:Hi guys! My tests are done for now and I'm on fall break! Yay! I should be able to update more now, but then again I still have stuff to do with my family (Babysitting cousins...) I wasn't allowed to type for a while because of my boyfriend, he told me to rest until I was ready to write again. So, here I am! I hope you enjoy this chapter!:
Malik walked beside Bakura, his heart hammering as they made their way, side by side, to the school's main gate. He looked in the corner of his eye, glancing at Bakura as he walked forward, his arms behind his head, he looked so relaxed. Malik bit his lip, looking away from his interest.
He had been so panicked this morning, and yet Bakura looked like this wasn't that big a deal! Was he the only one worried about this sort of thing? He had woken up early in the morning, trying to think of things to do that day with him. Where would they go? What kind of things would Bakura like? Would he want to go somewhere fancy because he was a royal? Would he be disappointed if he didn't take him to some exotic place? Ugh! Malik hated this! He forced himself to settle on doing something, but it wasn't even that great! What would happen if Bakura didn't like what he wanted to do?!
The two boys walked past the gate, stopping as they passed through it. Bakura looked left and right, as if looking for something. What was he looking for? Malik watched him, noticing how he began to look down at him.
"So." Bakura spoke, breaking the awkward silence that had enveloped over the two. "We walking?" Malik blushed, he hadn't even thinking of transportation. He knew there was something he had forgotten! He had an idea of what he wanted to do, after he had thought about it for a while. But why, oh, why didn't he think of transportation?!
"I-I guess..." Malik uttered out, his face flushed in embarrassment. "I-I didn't really plan on any sort of transportation." Bakura rose an eyebrow, surprised for a moment. He wished he had a car, he could have driven them, but oh well.
"That's fine, but..." Bakura allowed a mocking smirk to come onto his face. "I would have assumed that being a royal and all, you would have the ability to summon limos whenever you pleased." Malik blinked at that, taking note of the smirk and beginning to smile. He let out a small chuckle, making Bakura chuckle as well. He knew what he was doing now, he was trying to lighten the mood.
"I don't have that ability." Malik laughed. "Seto does though, honestly I don't even know how he can do that." Bakura smiled at the royal, laughing. Well, no wonder the guy would have the ability to do that sort of thing. He was the adviser, he probably had the money, but being a royal...
"With you being a royal I would have assumed you had plenty of money to do such a thing." Bakura commented. "After all, you royals did always bring a limo to the school..." Malik pouted at that, he found it slightly insulting to be called a royal now. He liked the title, but when he said it like that, it was hurtful.
"I'm not a royal." Malik told him, causing Bakura to look at him confused. "I'm a normal person. I just happened to be friends with the Pharaoh's son and daughter..." He looked down, his voice getting softer. It wasn't that he didn't like being treated like a royal, it was just that he wasn't one. Why the school forced had the title of royal on him, he would never know. He wondered if Seto felt this way, he wasn't technically a royal either.
"No." Bakura spoke, making Malik look up at him, he smirked at the tanned teen. "You're a royal in my eyes." Malik blinked in confusion, darting his eyes to the side. He felt his heart begin to pound, Bakura had made him feel insulted by being called a royal, now he was making him flustered.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Malik grumbled. "You said that royals had money, and made it sound as if we had-"
"Just because I called you a royal doesn't mean you're like a royal." Bakura tried to explain. "I was just making a point at how royals always seemed to ride around in limos whenever they wanted." Malik narrowed his eyes, trying to stop his heart from pounding when he turned his eyes to Bakura, glaring at the silver haired teen.
"But I'm not a royal." Malik spat out, getting slightly angry. "And what else could it mean?" Malik liked Bakura, but he was getting angry and he didn't know why. Why was it that when he called him a royal, he got so angered? He didn't deserve the title, he wasn't anything fancy. Did Bakura like him because he was royalty? Did he even really like him like that? He was thinking that he did, but what if it was a lie?
"Malik, you look like royalty." Malik's eyes widened, what? Bakura smiled, labeling an apology in his gaze. He took a step forward, placing a hand on Malik's cheek and staring into his eyes. Malik's face began to heat up, his heart began to speed up again.
"I say you're a royal in my eyes because of how you look." Bakura explained, his voice soft. "Your eyes are an amazing shade of violet, your face is breathtaking, your hair is the beautiful color of sand, and honestly, even though it's annoying at times." He leaned forward, whispering in Malik's ear. "Your voice makes me forget everything." Malik's eyes widened more, his face becoming more red than before. What? What did he say?
"B-Bakura?" Malik uttered out as Bakura backed away. He smiled at him, letting go of his face.
"Do you feel better?" Bakura questioned, raising an eyebrow at the royal. Malik nodded quickly in response, trying to calm himself down from what had just happened. Bakura had said his eyes were amazing, his face was breathtaking, his hair was beautiful, his voice...Malik didn't know how to respond. He had no words to describe how happy he was, and wait, they hadn't even spent a whole hour together yet!
"Good." Bakura smiled. "Do you have an idea of where you want to go?" Malik nodded again, his voice locked in his throat. He couldn't think straight really, his mind was swarming with too many thoughts and had lost the ability to even process anything anymore. Bakura let out a chuckle, finding it funny, and quite adorable to find Malik at a lost for words.
"Well." Bakura gestured forward. "Lead the way, Malik." Malik blushed brighter, nodding once again to turn left and to begin walking. Bakura rose an eyebrow, following from behind and placing his hands in his pockets. Did Malik know where he was going? Maybe he was researching about it this morning when he couldn't find Atemu and Mana? He sighed, looking at the back of the royal's head, he noticed how he was walking stiffly yet relaxed at the same time. That was odd...
Bakura stopped, his eyes widening as he processed what had happened in the past five minutes. He looked down at the concrete, taking everything in. He had done something to cheer up Malik, but what he had told him...He felt his heart tighten and his face begin to burn, no way. He hadn't done that, did he? Well, it was to cheer the royal up, so why get worked up about it? Bakura ran to the side, placing his hands on the stone wall of the school's gate and standing there to calm himself down.
Malik stopped walking, turning himself around. He blinked in confusion at what he saw. He felt his mind clear up finally, finding the current situation interesting, and undeniably funny. He watched from afar, before finally beginning to speak.
"Bakura, why are you banging your head against the wall?
()()()()()()()()
Bakura pouted, turning his head to the side as his bright red face refused to turn back into it's normal color. He felt embarrassed now, why did he even do such a thing?! Telling Malik all those compliments, it was to make him feel better, but what if it made the date more awkward? Was flirting on a date even acceptable? Well dating was a time to be nicer to the person you liked, but he didn't like Malik that way...He glanced the side, watching as Malik walked beside him, the awkward atmosphere surrounding them gone from what was said previously.
Malik looked in the corner of his eyes, noticing Bakura staring at him. He smiled sweetly at him, making the poor teen begin to blush harder than he actually was. He didn't know why he was suddenly embarrassed, but it was funny and it helped make him feel better. He looked back to the front of him, trying to remember the directions to where he was leading them. He knew that they had to be close by now...
"Hey, Bakura?" Malik asked, gaining the teen's attention. "Do you like Museums?" He felt stupid asking this question, why ask now? Bakura blinked in surprise, did he like Museums?
"Like?" Bakura chuckled, feeling slightly excited. "I love Museums." Malik looked toward Bakura, finding a smile on the other teen's face. He loved Museums?!
"R-Really?"
"Yeah, why?" Bakura smirked, already knowing the answer. So, that's where they were going. He had been excited due to this being his first date, but now he was even more excited. A Museum! He loved Museums, but he hoped it wasn't dedicated to art. He loved them, but art wasn't his forte. He liked ones that were based around Ancient Artifacts, or something that was centered around Mythical objects. Well, he guessed that was the reason he was in weird classes.
Malik was relieved, he couldn't believe his luck. He guessed on where to take Bakura, he had seen him in a strange classroom before, and from what he remembered he had met him in a class based around digging and finding stuff in the ground, something about artifacts? So, the only thing that he felt that Bakura would like would be a Museum.
"I was just..." Malik whispered, trying to hide his smile. "You know, wondering..." Bakura let out a laugh at that, he wasn't good at lying. He observed the royal, taking in his features and feeling himself blush as he remembered what he had told him. Did he really think all of those things? He had spoken without thinking, what had happened to him at that moment? It was just to make him feel better, right?
The two boys walked, before Malik let out a giant smile and gestured for Bakura to follow him as he moved faster. Bakura followed obediently, making his way beside the royal and allowing him to guide him. Malik stopped in front of a giant building, placing his hands on his hips and pointing at the structure. Bakura placed himself beside him, looking to the building and feeling his eyes widen as they observed the place.
It looked like your standard Museum, giant building, tan color, stone steps and large columns and doors. But the thing that captured Bakura's eyes was the plaque that displayed the name; The Museum of Aegyptus. He gulped, no way! He looked up at the building, his facial expression displaying how happy he was. He always read about the Museum, hearing about how it had many Artifacts based off of the Ancient times of Egypt. He liked Egypt, it was why he and Yugi were in Ancient Artifacts together. Both of them liked Egypt, and it would make them feel like Archeologists, plus they would learn about Egypt in the class.
"You look happy." Malik commented, placing his hands behind his back and smiling, feeling proud of himself. Bakura looked to the side, letting out his own smile.
"How did you-"
"I researched this morning, oh and..." Malik reached into his pocket, pulling out a handful of money. Bakura's eyes widened. "Seto gave me this." This place was expensive to go into, but Bakura couldn't even count how much money Malik held in his hands. Rich royals...He watched as Malik placed the money back in his pocket and took a step forward, he turned around, holding out a hand.
"Come on." Malik said. "We can't just stand around, don't you want to go in?" Bakura blinked as he looked at the royal, he looked cute, holding out a hand to him and smiling like that. Bakura could feel his face beginning to heat up again, he quickly took the hand, dragging the royal up the steps to, hopefully, make it impossible for Malik to notice his face.
The inside of the place was, again, a normal Museum. The area was larger than it seemed from the outside, the whole area being spacious and displaying many hallways with black, shined marble floors, while the walls were a sand color, allowing many to know what kind of theme they were trying to show. Bakura stood in awe, looking around and taking in the entire area as his grip on Malik's hand tightened.
Malik blushed and let out a soft chuckle, squeezing Bakura's hand back and making the boy gasp slightly. Bakura turned his head in Malik's direction, finding himself locked in the violet gaze of the royal. Malik smiled, giving another squeeze to his hand.
"I'm going to go pay for us." Malik told him. "Okay?" Bakura nodded in agreement, letting Malik slide his hand out of his grip gently. He watched him as he made his way to a female dressed in a long tan dress, he had to assume they were acquired to dress up to give the place a better Egyptian feeling. Bakura found himself closing and opening his hand, as he missed the feeling of Malik's hand in his. What was wrong with him? First he had said some weird things, now he missed holding hands with the royal. Was this normal for a date?
Malik walked back to Bakura, looking down at his hand, finding it weird to see him clutching his fist like that. He internally shrugged, oh well, maybe he would tell him why he was doing that later.
"Come on, we can go in now." Malik said, taking hold of Bakura's clutching fist. Bakura was slightly taken back by this, before he noticed what was happening and began to hold hands again with the royal. Their hands fit together nicely. As if the two hands were pieces of a puzzle...Great, Bakura thought, now I'm thinking like a strange poet. Maybe even like Anzu...Ugh...
"No tour guide?" Bakura questioned, looking back at the person Malik had paid. Malik shook his head, looking around as they passed numerous works of Egyptian arts.
"Nah." Malik replied. "I told them we didn't need one." Being from Egypt, he didn't find these paintings entirely interesting, but since they were from the past it was kind of cool. Some of the work in here was strange, exotic, funny, scary, and...Malik blushed as he focused on a large pot with some very erotic paintings on it. Bakura was looking at the other side, before he noticed how Malik's hand began to stiffen. He turned his head, wanting to know what was wrong before he noticed the pottery. Bakura began to laugh, having to place his free hand on his mouth to muffle his laughter so he wasn't too loud.
"I-Is this legal?!" Malik whispered in a confused, panicky tone. Didn't kids come into this Museum?! This wasn't right! Bakura tried to stifle his laughter as he made an attempt to speak.
"I-It's..." Bakura took a deep breath, removing his hand from his mouth. "It's porn pottery, people would make them and sell them." He looked at Malik expediently and rose an amused eyebrow. "What? Egypt doesn't sell these anymore?" Malik's face turned bright red at the question.
"How would I know?!"
"Well you're from Egypt."
"Why are you still staring at it?!"
"It's interesting, very detailed piece of work. See how they made the male's-"
"Okay, no more looking at naughty pots!" Malik whispered hastily, tightening his grip on Bakura's hand and dragging him away from the naughty pot. Bakura couldn't help finding this sort of response funny, he had seen this kind of thing in his Mythology class all the time. Heck Ms. Ishtar had brought in some at one point, and even said that it had belonged to her great grandfather! It was an awkward lecture that day, but he had gotten an A on the quiz that mentioned the weird pottery.
Malik darted his eyes around the next area, trying not to see any more erotic pottery as they entered it. Bakura took note of what the area was called, there was no way there was anything erotic in this section. Something about ancient tablets and such...He had heard of them, but...Bakura's eyes widened when they rested on a giant illuminated case that rested in the center of the whole room, as if that was supposed to the main attraction of this area. He tugged on Malik's hand, who at that moment, had been looking at some weird monster drawn on stone.
"Hey, let's go check that out." Bakura whispered, gesturing to the large case. Malik turned his eyes to Bakura, pouting at the boy.
"But I'm looking at this thing, it reminds me of you!"
"Tell me when you're done then, I'm going to go look at the case." Bakura told him, beginning to let go of the royal's hand, only to have Malik's grip tighten. He let out a slight gasp, turning his eyes to him. Malik smiled at him.
"I'm done, we can go over there now." Bakura narrowed his eyes, blushing as he began to lead them away from the item.
"What were you looking at anyway?"
"It was a weird tablet thing with a monster on it. It reminded me of you though."
"Oh? What's it called?
"Diabound, it had your expression and how you're always frowning."
"I am not always frowning."
"Well, now you're not." Bakura looked at him confused, only to have him smile cheekily at him. He grumbled, his cheeks becoming dusted with pink as the royal continued to smile as he led them to the case in the center. The two looked down at the case, their eyes widening at what was inside.
Inside the case rested seven golden items, making them face up. A strange pyramid shaped object was placed in the center of the items, making the other six surround it, in the center of the pyramid was an Egyptian eye. Bakura's eyes widened when he noticed that the Egyptian eye design was on all seven of them, there was an actual eye, a ring with a pyramid in the center of it and spikes dangling along the edges, a strange scale, a key that was in the shape of an ankh, a rod with what seemed to be another Egyptian eye at the top with spiked wings, and a ring that looked to resemble a necklace or choker of some sort. The gold shined at the two teens, making them gaze at the items with deep interest. Bakura looked down to the description that was placed in front of the case.
The Millennium Items
The Seven Millennium Items of Ancient Egypt, donated generously by the Royal Family. According to legends, Aknadid, the young twin brother of Pharaoh Aknamkanon, sacrificed ninety-nine souls to create these objects using an ancient, long forgotten ritual. The true purpose of these objects have been lost to the fabrics of time, however, it is said they were once used to keep the magic of the Shadow Realm sealed away forever.
Bakura smiled, he had learned about these items. His past had been connected to them, and he had been taught about them. How powerful these were, how ancient they were. He looked over them all, feeling their once powerful aura through the glass. Oh, how he wished to have seen the past, just to see their powers come into play.
Malik's eyes widened as he gazed at Bakura, he looked entranced by the objects. Did he study about these items? He had been told about them from Seto, but he never knew that they had actually existed. He smiled, how long did it take for this Museum to persuade the Pharaoh to allow them to take these items into this place? He felt Bakura squeeze his hand, he looked up to find him smiling at him and gesturing at the items.
"Which one is your favorite?" Bakura asked, making Malik blink in confusion. He looked down at the objects, they were all beautiful in their own strange, and slightly creepy way, but...Malik pointed to the rod.
"That one." Malik spoke. "It looks interesting, as if it could have been used as a weapon." Bakura chuckled at the response.
"The Millennium Rod, huh?" Bakura placed a hand over it, resting his palm on the glass. "It contained the ability to control the minds of others, and..." He moved his eyes up, trailing over to the Diabound monster Malik had been telling him about. "It sealed away monsters in stone tablets, or so they say." Malik felt a strange shiver run throughout his body, it was creepy when Bakura spoke like that. His voice airy and mystical. He watched as Bakura trailed his hands over to the ring shaped item.
"My favorite has to be The Millennium Ring." Bakura told him. "It had the ability to allow it's owner to find whatever they wished. It divided the soul of the bearer into two halves, one light, one dark. And lastly..." Bakura moved his eyes to Malik, staring into his eyes. "It contained the soul of the monster, Zorc Necrophades; an ancient, powerful monster." Malik gulped as Bakura stared at him, his orbs locking onto him as if he were prey. Bakura let out an airy chuckle, as if he was calming down. He was reminding himself of his teachers, Shadi and Ms. Ishtar.
"Sorry." Bakura smiled, his voice returning to normal. "Am I frightening you?" Malik felt his mouth run dry, what had happened to him? He had felt so entranced by how Bakura spoke, as if he was being hypothesized by this teen. He blushed, shaking his head.
"Actually..." Malik let out a nervous, breathy laugh. "You were doing quite the opposite." Bakura rose an eyebrow, wasn't the opposite of that soothing? He wasn't soothing him, that was for sure. So, what was he doing? He tried to figure it out, looking at how Malik looked. His hand was sweaty, his face was flushed...Was he getting excited? Bakura blushed, looking away and biting his lip for a moment. That's odd...
Bakura looked to the side, darting his eyes around before it rested on a giant stone taking up an entire wall. What was so big that it required an entire section of the room? He moved to the stone, dragging Malik with him, who had let out a gasp at the sudden movement. The two stood in front of the rock, it depicted a strange sign, the symbol on it seemed to illuminate in a strange, eerie green glow. It was a giant ring with a star in the center, many different symbols were scattered inside the ring. Malik felt a strange chill go over his body, he placed himself behind Bakura. Bakura knew he had read about this before in Demonology at one point, he knew he did...But he just couldn't put his finger on what it was. He looked down at the description of the object.
The Seal of Orichalcos
This rock, depicting the strange symbol, was discovered in the ruins of what is now believed to be the sunken city of Atlantis. Glyphs in the city depict the seal as being a holy symbol to Leviathan, a god of Ancient Atlantian religion. Recent findings have shown sacrificial offerings being made to the Leviathan, seemingly a punishment for losing in a competition or battle.
"Bakura..." Malik uttered out, feeling frightened by the symbol. Bakura sighed, remembering the lesson from when he had learned about this. He had to act out a battle from the past, him being the one who lost. Their soul would be sucked out and sent to the god, he had put on an interesting show. But the class had said it was frightening to even think about. He tightened his grip on Malik's hand, leading him away from the once evil symbol.
Malik allowed himself to be led away, before turning his eyes to the side and noticing two tablets he knew far too well. He smiled brightly, his previous fear forgotten as he began to drag Bakura, breaking them away from their other line of destination. Bakura let out a confused grunt as Malik dragged him to two other tablets, they resembled the monster tablets he had learned about, but these were bigger.
One tablet held a giant dragon, it's eyes a shining blue color in the stone and at the bottom, as if placed in there as a reminder, was a carving of a long haired girl and a man who looked like a priest. They were holding hands, staring at each other, as if they were about to embrace. Malik already knew what this was, he had learned about it because of Seto. Bakura, however, didn't. He looked at the plaque, confused deeply about the tablet.
The Stone of The Blue Eyed Dragon
This stone depicts an ancient story, know as the Legend of the Blue Eyed Maiden. It tells a story of Kisara, a maiden who had sacrificed her life for her lover, Priest Seth. It was said she had the power of an Ancient Dragon, whom she used to protect Seth for the kindness he had shown her, for the rest of eternity.
Bakura blinked in surprise, that was kind of...He looked at Malik who was admiring the stone.
"It's such a sad love story..." Malik whispered, turning his eyes to Bakura. "Seto loves the story though, Priest Seth was his ancestor." It made sense, Seth, Seto, they sounded the same. "He admires the Blue Eyed Dragon, saying that without it's help, Egypt wouldn't be the same today." Malik let out a giggle. "He would read the story of Kisara to the three of us, Atemu, Mana, and I." Bakura smiled, he couldn't see Seto doing that sort of thing, but he didn't really know the guy. So, he couldn't say anything really.
"It sounds like you four are close friends." Malik laughed at that.
"I would hope so." Malik laughed more. "We've known each other for a while now." He looked to the side, to the stone that rested nearby. He smiled and pointed at it. "Here, look at this!" Bakura looked to the stone and allowed Malik to lead him to it.
This stone held two people raising a hand to each other, a Priest and a Pharaoh, above them rested three small stone tablets. One looked to be a dragon, one with two mouths, another looked to be a large, strong man, and the last one was also a dragon, looking larger than the other two. Bakura knew these well, he smiled as he remembered the names of these ancient gods. He darted his eyes to the nearby plaque.
The Tablet of Egyptian Gods
The Three Gods of Egyptian Religion are depicted on this tablet. Slifier, the dragon god of life, death, and fertility. Obelisk, known as the "Tormentor", was the god of war. The Winged Dragon of Ra, god of the sun, and the leader of the Divine Council. It was said that the Pharaoh had the ability to summon their power and protect their people from harm.
"I always liked Ra the most." Malik commented, staring at the dragon god. "I always loved the sun, and always admired the gods, so with him being the leader, I suppose it was only natural that I liked him." Bakura smiled, to know that Malik liked this sort of them made him happy. So, they shared the same interest somewhat...He felt his face warm up again, what was he doing? Was he really blushing over something like that? Was he stupid? He took a deep breath, trying to tell himself that even though Malik liked the same kind of things he did, didn't mean he had to get so happy about it!
"Bakura?" Malik uttered out, gaining the boys attention. Bakura and Malik looked at each other, smiling. Malik was having fun, a lot of fun. He tightened his hold on Bakura's hand. "You wanna move on?" Bakura chuckled and nodded, squeezing his hand in response.
"Yeah."

Bakura wasn't surprised to find a gift shop in the Museum. After all, most Museums did. They had walked in, hand-in-hand, finding themselves surrounded by merchandise. They had souvenirs based on every area of the place!
"Hey, Bakura." Malik spoke, trying to get him to stop looking around confused. "I'm going to go look at something, okay?" Bakura nodded, allowing himself to let go of Malik's hand. They had held hands the whole time, making his hand slightly tired and incredibly sweaty, but he didn't mind. He wouldn't tell him this, but he liked holding hands with the royal. It was nice...
He walked around the gift shop, turning his head to find stuffed animals of the Egyptian Gods and multiple other monsters. He picked up Ra, holding it in his hands and noticing how well it was made. The details were dead on and...He squeezed it, it was soft as hell. Bakura looked over at Malik near the other side of the store and smirked, making his way over to him.
Malik picked up a key chain, dangling it on his index finger. It resembled the Millennium Rod and it was kind of cute. He flicked it, making it rock back and forth on his finger. He felt someone tap his shoulder, making him turn around, only to find a yellow monster shoved in his face and someone saying 'Rawr!'. Malik let out a small yelp, jumping back and almost knocking over the stand of key chains. He heard the sound of a certain someone laughing, he pouted, his face turning red with embarrassment as he felt the gazes of people staring at them.
"Don't do that!" Malik groaned, pouting more as he watched Bakura laugh with a stuffed animal of Ra in his hands. Honestly, he would have thought he was more mature than that...Bakura laughed harder, noticing Malik's pout.
"Oh, come on." Bakura laughed more, making Ra's nose touch Malik's. "Ra just wanted to say 'Hi'!" Malik glared at the stuffed animal.
"Yeah, well if you want any sun tomorrow, you better get Ra out of my face." Malik grumbled, his face red from embarrassment. Bakura let out another laugh at that.
"Calm down, man." Bakura spoke, lowering Ra down and moving his eyes over the key chains. "Key chains, huh?" He reached down and grabbed at a Millennium Rod key chain, he pulled at the end of it, revealing a small fake spike. He poked Malik with it, who in turn, took the end off of his own and began to poke him back.
"Okay, this kind of hurts after a while." Malik chuckled, grabbing at Bakura's hand to make him stop. Bakura rolled his eyes, stopping his poking assault on Malik as he stopped his own.
"No kidding, they are plastic." Bakura waved the mini rod in front of him. "Don't you know?" Malik rolled his own eyes, nodding and looking to the side. He looked to the exit and bit his lip. He turned his eyes back to the cashiers, there were two of them...One on each side of the gift shop...
"Hey, I'm going to go to the bathroom real quick, okay?" Malik spoke, confusing Bakura for a moment. He nodded in response and smiled.
"All right, don't get lost, okay?"
"I'm gonna get lost."
"Then I'll go with you."
"I won't get lost!"
"Okay then."

Bakura and Malik weren't confused, but were confused at the same time. They were walking side by side back to the school, holding hands again, but in their free hand, they both had a bag. When Malik had came back, he had said he had stopped to buy something on the way back from the restroom, but Bakura had a bag too, and had said that he had bought something for his friends when he waited.
Malik couldn't help but notice that Bakura's face was a slight shade of red, and Bakura couldn't help but notice that Malik's face was a shade of pink. They didn't say anything on the way back, and they didn't know why. They had had fun, so why weren't they talking? Bakura looked up, noticing that they were almost at the school. He narrowed his eyes, stopping when they were at the gate's wall. Malik let out a gasp as Bakura abruptly stopped them, he looked at him confused.
"I...uh..." Bakura uttered out, blushing as Malik turned to face him fully. "I had fun..." Malik wanted to laugh at this, he was acting weird, but he was acting weird too.
"I did too..." Malik replied, unsure of what to say. He let go of Bakura's hand, reaching for the bag he held and began to hold it with both hands. Bakura placed his free hand in his pocket, gripping the bag in his hand tighter.
"Hey-" Both of them began to say, making them let out an awkward chuckle. Bakura took a deep breath.
"You first." He told the royal. Malik let out a nervous laugh, holding out the bag.
"I bought you something, so..." Malik uttered out, his face becoming bright and his heart beginning to pound against his chest. Bakura let out a chuckle, taking hold of the bag and raising up his own bag.
"I..." Bakura inhaled, exhaling deeply. "Well, I kind of...I also..." Bakura couldn't believe he was nervous about something like this. He thrust the bag out in front of him. "Here, I just thought...you know...of you...and..." Malik giggled at his loss for words, and he thought he was nervous. He took the bag, uttering out a small thank you. He hugged the bag close to him, he gestured at Bakura's bag.
"Open yours first."
"Why should I?"
"Because I gave it to you first."
"O-Oh..." Bakura didn't think of that. He nodded, reaching down into the bag Malik had given him. He felt two items inside, he pulled out the biggest object first. He blinked in shock, taking in the black stuffed animal, no way...How did Malik even know what this guy looked like? Well, he did have the same interest as you, somewhat.
"Zorc, huh?" Bakura laughed. "How'd you know I liked him?" Malik shuffled his feet around, looking down and smiling.
"Well, you said your favorite Millennium Item was the ring and..." Malik whispered. "You said that he was trapped in it, so..." He smiled more, gesturing at the bag. "Come on, there's still something inside." Bakura rolled his eyes and placed Zorc back in the bag, reaching for the other item. His eyes widened, gripping the item between his fingers. He knew this shape...No way...He pulled out the item, it wasn't real. But it was a cool, golden metal between his fingers. The spikes dangled around it, making a slight sound as some of them banged against each other.
"You..." Bakura whispered, staring down at the replica. Malik moved the bag Bakura gave him up to his shoulder, stepping forward and taking the object into his hands. It was held on a silver chain.
"Can I put it on you?" Malik asked, looking into the boys eyes as they moved to look at him. Bakura nodded, allowing the royal to place the item over his head, resting it delicately on his chest. Malik giggled. "It looks good on you."
"The ring and the monster trapped inside of it..." Bakura shook his head, unbelieving. He had thought of him, huh? He rose his head to Malik, gesturing to the bag on his shoulder. "Your turn." Malik smiled, grabbing at the bag and lowering it back down to his hand. He reached inside, feeling two items in his own bag as well. Huh? It was soft, it was a big object...He lifted the item up out of the bag, his eyes widening at it.
"Oh my Ra..."
"I would hope you would know who it was." Bakura teased, smiling as Malik stared at the stuffed animal of the god, he held it against his chest, holding it tightly. "Don't you want to see what else you got?" Malik smiled and lifted his eyes back to Bakura.
"But I'm already happy." Malik told him, his smile almost blinding him. Bakura rolled his eyes and gestured to the bag again. Malik pouted, but quickly laughed to replace the pout. He placed Ra back in the plastic bag, reaching in and grabbing a slender, cylinder like object. What was this? He lifted it out of the bag, blinking in shock as he held the item in his hand.
"You gave me a weapon?"
"Hey, it's only a weapon if you take the end part off." Bakura told him with a smirk. "I thought you liked that thing." Malik rose an eyebrow and began to laugh, taking the end part of the golden replica off and stepping forward. He poked Bakura with the spiked end, making the silver haired teen laugh.
"Are you trying to murder me?"
"Nope. I'm trying to pierce your heart."
"Oh, why?"
"Um..." Malik blushed, stopping his poking action and placing the end part back on the rod. "I-I don't know, just for fun?" Bakura rose an eyebrow.
"That's an odd hobby." Bakura laughed as Malik placed the rod back in the bag and pouted at him.
"Well, it's better than trying to take over your mind, Bakura." Malik stuck out his tongue, teasing the boy. Bakura shook his head, a smile on his face before he took in what he had said. He looked down at the royal.
"Hey, don't do that." Bakura demanded. Malik looked at him, confused as he looked up at him.
"Don't do what?"
"Call me that."
"But Bakura's your name and you told me to stop calling you 'Kura."
"Yeah, but..." Bakura blushed, why did he miss that nickname? "If we're alone...You can call me that if you want..." Malik's eyes widened, huh?
"If we're alone?"
"Yeah. You can call me 'Kura, when we're alone." Malik blinked in shock, no way! He smiled brightly and placed his bag down, before he jumped and placed his arms around Bakura's neck, holding him tightly.
"Yay!" Malik cheered in his ear, making Bakura cringe slightly. "'Kura! 'Kura! 'Kura!" He sung out, making Bakura blush brightly. Bakura's mouth ran dry at the nickname, he stumbled back slightly, making him place his hands on Malik's hips to steady himself.
"Not so loud." Bakura grumbled out, his cheeks dusted with pink. Malik pulled back, looking up at Bakura as he stared into his eyes. Malik could feel Bakura's heart beating in sync with his, was he nervous like him? Bakura's eyes widened slightly, licking his lips as he tried to read this atmosphere.
What was this? Malik didn't know what was going on, he felt drawn to him, as if he needed to move forward to Bakura. Bakura looked down, telling himself that he didn't know what he was doing, he shouldn't do something like this. On first dates, you don't do that sort of thing. He leaned down, placing a kiss right next to Malik's lips, making the royal gasp slightly in response. He leaned back up, staring down at him. Malik's eyes were widened, his face brighter than before.
Malik pouted, confusing Bakura for a moment before he leaned up and gave him a kiss in the exact same place, right next to his lips. Bakura's heart was going to burst at this rate. Malik leaned back down, the two boys staring at each other as they tried to comprehend what was going on.
"Thank you..." Malik whispered. "You know, for the date and..." Bakura smiled sweetly, leaning down and touching their foreheads together. They looked at each other, their hearts beating in sync, their faces bright red.
"Yeah. You too...Thank you..."
:Okay. This was adorable to imagine, like oh my Ra. The amount of D'aws during this in my mind was going off. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, please review!:
