"Uhhhh..." Eggman grunted, lying on a pile of the wreckage of his most recent failure.
"Well, isn't this a sight."
"Eh?" Eggman shot back to reality, realizing where he was, he looked frantically into the darkness to find who it was that spoke without a face.
"You know, Doctor..." he heard a click, possibly the cocking of a handgun. "I've already been disappointed twice recently. I don't know about you..." he appeared out of the shadow of the night and into the dim moonlight, glared at Eggman with his fierce, unusually bright-red eyes, and pointed his pistol at his head, "...but I don't like being let down."
"I...I don't-" Eggman stuttered.
"You said you had the Power Keeper, am I wrong?" he asked. Eggman struggled to reply. "First Razorbeard...now you. Who's next, eh?"
"Drennen...I-"
"Rains." The dark figure called.
"Yes, Arnold." Matthew immediately responded.
He lowered the gun. "Take him. Don't harm him, just bring him back to Pacem." he said menacingly in his deep, cruel voice.
"Drennen, you really think he is still of use to us?"
"I do. You think me wrong?"
"First the girl, now this?"
"Yes, Rains." Drennen turned back to Eggman. "I know what I'm doing."
"I hope you do."
Rains walked up to Eggman, grabbed his arm, and threw him to Drennen's feet. "No, please!"
Rains cruelly smiled as he forced his heel onto the doctor's head. Though Matthew was wordless, Drennen bent down to their new captive's level, and with a whisper in his ear, "it's too late for begging, Doctor." That was the last thing he heard before Rains struck him with the heel of his boot, sending him to blackness.
