:I'm so sorry that this is late! I've had a lot on my plate and I've caught a cold, head hurts, throat hurts, nose is stuffed up, I have a funny voice and blah blah XD. this is probably gonna be my least favorite duel to tell the truth. The reason is because in my opinion it will be the least exciting and blah blah. Anyway, thank you for all the Happy Birthdays, and here's the next chapter!:
"Anzu." Mana called out, placing a hand on her hip as she stared across the field to her lover.
Anzu looked to her, giving her the attention she requested, just to see the princess raise the hand with the duel disk attached to the arm to her lips, blowing her a kiss.
"En Garde." She smiled, not even flinching when her deck and area of the field began to shine, the board beginning to flash bright green as lights swarmed around her deck.
Anzu let out a smile, blushing softly before she rose both of her hands to her lips, closing her eyes. She blew a kiss, opening her eyes as she did this.
"En Garde," She repeated, her cheeks becoming brighter. "Mana." She let out a slight jerk as she saw her area begin to light up in a shining blue color, what was this all about? She looked to the board, finding blue and green to be flashing together, as if performing a synchronized dance.
The colors around their decks stopped flashing, and color began to spill over the sides, blue and green running down like water. However, a field didn't form, nothing had happened.
Mana and Anzu stood there, looking into each others eyes from across the field. Mana rose her two hands, forming a fist in her palm and smiling at her interest, voicing her actions with her expression.
Oh! Anzu thought, she wanted to do that. She was tempted to pout at this, all the times she had played in middle school they had decided with a coin, but they didn't have a coin right now, so it would have to do. She rose her hands in the same kind of position.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors." They spoke out, slamming their fists onto their palm as they voiced this. Anzu kept the form of the fist in her palm, Mana had changed it to just two fingers.
Anzu smiled, taking her hands back from the position and giggled. She usually lost rock, paper, scissors. She was never really good at it, but maybe Mana wasn't good at it as well? It would be a thing they had in common, and that was always nice to have. She blushed, shaking her head and trying not to smile more as she reached into her deck and drew five cards.
Mana rose an eyebrow at her girlfriends actions, what was that all about? She let out an inaudible chuckle, she was blushing over something and she hadn't even done anything. The princess picked five cards off the top of her deck, looking over them carefully.
Anzu gazed over her hand. She cringed, the expression being shown on her face. This wasn't good, she only had one monster! Amazoness Fighter was good, but since it was the only monster, that meant she didn't have any backup at the time if something were to happen to it. She looked at the other cards, two spells, two traps. Mystical Space Typhoon, handy but not right now. Solidarity was good, but it was only if she had something in the graveyard! Mirror force, good, she thought, that could protect her. Queens pawn was a good card if she killed something, but she couldn't kill anything right now...
When she used to play, she would draw a card the first turn, hopefully the rules hadn't changed. She really should have asked Yugi beforehand, but she didn't know so...She reached into her deck, drawing one card. She waited, as if expecting something to happen. Nothing did, she sighed with relief. Maybe the rules hadn't changed.
Anzu looked at the card in her hand, it wasn't a monster, but it would help. Solemn warning, if she paid 2000 lifepoints she could get rid of anything. She set it down on the field facedown, placing mirror force next to it as they appeared on the field. She reached for her monster, placing it gently on the disk.
"I summon Amazoness Fighter in attack position!" She called out, blinking in shock as the woman formed onto the field. She slightly cringed at her appearance, she wasn't pretty, but she looked strong. The fighter's appearance wasn't appropriate at all, but oh well. She had on a skimpy blue bra on, with a matching cloth that covered her butt and front, while on her stomach were black belts that wrapped around it, as if it was supposed to be a corset of some kind, and on her wrists were black and blue bracelets, along with one on her legs. Her body was buffed, muscles revealed everywhere. Her face was harsh and cold, her hair being spiked up, long and black.
"You like your women that way?" Mana smiled, raising an eyebrow in amusement. What the hell kind of lady was that? She looked like a man with tiny boobs! She was half tempted to laugh when she saw Anzu's face light up, her face becoming bright red at her comment. She was adorable when she blushed.
"N-No!" Anzu stuttered out, looking away. "I like my..." She trailed off, she didn't even like girls before she met Mana. How would she know how she liked her women?! She pouted, turning her head in her lovers direction. "I don't like women, I only like you."
Mana's eyes widened, not expecting that response. She darted her eyes to the side, feeling her face begin to heat up. What else did she expect? A yes or no? No, No, her girlfriend flirted when she asked things like that. She sighed and smiled, not even trying to calm her face down as she gestured at Anzu.
"Come on." Mana chuckled. "End your turn, cutie." She waved the cards in her hand at her, prompting her to continue.
"Oh!" Anzu voiced. "I end my turn! Sorry..." She looked down, feeling embarrassed. It had been a while since she played, so she had forgotten you had to voice the end of your turn.
"Anzu." Mana called out, forcing the girl to lift her head up. "Don't look down, it hides your pretty face." She smiled sweetly as her lovers face turned even brighter than before, how utterly, and completely adorable.
She reached into her deck, drawing a card and taking it into her hand. So far, this was pretty good! Two monsters, two spells, one field spell, and a trap. Fortune Lady Light, Fortune Lady Dark, both monsters were very good! Dark Hole, Fortunes Future, both of those cards were good in their own way. Dimensional Prison was an excellent trap card, since it banishes a monster instead of killing it.
Mana smiled brightly as she took her field spell into her hand, she could already see a plan. Get Light on the field, the effect could activate, get another monster on the field. Then, as long as she had Dimensional Prison on the field she would be safe. And finally, she could summon Dark and start the process all over again. She giggled internally as she revealed the card.
"I activate the field spell; Future Visions." Mana spoke, watching as a side slot opened on her duel disk, allowing her to place the card into it, closing the slot tightly.
Mana and Anzu let out a gasp, feeling the ground begin to shake as the water spilling effect went back over the sides of the bubble, as if it was going to reform something. Both girls fell to their knees, trying to balance themselves as it shook faster, what was happening?!
In a sudden stop, the ground and area changed shape. The floor disappeared, and in its place appeared many different crystallized looking field spells, their color not being green, but a clear blue. The pictures of fields flew past them, the sky and ground turned into a dark purple and blue. The cards were floating around, as if they were in space.
Anzu rested on a card that looked to resemble an ocean, she looked down at it, noticing it to be Umi, the field spell for water based decks. She attempted to crawl to the edge of the card, but her body was held back by a sudden force. Why couldn't she move?! She narrowed her eyes in confusion, before she thought back to what the principal had said, they couldn't move for two turns...
Mana glanced at the card under her, it looked like a volcano that was erupting, what was this? She looked to Anzu, wanting to go over and help her up. She stood up, trying to take a step forward, but found herself unable to move. She glared at the invisible barrier, she had forgotten. She took a deep breath, waiting as Anzu slowly stood up.
"You okay?" Mana questioned, worry clearly displayed in her voice. Anzu nodded in response, allowing her to let out a sigh of relief. The princess reached to her hand, taking a card and placing it onto the field. "I summon Fortune Lady Light onto the field!"
The monster who had formed looked like a small girl with yellow skin, its outfit consisting of a bright yellow dress with long sleeves as the bottom part spilled to the sides, revealing the front, covering the front however was a black fabric, the same kind of fabric that trailed up its stomach to its neck. On its wrists were black bat wings, while on its feet were thigh high black boots, and on its head were the same bat wings. Its hair was the same color of her dress, and the style of its hair was exactly like Anzu's. In the girl's small hand was a large scepter, the end part being a giant bat wing while at the other end was a ball of light.
The light girl smiled, its yellow eyes twinkling as it waved over at Anzu. Anzu looked at the girl, surprised. The monster did look like her...She waved back, allowing the monster to smile brighter, looking back to Mana as it gripped its scepter with both hands, as if it was happy.
"Alright, Alright." Mana laughed. "You know what to do." The monster nodded in response, looking around and beginning to jump around the area. There was no ground, so in order to move, it had to jump around. But if you fell...No one would know what had happened. "I activate Future Visions effect, whenever a monster is normal summoned, it gets banished until my next standby phase!" The monster jumped around, landing itself on a graveyard looking card, before it suddenly disappeared into thin air.
"I then use her effect!" Mana called out, making Anzu blink in shock, she didn't even know what was happening! "To special Summon Fortune Lady Fire!" On the field formed a spunky looking girl with pink skin, its outfit being exactly like Fortune Lady Light's, only it was a bright magenta, it had the same bat wings, and the same scepter, the only difference being that at the end it was glowing a bright magenta flame. Its hair was messy at the top, but along its back was a fun braid that had been made, and was being held together by a small black bow.
"I use Fire's special effect to-"
"I activate my trap card!" Anzu interrupted, already predicting what fire would do. Fire meant burning, and that might kill her monster. "Solemn Warning!" The card flipped up, revealing an old man with a long white beard speaking to two angels. "I can negate any summon by paying 2000 lifepoints!"
"Huh?" Mana furrowed her eyebrows, her monster's expression taking an annoyed expression as it placed its hands on its hips. "But you'd only take 1500 points of damage if you let me do this, you're taking 500 more..." She watched as Anzu shook her head at the explanation.
"I don't care!" Anzu replied. "I pay 2000 lifepoints to negate the summon of Fortune Lady Fire!" The monster glared, before it rose up in the air and crossed its arms and legs, waiting for itself to disappear. After a moment, it did, and Anzu's side of the board shined a bright blue, changing from 8000 to 6000.
Well that ruined my plan, Mana thought, cringing internally. She reached for a spell card in her hand, might as well use this.
"I activate Fortune's Future!" She yelled, throwing a card into the duel disk, revealing the picture to be Fortune Lady Fire doing a dance as two cards flew out. "I send one of my banished Fortunes Ladies to the graveyard to draw two cards." She reached into her deck, pulling out two cards. Fortune's Future again and Inherited Fortune, a trap card that would help if she had another lady. "I end my turn!"
Anzu and Mana felt a sudden burst of air, as if a sudden weight was lifted off of them. Two turns had passed, now they could move, if they dared. Why would they move? The only way to move was to jump from card to card, and if you fell, who knows what would happen to you.
Anzu ignored the feeling, she would be scared to death if she tried to move from this card. She drew a card quickly, taking a look at it. Warrior Lady of the Wasteland, she was handy once she got put in the graveyard, but other than that she wasn't very good.
She looked out to Mana, noticing the facedown on her field. She narrowed her eyes, can't have that, now can we? Anzu grabbed at a card, throwing it into the disk,
"I activate Mystical Space Typhoon." She announced as a tornado appeared onto the field. "I use it to destroy your facedown!"
Mana's eyes widened as the tornado approached. She knelt down, fearing that the tornado would accidentally blow her off of the card. She watched as it came near her, but she felt no wind come from it as it destroyed Mirror Force.
"I attack directly with Amazoness Fighter." Anzu spoke. Now the question was, how was it going to get over to Mana? This was easily answered as the fighter jumped off of the card, onto a different one, and kept doing this until it made its way to Mana's card. Both girls were surprised.
"Quite the jumper you are." Mana smiled, waiting for the Amazon to hit her. The monster rose its fist, smacking it into her shoulder and forcing her lifepoints to drop to 6500.
"I end my turn!" Anzu watched as her monster made its way back over to her. Well then, she thought, monsters had no trouble navigating the field, now do they?
Mana stood up slowly, looking over to Anzu. She looked so confident, and, as always, beautiful. She was a lucky girl, but right now she wasn't so lucky. It was only one attack, but still, she didn't want to lose. She grabbed at her deck, taking a card into her hand and looking at it. Fortune Lady Wind, good, she thought, she could use this.
"I summon Fortune Lady Wind in attack position!" On the field appeared an aggressive looking girl, her skin green, just like her outfit. Her clothes resembled that of the other ladies, and her hair was short, spiked, and green. Her accessories were black bat wings, and her scepter had a small green orb at the top of it, swirling as if it were wind.
"I use her effect" She began to speak. "She can destroy 1 spell or trap card on the field for every Fortune Lady on the field." Mana smiled. "And there is only one lady right now." Wind rose its scepter, the top of it beginning to swirl into a larger ball, before Wind slammed it onto the ground, the orb turning into a giant tornado, just like Mystical Space Typhoon.
Anzu made the move to crouch, only to find the Amazoness Fighter to stand in front of her, protecting her from the wind. Okay, as long as she was protected, she wouldn't fall off. She moved her head past the monster, just in time to see the tornado get rid of Queen's Pawn. That's fine, as long as she didn't destroy the good card.
"Then Fortune Lady Wind is banished due to the effect of Future Visions." Wind closed her eyes, her scepter risen as she disappeared quickly. Mana grabbed at a card in her hand. "I then activate Fortune's Future."
Again? Anzu thought, watching as Mana activated the card and took two cards into her hand with a smile.
Battle Fader and another Future Visions. She cringed, wishing she hadn't placed Wind in the graveyard...Oh well, if she can get Battle Fader out, she can still use it as a tribute.
"I end my turn!" Anzu nodded, telling her that she heard her. She grabbed at a card, placing it in her hand. D.D Warrior Lady, that was handy if she wanted to get rid of a card on the field. She looked at her Amazon before looking out onto the field.
"I attack directly with Amazoness Fighter!" Anzu announced, watching as the Fighter rushed forward, jumping faster than last time and made its way over to Mana.
"Think again." The princess smirked. "I use Battle Faders effect to special summon it and end the battle phase!" A small monster formed on the field, the wings resembling the ones on the Fortune Ladies, dangling from a line was a yellow orb. It began to swing a matching yellow lantern back and forth, as if telling it that it couldn't pass.
"I end my turn..." Anzu pouted, her cheeks becoming puffed out. She could have done some damage, but nope. She had to have some bat monster thing protect her.
"I'm half tempted to go over there and kiss your cheeks." Mana spoke with a smile as she drew a card. "You look so cute when you pout." She let out a small laugh as her girlfriend became flustered, her face becoming so red that you would think she was going to turn the warm color.
She looked at the card she had drawn, mirror force. Now that was helpful, she placed it facedown. She glanced at the monster in front of her, still swinging its lantern as it waited for instructions.
"Time to exchange you." Mana whispered, taking a card into her hand. "I tribute Battle Fader to summon Fortune Lady Dark onto the field." The monster disappeared quickly, in its place a large purple light formed and made a mature looking lady appear, its skin a light shade of violet. Its hair was a long mess of purple, the hair slightly larger at the top than when it traveled down its back, two long bits of hair hung over its shoulders. Its outfit was the same as the other ladies, the color being a dark purple. Its scepter was the same as the others, but held a dark orb, its colors a mixture of ebony and violet.
"Due to Future Visions effect, she gets banished until my next standby phase." The lady disappeared, making Mana smile. "I then set one card facedown and end my turn." She smiled more, happy to finally be able to get out her favorite lady.
Why was she so happy? Anzu thought, she liked seeing the princess happy, but it was kind of creepy seeing how she was the opponent at the moment. She took hold of the top card of her deck, placing it into her hand and looking at it. Amazoness Paladin. If she played this, she could do some heavy damage. She grabbed at it, only to find a hand covering her disk. She blinked in confusion as she looked up to look at Amazoness Fighter.
"What?" She asked it, watching as it shook its head at her. Don't play Amazoness Paladin? She looked down at the card, why wouldn't it want her to play it? She didn't ask questions, monsters in this was your friend so...
"Alright." Anzu told it, the monster forming a smile on its face. "I attack directly with Amazoness Fighter." The fighter jumped from card to card, heading to her lover, as soon it got to Mana it rose its fist.
"I activate Mirror Force!" She announced, making Anzu's eyes widen in surprise. The Amazoness Fighter slammed its fist into a barrier that had formed, the fist breaking and spreading throughout the body, making it burst into pieces.
"That's why..." Anzu whispered to herself. She narrowed her eyes, thanking the monster as she grabbed at the Paladin in her hand. "In my second main phase I summon Amazoness Paladin in attack position!" On the field appeared a beautiful lady, one that resembled a teacher that worked at the school. In its hands was a small, long sword, the woman holding the weapon in its two hands. On the monster was a tan skirt, tan bra, and a matching hood that flowed down to her back. On the wrists of the monster were gold wrist bands.
"You look like Ms. Valentine..." Anzu gasped out. The face and hair looked almost exactly like the Drama teacher. The Paladin turned to its master, smiling and bowing its head in response, as if thanking her. Anzu shook her head, making her snap out of it. Monsters looked like a lot of people, it didn't mean anything. She grabbed at a spell card, smiling at the knowledge that it would be thanks to the Fighter that she could use such a strong card.
"I activate Solidarity!" She announced, the card forming onto the field. The cards appearance showed Ojamas holding hands in a circle, as if playing ring around the rosie. "When this card is face up on the field, as long as I have only one type of monster in my graveyard, all of my monsters gain 800 attack."
That's...a big boost...Mana thought, looking at the field. Anzu was smiling, even as the field effect began to activate. The Paladin disappeared, and she was still smiling away! Mana was scared, but she couldn't think of that right now. She couldn't get scared just because her lover was a good player so far.
"I end my turn, Mana." Anzu spoke, winking at the princess and forcing the royal to adopt a blush on her face. Even if the field did banish her monster for the time being, it still meant she had a strong monster when she came back. 1700 plus 800? 2600, and that was strong.
Mana watched as Fortune Lady Dark came back onto the field, yawning into its hand as it appeared, it was leaning on its scepter as if it were bored. Mana rolled her eyes, taking a card into her hand. Gold Sarcophagus, that was helpful. She looked at the Fortune Lady, who was yawning again. She yawned too, the action being contagious. She placed the card on the field.
"I activate Gold Sarcophagus..." Mana yawned again, grabbing a random card from her deck and placing it in the banish zone. "I banish a card and get it back in two turns..."
"Are you tired?" Anzu asked, raising an eyebrow at the sudden yawning.
"No..."
"Then what did you just banish?"
"I banished..." Mana stopped abruptly, what did she banish? She wasn't supposed to tell Anzu what she banished anyway, but she didn't know what she did! " something that you don't need to know."
"As long as you know." Anzu laughed. The royal had looked as if she had picked a card from random, that's why she had asked. If she told her, she was tired and she didn't know. And if she didn't she did...or maybe she really didn't know?
"I attack directly with Fortune Lady Dark!" Mana announced, watching as Dark jumped in the air and flew in Anzu's direction, her scepter risen as it charged with a dark energy. She fired it, sending it at the girl.
"I activate Mirror force!" Anzu yelled, a sudden barrier wrapping around her as the orb bounced onto it and shot itself backwards. It flew back to Fortune Lady Dark, hitting her square in the chest before she burst into pieces.
"I end my turn." Mana narrowed her eyes. This wasn't going good...Next turn she would get out the Paladin, the only way she could win is if she got out her largest monster and began to attack directly and hope for a trap card to be drawn.
Anzu grabbed at the deck, smiling as she rose the card for her to see. Amazoness Willpower, a good card, but she couldn't use it right now, so she set it facedown on the field. She rose her head, smiling brighter as Amazoness Paladin formed onto the field and stabbed her sword into the card. Anzu shuddered slightly, hopefully that didn't break the thing...
"I attack directly with Amazoness Paladin!" Anzu called out, forcing the monster to take its sword out of the card and began to jump across the field, landing from card to card. She landed in front of Mana, raising her sword and jabbing it into the royal's foot.
Huh...Mana thought, that looked like it should hurt, but it didn't. The amazon pulled the sword out of her foot, walking away from her and jumping back to Anzu. She looked to the board, she had only 3900 lifepoints now...
"I end my turn!" Anzu smiled, nodding at Amazoness Paladin to tell her she did a good job. Maybe she would win this duel? She used to play Duel Monsters with Yugi, Joey, and Bakura, so she wouldn't win often...
Mana drew a card, blinking at the fact she had drawn a good card. But could this card save her? She threw it onto the field. "I summon Fortune Lady Light in Attack Position!" The familiar lady formed on the field, showing it to be floating in the air, sitting on its scepter as it waved at Anzu, who in turn, gave it a wave back.
"Future Visions effect activates!" Lady Light disappeared quickly. "I use her effect to special summon; Fortune Lady Earth!" On the field formed a lady with, somewhat normal skin color. Its outfit being a dark orange color, its accessories the bat wings, and its scepter holding an glowing orange ball. Its hair was a brown bob, and on its face was large spectacles. It stood up straight, holding the scepter in front of it with both hands.
"I attack directly with Fortune Lady Earth!" The monster rose a hand, straightening its glasses before it threw itself into the air, rushing toward Anzu like a bee in hot pursuit. It rose its scepter, aiming it at her head and began to bring it down, only to find it blocked by a long sword.
Amazoness Paladin had blocked it, parrying the scepter and pushing back. It pushed all of its weight onto the sword, throwing the scepter back and making Earth tumble back into the air.
Mana cringed, hearing the sound of lifepoints being deducted, that was minus 200 lifepoints. She could still win...but she would have to hope..."I end my turn!"
"Thank you." Anzu whispered to the monster. The Paladin smiled, nodding in response as it lowered its sword and placed it back into the card. She grabbed a card from her deck, smiling as she read it over.
"Let me take you home." Anzu said, confusing both the monster and Mana as she smirked and opened the side slot of the duel disk.
Another field?! Mana's eyes widened, watching as Anzu threw a card into the slot and closed it. Anzu's side of the bubble began to run the color blue down the sides, spilling over like water as new objects began to form in the area. Now, on every card that was floating, formed a building that resembled a hut or trees or a group of amazons.
"The Amazoness Village." Anzu explained. "It gives my Amazons two hundred more attack." The Paladin looked around, a giant smile on its face as it observed its home in a different land. "So, I use my Amazoness Paladin to attack Fortune Lady Earth!" The Paladin smiled more, jumping elegantly from card to card, taking moments to wave at other amazons as it passed to the Fortune Lady. It rose its sword, copying its previous action and ran it harshly across its body, forcing the monster to be sliced in half and to explode into many small particles.
"That was harsh..." Mana whispered, watching as the board lowered her lifepoints down by 400.
"I end my turn!" Anzu smiled, feeling more confident than before as her monster made its way back to her.
Mana drew Future Vision, a card that wouldn't help her due to it only being the field spell. She looked to the banish slot, finding a card to be thrust out at her. She grabbed it...She had stuck Terraforming in the Gold Sarcophagus, what a horrible misplay. She shook her head, sighing at her misfortune. "I end my turn!"
Anzu's eyes widened, drawing Amazoness Fighter from her deck. She could win right now...She looked at her Paladin, who looked at her and nodded, smiling. She smiled back, pushing a button and activating the trap card she had set a while ago.
"I activate Amazoness Willpower!" She announced. "Which allows me to special summon a Amazoness Monster from my graveyard!" In a flash of black and blue, Amazoness Fighter appeared on the field, crossing its arms with a smirk on its face.
"This negates the effect of Solidarity." Anzu explained. "But together, they have a total of 3700 attack points!" She looked quickly to the board, Mana only had 3300 lifepoints left. "So I attack directly with both Amazoness Paladin and Amazoness Fighter!"
The two monsters looked at eachother, nodding before they went off, taking different paths before they met up at the royal. They looked down at the princess, who was standing there, waiting for them to hurt her. She closed her eyes, feeling 2 sudden forces push her. Huh?! She let out a yell, finding herself to be trying to balance on one foot, before she lost it and began to fall off the card.
Anzu's eyes widened in shock, finding Mana to tumble off the side of the card.
"Mana!" She yelled, jumping off of her own card, ignoring how the lights began to flash again, the blue on Anzu's side of the bubble beginning to shine at her victory. She maneuvered her body to the side, directing herself in the direction Mana was falling.
The area surrounded the girls as Anzu finally reached for a screaming Mana, who looked to the side and began to reach out to her as well.
"Anzu!" Mana called out, taking hold of Anzu's hand and pulled her to her. The two girls held each other, Mana's arms around Anzu's waist, and Anzu's around her neck.
They fell at full force, only to feel gravity take a sudden change in the air, the falling slowing down to a soft hovering in the air. The two girls held their breath, not even noticing it as the area changed slowly back to normal, and guided them gently back onto the normal, safe grass.
Anzu was the first to open her eyes, she looked around, the two of them laying on the grass on their sides. She gazed up at the see-through bubble, happy to see the normal blue sky.
"Mana, we're okay." She whispered in the royal's ear, gaining her attention.
Mana pulled back, blinking slowly as she too looked around, they were on the ground? They weren't dying? She let out a giant breath of air, burying her face into Anzu's neck, making the girl let out a giggle.
"We are never playing Duel Monsters here ever again!"
:Aren't they cute? Anyway~ I hope you enjoyed this duel, because I think it was the shortest one. I hope you guys liked it! Please review and look forward to the final duel of En Garde!:
