:Ugh, getting back into this is hard but it'll work out! My ideas for this fic are still in my brain, they just need to come out in the right way. I really hope my writing is fine, I fear that I might've gotten worse due to me not writing. But oh well, here it goes! Here is chapter 15 everyone! Please enjoy!:

Joey yawned as he walked down the hallways with his friends at his sides, his arms behind his head as if he was resting on them. Other students were walking alongside them, all of them heading to the exact same location. Why did they have to go to the auditorium? Joey never really paid attention, he only paid attention to his classes and what he had to do to pass. He never cared before, but since he had fun in his classes now, he kinda did care.

In the past he had been a slacker in class, but after a while he realized he wanted to be something more, after all his sister had already advanced faster than him. She had graduated and became a teacher, he wanted to make her happy so he worked to become better in school. Joey never expected to actually do well and end up in a school where she taught! It was awkward at first, but he got used to it. Serenity didn't treat him any differently from any other kid, so it was fine. Though, she would nag at him if he didn't take care of himself properly.

Serenity had said she liked being a teacher and she liked the school. She only didn't like one thing about it, the tradition of the Royals. She would be required to deliver messages to them and that made her cancel her planning for her classes or just interrupt them just to tell them something. Another thing that bugged her was that in the past, the royalty would come to observe her class, at first she was overjoyed and even honored! Until they started to take kids out of her class and began to distract the others from working. Animals needed care and attention, the royals didn't need it! Joey told her she was overreacting, but in reality he agreed with her about not liking it.

He never really enjoyed it either. Anzu liked it, Yugi seemed like he didn't care about it, and Bakura would act as if they were any other person in the world. It made Joey feel strange, it was awkward knowing that they were in the same school as royalty. They always acted like they owned the place in the past, and it made him uncomfortable. But the ones who were here now...They seemed to be different, in a sense.

The main royal, from what he remembered from this morning, had a giant thing for Yugi all because he thought his small pal was a chick. Yugi did look girly, but anyone could see that he was wearing the male school uniform. Perhaps the main royal needed glasses? The blond headed royal seemed to have a thing for Bakura, he had only assumed this due to Bakura screaming about it yesterday. The female one, Mana, had sent Anzu flowers, so that had to mean something. There was one more royal, a brown headed one from what he remembered. Seto, if he recollected the memory right. He had heard Mana saying his name.

Joey remembered seeing Mana and Seto at the theater, he had been happy to have an audience. He was only vaguely surprised when the main royal came to steal his thunder at singing, at least he was good and knew the song. Seto, brown hair, looked like a jerk from faraway. Joey shrugged, perhaps he was nicer on the inside, shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. He hadn't spoken to him yet, so he didn't know. Joey let out a yelp as he felt a hand smack the back of his head.

"Hey!" Joey yelled, his arms breaking apart from each other from behind his head. He kept one hand back there, rubbing on the part that was smacked. "What was that for?!" He glared at the direction it came from, Bakura had a suspicious eyebrow risen.

"You look lost," Bakura spoke. "In mind and soul." He made a gesture at Joey's figure. Joey narrowed his eyes at his friend.

"That makes no sense!"

"You were thinking about something."

"I have to think about something, you know, to walk?"

"Don't get smart with me."

"You're the one who smacked me!"

"Will you two shut up?" Anzu interrupted the argument, her arms folded with the roses resting gently in them, as if cradling them like her own child. Beside her, Yugi rose his eyes to them. In his hands was his notebook, he was studying again, trying to get his mind off certain bets made.

"If you tell him not to hit me, I will." Joey grumbled, placing his hands behind his head again. Bakura scoffed, he was only curious about what his blond friend was thinking about, and the only way to get the dumb guy's attention was to smack him. He hadn't responded to him calling his name, what else was he supposed to do? Bakura let out a surprised gasp as he felt a hand smack the back of his head. He rose a hand to his head and shot a glare at Anzu.

"Why the hell did you do that?!"

"I don't know," Anzu shrugged, pretending she didn't do anything. "Why did I do that?" If only she wasn't a girl, Bakura thought, I would give her hell. He darted his eyes to their smallest friend, there he is again, studying! Couldn't the kid take a break, he was going to die of boredom if he studied all the time! Bakura directed his body toward Anzu, successfully using body language to switch places with her. Making him beside Yugi, and her beside Joey. Bakura grabbed at the notebook, only to miss and have it lifted away from him.

"Nice try." Yugi spoke blankly, his face expressionless as he looked at his friend. Bakura glared at him.

"You need to stop studying for a bit, you're going to kill yourself."

"I actually need to catch up on my studying, I've been..." Yugi paused, his eyes showing a hint of anger in them before he shut them with a sigh. "Having issues lately." Big issues, royally big issues. Yugi bit the inside of his cheek, trying not to think of the stupid bet he had made with the royal. That's the main reason he was studying, to get the damn royal off his mind. Studying took everything off his mind, it calmed him down and made him escape to his own place. As if no one could disturb him in his new found hiding spot, it was peaceful just reading and trying to memorize words on the paper. It wasn't much, it was only a cake recipe but never the less, it was something to study.

"Issues?" Anzu questioned, forcing her way into the conversation. "What kind of issues? Are your dorm mates being too annoying at night again?" Bakura and Joey shot a side-wades glare at her as Yugi just showed a small smile and shook his head.

"No..." He breathed out. "It's just the same old problem I've been having for the past 2 days." Did it even count as two days? He had met the royal in the afternoon, and then it continued onto the next day. Was it one and half days? Did it matter, Yugi asked himself. He was just trying to distract himself from thinking about the guy, give him a break!

"Oh..." Anzu voiced, feeling a sharp stab of guilt in her heart as she looked away and down at the floor. She didn't have to ask Yugi vocally to know if Atemu was the issue he was talking about. She knew it was Atemu. And yet she was helping him, she wandered vaguely if she was going to have to help him today. They were going to the auditorium for something, this she knew. What if when he was there he came forward and tried to flirt with Yugi and mentioned that she had been helping him get to him?! Not only would Yugi be mad at her, he'd probably feel betrayed! Maybe she could refuse to help him.

Anzu shook her head in her mind, she couldn't stop. There was still a chance for...She could feel her face turn a barely noticeable pink. There was still a chance that she could convince Atemu to go for her and not Yugi. The prince seemed to be infatuated with Yugi, but that could change. She doubted it, but there was still that tiny bit of a luck. And what about the princess?

Anzu's mind stopped working, and she had to force herself to keep walking, she had almost stopped moving in confusion. What would she do about the princess? She looked down at the roses in her arms, holding them close to her. The princess had sent the roses, that was obvious and Atemu had sent Yugi some. What she doing? Hoping for a chance with the prince when the princess liked her? Well she might not even like her, she could have just been flirting for the hell of it. Girls do that, she was one, she should know. But why send the roses if it had just been playful, unmeaningful flirting? Anzu thought the princess was pretty, but she did not swing that way. She liked Atemu, but the princess, Mana. Anzu felt her heart pounding. What would she do?!

"You okay, Anzu?" Anzu felt a hand being placed on her arm, she looked down to see Yugi looking up at her, concern being laid out in those bright eyes of his. She felt warmth spread across her cheeks at the sight of him, he looked so worried about her. Anzu narrowed her eyes at Yugi, her mind taking in Yugi's appearance and couldn't help but compare them to Atemu's, they looked alike...

"Anzu?" Yugi spoke, louder this time as he watched the color red cover Anzu's cheeks. Anzu blinked and shook her head quickly. "You're not okay?"

"N-No!" Anzu spat out, she stopped abruptly, causing many students to glare at her and walk around in annoyance. Her friends stopped and looked at her, worry hidden in their gazes. "I-I mean," She let out a awkward chuckle as she gripped the flowers closer to her. "I'm fine...Really." She smiled as best she could at her small friend.

Yugi rose an eyebrow, Anzu was acting funny and she had stared at him funny. What the hell had she been thinking about? Maybe she was thinking about the princess, it'd be an odd thing due to the fact he always thought Anzu as straight, but he had thought Mana was straight, and she had sent Anzu flowers. Well, he had to double check that, he would ask Mana if she did or not. Speaking of asking people something, he still needed to ask why Anzu was with Atemu. Not that he really cared, he was just curious and he was curious of how she even met Mana. He thought of how odd Anzu was acting again...

Perhaps he could ask her later...

Atemu sighed as he stood straight up, readjusting his shirt and tie. They had gotten disorderly when he had hid himself in the paper of the glass ball. Where else was he supposed to hide? Mana had shoved him in there and it was convenient at the time, heck he was able to drown out most of Seto's lectures this time!

Mana, on the other hand, had been subjected to the noise and pain of hearing Seto yell at her. Don't go off alone! You are royalty, act like it! I am your Adviser! Mana grabbed at the side of her head, trying to drown out the sound of Seto's screaming out of her ears. She could still hear him and he had stopped five minutes ago! She looked to Malik and how he simply leaned on the ball, she strained her eyes to look past his hair near his ears, how in the world was he able to withstand Seto's yelling without flinching? She saw bright white dots in his ears...The damn guy brought earplugs...

Seto stood to the side, his arms crossed as he looked out into what would be the audience, but there was a curtain in front of him. So, he was just looking at a curtain, but his mind was lost in what was about to happen. They were about to choose the next event, what event could it be? Would it be athletic? Would it be a luck based event? A festival? Where would it be held, right there in the auditorium? Seto looked around, seeing Mana do the same thing. He was still quite peeved at the two royal siblings, but he still had to look after them, so he couldn't stay mad long. He narrowed his eyes as he couldn't help but notice how it was only their small little group.

"Where is Maximillion?" Seto asked aloud to the others. Atemu and Mana turned their heads to him, shrugging at the question, how would they know? They only knew that they were supposed to come here, they didn't know that they were actually supposed to meet up with the principal. Malik ignored them, not on purpose of course, he just couldn't hear them due to the plugs in his ears.

Seto pulled back his sleeve, revealing the watch on his wrist to glance at the time. The curtains were due open in only a few moments, where was the guy? Due to being the principal one would think he'd be on time...

"Maybe he's not coming and we're supposed to do this by ourselves?" Mana suggested, feeling her mind finally calm down from Seto's loud lectures. The lectures from him always stuck in your mind though, you might not hear them ringing in your ears anymore, but you'll hear them at night. That's how terrifying and loud they were.

Seto turned his body toward her, considering the thought as he looked around some more. It didn't make sense if he didn't come though, the orders that he had received was to come and meet Maximillion behind the curtains in the auditorium to pick the first event. He wouldn't expect for the man to make them run the show, but the principal seemed strange from the very beginning, so maybe he shouldn't be so surprised if he didn't show up.

Atemu moved his eyes around the area, narrowing them as he noticed how he saw curtains begin to open. Well, what do you know? The man wasn't going to come after all, this was going to be fun. He darted his eyes to Malik, which in turn, caused Malik to turn his head toward him due to the human instinct to look at anything that even faces you. Atemu made a gesture with the both of his hands near his ears, as if they were pulling something out of them. Malik nodded with a smirk and took out his earplugs, placing them in his back pocket for later. Who knows, he might need them again.

The four looked at each other, every one of them catching the other's eyes in some way. They all nodded at one another as they put themselves in a presentable position. With the crystal ball in the middle, Atemu and Mana stationed themselves beside each other on the right side, while Seto and Malik were stationed on the left. The curtains rose steadily, revealing a blinding light into the dark backstage and unlocking the loud cheers and squeals of the students within the audience.

Atemu took a deep breath as he closed his eyes and made himself look like what he was supposed to be. A confident, intimidating Pharaoh, his eyes now reopened and narrow, the crimson flooding his sockets to appear bold and enchanting, his sharp noble face, facing forward and confident as it refused to move to any noise made, not even the tiniest gesture or sound caused his face to move in the direction. His body, stationed in the ground and frightening in a sense as his royal aura could be sensed. He looked calm, he looked brave. But he was nervous.

Mana sighed with a small smile, hearing the cheers from the students invade her ears, hearing the squeals, hearing the clapping. She was overwhelmed with the feeling of actually being important. Her father and mother always had the glory of being the main ones, now it was her and Atemu. Now, the brother and sister were at the top for the time being. The feeling took over her body, making her feel light as air yet heavy as a boulder as she felt nervousness overflow her heart. She was a feather, she was a rock. She felt ecstatic.

Malik could barely keep still as he took a peek over at the royal siblings. Both of them had a domineering aura, as if they held all the power in the world. They were the ones in control, they called the shots. But in reality they weren't. They were the children of the royal family, but they were next in line. He was impressed with how they could stand the loud noises bouncing off the walls, the bright lights that blinded his vision. He had withstood bright lights, but these were real lights, they were brighter. He could feel sweat rolling down his back, he wasn't one of the main siblings. But he sure felt like it with the lights beaming down at him.

Seto glared toward the audience, crossing his arms and refusing to give them even the slightest smile. He wasn't there to entertain them, he was there for his friends, he was their adviser, he had to be there. He shot a glance at the siblings, he felt pride awaken in his blood as he kept his eyes on them. They looked exactly what they were supposed to look like, royalty. He was happy to know that they were taking this seriously, they might mess around at times. But they knew what they were, and they knew how to look in front of a crowd. Atemu was bold, spelling out the word intimidation in a single glance. Mana was noble, radiating elegance just by noticing her. He moved his eyes to Malik, surprised to find that he too, seemed to have a royal aura to him. His body structure was straight, he didn't look nervous at all, he looked scary in a way. Good, he thought, let us show this school how royalty really acts.

"Well," Joey spoke, crossing his arms and arching an eyebrow up. "Don't they look fancy?" He could vaguely see Bakura trying not to chuckle at his comment. The royals were wearing the school uniform! The prince was wearing it yesterday, but the others hadn't been wearing it. Truth be told, it suited them. And they made it look like a royal outfit. Was that a skill royals had? Make anything they wear seem like it was made for royalty? But, the outfit seemed to look better on these royals than the previous ones...He darted his eyes to the brown headed royal, Seto. He looked like someone had taken a crap in his breakfast. Did he have to look so serious? He was the only royal that he hadn't heard speak, Joey's curiosity was piqued, he wondered what he sounded like. Perhaps it was a deep voice that fit his scary face, or a high pitched one that didn't fit at all. Now that would be funny.

"Huh..." Bakura breathed out, his eyes blinking in confusion before he stopped and simply looked away from the royalty. "First royals to actually pull the uniform off, I'll give them props, I guess?" He returned his eyes to the stage. It really did suit them well, their principal would always force the royals to wear the school uniform. However, they hadn't exactly looked good on the others before, they had said that the uniform wasn't the kind of fabric they were used to, so they would always look like they were being murdered in the thing. The ones up there now were wearing it quite normally, and looked to be actually enjoying wearing the outfit. His eyes darted to Malik with a glare, it looked good on him, he had to admit. It didn't look the best on him, but it looked decent. He looked scary though, as if he was forcing himself to look confident. He didn't have to be so nervous, it was just being on a stage. Bakura removed his eyes from the royals once more, he didn't care if the damn annoying boy was nervous or not.

"That's true." Anzu commented, one arm holding the flowers while the other was on her tilted hip. "They don't look like they're dying or having a seizure for once." Every time the old royals wore the outfit, they kept twitching and looking like they would drop down with foam coming out of their mouth at any second. One time Joey had sneaked a dart into Drama class with some weird antidote in it, and had thrown it at the visiting royal. At first, it was funny. Until the poor guy's face turned green and they had to send him to the nursing area. She had scolded him for weeks on end for it, she had rather liked that royal. Even though he did exaggerate his power quite a bit. She looked toward the royal siblings. Atemu looked stunning in the uniform, he was in it yesterday and she was with him all day, so she was used to seeing it now, but it still made him look dashing. Anzu blushed as she directed her eyes to the princess, she looked amazing in the outfit. Mana had folded her hands in front of her, giving her a royal and polite look and aura to her. It was odd, she had seen many people wear that uniform, why was seeing Mana in it affecting her? She shot away the question from her mind. She was just thinking a girl was pretty, big deal.

"Well, now I'm disappointed." Yugi grumbled, moving his eyes away from his notebook to look up at the stage, one hand in his pocket as his other held the item in his palm. "I had hoped that one of them might start twitching..." He glared at the direction of Atemu. Wasn't the damn prince wearing the uniform yesterday? Why was he disappointed? He had seen him the other day, sadly, but he hadn't cared to look at the uniform on him...He sighed in defeat as he admitted to himself that the royals did look pretty good in the uniforms...But he still wished that Atemu would have started twitching and perhaps fell over like one of the other royals. One had said something poisonous had stung him the same day he put on the uniform but no one believed him due to the fact he was talking to the girls. Most of them just thought he was trying to get one of the girls to kiss a part of his body, but after around twenty minutes he fell over blue in the face and was sent in the nurse. Apparently one of the chemical kids, Haga, had accidentally sat a poisoned needle in his chair. It was a weak poison, it only made the royal sick for the entire month he was there. It was the only time Yugi was actually glad to have Haga there at the school.

Yugi rose an eyebrow as he saw Atemu's eyes darting around the area. What was he looking for? He blinked in confusion as the royal's eyes rested on him and smirked before he winked at him, causing loud squealing to erupt from the girls in the audience.

"Looks like Princey spotted Yugi." Bakura chuckled as, he too, noticed the wink in his small friend's direction. Yugi blushed more in anger than embarrassment at the wink, stupid flirty pervert. How dare the damn royal do that in front of an audience? Well, the crowd might have thought he was just winking to the girls, or the boys...Didn't the whole school see him kiss Yugi's hand? Yugi shook his head at the stupid memory, perhaps it was a good idea to wink at the audience, it riled up the crowd that was for sure. But he wasn't winking at the audience, he was winking at you. Yugi pouted at his thoughts and just looked down at his notebook, forget about it. Forget about it!

"Ladies and Gentlemen!"

A voice sounded throughout the auditorium, sending vibrations throughout the area and the heads of the students in the large room. Students began to turn their heads, searching for the voice. Yugi and his group didn't turn their head, they were used to this, why wasn't everyone else in the school used to it yet? They had only been there for one year and they were. Perhaps they just weren't mature enough, no wait. They had Joey, never mind.

"Welcome to the royal event choosing!"

The voice continued to speak, now causing the students to resume their cheering and clapping. The royals were utterly confused, why the hell was the principals voice coming from nowhere and everywhere?! Malik was the only royal to turn his head up and widen his eyes when he saw Pegasus flying down, a jet pack on his back as he smiled and held out his arms to his sides. Malik was weirded out to find he was wearing his own school uniform. When did principals wear school uniforms? He landed behind the glass ball, smiling as if he was glad to be there. He looked happy and excited. Malik was surprised to find that he was the only one who was staring at the guy with a surprised expression, when the hell were jet packs invented?!

"Can't he come in normally?" Anzu sighed, placing a hand to her head. "It isn't hard, it's just walking." Bakura let out a laugh at that as he gestured to the stage with his thumb.

"Normal? Our principal?" Bakura smirked and shook his head. "Anzu, you must be joking." Anzu rolled her eyes, she had seen Mr. Pegasus be normal before. He was walking down the hallway and helping kids find their classrooms, he wasn't always weird.

"I see that you have seen our lovely guests once again." Pegasus voiced, gesturing to the four royals standing near him. The crowd burst out in squeals and whistles. Mana let out a sweet smile and waved at the crowd while Atemu simply let out a small smile, his eyes not on the crowd but on someone in the crowd. Yugi looked quite cute today, actually when did he not look cute? Pegasus made a gesture to the glass ball.

"Today," He spoke loudly, his voice magnified even though he didn't have anything to help. He knew how loud to speak to make it sound throughout the auditorium, it was handy to know this, and also made it cheaper on the school. Not that they couldn't afford it, he was just too lazy. "Prince Atemu shall choose the first event of the month!" He placed a hand on Atemu's shoulder, smiling warmly at the prince.

Atemu forcefully tore his eyes away from Yugi to turn his eyes to Pegasus and nodded at him as he turned toward the ball. Pegasus gestured for him to place his hand in.

"Come now," He said. "You need not be shy, it will not bite." Atemu struggled not to roll his eyes at the weird principal as he rose a hand and reached into the ball. In a flash, the paper in the ball began to fly around in it, as if they had a mind of their own and was trying to fly out of it like a butterfly trapped in a sphere. Atemu was so shocked he almost withdrew his hand the moment he placed it in there, he quickly drew back his hand after a few seconds, a piece of paper held within his grasp. He could have gotten a paper cut from that!

"I hope he got a paper cut." Yugi grumbled under his breath as he looked up at the stage. Anzu heard this and chuckled awkwardly, yeesh he got mean when it came to Atemu. She wandered if something else happened, she was sure that he didn't hate him this much yesterday...Actually she wasn't sure at all, she hoped she was, but she wasn't. She looked up to the stage to see Atemu handing the paper to Pegasus, Mana looked like she was trying not to laugh at what the ball had done, Malik looked scared, and the last royal simply looked like he didn't care.

"Ah!" Pegasus gasped out in fake surprise, holding the paper as he rose a hand to his face. "The first shall be..." He closed his eyes as he let out a big smile and extended his arms wide, Atemu had to move out of the way to avoid his arms.

"The Extreme Standard Race!" Pegasus yelled happily, the audience cheering about the announcement. All of the royals blinked in confusion at this, what kind of name was that? Extreme standard race? What, did they run while having some weird crap on their head or something?

"Oh great..." Joey groaned. "Something athletic, I can't wait." Bakura rolled his eyes at Joey's comment. They hadn't even heard of this event yet, they had only seen four events last year and they were odd as well. This sounded interesting in a weird childish way, but what wasn't weird at this school?

" I shall explain the rules!" Pegasus voiced as he then dropped the paper back into the ball and clapped his hands, causing a trap door to open below the ball and force it to fall down into a dark square. Atemu cringed, wasn't that thing made of glass? Wouldn't the thing break?

"There are three parts of the race!" Pegasus began. "Everyone must take part in a 3 section race. The first part of the race will include a standard running track for 1 mile, once you reach a red flag you will then begin the second part of the race where you will find a 2 mile hill and small scooters, you will have to get on them and ride down as fast as you can. Once you finish that part you will come across a blue flag, there you will find multiple cars parked. You must drive this for 3 miles, reach the finish line and park yourself in front of the royal that is assigned to that track." Pegasus smiled and gestured at all four of them.

"There will be four tracks, all identical but each holding a different royal. At the end if you win, you get to have a special lunch with the royal of that race! And this special lunch isn't special just because you get to eat with them!" Pegasus smirked and crossed his arms. "It is special because you will be eating alone with them in a place where you shall have food served to you!" The crowd went wild just with these words, while the royals froze in shock. All four of them were being involved with this? They were being used a prize? What?!

"So you basically get a free date with them?" Bakura questioned, what a stupid prize. "That's lame..." Yugi shrugged, it was a good prize for the people who actually wanted to have lunch with one of them. The only royals he actually wouldn't mind eating with was probably Malik or Mana. Would they be able to choose which royal they could race for? Everyone had to race, he would hope you could...

Pegasus snapped his fingers, and out of nowhere giant digital numbers appeared above his head in bright turquoise writing. It read '2:00:00' He rose a hand in the air.

"The event starts in two hours!" He announced, his voice excited and overjoyed. Pegasus loved these events, after all he was the one who made them, why wouldn't he be happy about this?!

"Come back here when it is time and I wish all of my spectacular students good luck!"

:That was a long ass chapter...God! Anyway that race is actually something I dreamed about. Yes I dreamed up the race, when I was at the hotel I had a dream that I was playing the role of a camera and I was watching people race exactly how I said it is done and it was very weird. I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter! Please review!:
