Toronto SRU Headquarters
Chapter 11 - Don't always believe the facts
Sam, Greg and Ed approached one vehicle, while Wordy, Spike and Leah got inside the second, and Tommy headed towards the last SUV with Kim and Jules in tow
Tommy, Ed and Leah got behind the wheel of their trucks and when Leah pulled off first Ed and Tommy followed behind them, heading towards their first location
" If the first location doesn't offer any clues then we will head to his office." Greg informed over the radio
" Okay Boss." Leah and Jules applied
An half hour later
Leah turned into a gated community and the other two trucks weren't far behind
Spike looked down at the address then he looked back up and turned his vision on the addresses that was painted on the side of the mailboxes." The House is on the next street so Leah please make a left."
Leah switched on the blinker and then she made a left turn in front of the little fountain
" 412 Bonewind Ave." Spike muttered
Leah pulled the vehicle into a slow creep then she stopped all the way.." This is 412 and it doesn't look abandoned."
Greg glanced at the house.." I will go up to the door and ask some questions, team one surround the area and the house, and Tommy I want you, Kimberly and Jules to stay in the car until I either get confirmation okay."
" We understand Greg." Tommy applied for both him and Kim
" Got it boss." Jules added as she watched her husband, and her team get out of the vehicles arm themselves and surrounded the house while Greg went up to the door and knocked
" What do you think that's gonna happen." Jules wondered
Kim glanced at the house for a brief few seconds before she closed her eyes and shrugged
Tommy took Kim's hand in his and squeezed it
Greg spotted movement from inside the house.." Guys I see someone in the house."
" Boss the house is surrounded just in case the perp tries to escape." Ed applied
" I know your in there, I have some questions to ask you." Greg stated
Inside
The individual moved around the house quickly looking out the windows and spotting the officers guarding the possible exits.." Well I guess it's time then." and with that said the individual went back in the living room and up to the front door and unlocked it, then he opened it.." Good Afternoon Officer, how may I help you."
Greg eyed the man in front of him, then he cleared his throat.." I'm Greg Parker from the SRU, and I'm looking for Joseph Watts."
The man sighed softly.." He was my uncle."
" Do you think we can sit and talk about your uncle."
" Sure no problem."
" Guys please stand down and rejoin me at the front door." Greg suggested
The SRU Officers quickly put the weapons aside and then all of them quickly made their way around the house, Spike went over to the first truck and opened the door and reached inside to remove the file
Greg gestured towards the third truck and the door opened and Tommy stepped out first, then he held out his hand and Kim placed her's on top of his letting him help her out of the truck and then stood back and watched as he helped Jules stepped out as well then close the door behind her and all three of them headed up the path way
The unidentified man's eyes widened briefly before he resettled his facial features, not knowing that both Kim and Tommy caught the gesture
" This is my team and they are here as a precaution, may we enter." Greg insisted gently as the rest of Team One gathered on the porch
" Yes you may."
All Ten of them walked pass the house owner
Kim and Jules instantly felt a shudder pass through them both didn't bother to say anything yet
" What is your name." Greg asked
" Wilson Kosovich." Wilson informed as he closed the door then he gestured towards the sofas and chairs.." Would anyone care to sit down."
The few members of the team along with Kim and Tommy took Wilson up on his offer and sat down wherever they could while the ones who just stood around the living room
" Okay, may I ask why you all have come here." Wilson wondered
" Wilson can you tell us about your uncle." Spike inquired
" He was a good man." Wilson stated
' Typical answer'
" Alright then, what kind of occupation did your Uncle have."
" Well that was one that I knew, but he did tell me that there was a couple of others jobs he had, but he never told me." Wilson explained quietly
' He is hiding something'
" What is the one that you know of." Ed questioned
" He worked at a shelter for the homeless, he helped serve food to them." Wilson replies
" Are you the only known relative of you uncle." Greg inquired
" Yes sir I am."
" Wilson how often have you seen you uncle." Sam implied
" I only saw him here and there."
" Alright Wilson can you show us a picture of your uncle, that is if you have one." Greg opposed
" I have one, I'll be right back." Wilson assured as he got up left out the room
Everybody waited until Wilson stepped away
" The guy is a freaking whodini." Kim mumbled as her hand started to twitch
" When he comes back we need to put more questions to him." Leah added
" Since his story is a little off." Rafe pointed out and his teammates all nodded in agreement
Wilson came back downstairs carrying a nice sized photo of his uncle.." Here you go."
Greg waited until Wilson sat the picture down on the table then he gave Spike the gesture
Spike opened the folder and removed the two pictures and placed them down on the table
Wilson eyes both photos that the officer had and sucked his teeth
Tommy watched him from out the corner of his eyes
" It's him boss." Spike confirmed
" Is my uncle in some sort of legal trouble, even though he is deceased." Wilson implied quickly
' RED FLAG'
" Wilson you uncle wasn't just a man who helped out a shelter, he was doing other jobs that is the reason why we are here." Wordy informed
" What did he do."
" Your uncle was a doctor, but he wasn't a certified one."
" I'm not following."
" He was a baby broker for the right price, he involved himself in some illegal business that has finally come to light."
" A Baby Broker."
' He's started to tick me off'
" Yes Wilson."
" What happened."
Greg gestured to Jules and Kim.." These two women are the product of your uncle's illegal dealings, they were both born here but one only lived here."
Wilson glanced at the twins.." I see."
" You see." Jules wondered
" I didn't mean anything by that."
" Uh huh."
" Wilson have you lived here long."
" Yes and No." Wilson applied.." Is this address in that file."
' He just asked a really stupid question'
" Yes we did."
' Okay I have to stick to the plan' Wilson thought to himself.." Okay..something tells me that we're not even done."
" Not by a long shot." Kim exclaimed
Wilson nodded.." Would anyone like something to drink, I have some bottled water in the refrigerator."
" I'll give you a hand."
Wilson turned and headed into the kitchen with Tommy close behind him
" Hey."
Tommy turned towards his wife with a smile."
" Behave yourself."
" I will." Tommy added softly as he headed into the kitchen
" Jules, tell me you felt that."
Jules nodded her head.." Yes I did."
Kim also nodded her head as she got up from the couch and walked over to the fireplace, then she layed her hand on top of it and closed her eyes
Tommy peaked around the corner and his eyes landed on his wife's form
Kim nodded her head
Tommy went back into the Kitchen
" Jules, come here." Kim suggested
Jules got up and went over to her sister
" Place your hand next to mine."
Jules lifted her hand up and placed it next to Kim's hand on top of the fireplace
" Close your eyes Jules."
Jules's eyes fluttered shut
Sam was watching both of them closely but he also shared some concerned looks with his team members
Kim and Jules both felt a memory shoot through them, making both of them step back from the fireplace shaking their heads
" Girls." Sam called out
" We're fine."
" Are you sure." Greg asked
" Positive Boss." Jules reassured as both she and Kim returned to their seats and sat down, just as Wilson and Tommy came back into the living room carrying the bottles of waters
Kim and Tommy made eye contact with one another..' I don't like the fireplace'
Tommy glanced to his right then he glanced back at Kim..' You got a feeling about it'
' Yeah, and it's a mix of good along with the bad, it's depends on which way it turns out'
" Is there something wrong." Wilson implied
" No there isn't Wilson, I was just admiring the detail work on your fireplace." Kim stated
" Thank you, my uncle had some work done on it before he, had um..passed away."
Jules smirked slightly
" Well, I think he did a good job." Kim stated
" A man of many talents." Jules added
Wilson sat down in the chair.." So can you tell me more about my uncle's misdealings."
" We can't actually say what he did, all that we know is that we found out that both of these girls." Greg said as he gestured to both Jules and Kim.." Where seperated at birth and just recently and they both just want closure."
Wilson processed his words.." Okay, I understand."
" May we have your permission to check the house." Ed questioned
" I won't face any charges will I." Wilson asked..' Even though I know more than what you think'
" No you won't."
" Do you have a search warrant."
Spike pulled out the paper and opened it then he handed it to Wilson
Wilson read the paper.." I consent."
Greg nods his head.." Alright..Ed, Leah and Wordy I want you go upstairs and see if you can find any of certificates, documents and registration forms of any kind with both of his alias's names on them."
" On it Boss." Ed applied as he, Wordy and Leah left the room
" The Bedroom at the end of the hall is mine." Wilson applied then he snapped his fingers.." But there is also a shed outback." Wilson adds on
" Sam I want you, Raf and Spike to check the shed out."
" Got it Boss."
Tommy sat next to his wife and glanced down at the floor..' Getting ready Beautiful'
' Yeah'
Greg watched his team leave out the room leaving just him, Jules, Kim and Tommy behind.." So why they are searching, tell us about yourself Wilson
Wilson took a deep breath and opened his mouth...
