A Hylian's Harem

Epilogue #2

Thief's Honour

The Gerudo Fortress was alive with festivities. The race of thieves danced, ate, and drank to the roaring flames around their home, and played alluring music. The night was young and their spirits were raised.

Even from one of the most secluded rooms carved into the mountain-side, Link could hear the music and laughter. He had already danced with not only his wife and second-in-command to the Gerudo's leader, Nabooru, but what felt to be the majority of their tribe.

After all, this was their wedding night – after nearly a year of courting the vixen redhead, Link and Aveil had gotten married, much to the joy of the Gerudo – and while marriage was foreign to the race of thieves, the thief-commander knew of it from Hylian customs and wanted something similar; an event, witnessed by her sisterhood, and an exchange of vows to signify their union.

And to seal the deal, both had exchanged a gift; Aveil gave the Hylian thumb-sized pouch containing strands of her fiery-red hair, tightly sealed, and Link, in turn, had done the same.

Forever possessing a piece of each other, the thief and the hero were now "married" by Gerudo standards – the first ones to ever do so in Gerudo history.

But despite the music and the festivities outside, Link's mind was elsewhere.

It was hot even as the night winds swept gently through the tunnels. Throaty moans were drowned out by the beating of drums, the wild tunes of flutes, and strings of harps.

Warm, passionate, and a driving desire had the two inseparable on top of the queen-sized bed, surrounded by pillows and veils, golden and crimson, and a blazing fireplace. Sweat ran down their bodies and their pulses raced as they consummated their marriage with unceremoniously rutting.

Link looked at his wife through eyes dimmed with lust. It remembered him of the festival when Aveil had danced for him; her movements were akin to a wild dance, and her hair – a curtain of fiery-crimson – swayed like roaring flames. Malleable mounds bounced hypnotically in front of him, capped with mocha nipples. He thrusted roughly as he held her close, driven by love and lust for his thief-wife.

Time was irrelevant. Whether it been minutes or hours, they didn't know or care.

"I love you," the redhead said and draped an arm over the Hylian. "I can't believe I finally have you."

Link smiled and looked into his wife's golden eyes. Judging from the light filtering in through a hole in the cavern wall, it was in the middle of the night. Some of the tribeswomen were still up though the majority of the festivities had calmed down.

"It does seem surreal, doesn't it?" Link admitted. "But it's as real as it can get."

"I'm almost more surprised that we are even married – that's a first in my race's history, you know." She gently laughed and rested her head against the blonde's chest. "I'm glad that I saved myself for a man like you. It makes the whole marriage-thing a lot more ´romantic´ in a way."

Link blushed and sheepishly rubbed his neck. "I… I am honoured to have been your first."

"Save the modesty," Aveil said. "That part is over. We are lovers now – life-mates. Our first time was special, but we will be rather busy from now on."

The Hero gave her a puzzled glance. "…When you mean ´busy´, Aveil-"

"I mean that you can expect to stay in bed more often than not," the thief-commander proudly stated. "Our tribe needs to grow, after all."

All colours were drained from Link's face. He knew the Gerudo race relied on Hylian males in order to procreate, but the idea of basically become a breeding bull was ludicrous. "Uhm… Aveil…"

She laughed. "Relax, darling. While I'm not ready to become a mother just yet, it's only fair that I'll let you know ahead of time." She winked at him, full lilac lips curling into a smirk. "I feel sorry for my sisters who have to capture lesser men for a single night."

Link chuckled and was about to tell Aveil of how harsh she was, when shadows were cast on the floor and the lovers turned to the source; a number of Gerudo guards and craftswomen stood by the doorway, ogling.

"You have nerves to disrupt our honeymoon," Aveil chastised. She did not look happy. "State your business or leave."

"At ease, sister," one of them said. "We just happened to overhear your conversation. If you're not ready to become a matron at the time, perhaps we could introduce ourselves to the Hero…"

"Aye," another added. "You said so yourself; our tribe needs to grow."

Link was flabbergasted – the tribe were in on it as well? Perhaps moving here had been a mistake, he thought, but Aveil rose up on the bed, her hair akin to a waving flame.

"Out of the question!" she yelled, hands on hip. "Link is my man – no others! Get out of our sight this instant unless you wish to be introduced to my blades!"

As visibly taken aback as the tribeswomen were, they quietly left but not before they winked the Hylian. "We'll see you when your guard-dog is away, Hero."

They snickered and left. Aveil glared at them until they were out of sight, then turned towards her husband; the look in her eyes making the hair on the nape of his neck standing on edge.

"Don't even think about doing anything with those harpies, darling," she said. "I won't forgive you if you do."

Link managed a smile and gently pulled Aveil close, locking his lips with hers. "I wouldn't worry. I chose to marry you because I love you." He kissed her again on the cheek. "I love you, Aveil."

"Mmm…" the mocha-skinned woman purred. "And I love you, my darling."

In spite of the thief's claims, their family grew by only three members. The trio of sisters were said to be courageous like their father, but unfortunately ended up disliking any other men. Their god-mother, the exalted Nabooru, was said to be shamelessly spoiling them.

To the Gerudo commander's fury, her fellow tribeswomen frequently made advances on her Hero-husband. Despite this continuous occurrence, Link remained loyal to Aveil, and the two lived happily together. Link also made sure to better the relationships between Hylians and Gerudos to the point that the two nations began to trade, making the desert-habitants' lives more bearable. The couple lived a long, fulfilling life.
