Chapter 66: The Final Fight

A/N: This is the final chapter of this story, I hope you'll like it.

Paige's Pov-

I was in my Bat suit and I was ready to fight A. Maya had kidnapped Emily and all my friends and I knew I had to save them fast or else it'd be too late.

"Paige, you can't fight A." Pam said trying to talk me out of it, but I just ignored her. I just walked upstairs.

"Paige are you listening to me." Pam said and grabbed my arm.

"Let go of me." I said angered that Pam had told Maya my secret.

"Please Paige, listen to me. I had no choice Maya said she'd kill Emily if I didn't told her everything I knew about Batgirl." Pam said.

"And how did that work out for you?" I asked and she let go of my arm.

Pam was crying as she looked at me "I was wrong… I just wanted to protect my daughter." Pam said between her sobs.

"I know you hate me right now but please, save Emily." Pam said and I nodded and ran out of my mansion to find where Maya was taking Emily.

Emily's Pov-

"Get moving!" A man's voice said as I felt a gun poking my back, my hands were tied and there was a bag covering my head. I could barely see anything as I walked forward but I knew I was indoors.

"Where are my friends?" I asked.

"They are around." I heard a familiar voice answer. It was Maya.

"You won't get away with this." I said trying to hide how terrified I felt.

"Or what? Your dark knight will come and save you?" Maya said and laughed mockingly.

I was suddenly ordered to stop and to get down on my knees, as I sat like that I could hear a few footsteps and then someone removed the bag from my head.

I looked at the person standing in front of me, it was someone wearing a black hoodie and a dark ski mask that covered the person's face.

"You know who I am." The person said.

"A." I answered.

A took another quick look at me and then she turned to Maya.

"Are you sure Batgirl will come for her?" A asked.

"Don't worry, she will." Maya said.

"Or if you want you can just go find her, I mean Batgirl is…" Maya's henchmen's said when suddenly A shot him. The sound the gun had made echoed in my head as the henchman fell dead to the ground.

A looked down at the dead man and said "No spoilers." Then A snapped whit her fingers and two more henchmen dragged away the recently killed man's body.

"Anyone else who tries to tell me who Batgirl is will get the same treatment. I'm going to find out who Batgirl is when I pull of her mask from her corpse." A said then she looked back at me.

"Take her to the others." A said and two more henchmen got me up and pushed me away from A, hopefully I'd see my friends.

Paige's Pov-

I was standing on a rooftop (a place that was second nature to me now) and looked over my town. There was no trace of Maya or any of the thugs that had attacked me and Emily earlier, but I kept searching. The odds that I'd find anything was almost impossible but I wasn't going to give up.

I picked up my remote hacking device and decided to use the upgrade Spencer had fixed for me, now I was able to listen to A's henchmen's comm radios if I could find the right frequents after only a few seconds I managed to get a signal, it wasn't any of Maya's henchmen but I could hear a group of A's men and I could pinpoint their location in seconds.

I fired my grappling hook and flew into the air and then I glided through so blocks as I used my grappling hook to gain some more air as I sored over the buildings and as soon as I saw the henchmen I dived down and used my cape to slow down my fall and I landed onto of one of A's men completely knocking him out.

"It's the Bat!" one said and they all fired their guns at me, luckily my new suite was made of titanium that made the suit very resistant to bullets but it couldn't take too much.

I punched the first villain as hard as I could, the suites upgrades made it that much easier to knock him out. I jumped over to the next villain. He threw a right hook at me but I blocked it and counterattacked with a punch of my own and he had no chance of blocking it.

"Where's A?" I yelled as I threw him to the sidewalk.

"I don't know." The man said and tried to crawl away from me.

"Liar!" I yelled and I noticed in the corner of my eye that one villain was running up from behind me with a knife.

Just when he was standing behind me I dodged his knife and I grabbed his forearm and punched his shoulder so hard I might have broken his collarbone. He dropped to his knees and cried in pain.

"You're crazy" The henchman said as he tried to crawl away from me, but I ran up to him and pushed him down under my foot.

"Where is A?" I asked on final time.

"McCullers Tower, she occupied that place yesterday." The villain said and I kicked his chin so he got knocked out.

I wasn't expecting this, A was in my family's company, not that it mattered, there is where A was and there is where she probably had my friends as well. I fired my grappling hook and started to glide to my company.

Emily's Pov-

I was thrown into a room where I saw all my friends, they were all tied up and sitting on the floor.

"Emily!" Aria screamed as she saw me.

"Are you ok?" Caleb asked.

"I'm alright." I answered and as I looked around I saw that we were in something that looked like an office.

"It makes you feel like a hostage from die hard." Toby said.

"It's worse." I said. "They know Paige's secret." I said as I felt my eyes tearing up.

A big silence filled the room after I had said that.

After a longer time that I had noticed I looked up to Toby and Ezra. "Why don't you use your powers to get us free?" I asked.

"We can't, something is blocking Ezra's speed and I don't have my ring." Toby said.

"There is nothing anyone can do." Hanna said.

Then Maya walked in holding a gun.

"Ok, I'm in charge in here and here are the rules." Maya said and pointed the gun to Spencer.

"Don't talk unless if I'm talking to you." Maya said and then she aimed her gun to Hanna.

"There is no hope for anyone of you so don't try to escape." Maya said then she walked up to me and she almost pressed the gun against my forehead.

"If anyone of you tries to break the rules you'll get shot." Maya said and then she walked a few steps back and holstered her gun.

I looked over to the other gilrs, Spencer tried to hide that she was scared, Aria looked pale as a ghost and Hanna was crying since she was very worried.

I kept praying that Paige would come any second to save us, she had done it before and I knew she could do it again.

Paige's Pov-

I was just a few blocks away from my company where I knew A was. I used my cape to glide down to the ground. I walked across the street slowly to my company, I was expecting an ambush or anything but there was almost no one in sight so I entered the building the main entrance.

I knew I'd normally sneak in but I wanted them to know that I was here, I wasn't afraid of anything, not anymore.

I walked to the surveillance room where the guards had their cameras and on the way there I saw a patrol and I wasn't going to waste another second to see just how fast I could move in the suite.

I jumped out from the corner and with lightning speed I tackled down a villain and then I elbowed him before he hit the ground and then I dashed over to the next one, I grabbed him by his face and smashed his skull into the wall then I quickly rolled up to the last one that was about to fire his gun, I leaped into the air and kicked him in his face with both my feet at the same time so he fell down to the floor.

I looked at the three guys I had knocked out in less than a few seconds, the suite worked better than I thought.

I walked into the surveillance room and used my remote hacking device to hack the computers and see the surveillance film I saw that Emily and my friends were on the top floor right outside what would one day be my office. I kept looking and saw Maya, she was aiming a gun at Emily when the doors opened and Pam Fields was escorted in by two of Maya's henchmen.

Emily's Pov-

"Hey! You said you'd let me and my daughter go if I told you what you wanted to know." I heard someone yell, I looked up to see my mom who was standing and yelling at Maya as the henchmen were holding my mom back.

"I was going to until I found out that she knew who Batgirl was I just couldn't keep my promise." Maya said, disrespecting my mom.

"You gave me your word!" My mom yelled.

"Yes, and I slept with your daughter and killed your husband during the same week. You're a terrible judge of character, Pam." Maya said mockingly.

Then my mom broke loose from the henchmen's grip pulled out a gun from her coat pocket and aimed it at Maya. "Let my daughter go you bitch." She said, she quickly looked behind her at the henchmen and said "Ge back or I'll shoot her." And the henchmen took a few steps back.

"Here, let me help." Maya said and shot both henchmen with her gun, showing no remorse at all.

"You're sick." My mom said.

"What? Now there are no more henchmen to worry about." Maya said like she didn't cared at all.

"They were expandable, they all are." Maya said.

"You just killed two persons." My mom said.

"And you said you were willing to shoot me just to save her." Maya said and nodded towards me.

My mom just remained silent as her hands started to shake.

"You weren't going to shoot me, because you'd have to do it in front of your daughter." Maya said.

"Will this make it easier?" Maya said and aimed her gun at my mom.

"Now you have to shoot me, or I'll shoot you." Maya said, now she was practically forcing my mom to shoot her.

"You're not going to shoot, you know why? Because you don't have the guts to pull that trigger. You're too emotional to just do what you need to do, while I have no regret. I have killed more persons than I care to remember and I like it." Maya said.

"You're a psychopath." My mom said shocked.

Maya just shrugged and said "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Either way I know you can't pull the trigger." Maya said.

"You know what, you walked in here with no plan just a will to save your child, I respect that." Maya said and lowered her gun.

"I'll make you a deal. If you drop your gun and kick it over to me you'll get Emily. You can take her and leave Rosewood and live a safe happy life." Maya said.

My mom took a sigh and then she lowered her gun and kicked it over to Maya.

"Over there, she is all yours." Maya said and my mom walked up to me. "Don't worry sweetie we're going to be safe." My mom said when suddenly Maya fired my mom's gun in the air.

"I can't believe you actually fell for it." Maya said.

"Now I'm going to shoot you with your own gun." Maya said and laughed insanely.

"If you got anything to say to your daughter you better say it now." Maya continued.

My mom looked into my eyes and I could see she was crying in fear just like I was.

"Emmy, just know I love you and I'm sorry I messed everything up. I only did what I could to get you safe. You're my baby and I love you" My mom said.

"Oh how touching." Maya said sounding discussed. "Say goodbye." She said and I closed my eyes. I heard the gunshot followed by a scream, but it was Maya who was screaming.

I opened my eyes and saw Maya holding her hand, she was bleeding and then before I even had time to realize what was happening I saw Batgirl punching Maya so hard Maya fell unconscious to the floor.

Paige's Pov-

I looked down at Maya to make sure she was out, when I saw Pam on the security camera I knew Maya was going to trick her again so I hurried upstairs and I go there just in time to stop her before she shot Pam.

"Thank you." Pam said.

"I didn't do it for you." I said letting Pam know I was still mad at her.

I looked over to my friends and saw them all sitting on the floor and their hands were tied.

"Let's get out of here before…" I said when the doors suddenly slammed open and I saw A walking into the room.

"Batgirl! I've been waiting for you." A said.

"This ends tonight." I said and walked up to A letting her know I didn't feared her anymore.

A suddenly held up a detonator. "The cop stays out of this or I'll blow this place up." A said and I gestured for Pam to stay out of this and she nodded and sat down next to Emily.

I quickly threw a batrang at A and she caught it.

"Don't insult me with simple tricks." A said and dropped the batrang on the floor.¨

"Fine by me." I said and I walked up to A, she threw a left hook at me and I jumped back to avoid the punch and then I kicked high trying to hit her jaw, but she blocked my kick with her forearm.

A pushed me back and I looked at A as she let out a short amused laugh.

"That's better." A said and then she ran up to me and I threw a punch at her but before I felt my fist collide with her I felt a hard punch in my gut and then A grabbed the back of my head and smashed my skull against a nearby desk then A threw me away so I landed on my face.

"What's wrong? Don't tell me you're out of fight." A said and grabbed me by my ponytail and dragged me up and I threw a hard right to her face, she was caught off guard since she lost her grip on my hair and I threw another hard punch at A's mask where I assumed her nose would be. A took a few steps back after I hit her so I threw another punch but A grabbed me by my wrist and she head-butted me so hard I got dizzy.

Before I had time to recover A kneed me in my gut and I felt myself coughing up some blood as A threw me on the floor again.

I forced myself up to my arms and knees and I just noticed A running up towards me, she kicked towards me but I jumped out of the way before the kick hit me. I jumped up to my feet and A charged me again and I threw another batrang at A and it hit her across her face so she fell onto the floor with a thud.

She looked up at me and ripped the hood of her hoodie but she still had a ski mask that covered her face.

She screamed in anger as she got back up and she ran up against me and I was ready, she threw a few punches at me and I quickly stepped back and when she threw a right hook I dodged under it and I threw a hard to punch to A's chin.

The punch disoriented A since I got an opening to attack her with a flurry of punches and I didn't waste any time going on the offensive hitting A with all of my strength showing her that I had gotten better.

I was about to threw a final punch to A, but then I felt something hit me just over my heels and I fell on my back.

"It's not going to end that easily for you." A said as I got up and now she had recovered from my attack.

"Reay for a new round?" A said mockingly.

I looked over to my friends, they were all looking at me, I could see in their eyes that they were all counting on me.

I looked back at A and answered "Always."

"You just don't know when to quit." A said and she pulled up a gun and fired two bullets that hit me in the chest, luckily the suit could resist the bullets but I know it couldn't take much more.

"Why won't you fucking die?" A screamed frustrated and fired three more bullets in my chest and even though the suit resisted the bullets I could still feel the sting from them when they hit me.

A started to reload her gun but I threw a batrang that knocked the gun out of her hands and I said "If you're as good as you claim you are, why cheat?"

"My hatred for you makes me break a few of my own rules." A said and she pulled out a knife from her sleeve.

She held the knife in her left hand and walked around me in a circle and I stood still and waited for her to attack.

A swung her knife at me but I dodged it, A made another attempt to slash me but I took a quick step back so she just missed me, in anger she made a sloppy attempt to stab me but I grabbed the wrist she was holding her knife in and threw her to the ground and then I twisted her wrist until she dropped the knife.

A screamed in pain and she then poked me in my eye and I lost my grip on her and before I got my sight back A kicked me and I coughed up some more blood from that hit.

"Why are you making this so hard for yourself? Just give up." A asked.

"I'll never give up." I said.

"You know you're just like me only you're more afraid." A said.

"You live a secret life and no one knows who you are." A said.

"The only difference is that you're wearing that mask because you're afraid because you know that without that mask you're nothing." A said.

I knew she tried to get in my head but I wouldn't let her.

"What is your problem with me anyway?" A asked.

"You ruined my life!" I answered.

"Do you have any idea how little that tells me?" A said.

I grabbed my mask and pulled it off "I'm Paige McCullers." I said as I let A see my face.

"No!" A screamed.

"I was supposed to unmask you! I didn't wanted to know who you were until I killed you! now you spoiled the ending for me!" A screamed.

"The one thing I've been looking forward to is ruined!" A yelled as I put my mask back on, now I knew I had gotten into A's head.

"Die!" She screamed as she ran up to me, she threw a few very aggressive punches at me and I moved back and then I blocked on of her punches and hit her in her gut so hard she fell to the floor.

She looked up at me and then she ripped off her ski mask. I could see A's face and it was seriously burnt up, the acid I had dropped on her a few weeks ago had messed up A's face so bad it was impossible to tell who she once was.

"Look at me! LOOK AT ME AND KNOW THIS IS WHAT YOUR WORSE NIGHTMARE LOOK LIKE!" A yelled hysterically and she ran up to me again, this time she tackled me down and she grabbed my throat and started to choke me. I tried to break her grip but she was holing me so tight I couldn't get her to let go of me.

A laughed as I started to fade I had to do something quickly or else I'd be dead.

A took of my mask and threw it away. "Look at me!" She yelled as she loosened her grip slightly on my throat so I could just take a breath.

"My face is the last thing you'll ever see!" A yelled and I grabbed a batrang and used it to stab A in her shoulder, she screamed in pain as she rolled off me.

"BITCH!" She yelled and I got up and A picked up her gun from the floor and I ran up to her and jumped into the air and kicked her so she fell onto the floor hard on her back.

She looked up to me and then she coughed up some blood then she stopped breathing.

I walked up to A and rolled her to her side to see what had happened. She had landed on her knife and it was deep in her back.

I was in shock, it was over A was dead. I had killed her.

I sat down and I couldn't breathe.

"Paige!" Emily ran up to me.

"She is dead." I said and looked over to A's dead body.

"I know Paige, it is finally over." Emily said, then she looked at me and asked "What's wrong?"

I looked back at Emily "I just don't know what to do now, A is why I became Batgirl and now it's over." I said. "I've been Batgirl for so long I don't know for sure who I am anymore." I said.

"You're the girl I love and soon you're my wife." Emily said and reminded me that I had a future and it was with Emily.

Five years later:

I was so nervous, I stood in front of the mirror and I was even more terrified than when I fought A.

I heard a knock on the door and then the door opened slightly. "Are you decent?" I heard Caleb ask.

"Yes, but this suit is a bit less than what I'm used to." I said and Caleb walked into the room I was standing in.

"Don't worry you look fine, sure it doesn't have a cape or belt but you still look good." Caleb said.

"You're right." I said "I'm just nervous." I said and looked at myself in the mirror again.

"Paige, you've gone too far to chicken out now and you have prepared for this for several months." Caleb said.

"You're right, I just wish the time would fly by faster." I said.

"I know but you know you have to do this." Caleb said.

"You're right." I said and walked towards the door. "Let's not keep them waiting." I said and I walked up to the priest and I waited for Emily. I knew I had looked forward to our wedding for a very long time but now I just got scared.

After a few seconds the music started to play and Emily walked up to me, wearing her white dress.

She walked up next to me and I moved her veil so I could see her face. She looked so gorgeous.

The priest started to read his preaching as I looked at Emily.

When it was time to read our promises I started and I said. "Emily, I will love and cherish you for all time, before I met you I never thought such strong live existed but now I know that I'll never love anything or anyone more than I love you."

Emily blushed a little and said. "Paige you changed my life for the better, when I met you I know I found the right one, you were with me through everything and you're still by my side and I want to be by your side forever." Emily said.

"Now, Paige McCullers will you take this Emily Fields as you lawfully wedded wife?" The priest asked.

"I do." I said.

"Emily Field, do you take Paige McCullers as you lawfully wedded wife?" The priest asked Emily.

"I do." Emily said.

"I hereby declare you wife and wife, you may now kiss the bride." The priest said and Emily and I didn't wasted a second, we kissed softly and gently as everyone in the church stood up and applauded us, then we both ran out to the car and drove off to my private jet to get to our honey moon.

Once we were on my jet and it took of I walked up to Emily holding a bottle of champagne.

"You look really good in that suit." Emily said. "I think that'll be my second favorite suit I've seen you in." Emily said.

"Is the Bat suit the favorite?" I asked.

"No, that's my second favorite suit to see you in." Emily said as I opened the champagne bottle and poured it into two glasses for her and me.

"I do wear it a lot now, ever since everyone found out A was defeated by Batgirl I had to wear the suit for a longer while than I thought." I said.

It was true I was still Batgirl only now the criminals would give up as soon as they'd see me.

"Your best suit is your birth suit and I know I'll see you wear that a lot when we get to the hotel." Emily teased.

I smiled and kissed my wife. "I love you." I said very happy with the new life I was living.
