'AN: This story is my own and the idea is mine so fair warning there will be alot of twists and turns in this story..Here it is!
SRU Headquarters
Pt 2
The SRU officers, the dispatcher and the Olivers didn't have to wait long for Ed to return to the room pushing a cart with a tv and vcr on it
Kim and Jules were holding onto each other tightly as their husbands offered their support as they all watched Ed plug the cord into the wall and then turn the tv and vcr on then he set it to the correct channel
" Are you ready?" Ed questioned
" Yes we are Ed." Jules and Kim answered in unison as they went over to the chairs and pulled them away from the table and close to the tv then they both sat down
Everyone else maneuvered their chairs as well and once everyone had a space Ed put the tape into the vcr and pushed play and once he did that he turned and quickly found his seat as well
" I Joseph Watts in sound body and a clear mind so I will like to take this time to bear my soul onto this tape for me to enjoy and watch again and again when I deem to do so for I feel that I would not be found out until I'm really dead and gone, but as you can see I have faked my death score one for me and none for those so called smart people they call detectives."
" Watching this scene makes me want to laugh, but I feel that it would only tick me off even more so." Kim mumbled
" I have worked so hard on achieving what I had dreamed of doing with my life, I leaned my ear to those who cried and moaned and wailed all because they were unable to keep a child or have one so I basically hired the translators that I needed for which ever case I came upon and gave them what they desired whether they were able to keep the child or not just as long as I got what I was owed so it didn't matter to me because I never gave them a good contact number very smart on my part."
Jules squeezed the handle on the side of the chair tightly and Kim inhaled deeply
Ed was keeping his eyes on them and when he noticed their reactions to what the Doctor spoke about he paused the tape.." Do you want me to continue ladies."
Kim and Jules just nodded their heads yes, so Ed played the video and everyone listened to the Doctor detail all of his escapades across the nation
" And then she came along." The Doctor stated as he pulled up a folder and then he opened it.." This woman right here gave me the best payment ever and she really didn't care about the cost just as long as I got her a baby to match her features and guess what it didn't take long for that to happen either."
The doctor got up from his chair and went out of view for a few brief seconds before he returned back to his chair and held up a picture facing the camera.." These are the people who just fell into my trap at the right time." The Doctor turned the photos around facing the camera and on the paper was a picture of a young Caroline Hart and a unidentified woman.." This lady on the right is Caroline Hart and the other lady is Esmeralda Lincoln."
Ed paused the tape again
Kim and Jules got out of their seats and went up to the Tv and they both held a hand up to the screen allowing their fingertips to trace the picture of their mother
" Beautiful." Tommy whispered as he stood up from his chair
Kim moved backwards towards him never taking her eyes away from the screen and she grabbed hold of his shirt.." That's my biological mother Tommy, do you see me in her."
Tommy stared at the picture on the screen.." Your noses are the same and the shape of your faces are the same as well."
" Jules." Kim and Sam called out at the same time
Jules turned her head in Kim's direction.." I don't know what to feel towards her yet sis."
" Me neither sis, but something is there." Kim mumbled
Jules went over to Sam and sat down next to him again but she quickly locked onto his arm and then she layed her head against his shoulder.." This whole thing is about to get everything out in the open."
" I have to agree with you there Jules."
" Shall I press play ladies." Ed wondered
" Yes you can."
" When Esmeralda came to me alone and pitiful with no guidance, I had to do what any upstanding citizen would do, I took her in and took very good care of her especially once she confided in me that her baby's father was a no good idiot who did drugs and he got arrested for possession and all of that bull crap."
So I went to the police station under the impression of a caring and loving member of his family even though he was a runaway the cops didn't know so once I done a little digging here and there I finally managed to come face to face with Nicholas Meadow and I had told him that his girlfriend had came to me for help with her little situation that he helped her get into and he told me that he would do anything for me in order to help her abort that "situation" at all cost but he had no money to pay so I just told him that I will take care of her and take good care of his problem for him and for his payment I slipped him a little something"
Kim and Jules glanced at each other for a brief second before they returned their attention back to the tv
" That little something I gave the father took care of him a short few months later, so I had one less problem standing in my way."
The Screen showed the doctor nonchalantly flipping through the folder
" As Esmeralda's pregnancy continued I noticed that she was becoming dull and withdrawn from the usual activity of life so I had her admitted into a mentally unstable psych ward where she met my crazy sister and somehow those two brought something weird out of one another but I gave my sister a direct set of instructions to follow and she did them until that fateful day when Esmeralda had suffered a fall down a flight of steps."
The doctor presented a worried tone of voice.." So I hurried over to the hospital part of the psych ward and found out it was close call so they put Esmeralda on bed rest for the next three months, she almost cost me my babies."
" He just made me feel so gross by that statement alone."
" I know what you mean sis, but he will get his comeuppance soon." Jules exclaims
" When Esmeralda was close to delivering the babies I had decided to bring her back to my house so that I can get my money that Mrs Hart was willing to give me in return for a baby girl."
" So the big day arrived and Esmeralda was in and out of it during the delivery process but I did some of the predictable things in order for her to stay coherent enough to bring two babies into the world, when the first baby was born it didn't look like she would last long so I was planning on giving the second baby girl to Mrs Hart just as long as she came through with the payment but just before I could make a concrete decision the first born showed signs of life and therefore I gave that baby to Mrs Hart no matter what happened to her in the end."
Kim closed her eyes and took a deep breath in and then she released it.." Basically it was either me or Jules, that was sold in the end."
"And since I still had the other baby in my possession I had decided to get this stranger to "find" this little angel left on the side of the road but low and behold before I could set it in motion."
The video showed the doctor smiling at his plan being a win/win for him
" I had watched these man and his three sons come across the wailing baby girl from behind them, I had come up next to them pretending to cross the street when they decided to take the newly discovered baby to the hospital and that is how that baby found a family of her own."
Kim and Jules was getting worked up more and more as the doctor bragged on and on
" After the birth of the twins I sent Esmeralda back to the psych ward and based on what I was told Esmeralda went off on my sister, the staff and her doctor telling her that I stole her babies and assaulted her which no one believed." The doctor explained with a cackling laugh.." So two months after the babies birth my sister Leslie Culloughs decided to put my final plan into action by slipping a little concoction into their nightly doses and by morning fall they would be deceased..
" Ed, please cut it off." Jules stated
" Jules I know it's hard and sickening to watch, but we have to watch it all." Kim applied as she pleaded with her sister by holding out her hand.." We will get through this and we will nail that SOB to the wall with his own admissions."
" Okay sis, and yes we will." Jules agreed with determination.." Ed you may continue."
" Alright." Ed answered as he pushed play once again he noticed that Jules and Kim were holding each other's hands
" I did a lot of good deeds for all of the people who needed my assistance, they ended up happy and I ended up a wealthy man."
Tommy's hand clenched and unclenched in quick succession
" My Life will end, but it will also begin again..as the old saying goes..' You can't keep a good man down."
" A Good Man huh." Kim and Jules chorused at the same time
" Uhh-ohhh." Winnie and Leah whispered as they watched to twins body language
Tommy and Sam both nodded their heads in agreement that the doctor is in major trouble
" Sam." Greg called out
" No Boss." Sam said as he shook his head from side to side.." You don't have to command me to behave I can and will be professional when that scumbag is brought in for interrogation."
The male members of team one glanced at each other once they heard from their teammate and all at once they locked their eyes on Tommy's form
Tommy felt their stares drilling into him and glanced at the way his wife was holding onto her sister.." I will vow not to put my hands on him, but I will present inside the room as well."
Both Jules and Kimberly heard their husband's vow to behave but they didn't open their mouths
Greg look at Tommy and Sam before he decided to call out to the twins.." Girls."
Kim and Jules turned their heads in Greg's direction
" After watching that recording and based on what he revealed, do you two vow to act accordingly and professionally." Greg asked
Kim and Jules glanced at one another briefly before they returned their stare back towards Greg and neither one of them gave him an answer vocally
Leah smirked slyly, while Raf, Winnie, Spike and Wordy chuckled softly and Ed shook his head all of them knowing that the twins will be a wild card but to what extent
" Girls." Greg applied again
" I apologize boss, but me and my sister can't vow to act accordingly, but all I can say for the both of us is that if he doesn't openly admit to his crimes, then I for go my honor against the SRU code." Jules stated as she glanced at Kim
" If this whole ordeal is about me and Jules getting closure then the best way for us to do so is to be left alone with him and you guys outside, besides both Tommy and Sam will be in there to keep us in check." Kim replied as Jules nodded her head in agreement.." Besides he will be handcuffed."
" I agree with everything Kim just said." Jules adds
" Of course you do." Sam pointed out
" Sam." Jules implied
" Jules your asking for a lot out of me, I don't want you going overboard."
" I won't go overboard Sam, but if you think that for one minute that you will try to pull rank on me you better think again." Jules suggested
Sam held up his hands.." Sorry Jules, it's not easy on me."
Jules leaned in gave him a kiss.." Just dial it back a tad okay."
Sam smiled and agreed
Kim eyed Tommy for his input.." You know where I stand already, I'm not changing my vow."
" But if he tries to pull something on you two." Sam injected
" Then he will be on the receiving of a gift from me to him if he do." Kim answered
" You wouldn't."
Kim nodded her head yes.." If I have to then I will."
Tommy picked up his phone.." I'm going to go call Haley, excuse me." Tommy walked out of the room
" Sis." Jules called
" His ass is gonna pay for what he did and it's that simple sis." Kim pointed out
" Which role should we play Good Twin or Bad Twin."
" A little bit of both Jules."
Meanwhile Spike had went over the notes that he was jotted down on the yellow pad and from glancing over at what he wrote down the case looks likes a slam dunk case...
