Chapter Eight

"Hello, Gin. Where's Harry at?" Ron said as he stepped out of the fire and into the sitting area. He looked at his youngest sibling and smiled at her.

"He went to help someone with an errand. He should be back soon." She answered as Hermione stepped out of the fire and stepped next to Ron.

"Where did he go? Maybe we could have helped." Ron asked as he sat on the fluffy couch.

"Like I said, he went to go help someone. You know how he is." Ginny said with a smile as she rolled her eyes.

"Do you know when he will be back?" Hermione asked.

Ginny shrugged. "I honestly have-" She was cut off as all three of them heard a loud CRACK! outside of the house.

"I don't understand why he feels the bloody need to do that so damn close to the house." Ginny whined as they heard the front door open.

"...her pathetic face was absolutely priceless." All three of them heard the voice of Harry.

Ron looked confused. "Who is he talking to?" He asked.

Ginny didn't answer because as soon as the words left his lips, Harry appeared in the doorway with Malfoy behind him. They both seemed to be having a good time.

"Malfoy? What the bloody-" Ron stopped as Harry looked at him.

"Calm yourself down, Ronald. I'm sure Harry has an explanation." Hermione cut off her husband quickly. She looked towards her best friend and the Slytherin expectantly. "Hello, Harry." She said with a small smile.

He smiled back at her. "Hey, Hermione. Would you and Ron like some tea or something?" He asked. He wasn't aware of the looks that Draco was giving his friends behind his back. However, he did notice Ron's red face.

"Ron? Snap out of it. I'll explain later." Ginny said as Harry and Draco walked off into the kitchen.

He rounded on her.

"What the bloody- What is that ferret doing in here? Have you and Harry lost your damn minds? Seriously Ginny-" Ron was silenced as Hermione gave him a look.

"I'm sure Ginny and Harry both have their reasons for why he is here, Ronald. Calm yourself." She said sternly.

He looked wildly at her, unable to speak.

"Ron, grow the hell up. You know Draco has changed-"

"So now he's Draco? Gin, what the hell-"

"Ron, seriously, I'm telling the truth when I say he's changed. Stop being so bloody hard headed. He's changed. And I can tell."

Ron looked desperately at his wife.

"If they say he's changed, then he must have, sweetheart." Hermione said, looking almost sure of it herself.

"I can't believe you. Either of you. Sticking up for that ferret. Has he confunded you two or something?" Ron asked bewildered.

"Well, considering that I have just arrived to this house not too long before Harry and Ginny had left King's Cross, I assure you, Ronald, that I have not confunded or placed them under any spell." Draco said calmly as he walked into the room holding a damp dish towel, drying his hands with it.

"Ginny, Harry would like a word with you in private, if you do not mind." He said, smiling slightly at her.

She nodded and quickly left the room.

"Whatever it is you're planning, Malfoy, I swear I will find out." Ron spat out, glaring at his enemy.

Draco looked unconcerned. He sat on the couch and grabbed a magazine off the coffee table and started reading it,completely ignoring the two other people who were staring at him in disbelief.

"Why are you here, Draco? If-if I may ask." Hermione said unsure.

"Long story short, Astoria kicked me out. Well, rather, I decided to leave and have full custody of Scorpius. She's never home and I'm sick of seeing my son's hurtful expression when he knows that she's nowhere around. She believes that I am the one being unfaithful, when in all reality, I know for a damned fact that she has been anything but faithful to me since I married her." Draco answered without looking up from the magazine- Witch Weekly

"But who could she be cheating on you with? You're gorgeous, why would she do that to you and your son?" Hermione asked baffled.

"She has it burned into her mind that Harry and I are a couple. She's going to try and blackmail me by giving the Daily Prophet the 'story of a century'. She's going to rat me out to Rita Skeeter, and tell her how much of a disgrace I am. How I had betrayed our marriage. How I abuse Scorpius on a daily basis like my father had done to me. How I am betraying Potter." He said unconcerned.

"So this is all just a plot to ruin your life?" Ron asked, suddenly interested.

"I guess." Draco said shrugging. "But she won't get too far. My mother already knows the truth. My father is rotting away in Azkaban. She wouldn't dare try to take Scorpius away from me, partially because of the fact that she told me herself that he's nothing but a spoiled little rat, much like myself." He said, finally looking up at Hermione and Ron.

Hermione looked scandalized. Ron looked more angry than ever.

"Why the hell would she do any of that to you? I thought you guys had a great marriage. Well, it always seemed great. You have more money than you know what to do with, you have a great child-"

Draco cut Ron off. "We seemed to be happy. But we are not anymore. Not since this year, anyway. Astoria has it in her mind that because I am bisexual, that I have feelings for every man that I work with. She thinks that I have been cheating on her for almost a year because Potter and I have been staying late to work together for about six months." Draco continued to explain. He looked at Harry and Ginny who had come into the room quietly as Draco explained everything.

"So she just kicked you out into the street or you left?" Ginny asked.

Draco shrugged slightly. "A little bit of both, really. But anyway, enough explaining these things. I'm tired and I would like to get to bed." He announced. He stood up and began to walk out of the room.

"I'll show you to your room, Draco." Harry said as he led the other man out of the room. They both walked in silence as Harry walked up the staircase with Draco following behind him.

"How are you going to tell Scorpius about all of this?" He asked as he looked behind him at Draco.

He shrugged. "Don't really know. But I'm just going to have to tell him the truth. That Astoria believes that I was cheating on her and wanted nothing to do with me. And when Christmas comes around, I guess he's just going to have to stay here or remain at Hogwarts." Draco said, a small hint of disappointment in his voice alerted Harry.

"I'm sorry, Draco. I wish things could have worked out better between you and Astoria. I hate to see you and your son struggling because of this." Harry said as he finally stopped walking down the long hallway. He put his hand on the dark grey door knob and pushed the door open. He and Draco stepped inside the room and Harry smiled as Draco made a noise of amazement.

"Wow, Potter. Who knew you had such great taste in decor?" He teased. Harry smiled

"I had Dean and Seamus help me with decorating around my whole house, including the furniture." Harry said slightly shrugging. Draco could tell that he was embarrassed.

"Why are you so embarrassed about that, Potter?" Draco teased, enjoying the faint blush that was creeping into his lover's cheek bones.

"This room reminds me of you, Draco. It always had. I rarely come in here because of that." Harry said almost whispering.

"So that's why this room is Slytherin colors?" Draco asked as Harry bit his bottom lip nodding.

Draco smiled and cast a silencing charm around the room. Harry raised an eyebrow as Draco slowly came closer to him.

"Draco-" Harry was cut off as his lips were suddenly occupied under Draco's tender soft lips. Draco pressed a little harder onto Harry's lips and Harry gently moaned into the kiss, allowing his lover to have access with his tongue. Harry moaned against his lips as he felt his pants become suddenly tighter. He felt the smirk on Draco's mouth as he pressed his leg on Harry's growing pleasure.

"Draco please-" Harry begged against his lips.

Draco's smirk grew wider as he let go of Harry's lips and looked into those bright green eyes of his lover.

"Ginny, the Weasel, and Granger are downstairs, Harry. I can't do anything right now. They might come looking for you. Your friends already know that I'm bisexual and they might think I'm chasing after you if we don't stop right now." Draco said. He let go of Harry and heard a small moan of protest from the man in front of him.

"Harry, I'm sorry. Maybe later tonight, once Ginny is asleep we can do something. But not right now. We can't risk it. We've already been gone for too long as it is." Draco promised and Harry's eyes lit up again. They both walked out of the room, their hands grazing against each other as they walked side by side down the long hallway and down the stairs to their friends.
