Haruka found herself once again stuck in the never ending hallways of the Jinguji mansion. The same plain and ordinary white walls and long, wide windows that let the twilight shown stars twinkle into the halls, the moon's crescent being shedding some light on her path. She was walking- just walking. No rout, no point, no direction, and, like always, no idea where she was. For once, she didn't care that she had lost her way, she was sure that something different would turn up eventually. She shivered slightly as the cold, tiles of marble on the floor touched the bottom of her bare feet each step she took. She pulled her white robe closer to her body, retying the string around her waist to press the fluffy material closer to herself. She thought briefly of turning around to grab socks or slippers, but dismissed the thought for the seventh time.

She looked outside, wishing that her walk would be around the gardens in the Hijirikawa mansion's yard once more. She missed the fresh air that blew through the old building and the easy to reach outside area. She felt a little stuffy inside the walls around her as if they were meant to suffocate her.

She turned a corner and paused, rather surprised by what she had discovered for the first time in the large mansion. She found herself in a hallway with a brown carpet leading down it instead of marble floors. The hallway had a couple smaller windows instead of the large one, one wall lined with pictures of men and women. Haruka took a dainty step forward and ran the material under her numb feet, feeling a slight tickle from it's fluffy puffs. Haruka was surprised to find the carpet so soft where no one would ever feel it.

She walked forward, welcoming the warmth that she felt from the carpet slowly returning the feeling to her cold feet. As she walked she tilted her head up and studied each and every painting, even stopping a few times to take in the beautiful curves and details of some of the faces. Every person was amazingly beautiful, attractive to the eye. Each seemed to be done with care and appreciation. Halfway down the hallway the paintings stopped, leaving room for the ones that would come to be made in the future.

Haruka looked forward and directed her attention to the large, wooden door in front of her. It was made with a darker color than any other door, making it extremely intriguing to her and she found herself drawn to it's being. Haruka stopped in front of it and looked up, observing it's beauty. It would be a miracle to ever run across it again, so she engraved it into her mind. Once she finished looking over it's dark brown figure she reached for the golden knob, gobbling it without hesitation. She knew for surten that it wasn't a room she was not allowed into, because Ren's room was one of the only rooms that she couldn't enter- but it was on the top floor. She turned the knob and slid the door open, marveling on how the door didn't squeak nor hiss as she pulled it away from it's frame.

She peaked in and gasped. The room was huge! It had one, large bookcase on the left wall, extending several meters into the air. It's shelves were clustered with large books, photo alvoms, records, wills, Dictionaries, Encyclopaedias, and many other books. Haruka marveled at the sheer number of them, some fat while others were thin, some torn and worn don while others looked almost new. Even the slidable latter amazed her- she had never seen a real one before. She remembered watching kids slide around on them for fun on tv and heard that they were used in libraries.

The other wall was a bit less exciting. There were various awards hung on the wall and trophies on shelves along with a few pictures- including one where two men stood shaking hands and smiling at the camera. Perhaps it was of some amazing business offer? It was old and faded, printed in black and white, so it must have been very old.

The floor was covered in thinner carpet than outside, but still rather nice. It was brown as well but had a single, red carpet which appeared to be walkway down from the door to the desk on the far wall, a black line outlining it along the brown surface. When she looked closer she discovered it wasn't yet another carpet, but part of the carpet itself. Haruka walked down the red line, smiling to herself in triumph from walking down the 'red carpet'. Haruka stopped in front of the desk, in between two magenta seats made of some kind of leathery looked up past the desk momentarily to stare at another painting that lay on an open space of the wall, surrounded by two, long windows, breaking the windows up down the middle. It was a painting of a man with short, blond hair and piercing, yellow eyes. He held a stoic expression on his face and Haruka found herself impressed by how the artist captured the glare of the edge of his right glasses' lens.

Haruka peared over the desk, finding it cluttered with all kinds of papers and notebooks and even a few knickknacks. Some pencils and pens lay in a metal container and a packet of loose leaf paper lay on the corner of the wooden surface, the plastic ripped open towards the seat behind the desk.

Haruka nearly screamed when she saw what lay before her, in the seat, and she jumped back in surprise. She was so enraptured by the room she didn't even knowtis what lay on the desk, motionless. Shaking slightly, she took a step forward to peek over the desk again and stared at the figure who lay there. She was both surprised and horrified to find that it was her worst nightmare: Ren Jinguji. She felt a shiver go up her spine as she thought about him yelling at her for coming into his office in the middle of the night. His office...

Haruka paled in realization and wanted to smack herself for being so stupid. Of course it was his office, what else could it be?! She had half a mind to run out of the room right there and then, forget seeing the beautiful workplace of the Jinguji Family.

But the other half was intrigued.

Not because of the room or that he was there, it was more so what he was doing that caught her by surprise. He was asleep. Ren was not the kind of guy to fall asleep in front of people, so seeing him laying his head down on the crooks of his arms, face free of wrinkles or worry, and oh so very vulnerable. This man had been the one to ruin her life, cause countless sleepless night and ever some nights of full blown cryings. He caused her to feel anger for the first time and was the one who unfairly trapped her in here.

And yet here he was: Utterly defenseless.

She thought for a moment of drawing on his face to get back at him, but shook her head. Such a childish plot of revenge should have made her feel ashamed. Then she thought that she could scare him, but he would yell at her for doing that and she wasn't one to like yellings.

She thought about doing this and that but after a while her thoughts turned away from revenge and more so on...him. She looked at the rise and fall of his body as he braked gently. She looked at the sharp curve of his chin and cheeks, covered by flawless skin. She found herself beside him in no time, looking him up and down. He had undone half of his shirt, his stomach showing slightly, giving her just enough room to peak at his chiseled chest. She cursed silently when she found that it was more toned and strong than it had felt the other day. She turned her attention on his hair, watching it fall over his face, a bit strandy in the way it slipped off one of his shoulders. A bit fell in his face like usual, but she could see past it at his full face. His nose was a nice size with a beautiful curve to it. The way his breath slipped past his lips was almost arousing in a way, causing Haruka to blush. He looked hot before, she couldn't deny that, but his sleeping face was even more amazing.

She found herself reaching out to his face, gently running her fingernails across his cheeks and down his jaw line. Her fingers moved to his nose, feeling it curving under her touch. Then, she moved to his lips. But, the moment she touched them, his blue eyes shot open and Haruka gasped, heart stopping.

How could she explain this?!

Hey guys, I'm back! So, I have a little something I want to ask you guys. The next chapter's end can go one of two ways, and based on your responses I'll write that ending. Okay, here it is: Is Ren Jinguji, in your opinion, more intriguing when he's acting cute or sexy?
