:You all have no idea how much time I spend thinking about all your reviews that give me encouragement. I know it sounds weird, but it really does make me happy when people give me advice about school, or shows that they're willing to wait and that they like the story. It makes me feel all tingly inside and I love you guys XD. Anyway, enough of my rambling, here's the next chapter!:
Joey gulped, looking across the table to Seto's cold gaze. Couldn't the guy stop staring? He shifted in his seat awkwardly, god why did he agree to this thing? He turned his eyes to the computer in front of him. On the screen was a plain white screen with the words in bold black letters BEGIN.
"Well?" Seto voiced, a tinge of amusement going through his tone. "Aren't you going to click the button?" Joey rose an eyebrow in confusion as he stared at the screen, was he supposed to click something? He looked down, noticing how there were four buttons staring back up at him. Purple, blue, yellow, and brown buttons were stationed in a game controller like way in front of him. The purple one flickered at him impatiently, just waiting for him to press it.
"So, uh..." Joey choked out, truly not wanting to do this. "How does this thing work anyhow?" He really hadn't wanted to take this thing, but he didn't know what else to say when Seto had pinned him to the table. What else would have him got him off? Joey thought about kicking him in the balls, but for some reason he didn't want to hurt the cold royal. Had the guy ever been kicked in the balls? Joey flushed at his question, what kind of guy has never been kicked there? A gay one, maybe? Because they would not have a reason to be kicked there if they had never pissed off a girl.
Wait, no. A guy would kick another guy there as well, it wasn't girly to aim for the balls. But it did seem kind of cheap, Joey could see Yugi doing it though. If the prince guy ever came that close to Yugi, would he kick him? He would assume he would, just to even imagine it was kinda funny.
"It is not rocket science, Mutt." Seto chuckled, an amused smile appearing on his face for a moment. "All you simply must do is answer the questions placed on the screen, the answers will be highlighted in a color, and whichever answer you choose you must press the button that corresponds with the color." Seto finished explaining, his smile never fading as he stared across at the blonde boy.
"O-Oh..." Joey whispered, it seemed simple enough. "What happens after that?" He knew this was a compatible quiz, did he get a score based on how well he got along with the adviser? Maybe he just got a piece of paper that read GOOD or BAD. That seemed like something that would happen.
"After that happens, our compatibility score will be displayed on the screen above us." Seto explained, pointing up at the computer screen that branched from the two smaller ones. Joey looked up, noticing the screen. "Since there are only 10 questions, It will always be an even number. However, only one question is not counted."
"Why isn't it counted?"
"Because it is already answered from the moment you start the quiz."
"That doesn't make sense."
"Neither does this school of yours."
"Hey!" Joey snapped, glaring at the royal across from him. "Don't make fun of my school!" Seto rolled his eyes at the childish reaction, the school really didn't make sense. So, why defend it? It wasn't an insult, but it wasn't exactly a compliment either.
"Begin the quiz, Mutt." Seto demanded, gesturing to the computer with his eyes. Joey crossed his arms, his eyes still glaring harshly at him.
"Why aren't you taking it?" Joey questioned, slightly confused by the fact the royal was just sitting there looking like he wasn't going to do anything. Seto sighed, pointing at the screen.
"I have already taken the quiz, and I am only required to take it once." Seto explained. "I took it once to pick my answers, therefore the answers you choose are based off my own. If they are compatible in any shape or form, the computer will tell us. Do not ask me what is compatible with what answer, I have not the slightest idea." Joey furrowed his eyebrows together. Well, he just answered every question he had. He inhaled through his nose quickly, nodding in response.
"Alright, fine." Joey breathed out, focusing his eyes on the screen. "Don't distract me."
"You needn't worry about that." Seto responded boringly, forcing Joey to put on another angered face.
"Will you stop talking like that?!" Joey snapped at him, earning a wide eyed reaction from Seto. What was wrong with the way he talked?
"What are you-"
"Your fancy...little..." Joey searched for the words in his brain as he looked down at his hands, as if they held the answers. "Formal, royal speech!" Joey looked back up, his eyes catching Seto's. The royal's eyes widened more, it was an interesting description of the way he talked, but did it really sound like that?
"I-"
"Do it!" Joey yelled, interrupting the adviser once again. "Whenever we're alone, you need to calm down and chill! You're a human, ya know?" Joey didn't really care if he was stealing Yugi's words, it was true. The royals were human, and this royal needed to take a chill pill!
"You..." Seto whispered, his thoughts spinning in his head. "You said, whenever we're alone?" He watched as Joey's face began to glow a bright pink. It felt nice to be told to calm down by Joey for an odd reason, as if it was easier to obey. Perhaps it was because he wasn't royalty, Atemu had always told him to calm down. But he would usually always switch back to a formal way of speaking, then again, he would lose his speech sometimes.
"H-Huh?" Joey stuttered out, his face feeling hot. Seto smirked, he picked out that sentence for one reason and one reason alone. It was because Joey had hinted that they would spend more time together, which he would love really, so why not tease the boy?
"Are you saying we are going to spending more time together?"
"N-No! I-I just..."
"Because I would like to, ya know?" Seto smirked, stealing Joey's words from him. Joey bit his lip, not sure what to say to him.
"W-What do you-"
"What say you and I spend time together on Saturday?" Seto questioned, trying his luck on this. It was a simple question, he was asking the boy on a date. Seto had never really been on a date, but he had the feeling that if he did go on a date with Joey, it would be simple. He just had to simply restrain his feelings to go crazy, in other words, be incredibly shy. But he had passed that a while ago.
"I-I-I..." Joey fished around for the words, what the hell could he say to that?! He had just been asked to hang out on a Saturday with a royal! What the hell did he say to this?! "Um..." He looked at the screen, suddenly getting an idea.
"I-I'll hang out with you on Saturday..." Joey spoke. "If I get a score higher than 70." Seto rose an eyebrow, interesting. He felt slightly annoyed by the fact Joey had avoided saying yes, but he had avoided saying no as well. It wasn't that bad to have a fun little game like this.
"Very well." Seto chuckled, a slight hint of both amusement and annoyance in his voice. "Why don't you get started then?" He gestured to the computer, watching as Joey nodded and quickly pressed the purple button. A question flashed onto the screen. His eyes darted across the screen, reading the words quickly.
Are you a boy or are you a girl?
Blue: Boy
Purple: Girl
Oh, so it was like your standard compatible quiz. Joey rolled his eyes, clicking the blue button quickly so it would move onto the next question. What was next? What's your favorite color? He felt like a girl taking a stupid lovey-dovey quiz now...But that was what he was doing...Joey felt the urge to groan before he saw the next question flash.
How do you choose "The One"?
Purple: I don't know.
Blue: I can feel it in my heart.
Yellow: I choose based on who makes me happy.
Brown: I don't choose, they choose me.
Joey narrowed his eyes at the screen. How did he choose "The One"? What did that mean? Was it asking how he chose the one he liked? He scanned over the answers, not really knowing what to pick. He supposed that he would choose based on who made him happy, that was what most people did, right? Joey quickly pressed the yellow button, causing the screen to flash the next question in a blink of an eye. God, this thing was fast.
How would you show affection towards your lover?
Yellow: Natural Affection (Hugs, holding hands, etc.)
Brown: Loving Affection (Kissing in public, cuddling in corners, etc.)
Purple: Fun Affection (Teasing, Fun arguments, etc.)
Blue: Tough Affection (Pretending to ignore, playful fighting, etc.)
Joey liked all the answers really. The only answer he didn't like was Tough Affection, it seemed kind of mean if your love was like that. Natural Affection was cute, but it was too cute for him. Loving Affection was okay, but it appeared to be too girly for his taste. Joey's eyes lingered on Fun Affection before he nodded and pressed the purple button, another question revealed itself to him.
Would you be afraid to show your affection in public?
Brown: Yes.
Purple: No.
Blue: Only in front of relatives (Parents/Siblings).
Yellow: Depends.
Joey couldn't have chosen an answer quick enough. He would be terrified to show affection in front of Serenity or his parents. Serenity was overprotective of him, and he knew this! One time a boy had hit on him when he was playing outside, and even though Joey was taller than his sister and the boy was taller than him. Serenity had beat the boy so hard that she had been known as his protector ever since. It was awkward at first, but he had gotten used to it. He quickly pressed the button and stared at the screen as he read the next question.
Would you spoil your lover?
Blue: Sometimes, maybe.
Yellow: I want to be the one spoiled.
Purple: If they want me to.
Brown: Not really.
Joey scrunched his face up in thought. Would he spoil his lover? He didn't really know, he hadn't had many lovers. Mainly because he only really liked guys, but still...Joey sighed and settled for the If they want me to answer, it was the only one that he could settle on. He pressed the purple button and waited, looking at the screen for the next question.
Do you consider yourself a homosexual?
Purple: No.
Brown: I don't know.
Blue: Yes.
Yellow: I don't consider myself any sexuality.
Hello! Quiz is getting a little bit personal here! Joey almost laughed out loud at this question, it was easy to answer, but it was kind of funny to see this kind of question on a compatibility quiz! Joey just allowed himself to chuckle as he pressed the blue button.
Do you believe in true love?
Brown: I think it exists, but it's not for me.
Purple: Of course!
Yellow: I believe it can happen.
Blue: I think it's rare.
Joey felt a little sad reading the first answer. A person who thinks it exists, but it's not for them? He had to pity the person who would pick that answer. But he knew that if someone picked that answer that they would find someone anyway. There always someone out there for them. True love can happen, but you have to find it or let it find you. Joey pressed the yellow button with a smile and watched the screen change its sentence.
What do you value in a romantic partner?
Purple: Their Honesty.
Yellow: Their Affection.
Brown: Their Loyalty.
Blue: Their decision to choose me.
Joey felt a sad spark in his heart when he read the final answer. Why were some of these answers kind of sad? What kind of person would be like that? Did they never have anyone love them? Joey looked down, but smiled. He remembered what he said to the previous question, everyone found someone. He pressed brown softly, waiting for the next question to appear.
If you had a crush on someone, what would you do?
Brown: I don't know.
Yellow: Hint it at them, but not actually tell them.
Blue: Outright tell them.
Purple: I've never had a crush, so I wouldn't know.
Joey couldn't help yelling the word "Girl answer!" when he read Yellow's answer. From what he saw, that was what almost all girls did! I'm gonna make them guess if I like them or not, but I'll totally hint it! He looked at the purple answer, telling himself that the person would be lying if they chose that answer. No one has never had a crush, they would probably think they never had. But everyone has one at some point in their lives. Joey knew what answer he would pick, he used to a crush on Yugi. So, he had outright told him, but he had been rejected in the end. However it was good to get it off his chest, if you don't tell someone it just builds up and you can't think straight. Joey pressed the blue button with no hesitation.
How far would you go for love?
Blue: It depends on the situation.
Brown: I would travel the world.
Yellow: I would always follow them.
Purple: As far as I am able to go.
Joey couldn't help thinking it sounded like a sad question, but he shook his head. He already knew the answer, if he truly loved someone. He would follow them no matter where they went. He pressed the yellow button, letting out a soft gasp when he read the screen that spelled out PLEASE LOOK UP AT THE MAIN SCREEN.
Joey narrowed his eyes in confusion before he heard a smug little chuckle come from Seto. He had forgotten the royal was there for a while, the guy had been quiet the whole time. He looked toward Seto, noticing a small smirk on his face as he looked up at the screen above them. Joey looked up as well, his eyes widening at the score.
Final Compatibility Score: 80%
Congratulations!
Joey's mouth was gaped like a fish, no way! He lowered his eyes to see the royal adviser staring at him, an elbow placed on the table while his chin rested on top of his knuckles. The man smirked at him, a winning smirk.
"I'll see you on Saturday then, Mutt."

"I don't see the need to take this..." Bakura grumbled, his arms crossed as he sat across from the blond royal. He knew why he had to take it, Malik wouldn't have gotten off of him if he didn't agree to take it! He wondered vaguely what would happen if he refused to take it now, but he wasn't really curious to know.
"It's just for fun, 'Kura!" Malik giggled, his hands in his lap as he swung his legs like a little kid. Sure, he had forced Bakura into taking the quiz, but it was going to be so cool to see what percentage they would get! Wasn't Bakura curious at least a little bit?
"Fun?" Bakura narrowed his eyes and looked down to see the purple button blinking up at him. He was tempted to push the other buttons just to see what would happen.
"Yeah, don't you want to see if we're compatible or not?" Malik pouted, hoping that his action would get to him in some way. Shockingly, it did. Bakura looked up, noticing Malik's pout and how his cheeks seemed to force themselves into a slight shade of red. Bakura felt his mouth go dry and couldn't stop his face from going above the regular temperature. What was with this guy?
"N-Not really..."
"Why not?"
"It's not real, it's just a made up quiz." Bakura told him, trying not to sound harsh when he talked. "This is just some quiz that is supposed to make people happy, it doesn't tell the truth." Malik smiled at him, yes that was true. But it was still kind of fun. He had seen thousands of reactions from the quiz, but he couldn't wait to see Bakura's!
"So?" Malik sung out. "If you don't take it, I'll just get up out of my seat and straddle you." Bakura's body tensed at that statement. He could do without that, thank you very much!
"Okay! I'll take it!" Bakura quickly said, slamming his hand on the purple button to start the quiz. Malik just giggled and watched the screen, it allowed him to see Bakura take the quiz and allowed him to see what he had chosen. He waited patiently for Bakura to start pressing buttons.
Are you a boy or are you a girl?
Blue: Boy
Purple: Girl
Seriously? Bakura felt his eye twitch. It was seriously going to ask the year old question, are you a boy or girl? This was stupid, he wanted to quit the quiz right then and there, but...Bakura let his eyes go to Malik, who was watching his screen with an amused smile. He wouldn't dare take the risk of Malik straddling him again. He pressed the blue button and jumped slightly at the speed it took to pull up the next question.
How do you choose "The One"?
Brown: I don't know.
Blue: I can feel it in my heart.
Purple: I choose based on who makes me happy.
Yellow: I don't choose, they choose me.
Bakura blinked at that, what was "The One"? A person you liked or something? Oh, wait. No, he had heard of this term before. It was about someone you loved or something like that. He rolled his eyes, he never had a one, so he didn't know. Bakura pressed the yellow button, the person probably would choose him. He certainly wouldn't choose someone, he didn't have the time or the patience for that. He read the next question as he let out a yawn.
How would you show affection towards your lover?
Purple: Natural Affection (Hugs, holding hands, etc.)
Brown: Loving Affection (Kissing in public, cuddling in corners, etc.)
Yellow: Fun Affection (Teasing, fun arguments, etc.)
Blue: Tough Affection (Pretending to ignore, playful fighting, etc.)
Bakura furrowed his eyebrows together. Affection, huh? He never really thought about how he would show affection towards a lover. After all, he hadn't had one. So, he simply went with the one that sounded like it would be the most amusing. He pressed the blue button boringly, blinking as the next question appeared.
Would you be afraid to show your affection in public?
Yellow: Yes.
Purple: No.
Blue: Only in front of relatives (Parents/Siblings).
Brown: Depends.
Depends sounded right. Bakura thought as soon as he read the answers. If him and a lover were at a fancy party, he wouldn't think about kissing or hugging, he would be thinking about how to get the hell out of the party. If he was with his lover at, possibly, the park then no, he wouldn't care. So, it really depended on where they were. Bakura pressed the brown button, looking up at Malik for a moment before returning his eyes to the screen.
Would you spoil your lover?
Purple: Sometimes, maybe.
Yellow: I want to be the one spoiled.
Brown: If they want me to.
Blue: Not really.
What kind of spoiled did they mean? Spoiled as in; Spoil them with affection, spoil them with food, presents? Bakura didn't know what to put, but he did think he wouldn't be the kind of guy to spoil someone. If they wanted to be spoiled they would be with the wrong person. He quickly pressed blue, thinking about how he should wanting to hurry up and get this quiz over with.
Do you consider yourself a homosexual?
Brown: No.
Blue: I don't know.
Yellow: Yes.
Purple: I don't consider myself any sexuality.
Excuse me?! Bakura developed a large grin on his face, laughter bubbling up in his stomach as he finished reading the question. What kind of question was that?! First it's "Oh, how will you choose "The One"?" Now it's "Tell us; do you want the D or do you want the V?" This was so stupid! Bakura shook his head, chuckling as he pressed purple, he had never really been interested in anyone so it made sense.
Do you believe in true love?
Purple: I think it exists, but it's not for me.
Brown: Of course!
Blue: I believe it can happen.
Yellow: I think it's rare.
Back to the serious questions, I see. Bakura commented, reading the answers carefully. It existed, he knew it had to. He had seen old people together in the city, and one time he had asked them how long they had been together, he would get the craziest answers. He had to do it for a project in middle school, but he had to admit he had been surprised. Bakura bit his lip, it existed, but not everyone could find and actually obtain their true love. He pressed the yellow button hesitantly, looking away from the screen for a moment before returning his eyes to it.
What do you value in a romantic partner?
Purple: Their Honesty.
Brown: Their Affection.
Yellow: Their Loyalty.
Blue: Their decision to choose me.
Bakura found his body answering the question before he could even process the answers. He let out a soft gasp as he saw himself choose the blue button. He looked down at the buttons sadly. Okay, so he wasn't exactly chosen as a love interest a lot. Sure, people had offered wanting to be something with him, but he never wanted to. But, he could respect that they had decided to attempt to be with him. He rose his eyes slowly to the screen, reading the new sentence that had formed.
If you had a crush on someone, what would you do?
Yellow: I don't know.
Brown: Hint it at them, but not actually tell them.
Purple: Outright tell them.
Blue: I've never had a crush, so I wouldn't know.
Bakura knew why he had never given those people a chance to be with him. It was because he didn't want to lead anyone on. Why let someone have a chance with you, if you don't feel the same way? You can't force feelings to happen, they just appear when you least expect them to. Bakura pressed the blue button and lifted his gaze to Malik. The royal looked at him, noticing his eyes on him and smiled across to him. Bakura felt the blood rush to his cheeks and looked down, questioning his sudden reaction before he returned his eyes to the screen.
How far would you go for love?
Yellow: It depends on the situation.
Blue: I would travel the world.
Purple: I would always follow them.
Brown: As far as I am able to go.
Bakura's eyes widened. How far would he go? If he found love, would he do anything? He clenched one of his hands into a fist, he didn't know. What would he do? He looked at the screen, debating over the answers. The only two that appealed to him were yellow and brown, but would his heart agree? He couldn't decide. Bakura took a deep breath, choosing brown. If he really did love someone, he would only go as far as he could, he wouldn't push himself, because if someone loved him, they would do the same.
Bakura blinked as he saw the screen read: PLEASE LOOK UP AT THE MAIN SCREEN. He turned his eyes up, his eyes widening as he witnessed the score that labeled itself on the screen. Malik looked up as well, blinking in shock at the result.
Final Compatibility Score: 70%
Nice! You two go well together!
"What?!" Malik yelled, slamming his hands on the table as he stood up. Bakura jumped in shock, what? That wasn't a good score?
"There's no way we're only 70%!" Malik complained, he crossed his arms and looked away from the main screen. "I know for a fact that 'Kura and I are more compatible than that!" Bakura had to smile at that. Really, the royal was mad over the fact they got an average score?
Malik dropped himself back into the seat, his lips forming a pout and his cheeks puffed out in annoyance as he closed his eyes. Bakura stood up, walking to the other side of the table and kneeling in front of the pouting royalty.
"Don't act so upset." Bakura ordered, a friendly tone erupting from him. Malik opened his eyes, blushing as he noticed Bakura kneeling in front of him. What was he doing?! And what did he mean don't act so upset? Of course he was going to be upset! Bakura and him were more compatible than anything, he wouldn't be like this with him if they weren't!
"But, we-" Malik's eyes widened when he felt Bakura place a finger on his lips, silencing him quickly. Bakura shook his head, a slight chuckle exiting his lips.
"I told you before," Bakura spoke softly. "This quiz isn't real, it doesn't tell the truth." Malik blinked in surprise, he did say that...But it still kind of hurt to get an average compatibility score...
"How about we do something on Friday?" Bakura suggested, surprising himself. "We can prove to the stupid quiz that there is no way that we are lower than at least an 80%." Malik couldn't believe his ears, was he hearing correctly?! Was Bakura really asking him on a date?! But wait, didn't he have school?
"Don't you have school?" Malik mumbled against Bakura's finger. Bakura smiled and removed the digit from his lips.
"Don't you have the ability to pull me out of my classes?" Bakura rose an eyebrow at him and smirked. Malik nodded quickly, he had forgotten all about that!
"O-Okay, so..." Malik fidgeted in his seat, biting his lip and looking down at his hands. "What time should I come get you from your class?" He looked up at Bakura, their eyes locking with each others and refusing to leave the others gaze. Bakura smiled at him, his eyes softening.
"Anytime is fine with me."

"So, I just press the button and it'll start the quiz?" Anzu questioned, sitting down across from Mana. The princess nodded, smiling brightly at her.
"Yes, that's right." Mana responded, folding her hands over in her lap. She couldn't believe that Anzu had agreed to take the quiz, it was great! She normally wouldn't be into these fake quizzes, but with Anzu...She simply couldn't help being curious of how compatible they were with each other!
"What's the highest compatibility score you've seen?" Anzu asked, wanting to make conversation before she started the quiz. No doubt that as soon as she started the quiz that the royal would stop talking to her momentarily. Mana closed her eyes in thought, wondering for a second why Anzu would ask such a question but shoved the thought to the side before she answered.
"The highest was a 70%." Mana told her, telling her with her eyes that she didn't care about the other scores. Anzu nodded, trying not to think about Mana's eyes as they looked over her. Why was she staring at her like that? She had said the response as if she didn't care, and then she had began to stare at her...Anzu felt a sudden warmth cast over her face, not this again.
"I-I see." Anzu mumbled out, trying to calm down. "Have you seen any potential spouses?" Mana's eyes widened at the question, why would she ask that? Anzu regretted asking the question immediately, why was she so stupid?! Of course she had! The princess had probably seen over a thousand students by now, surely at least one of them had to have caught her eye! Anzu couldn't hold back the tinge of hurt in her heart as she thought of this. Strange, she thought, it was the exact same sting she felt when she thought of Yugi with someone else...
"I have..." Mana whispered, barely audible enough for Anzu to hear. Anzu looked at Mana, sky blue locked with pine green, causing the princess to allow a small smirk on her face. "Just one, but believe me...I have now."
Anzu's mouth dried in an instant and her chest reacted to those words immediately. What did that mean? She knew her face must have been bright red, but she couldn't help it! The princess had some weird way with words that made her body and heart react, she didn't know what it was, but it was something!
"O-Oh...Um..." Anzu gulped. "I-I'm going to start the quiz now..."
"Okay, take your time, Anzu." Mana purred her name, causing the brunette's muscles to tense. God, that royal...Anzu took a deep breath and attempted to recollect herself, calm down...Calm down! She looked down and observed the flickering purple button before she pressed down on it to start the quiz.
Are you a boy or are you a girl?
Blue: Boy
Purple: Girl
Anzu blinked at this question. Was it like all those other quizzes she had taken before? She had only taken dating quizzes and stuff like that when she was bored, but the 3 main questions asked were always "Are you a boy or girl" "What is your favorite color?" and "What is your favorite season?". She hoped it wouldn't be like that, she would think that their principal would make their quiz a little bit more mature than that. She pressed the purple button and blinked in surprise when she saw how fast the screen had changed it's question. As usual, top notch technology as well as top notch internet.
How do you choose "The One"?
Brown: I don't know.
Purple: I can feel it in my heart.
Blue: I choose based on who makes me happy.
Yellow: I don't choose, they choose me.
Oh, Anzu thought, there's the mature questions. She didn't know to be honest. She always thought she would find the one multiple times, but her heart always lied to her at times. She had thought plenty of people were "The One", but they were either not interested or taken. Heck, she had thought Atemu had been "The One", but that had been shot down quickly as soon as he saw Yugi. She thought of Yugi, what about him? She looked up at Mana, who looked to be concentrated on the screen in front of her. Well, what about her? Anzu blushed brightly, her heart responding more than ever to that question. What? She placed her hand on her heart, why was it doing that? She shook her head, trying to tell herself it was nothing as she pressed the purple button.
How would you show affection towards your lover?
Yellow: Natural Affection (Hugs, holding hands, etc.)
Brown: Loving Affection (Kissing in public, cuddling in corners, etc.)
Purple: Fun Affection (Teasing, fun arguments, etc.)
Blue: Tough Affection (Pretending to ignore, playful fighting, etc.)
Anzu narrowed her eyes in disapproval as she read the last answer. Tough Affection? That was just cruel! Why would anyone ignore the one they love?! Fun Affection seemed cute, but sometimes she would get annoyed a little too easily, so that was out of the question. Natural Affection seemed alright, but it was too boring for her tastes. She placed her hand against the brown button, smiling as she could see herself with the one she loved being cute with each other and cuddling together. There was only one problem with the daydream she was having, all she saw was a shadow and herself, as if her mind didn't know who she wanted to fill in the shadow...Anzu shook her head, watching as the screen changed.
Would you be afraid to show your affection in public?
Blue: Yes
Brown: No
Purple: Only in front of relatives (Parents/Siblings).
Yellow: Depends
Anzu knew the answer to that one instantly. No, she wouldn't be. If anything she would be more than willing! She would want to show off her lover in every way possible. To say, this is mine, and it belongs only to me! She would make sure her lover knew she loved them, that they belonged to her and no one else because she would love them forever. She smiled sadly, trying to think of the person who would be in the shadow. Who would be the one she loved? Who did she love? She sighed, pressing the blue button and darting her eyes to the words.
Would you spoil your lover?
Yellow: Sometimes, maybe.
Purple: I want to be the one spoiled.
Blue: If they want me to.
Brown: Not really.
To tell the truth, Anzu had always thought it would be sweet to be spoiled by a lover. Because if a lover spoiled you, that meant they wanted to make you happy, right? So, Anzu knew she wanted to the one spoiled, because then they could spoil her with whatever they wanted, and she could spoil them the exact same way in a more loving way! It could be a contest! She placed her hand over the purple button, smiling as she forced weight onto it and pressed the button.
Do you consider yourself a homosexual?
Yellow: No.
Brown: I don't know.
Blue: Yes.
Purple: I don't consider myself any sexuality.
Anzu's eyes widened, what?! She felt her face turn bright red at the question, what kind of question was this?! How is this even in a compatibility quiz? No, wait. It's not how, it's why! She looked up to Mana to find her looking at her expectantly. Anzu gulped, what was she supposed to answer? She knew she had a thing for Atemu, heck she had said earlier that she had thought he had been "The One". Plus, she seemed to like Yugi just a little...Anzu found her eyes locked onto the princess' without even noticing. Well, what are you choosing? The royal's eyes seemed to be asking. As if it was both a question and a request, but what request? Was she asking what she liked? Or if she possibly even...Anzu didn't know what to do, so she placed a hand on the brown button and pressed it. Mana closed her eyes in what looked to be an understanding gesture as Anzu looked back to the screen.
Do you believe in true love?
Brown: I think it exists, but it's not for me,
Yellow: Of course!
Purple: I believe it can happen.
Blue: I think it's rare.
Of course Anzu believed in true love. The world couldn't function without love, so it had to exist. She looked over the answers, feeling sad for the person who would pick the brown answer. Love was for everyone, who would choose such an answer when love is out there for the taking? Anzu knew she too would find someone, but she just hadn't found them yet...She felt the strong gaze of someone, the same gaze as always. She tilted her head up to find Mana looking at her once more, why did she look at her like that? As if she was a precious object, why? Anzu knew her heart and body was reacting to the princess, but she didn't understand what was going on. She hadn't felt like this before, she wished she understood but she didn't. Anzu pressed the yellow button, smiling at the princess as the royal turned a slight shade of red.
What do you value in a romantic partner?
Blue: Their Honesty.
Purple: Their Affection.
Brown: Their Loyalty.
Yellow: Their decision to choose me.
All of the answers were good. Anzu valued all of these answers, but she supposed that the question was supposed to be "What do you value in a romantic partner the most?". She looked over the answers carefully. Honesty was important, as was loyalty, but wouldn't it be the same thing? She looked down at the yellow answer and felt a strange hint of sorrow tugging at her heart, it was a heartbreaking answer. It was as if no one loved the person who chose that answer. Anzu shook her head, knowing she shouldn't put too much thought into the quiz. She pressed purple, knowing she cared for Affection more than anything.
If you had a crush on someone, what would you do?
Blue: I don't know.
Yellow: Hint it at them, but not actually tell them.
Brown: Outright tell them.
Purple: I've never had a crush, so I wouldn't know.
Anzu felt a bit guilty when she saw the answer she would pick the moment she read the answers. Okay, so she would go with the yellow answer. Could someone blame her? It was fun to hint it, because then if they noticed her hints then they would take it upon themselves to ask her out. It was kind of embarrassing for a girl to ask out a guy at the best of times, but for some reason it made her wonder...She found herself looking at Mana, and for once, not catching the royal's gaze. Mana looked at her side of the screen in an unreadable emotion, as if she was simply relaxing and watching a television show. Anzu couldn't believe she was asking herself this, but if it was two girls, who would ask out who first? Perhaps the more boyish one? Anzu knew she wasn't very boyish, but she had a temper, did that count? She shook her head quickly, stop thinking about things like that! She shoved her hand onto the yellow button, trying to stop her thoughts from thinking of more questions.
How far would you go for love?
Purple: It depends on the situation.
Blue: I would travel the world.
Yellow: I would always follow them.
Brown: As far as I am able to go.
Anzu didn't know how far she would go, it really depended on how much they loved each other. But she guessed this was if she was madly and completely in love. She pondered the thought, she agreed with all four. But the one she knew she would do the most, is the blue answer. If she was madly in love, she was willing to go anywhere with them. She would travel all across the world, just to be with them. Anzu pushed down on the blue button, not noticing Mana's surprised look as she did so. Anzu would be willing to travel the world, huh?
Anzu waited patiently, gasping when all of a sudden the words PLEASE LOOK UP AT THE MAIN SCREEN appeared in front of her. She nodded to no one in particular, looking up at the screen above her and Mana. She stared at the screen, her mouth opening slightly in surprise. Really?
Final Compatibility Score: 80%
What an excellent pair!
"I knew it." Mana whispered under her breath, smiling softly at the answer. Anzu knew she was blushing more than ever now, they were 80% compatible?! That was the highest then! No one else had gotten above 70% from what she heard from Mana, so that meant...Anzu was the most compatible with the princess! She felt her heart go faster, what did that mean?! Anzu let out a gasp as her mind replaced the shadow with Mana, the two of them laying against each other, Anzu laying her head on her shoulder and Mana with her head resting on top of Anzu's.
"Anzu?" Mana whispered softly, confused as she witnessed Anzu begin to shiver and her face turn brighter. Was she okay? She stood up, walking to Anzu's side and looking down at her.
"Anzu, are you okay?" Mana asked, concern erupting from her voice. Anzu turned her eyes to Mana, her eyes beginning to fill with tears of confusion. Mana's eyes widened, why was she crying? Did the quiz upset her?
"I-I don't...I..." Anzu sniffled, her voice cracking. "I don't know what's going..." Mana didn't know what to do, what was wrong with her? What did she not know? She leaned forward, wrapping her arms around the shivering girl. Why was this beautiful girl crying? Why was the one girl she was beginning to fall for begin to cry like this? Was she sad they got a high score? Was she sad that they hadn't gotten a 90%?
"I'm confused, Mana..." Anzu buried her face in Mana's shoulder, her tears staining the royal's uniform. "I can't be like this...I-It's not...I'm not...I've always..." Anzu knew why she was crying, she knew it and she couldn't help it. She always felt attraction to guys, so why did she always act like this toward Mana. It confused her, it scared her, what was the princess to her?!
"Anzu..." Mana whispered, placing a soft kiss on the top of her head. She felt the girl tense in her arms at that. Was it because of her flirting and staring that she was like this? She felt Anzu pull back, rubbing at her eyes with a sleeve. Mana looked down at her, worried for the poor girl.
"Mana, can..." Anzu took a deep breath, composing herself. "Can you please walk me to my dorm, I...I think I should go rest." Mana's eyes softened, nodding as she decided to risk a movement and placed her hand in Anzu's, waiting for her to jerk her hand away. But instead, she felt Anzu tighten her grip around her hand, forcing her own heart to pulsate. She looked down at Anzu, making the girl look back at her, a human instinct. Mana smiled sadly down at her, perhaps she would ask her later, but right now...
She just wanted to enjoy walking her back to her dorm.

Yugi glared across the table he was sitting at, his arms crossed as he watched the royal on the other side. Oh, how he dared him to make one move toward him. He was only doing this damn quiz because of a stupid bet he had decided to take. But the damn royal was eying him as if he was the most amusing person in the world. And to put it in simple terms, it was making him feel weird.
"You do know that you're going to lose this bet, right?" Yugi taunted, his eyes narrowing at the prince across from him. Atemu smirked at him, taking the taunt with an amused stare.
"Always so confident, Yugi." Atemu purred, loving how Yugi seemed to tense up and how his face turned a lovely shade of velvet. Yugi couldn't hate him, he knew this, and he would always know this. No one reacted to flirting like that if they hated the other person. Oh no, whatever Yugi felt for him was far from hate, but perhaps it wasn't close to love, but none the less, it's better than hate.
"You are too, you stupid royal." Yugi countered, looking away from the crimson orbs of his and down at the buttons in front of him. Atemu smiled as he watched Yugi look back and forth between the buttons and screen, was he confused?
"In order to start the quiz, you must press the button that is flickering." Atemu began to explain. "From what I had seen from other students who came here, the one that is flickering is the purple one, correct?" Yugi looked at the purple button, noticing how it did seem to flicker every now and again.
"Yeah, that's right." Yugi told him, hating how he was right. But he had been stuck here for a good amount of time, so he didn't really question his knowledge of the quiz.
"All you need to do is press the button that corresponds with how you really feel about the questions asked." Atemu continued. "Once you are done with all of the questions then on the main computer," He pointed at the large screen displayed above them. "Our compatibility score will be listed there along with a silly little comment such as; Congratulations or something along those lines." Yugi breathed through his nose and nodded in response. Okay, so in order for him to get lower than a 70%, all he had to do was to be himself.
It was obvious, at least to him, that him and Atemu seemed to be almost polar opposites. He was tall, Yugi was short, deep voice, high voice, all the like. They were only similar slightly in personality and manners, but even then, there was no way for them to be compatible. Yugi thought he was too smart to be compatible with a dumb blind as hell royal.
"Don't talk to me when I take this." Yugi demanded. "Because if you do, I might get distracted." Atemu rose an amused eyebrow and chuckled.
"Does my voice distract you, Yugi?" Atemu teased, winking and watching as Yugi began to flush once more. The damn royal always did that to him, Yugi thought. His heart would beat fast at times, and he felt his face flame up. He hated the prince, so what was all of these reactions?
"Don't count on it." Yugi hissed. "I find your voice annoying as hell." Atemu cringed, what was with the lovely prince of the sun today? Well, you forced another bet on him, that's one thing. Atemu pouted at his comment, he did not force him. He simply suggested it, and Yugi took it.
"If you say so." Atemu chuckled, looking at Yugi fondly. "Go on, start whenever you are ready." Yugi nodded in response, sending one last harsh glare at the royal as he slammed his hand on the purple button and sent a question flaring up at him.
Are you a boy or are you a girl?
Blue: Boy
Purple: Girl
Yugi didn't know whether to laugh or just stare at the screen. Great, it was one of those quizzes. What was it going to ask him now? Favorite color of the rainbow? I pick none, we done yet? Yugi was tempted to laugh at his own joke but tossed the chuckles to the side. He couldn't laugh right now, if he did the stupid royal across from him would probably look at him funny again. Yugi could see Atemu staring at his own screen, what did the guy still think he was a girl? The stupid prince should have known that he was a boy by now, especially after...Yugi could feel himself react to the memory, what a horrible memory...He pressed the blue button confidently and watched as the screen changed. Huh, it went pretty fast.
How do you choose "The One"?
Purple: I don't know.
Brown: I can feel it in my heart.
Blue: I choose based on who makes me happy.
Yellow: I don't choose, they choose me.
The One? Yugi questioned himself, what the hell was that? Oh, wait. Yugi knew what it was, he had seen the movies and read the books. The one was the person you were in love with, wasn't it? He had to admit, he only thought of one person when he processed the question, and that was Anzu. At one point, he had a crush on her, and a part of him still did in a way. But it wasn't big enough to go on, so he ignored it and soon it died away slowly only leaving a small remaining spec. How does someone choose "The One"? Yugi shook his head, he didn't know. He placed his hand on the purple button once more, pressing down and looking at the screen.
How would you show affection towards your lover?
Yellow: Natural Affection (Hugs, holding hands, etc.)
Brown: Loving Affection (Kissing in public, cuddling in corners, etc.)
Blue: Fun Affection (Teasing, fun arguments, etc.)
Purple: Tough Affection (Pretending to ignore, playful fighting, etc.)
Yugi had to chuckle a small amount at these answers, he didn't even care that Atemu glanced at him when he did. It was funny, these examples with the different kinds of Affections. The funniest was Tough, what kind of relationship is like that? Talk about tough love! Yugi ghosted his eyes over Natural Affection, it seemed the most normal and sweetest kind of love. The most natural kind of love, is the best kind of love. He pressed down on Yellow, not noticing how Atemu seemed to smile as he chose that answer.
Would you be afraid to show your affection in public?
Blue: Yes.
Brown: No.
Yellow: Only in front of relatives (Parents/Siblings).
Purple: Depends.
Yugi knew he wasn't afraid to show affection toward his friends in public. But being romantic in public? Yugi never really was romantic with anyone in public, sure he had played with his friends, but many people knew that the four of his friends were just best buds. He never had a real romantic affection being shown in public...Expect for the prince kneeling in front of him and kissing his hand...Yugi felt his body flush at the remembrance of the scene, the very first day that royal came to the school. He shook his head, pressing his palm against blue and waited patiently for the next question.
Would you spoil your lover?
Blue: Sometimes, maybe.
Yellow: I want to be the one spoiled.
Purple: If they want me to.
Brown: Not really.
Yugi tilted his head in thought. Can't it be both ways? Shouldn't lovers be able to spoil each other? One night a lover could spoil the other with a nice dinner and movie, while the other could spoil their lover by just making them lunch for work and cleaning the house. A mutual spoiling seemed to be the best answer, but it wasn't on here...He shrugged, selecting blue once more and looking at the screen.
Do you consider yourself a homosexual?
Brown: No.
Yellow: I don't know.
Purple: Yes.
Blue: I don't consider myself any sexuality.
Well then! This just got kinda awkward! Yugi knew it was immature to start giggling at this sort of question, but it was so random! What kind of question like this would be in a compatible quiz, I mean come on! He had expected are you a boy or girl, but to ask if he was homosexual?! It was funny! Yugi's giggles evolved to laughter, his eyes closing and unknowing of Atemu's red faced gaze as he watched Yugi. He was so beautiful when he was happy, and his laughter was like little bells ringing...Yugi stopped laughing, wiping a tear from his eye and looking at the screen. No, he didn't consider himself a homosexual at all really. He pushed the brown button, not noticing Atemu snap out of his dreamlike stance and shrug at his answer. Oh well, he could change that.
Do you believe in true love?
Purple: I think it exists, but it's not for me.
Blue: Of course!
Brown: I believe it can happen.
Yellow: I think it's rare.
True love? Yugi pondered the thought. True love was a thing that existed in movies, romance novels, and songs, but he knew it was real. He had seen happy couples stay together for a long time, so it had to exist. He knew his parents were in love, even though he barely saw them now, but he knew they did. But, the more Yugi thought about it, the more he thought it wasn't really for him. He was all about studying and getting through school, he never really cared for romance. Like he had said before, he had a small thing for Anzu, but even that was hardly anything now. True love was out there, but it wasn't for him. He gently pressed down on the purple button, causing Atemu to look at him sadly.
"That's a lie, you know." Atemu spoke out, scaring Yugi from the sudden statement. Yugi looked at him, his eyes narrowed in question.
"What's a lie?" He asked, confused at what he was saying. He had told him to stay quiet, but what did that mean?
"True love is for everyone..." Atemu narrowed his eyes as well, capturing Yugi's amethyst orbs with his crimson ones. "Yugi..." He whispered softly, knowing that the boy could hear him. Yugi's eyes widened, his heart tightening all of a sudden. It hurt him, but he knew it wasn't hurting for a bad reason, and that was not good. He tore his eyes away from the royal's strong gaze and turned his eyes to the computer, trying to calm his heart down.
What do you value in a romantic partner?
Brown: Their Honesty.
Blue: Their Affection.
Purple: Their Loyalty.
Yellow: Their decision to choose me.
All of these were important, that was for sure. Yugi knew that much at least. He took a deep breath, feeling his body finally calm down as he gazed upon the answers again. Yellow was kind of sad, but it was understandable. It probably feels nice to be chosen, to be the one someone wants to love, that someone wants to be with for the rest of their lives. Yugi couldn't help looking up at the prince, Atemu was looking at the screen intently, as if weighing all the answers in his mind. He looked serious like that, a royal leader with a serious gaze with plenty of knowledge. Yugi let out a soft scoff as he lowered his eyes back to the computer, what was he being stupid? He had only seen Atemu like that a few times, but a majority of the times he was just a flirty pervert...and...Yugi hated it when his mind added sweet or nice to the list. He sighed, telling himself he wanted a honest lover whenever he got one and pressed the brown button.
If you had a crush on someone, what would you do?
Purple: I don't know.
Blue: Hint it at them, but not actually tell them.
Yellow: Outright tell them.
Brown: I've never had a crush, so I wouldn't know.
Yugi didn't know. He really, honestly, did not know. He had a crush, but he never did anything about it. Because it wasn't really important to him, why bring up something that would never evolve into something anyway? It was a waste of time, really. But maybe if the crush was big enough, he would do something...He shook his head, he really had no clue. He placed a hand on the purple button, noticing how Atemu seemed to raise an eyebrow at that, as if it made sense to him. Whatever, how the royal reacted to his answers didn't affect him at all.
How far would you go for love?
Blue:It depends on the situation.
Purple: I would travel the world.
Brown: I would always follow them.
Yellow: As far as I am able to go.
Yugi's muscles tensed, what? How far would he go for love? He felt his mouth run dry at such a simple question, he didn't know. How would he know? This wasn't just a standard question, it was kind of serious! Yugi had to think, would I follow them, or would I just simply do what I always did and stay where I want to stay. It honestly, and completely, depended on the situation. What if he wanted to follow them but he had no money? He couldn't follow them then! He sighed, he always liked being realistic. It wasn't romantic, but Yugi didn't care. It was better to be realistic then to be hanging on dreams that would never come true. He pressed down on the blue button, watching as the screen told him to wait a few seconds.
Yugi watched the screen as it put up in bold letters; PLEASE LOOK UP AT THE MAIN SCREEN. He saw Atemu raise his head to the main screen, revealing nothing of what it said on his face. That meant Yugi had to look himself. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, adjusting his face so that as soon as he opened his eyes he would see the result. Yugi opened his eyes, and immediately he felt his face go bright red and his heart race in panic.
Final Compatibility Score: 90%!
You're a match made in Heaven!
Atemu smirked at the final score. Of course they were a match made in Heaven, after all the gods had led him to Yugi. He turned his head to see Yugi's eyes widened and his mouth gaped in shock, his face a bright crimson color that almost rivaled his eyes. He allowed a chuckle to escape his lips as he stood up and walked over to the stunned boy.
"Yugi." Atemu spoke softly as he went to Yugi's side. Yugi looked up, not knowing how to react when the prince reached down and grabbed his wrist, pulling him up gently and placing a gentle hand on his cheek. He didn't stop him from touching him though, he was too shocked to do anything. His heart was racing, his body was burning, he had no idea what was going on.
"Come now, let us get you a chair so you may sit beside me." Atemu smiled softly at the small boy. Yugi finally regained his senses, his eyes narrowing into a glare as he felt his cheek being held. Why bother moving his head? He was probably going to flirt with him the whole time he was stuck here anyway. Yugi nodded angrily, allowing Atemu to guide him out of the curtains to the surprised gazes of the other students. Yugi did a quick walk to put himself beside the prince. He turned his head toward the royal, seeing nothing but happiness and success in Atemu's eyes. Okay, so he looked okay when happy, but Yugi still felt nothing expect dislike for the guy. He sighed.
"So, what am I teaching you tomorrow?"
: This took...FOREVER. Anyway, I hoped you enjoyed this chapter! I want to thank everyone for giving me questions to put in the quiz, it was a lot of fun to put together! Also, I have a little question for all of you! I based the buttons off of certain colors, they might not be the same color name, but they are somewhat the same. What are the colors of the buttons based off of? I'll see you in the next chapter! Please review and thank you again!
