they already think she is dead." Emily said.

I didn't say anything, I just opened my arms and Emily ran right into me and started to cry.

"It's ok Emily." I said as I patted her back.

"She isn't dead so why do they behave like it?" Emily sobbed into my shoulder.

"She won't, she's very strong and she loves you too much to leave you." I said.

"They should guard the hospital, in case Deathstroke goes after my mom again." Emily said sounding worried.

"They won't have to, because I'm not going to let him harm anyone else I care about." I said.

"You're going after him tonight?" Emily asked sounding worried about me.

"Yes, I can't let him hunt you." I said.

"Please be safe." Emily said as she hugged me and rested her head on my shoulder.

"I promise I'll come back." I said.

"Please do… I love you and I can't lose anyone else." Emily said.

"I'd never do anything to hurt you." I said.

Later that night:

I had just put on my bat suite and I was just about to leave to find Deathstroke.

"Here." Emily said and handed me my mask.

I accepted it and put it on. "I promise you that I'll find him." I said.

"What if he comes here where you're not here?" Emily asked.

"Hide in the bat cave and contact me, you can invite your friends over if you feel lonely." I said.

"I'd preferred if you stayed with me." Emily said.

"I know, but I have to do this… for you." I said and jumped on the stealth bike and drove out in the night to find Deathstroke as I drove out I pressed the cloak button so the police wouldn't see me as I drove right past them.

Deathstroke was going to answer for what he did to Pam.

Emily's Pov-

I had called the girls and asked them to come over to keep me company. I didn't like that Paige wasn't here and since I was in her house it just felt even stranger.

I knew Paige was doing this for me and I know that she was the only one that could help me but I wanted her to stay with me.

I heard a knock on the door and once I opened it I saw that it was the girls.

"Hi, why are there a police car outside?" Aria asked.

"I'm being protected; those guys are there to make sure I won't get kidnapped." I said and then I explained everything to them.

"Wow, I didn't even know they could do that." Spencer said.

"I don't think they can, but my girlfriend is a vigilante I don't really feel like questioning what's legal or illegal." I said.

"Good point." Spencer said.

"So, how is Toby's training going?" I asked.

"He's getting better, soon he could help your Paige and the other guys fighting A." Spencer answered.

"Then you'll want him to stay home." I said and Aria and Hanna nodded.

"I guess you're right." Spencer said.

We went to the kitchen where Spencer showed that she had brought a bottle of tequila and I got a pair of short glass that we poured the drink in.

"Hey, that's unfair you know I can't drink." Hanna said.

"Relax Han, I didn't forget about you." Spencer said and picked up a bottle of apple juice.

"This is so unfair." Hanna pouted.

"You'd expect Paige to have a wine collection." Spencer said.

"Yeah, I should ask her about that." I said and be both took a drink.

"You should, those girls' night we could have then would be incredible." Spencer said.

We took a few more drinks until we all except for Hanna got a bit tipsy and then Spencer started to laugh.

"What is it?" I asked.

"We just got drunk with cops outside the window." Spencer laughed and I started to laugh to and soon Arai joined in on the laughter.

"Ok, that is a little funny." I said.

We sat down and waited for the alcohol to star wear off.

"You really hate it when Paige is out being Batgirl?" Spencer asked.

"Yeah, I know why she does that but I'd have sex with her every sixth hour if that meant she'd skip being Batgirl for a night." I said.

"If you keep that promise Paige might retire from being Batgirl." Spencer said. "So, how long has it been since you and Paige… you know." Spencer said as she gave me a teasing smile.

"That's none of your business Spencer Hastings." I said.

"Ooooh, that means it's been too long." Hanna said.

"Shut up." I mumbled, but they were right it had been a while since Paige and I had been making love, but with the circumstances we have had we had never made the time for each other.

"Do you think Paige will be able to catch this Kill-touch-guy?" Hanna asked

"It's Deathstroke, and yeah I think she will, she's done it before." I said.

"Yeah, but I'm not sure she'll be as lucky as last time, I mean how do we know that Deathstroke haven't improved his fighting style or gotten better weapons?" Hanna asked.

"Paige is improving her fighting style all the time, if anyone can defeat Deathstroke it's her." I said confident in my girlfriend.

Then there was a hard kick to the door and before anyone of us could get to the door it was kicked down. Some masked men stormed in and one of them was holding a sack in his hand the looked like it contained something heavy and it was dripping.

"There you are." One of the men said.

"I warn you, there are police officers outside they will charge in any second now." Spencer said.

"You mean these guys?" The guy with the sack said and opened the sack and out came two severed heads.

"Oh god." Hanna gasped as we all started to walk away from the men.

"Take whatever you want in the house but please don't hurt us." I said hoping they would leave me and my friends alone.

"This isn't a break in little girl, this is a kidnapping." One of the guys said and they started to walk towards us.

One grabbed Hanna by her arm but she quickly took out a Taser gun and gave the guy a good shock.

"Man the bitch is packed." One of the guys said and everyone back away from us.

"I didn't agree to this." Another said and they started to back away.

I was surprised that they had decapitated those two police officers since they were obviously just cowards with big mouths.

As they ran out I turned to Hanna and asked. "When did you get that?"

Hanna smiled and said "Caleb gave it to me, at first I thought he was being too overprotective but now I' glad he convinced me to bring it."

"Yeah, I'll say" Aria said.

"Ok, I should try to contact Paige and let her know what just…" Spencer said but then we heard gunshots coming from outside and then we heard footsteps coming towards us.

We all froze in fear as Deathstroke appeared.

"This is what I get when I hire guys from the street." He said and looked at me.

"You're coming with me!" He said determent.

Hanna held up her Taser gun but before she had any time to react Deathstroke used his katana and cut straight through the Taser.

"I cut the heads of those police officers with one swing, what do you think I'll do if I get mad." He said to threaten me.

"Emily don't, he'll kill you." Aria said.

"And if I don't he will kill you guys." I said.

As I walked up to Deathstroke, hoping that he'd leave my friends alone.

"Not so fast!" I heard a very dark voice coming from behind Deathstroke.

Deathstroke turned around and I could see who was standing behind him, it was Batgirl.

"I've been expecting you, Batgirl." Deathstroke said and holstered his katana and cracked his fists to show that he was more than willing to fight.

"You know that I've beaten you before and I can do it again." Batgirl said.

"I remember, that was all I've been thinking of since I lost to you." Deathstroke said.

"I'll beat you again, so leave while you can." Batgirl said.

"No, I've been waiting for too long to just leave now." Deathstroke said then he ran up to Batgirl and threw a right hook that hit her in her gut so she dropped to her knees holding her stomach in pain.

Deathstroke took a few steps back expecting Batgirl to jump up to her feet and fight back, but instead she just grabbed a table and groaned in pain as she struggled to get back up.

She looked to Deathstroke as he walked up to her and threw another punch at her, this one hit her on the left side of her head and she fell to the floor.

"No." I said worried that Paige wasn't fighting back.

"I lost to you, but I'm starting to believe that it was just luck when you beat me." Deathstroke said as Batgirl coughed up some blood.

"I'm going to enjoy this." He said then he kicked Batgirl as she was on her knees and she fell on her back and then she wasn't moving.

"No." I said as I looked at Batgirl lying on her back now moving.

"Don't worry, she's alive. I'm going to make sure she's alive when I unmask her in public." Deathstroke said and threw Batgirl up over his shoulder.

"Come with me." He said and aimed a gun at me.

I couldn't believe that this was happening, Paige had not only lost a fight she had been destroyed. I looked worried at her as Deathstroke lead me to something that looked like a tank from a sci-fi movie.

"Get in." He said.

I looked back at Paige's mansion, probably for the last time then I entered the tank and then Deathstroke threw Batgirl next to me before he slammed the door shut.

A/N2: I know, worse fight ever. I pormice I'll make the net chapter and I did have a reason why Batgirl lost that fight
