Haruka groggily opened her eyes, moaning in displeasure from the light shining down onto her eyes. She tried to turn her head away, but no matter how much she tried, the light just kept hitting her. Giving up, she opened her eyes, pulling out her arm in order to shield her glassy eyes from the intense brightness from the morning sun. Pulling her arm up, she pushed up off the ground, groaning from her aching muscles. Her stomach throbbed and her ribs ached to the point she groaned in discomfort. And why was she laying on such a thin mattress?

She looked down, finding herself on a thin futon with pink covers pulled over her. Looking around, she found herself in a light brown, wooden room with dark brown structure beams, giving the room a rusty feeling. The sliding doors had thin screens and wooden bars running across them, keeping them in place. The floor was a light brown like the walls and a small, oak table sat in the middle of the room. One of the screen doors was opened by a crack, causing light to flood into the otherwise dark room. Haruka blinked awake, rubbing her eyes, confused. She couldn't seem to remember how she got there and why she was asleep, it all came as a blank to her. All she could recall was yelling. Did she faint again?

Haruka pulled the covers off of her and moved to stand, but fell weak to her knees. She pulled her hand to her head, rubbing it while hissing in pain. She had a terrible headache- she felt like her head would explode!

"Nanami!? Dijabu?!" Haruka looked up to see Otoya kneeling down to her, his hands had gripped her shoulders as he looked down at her with concern.

"Eh? Ah! Hai, I'm fine." Haruka said, letting go of her head and putting on a fake smile, covering up her pain. She didn't want Otoya to worry about her too much, so she smiled like it was nothing. Otoya, susceptible of her true condition, helped her up without asking her, keeping her weight in his hands.

"Are you sure, you don't look so good..." Otoya said, his eyebrows folding down in concern for the petty pinkett.

"Fine, fine, really!" Haruka said, standing on her own. After a minute of calming down she was able to stand fully without worry of falling once more. "Ano, Ittoki-kun, where are we?"

"Ah, this is the Hijirikawa guest room. We brought you here after you passed out." Otoya explained, smiling to her.

"Ah, gomenasai, I must have made trouble for you all." Haruka frowned, looking down.

"Ah, no no! You were no trouble at all! We were happy to help you! After all we wouldn't be good hosts or even good friends with you if we let you just get crushed to death like that!" Otoya said quickly, not bothering to think before talking.

"Crushed?" Haruka asked, tipping her head to the side.

"Ah...hai... Na-chan fell asleep and landed on you and then you passed out." Haruka frowned, suddenly remembering the sequence of events that led to this. Haruka felt her head throb again at the thought of it. "Nanami!?" Haruka looked up, suddenly realizing that this had once again grabbed her head as if she was hurt.

"Nh Nh, I'm fine." Haruka insisted, shaking her head lightly. "See?" Haruka gave a small jump into the air and punched the air above her. Otoya blinked in surprise before bursting out in laughter, grabbing his stomach and wiping small tears from the corners of his eyes. Haruka blinked as she watched the red head laugh his heart out. Haruka felt a smile tugging at her lips as well as she let out a couple chuckles of her own out.

"Well, I can see that now." Otoya smiled, patting her on the head. Haruka blushed a little, looking down while drawing her shoulders up in embarrassment. "Nanami? Dijabu?" Otoya asked.

"Nh nh, nothing." Haruka insisted. Truth be told she was embarrassed because he had suddenly touched her so boldly without warning. "Ano, why is it so bright out?" Haruka asked, looking to the slightly opened door.

"Ah, well, you see... You've been out for a few hours now." Otoya admitted scratching the back of his head. Haruka visually pailed when she heard this, growing stone still and bone chilled. Otoya blinked, not quite sure what had happened, not registering what was wrong until it had become too late. Haruka fell backwards towards the floor. Otoya, reacting quickly, reached out and grabbing her, softening her impact by pulling her in the direction of her futon as she fell, knowing he wouldn't keep balance. And so, her weight dragged him down with her.

Haruka landed on the futon, still out like a light. Otoya fell on top of her, able to keep himself from colliding with her with his arms, using his lower arms and elbows as supports, keeping himself from crushing her as well. He let out a sigh, relieved that she was okay, a smile coloring his lips. But when he opened up his eyes he felt a blush consume his entire face within seconds. The first thing he saw was an oh, so innocent Haruka laying vulnerably under him, defenceless and peaceful. The next thing he saw was how close they were, causing him to let out a muffled gasp, quickly quieting himself. If he woke Haruka up while they were in that position then that would be the end of their friendship. There was no way he could keep being friends with her if she discovered this little incident, she would be too embarrassed to look at him! No more friends! Nada, Zero, Kaput!

Still...The thought of her waking up when they were like that excited him for some reason. She would get all flustered a look around nervously and say his name quietly, asking him to let her up with a hint of shyness coming out. He felt like he knew her for years. And then, he'd bend down and-

Otoya literally flew off of her. "What the- no no no no NO! Don't you dare think like that! What are you, some pervert?!" Otoya yelped, walking backwards. He finally calmed down, taking a seat on the ground and watching her sleep. But he didn't mind. After all, he had been waiting outside her room for her to wake up almost all night.
