Haruka was groggy when she woke up, giving a groan of annoyance when her eyes wouldn't keep closed and were forced open. She blinked, unable to make out the blurry mess that was presented to her eyes in her moment of waking. She blinked until they began to hurt, feeling the crusty sleep falling into her eyes. She quickly pulled them out, wiping her eyes, freeing them from any tears that formed during the painful process. She sighed, letting her arms fall limply to the side, grunting when one hit the wall while the other slapped against the bed side, falling uncomfortably to the floor. But despite the discomfort, her body wasn't willing to move just yet, keeping herself still as she tried to make out the ceiling she lay under.

It was her own ceiling in her room, she knew that much. But she couldn't recall getting into bed to sleep. It was becoming an annoyance how she woke up with very little memory so often now. She could have sworn that she was dreaming about a beautiful man with tanned skin and green, cat like eyes. But the more she thought about it, the less it seemed like a dream to her and more so a reality. She shook her head, knowing how non sensible that sounded. There was no way that a man like that would just show up out of the blue.

She moved to sit up, but found no strength in her arms to do so. She rolled onto her side, trying to push herself up, struggling with her shaky arms. The best she could seem to do was pull herself up and against the wall beside her at an awkward slant. She shook her head, trying to clear up the spinning feeling that came over her, but only made it worse, almost causing her to fall back down onto the bed.

Suddenly, the door knob to Haruka's room squeaked as it turned and the door creaked open, tapping the wall lightly lightly as it slowed it's pace. Haruka twisted her head to the side, groaning slightly as her ache muscles cried out against her movement. She spotted a familiar clump of blackish, brown hair walking backwards through the door. In his arms he held a small tray with a glass of water, a small box, a bowl, and a thin towel. He struggled with the tray, giving off little grunts of complaint, his arms slipping around the tray's ceramic surface and his legs shaking with effort. As he moved closer she could see that his also had a pitcher of water on the tray, slid down to his chest as of not to fall as he moved, and a long, green object stuck under his neck, slowly slipping from his hold.

Haruka watched on edge as he slowly backed up towards her, eyes clenched with effort. She let out a gasp as he spotted a pair of shoes behind his feet. As he slipped on them, he tumbled backwards. The contents of the tray began to wobble around, sliding to and fro on its surface. But as his luck would have it, to keep the pitched from flying off the tray, Cecil flung around and just happened to slide the tray onto a free desk near Haruka, releasing the china set and tumbling to the floor. The china set landed with a series of clangs and clicks, some idioms shaking around on it's surface. Annoyed by the cup's tingling and tangling, Haruka reached forward and tapped it on it's rim, stilling the see through cup.

Haruka leaned over the side of the bed, her shock releasing the energy her body desperately needed to move. Cecil sat on the floor, catching his breath, the long, green tube now laying on his lap. Haruka blinked before reaching down and tapping his on the shoulder. He perked up and lifted his head up, spotting her from his upside down view. He smiled when he spotted her, twisting his body around to see her in a more upright view.

"Your awake! Did I wake you?" Cecil asked, jumping up, stretching his arms.

"N-no, I've been awake for a few minutes." Haruka whispered, finding her throat a little horse.

"Hmm... You don't sound so good..." Cecil pointed out, placing his hand on her forehead, checking her temperature.

"My throat hurts..." Haruka admitted, looking down shyly.

"I've got some cough drops!" Cecil squealed, rushing over to the china plate and gathering the scattered candies for Haruka. He handed them to her before holding up the long, green tube he had been carrying precariously. "And I have this!"

"W-what is that?" Haruka asked uncertainly.

"It's a green onion!" Cecil smiled, looking proud of himself. Haruka's eyebrows scrunched together as she tilted her head in confusion. Why on earth would he bring a giant green onion into her room while she was sick? And how was it even remotely significant?

"A-ano... Why?" Haruka questioned, too tired to figure it out of her own.

"To make you feel better!"

"Eh?"

"I read in a book that in Japan you're supposed to wrap a green onion around your neck when you have a cold!" Cecil said, holding his head up high.

"A-ano, you do realize that it doesn't actually work, right?" Haruka questioned, holding back her amused giggles.

"I-It doesn't?!" Cecil cried, his smile fading away into a frown. Haruka shook her head and Cecil let his arms go slack, letting them fall to his sides in hang loosely, the green onion nearly falling out of his grip. "Mhhh... I wanted to do something japanesey..." Cecil pouted. His spirits lifted quickly, smiling at Haruka. "Here, lay down!" Cecil said, pushing her down onto the bed by her shoulders. Haruka blushed bright red, squeaking in surprise as Cecil towered over her.

He quickly let her go and rushed over to his tray, pulling the pitcher to the bowl and pouring out some water into it. He dampened the towel and placed it on her forehead, smiling in triumph. Haruka was too kind to point out to him that he was supposed to ring the towel out before placing it on the forehead.

"Okay, since the onion didn't work, then..." Cecil said, pulling out a book on Japanese culture and flipping through the pages. "Hmm... What kind of food should I make for colds..."

"A-ano, soup would be fine..." Haruka whispered, causing Cecil to quickly slam the book tight, eyes sparkling and smile too wide for his face.

"Soup! Thats it! I'll make you some soup!" He smiled, falling to his knees by her bedside and moving his face close to her's. Haruka squeaked, pulling her head back. As nice as Cecil was, he really didn't understand the concept of personal space. Or public decency for that matter- Haruka realized, blushing as she turned away from his bare chest, let free for prying eyes by his open coat. "Haruka, what kind of soup would you like? Anything you can't eat?" Cecil asked, almost looking like a lost puppy wanting to play.

"W-well leek stew it good for colds. And for what I can't eat..." Haruka thought for a moment, turning back to Cecil to answer him. "I can't eat fish because of the mercury..." Haruka admitted, pulling to covers up to her chin.

"You can't eat fish? Great, I don't like fish either!" Cecil smiled.

"Your allergic?" Haruka asked, turning on her side to meet his glance.

"No, I just don't like fish. They freak me out.." Cecil shivered, shaking his head no. Haruka stared dumbfounded at the cheery man. He was such an oddball, but at least he was sweet to her. Haruka smiled brilliantly, giggling lightly. Cecil stared at her face, watching at the light caught her flushed face in a dazzling array of color. He listened to her deep laughter, sounding almost like a ringing church bell at dawn. Cecil felt his cheeks heat up as he stared at her, blinking over and over again as she smiled like an angel. Flinching, Cecil quickly drew himself up and rushed to the door. "I-I'll go get that soup n-now!" He stuttered, leaving her room quickly.

Haruka blinked in surprise as she stared at where he was standing not that long ago. Yawning, she rolled onto her back and closed her eyes, tugging her covers close to her as she let the warmth of the mattress such her back into her dreams.

Hey guys, I finally wrote a longer chapter! And it's all thanks to final exams (which I'm avoiding studying for by writing a longer chapter)! At least we're getting farther into the story now! Well hopefully now that I'm going into my summer break I'll be able to write longer chapters!... or it could have the opposite effect and cause me to get extra lazy. In that case, I'm giving you many empty promises right now (YAY!)!

Just like for Fate Brings Us Together, I'm planing on having an extra special 30th chapter chapter! So now that I've given you empty promises and stated that I'm forcing you to wait 20 more days for a great chapter, it's now time to ask you guys my normal demands:
