Chapter Twenty Five-Part One
They both felt the body tempratures rise inside them, as their lips were about to touch the door bell rang "Why do all the people we know have such bad timing?" Mel asked resting her forehead on Brooke's
"I'll get rid of them then we can continue this in private" Brooke replied winking at Mel then walking through the living room to the door pulling it open she was slightly confused to see Carl, Cassie and Kaleigh standing at the door "Hey guys, whats going on?" She asked
"We told him to wait until the morning but he wouldn't listen to us" Kaleigh explained hugging Brooke then walking through the door as Brooke signalled for them all to come in,
"I did to talk to you and Mel" Carl said entering the living room at sitting down instantly on one of the seatee's
"What about?" Brooke said Carl while still staring at Cassie who was still on the doorstep
"I need to talk about the album, we have all the tracks bar two and I was hop..." Carl paused looking over at Brooke and Cassie noticing Cassie was still on the doorstep he commented "Cassie we don't have time for one of your dumb moments hurry up" With that Cassie looked at Brooke her facial expression saying sorry, she then entered the house sitting down on the seatee Carl and Kaliegh were no sitting on, "Where's Mel and Frankee?"
"Frankee is otherwise engaged with my cousin, and Mel.." Brooke was about to tell them Mel was in the kitchen when Mel walked into the living room "Is here so lets get down to business" Brooke said sitting down on the empty sofa with Mel
"Ok, so I know your probably still nervous about singing on your own but I..."
"I'm not nervous about anything Carl"
"Your not?"
"No" Brooke replied firmly, even the others were looking at Carl like he was insane
"Then why haven't you recorded your two songs for the album"
"Because you haven't told me what genres you want" When Carl went to speak Brooke continued "I've got something kinda slow prepared downstairs and then theres me and Mel's duet which is almost ready we're just fine tuning it"
"Great, the fans love when you sing those slow songs, along with it being good to slow down sometimes it gives the others a chance to change outfits for the uptempo songs" He replied with a massive grin on his face "So can we hear it?"
"Sure as long as your all happy to come downstairs into the studio"
"Great lets do it" Carl replied leaping out of his seat, motioning for Brooke to show the way which she proceeded to do, a few minutes later they were all in the basement studio Brooke instantly closed all the windows of music she had been working on during most nights, most of the songs were solos and she didn't wanna offend Mel or Kaleigh she wasn't really bothered about Frankee, Carl or Cassie, She pressed a couple buttons then whispered something in Mel's ear she looked at Brooke smiled and said 'Yeah I can do that' moving over to the control panel she motioned for the others to sit on the chairs or the seatee so they were'nt in the way of her moving around. When she was happy with her positioning she pressed the intercom button saying 'Ready when you are Brooke' when Brooke gave her the signal she began the back-up track

song fades out and finishes...Brooke stands in the booth waiting for a response.
"So what do you guys think?"Brooke asked still standing at the mic
"Brooke that was amazing" Mel was the first to comment, she had tears in her eyes at the passion that Brooke put into the song, Brooke smiled through the glass at her.
"Mel's right Brooke that was amazing, you sent goosebumps through my whole body, record it and send me the link, I think we just found our next single" Carl happily blurted out, looking at his phone he noticed the time then looking at Brooke said "I've gotta shoot the Mr is waiting, I message you during the week about the duet" When Brooke and the others nodded at him he shouted "Ok lesbians see you later" With that he disappeared up the staircase, they all heard the front door slam shut a few seconds later.
"So what duet are you guys doing then?" Kaliegh asked getting up out of her seat, by noe Brooke was out of the booth and just entering the room
"We're not sure, Carl keeps changing his mind about what he wants" Mel replied looking at Brooke
"Yeah one minute he wants romance and sappyness then the next he wants anger and period rage" Brooke replied making the others laugh
"I'm sure you two will come up with something, you always did" Kaliegh replied "I'm gonna have to love you two and leave you because I've got a training session booked" She explained hugging Brooke and Mel then walking up the stairs as Carl had done
"I'm gonna shoot of as well, I've got a lunch appointment thingy.." Cassie said getting up and following Kaliegh
"Wow, she was acting weird" Mel commented in reference to Cassie,
"Probably something to do with the fact she was shagging Georgia behind my back and doesn't know how I'm gonna react if we're alone" Brooke casually responded
"What?" Mel said in shock Brooke had never mentioned the reason she and Georgia had broken up "When did you find out?"
"About two months ago just before I dumped her"
"What the hell was Cassie thinking of?" Mel replied instantly filled with anger that Cassie could do that to Brooke
"Well I believe she was thinking about getting her end away"
"How are you so calm about this?"
"Because I don't think I was really that into Georgia, I mean yeah she was nice and pretty, but I never really got over you. I guess the thing that annoyed me the most was that she said she didn't sign up for me being in a wheelchair"
"She actually said that to you" Mel asked, from what she had knew of Georgia she didn't seem like that kind of person.
"Yeah, I found out about her and Cassie so I confronted her about it, and she confessed everything slong with the fact that she didn't know how to handle me in a wheelchair she said she wanted a relationship that was fun, not one that was about hosptial visits and medical bills" Brooke revealed, she always found it easy to open up to Mel she knew it was because of the connection they had, "Honestly I don't think that I was that into her"
"Why not?" Mel asked, in her head she was hoping that it was what she thinking but she very much doubted it would be
"I think you know the answer to that" Brooke replied, she could see Mel thinking and she knew what Mel was thinking it was the same thing she was thinking. "I never cared about her like I did about you"
"What do you mean?"
"Really I have to explain it" Mel smiled at Brooke nodding, she knew what Brooke meant but she wanted to hear it from her "Me and her don't have that connection me and you have, She doesn't make me feel the same way" Pausing for a second Brooke moved closer to Mel taking hold of her hands "What I'm trying to say, all be it badly, is I still want you, No I never stopped wanting you or...Loving you"
"So you still love me?" Mel asked, laughing slightly at the look of frustration on Brooke's face, "Just amuse me please"
"Ok...Yes I still love you" Brooke replied smiling brightly at Mel
"Thank you It's been so long since I've heard you say it that I kinda needed to hear it to believe it" Pausing for a second she smiled brightly at Brooke then asked "So...does that mean for us now?"
"It means whatever you want it to mean.." Pausing for a second seeing the look of confusion on Mel's face she explained "I don't want to push you into anything, I know your still fragile after the attack I don't want you to feel pressure into anything by me I'm more than happy to w..." Before she could finish her sentence Mel had pulled her into a passionate kiss placing both of her hands on either side of Brooke face, as Mel pulled back Brooke looked at her in slight shock, she said the only thing that she could think of "Wait" As she said it both her and Mel smiled brightly giggling slightly at Brooke's reaction to the kiss. As they both stood there for a moment Brooke took Mel's left hand in her right hand asking "What do you wanna do?, do you wanna maybe give our marriage another chance? or not?"
Mel looked at Brooke taking in a deep breath then honestly answered "Of course I wanna give it our marriage another chance...That's all I've wanted since we split up" Mel replied smiling brightly, as Brooke moved in even closer to her, she gently pulled Brooke into a hug gripping onto her wrapping her arms around Brooke, when Brooke wrapped her arms around Mel's waist and squeezed her gently burying her head in Mel's shoulder taking a deep breath in,
"Mmmm, I've missed the way you smell" Brooke honestly replied
"You've been watching to much telly" Mel replied laughing softly at Brooke's sappy comment, something she had said to Brooke many times and had got the same reply she just said. Brooke raised her head from Mel's shoulder looking at Mel with her eyebrows raised they both giggled softly before Brooke closed the gap between their lips, they kissed for a few minutes breaking apart when they heard the door to the studio open...
Brooke quickly moved to the laptop making it look like she was editting the song she had just sung, while Mel began adjusting buttons on the control panel for the song. A few seconds later Frankee and Joey enter the studio holding hands, Frankee looked at Brooke and Mel slightly suprised that all of a sudden they could be in the same room as each other. She shrugged it off,
"What are you guys up to?" She asked sitting down on the couch in the room, pulling Joey down with her so she was sitting on her lap
"We're just editting a track I just recorded for Carl" Brooke replied not turning her attention away from the computer
"Carl was here?"
"Yeah, you and Joey were busy doing things upstairs and we had a band meeting" Brooke explained, still not turning from the computer even though she wasn't looking at Joey she knew she was blushing deeply.
"Why didn't you come and get me?" Frankee asked the anger evident in her voice
"Because it wasn't that important, I mean how was I to know he would make it the new single" Brooke reply, knowing this would make Frankee angry. Since the attack her and Frankee's friendship was no exsistenct mainly due to Brooke seeing Frankee mistreating Joey first hand.
"WHAT" Frankee shouted standing up causing Joey to almost fall onto the floor "WHAT THE HELL BROOKE?" Stepping forward and closer to Brooke
"Firstly Lower your damn voice" Brooke replied pausing for a second "Secondly Carl asked me to sing my solo to him then the next thing I know he said it was the new single, something about getting votes from my fans or something"
"Like hell you always want to steal the spotlight light from me, you've even get the attention when your out of action, It wouldn't suprise me of you got someone to attack you just for the extra attention" As Frankee completed the sentence Joey Mel and Brooke all looked at her in complete shock at the statement...
After a few minutes Brooke finally spoke "You have two seconds to get the hell out before I knock you out" She firmly said, as soon as Mel saw the look in Brooke's eyes she placed her hand on Brooke's causing Brooke to turn her attention to Mel, as she looked at her Mel mouthed the words 'Stay Calm' to her to which she nodded, upon seeing the exchange between Brooke and Mel Frankee stormed out of the studio followed by Joey, a few seconds later they heard a door slam shut "One of these days I'm gonna deck her" Brooke looked at Mel -who was now sitting in the chair infront of the control panel- knowing what she was thinking she softly said "Sorry I know you don't like violence" Moving over to kneel infront of Mel and placing her hands on Mel's lap...
"I don't, but she deserves everything she gets and more" Mel replied taking Brooke's left hand in both of hers "I can't believe this is actually happening" She commented looking down at their hands
"I know what you mean" Brooke replied "I kind of wish it wasn't though" Seeing the concern on Mel's face she explained "The reason being, When you were attacked it was probably the worse day of my life after Taylor getting sick, finding you like I did covered in blood, then waiting in the hospital not knowing if you were alive or not, every second was like an eternity I couldn't breath properly and my legs were like jelly. All I could think was that if you died I'd never get a chance to tell you that I forgive and that I still loved you."
"So were does the wishing this wasn't happening part come from?" Mel asked slightly teary eyed from Brooke's words
"I know you Mel, and when I look into your eyes I can see the pain and distress inside you, I see things you do that nobody else does, the way you flinch when someone comes up behind you, the way your body language changes when everyone starts going to bed, And I hear you looking your door when you go to bed" Brooke paused as the tears escaped her eyes, as Mel wiped them she continued "I hate what that bastard did to you and if not being with you meant that you didn't get attacked then I'd want that in a flash"
Mel smiled brightly at Brooke, it amazed her that the woman she had hurt so badly still had so much love and compassion for her, she looked Brooke in the eyes and softly said "I wish a lot of things had never happened to me or you but...The past is the past lets just concenrate on the future" As she finished speaking she leaned down softly pressing her lips to Brooke getting an immediate response...
In The Living Room
Joey was sat on the sofa in the living room having opted not to follow Frankee out the door on account of the events of last night the last thing she wanted was to get into another arguement with her, though she had love for Frankee she wasn't in love with her not anymore the months that had gone by had only made it clearer to herself that she would never feel for Frankee what she felt for Charlie, and although she and Charlie had said they'd wait until her and Frankee were over to be together properly there were several occasions when they had nearly broke the rule and as a result in the last three months they had opted not to see each other as much as they had been.
Joey was brought from her thoughts when her phone starting ringing, she answered it quickly when she noticed that the caller was Charlie "Hey Charlie, what's wrong? I thought we agreed?"
"Jo we did agree but I need to talk to you"
"Why whats wrong? are you ok?" Joey asked her mind filling with millions of possible senarios all of them involved Charlie being hurt in some way
"I'm fine, I just need your advice on something...Can I come over to yours?" She nervously asked
"Of course you can, ring me when your outside"
Twenty minutes later the doorbell rung making Joey jump slightly from the anticipation of waiting for Charlie, while she was excited about seeing Charlie at the same time she felt guilty and fearful of Frankee finding her and Charlie together. She knew that Frankee would more than likely starting throwing punches and with Charlie being a police officer it wasn't something that would end well for anyone, So her and Charlie had agreed that if Frankee ever caught them together they would say that they were meeting to discuss the upcoming case. As she opened the door to let Charlie in she couldn't help but smile brightly, however when she noticed the troubled look on Charlie's face she let her inside where they both instantly sit down on the couch next to each other,
"Charlie, whats wrong?" She asked nervously
"I got a call today about the court case" Charlie started to explain
"Charlie, it can't be that bad tell me"
"They want me to lie about my relationship with you"
"Umm ok, How do you mean lie?"
"They want me to deny ever having a sexual relationship with you" Charlie replied nervous about how Joey would respond
"And what are you gonna say?"
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about"
"Why do you need to talk to me?, it's your decision Charlie"
"You know why I wanna talk to you" Pausing for a second before taking Joey's hand and continuing "The letter also said that if I deny that we had a relationship it would give you a better chance of getting a conviction against Robbo"
"And you want to deny it?"
"No, I'm not ashamed of what I feel for you Joey or that we were a couple...But at the same time I don't want to be the reason that Robbo walks free after what he did to you"
"Charlie, if you want me to tell you what to do then I can't" Pausing she took hold of Charlie's left hand she continued "This is a decision you have to make by yourself...But whatever you do decide I'll support your decision"
"You mean that?" Charlie asked not quite sure if she heard right
"Yeah I'm sure, Charlie I know you'll make the right choice"
"Thank you Joey" Charlie replied smiling brightly at Joey, she was just about to ask Joey a question about their relationship when the front door opened up causing them both to snatch back their hands...
