Cecil opened the door to Haruka's room, sliding it open with his hip as he carried a plate of steaming hot soup. He slipped in quietly, in case Haruka had gotten tuckered out while he was a away and had fallen asleep. She appeared to be napping, since her head was down and her eyes closed. However, when Cecil closed the door with a quiet tick, Haruka's eyes opened, revealing their honey golden color.

Cecil jerked to a pause when her eyes flickered open, holding his breath out of fear from waking her, as if quieting down would lull her back into sleep. Haruka however, did not close her eyes. Instead, she sat up slowly, using her left arm to prop herself up from under the covers, the warm sheets sliding off her skin like water drops. She looked up at him with quiet eyes, blinking the sleep from her golden orbs and yawning in fresh air into her lungs.

"Cecil-san...?" Haruka questioned, the dark room making it hard to make out the darkly skinned man.

"I'm sorry, did I walk you?" Cecil asked quietly, his voice no more than a whisper.

"Hm? Oh, no, you didn't wake me. I wasn't asleep, just resting." Haruka explained, shaking her head sleepily. Cecil frowned. It was obvious that she was lying to him, as to not hurt his feelings. He pulled back on his smile and slid next to her on her bed, placing the tray of food on her counted and flicking on her lamp, letting fresh light rush through the room, throwing away most of the dark but allowing for long, haunting shadows to creep around them. Haruka and Cecil blinked in the new light, both needing a moment to adjust their eyes.

Cecil reached over and pulled the soup onto his lap, turning his body so that he could face her. He smiled at her, staring at her face which was illuminated by the lamp light, looking simply heavenly in it's glow, like an angel. Cecil turned away from her for a moment, a bright blush on his cheeks. She was the wife of his business partner- show some restraint! But still...

Cecil turned to her, watching her stretch her arms while squeezing her eyes shut and letting out yet another yawn. She smiled softly as she relaxed her aching muscles. She spotted Cecil's gaze on her and turned towards him.

"What?" She asked sleepily.

"N-nothing." Cecil replied, turning away, his cheeks becoming redder by the minute. Luckily for him, the lamp light covered his cheeks, making his blush seemingly invisible to Haruka's tired eyes.

"What did you need?" Haruka asked, smiling brightly at Cecil.

"Oh, I made you the food! Eat up!" Cecil said, dragging the bowl of food around and placing it in front of her. Haruka smiled at first, but it faltered at the smell wafted up to her nose, finding it rather unpleasant. Haruka suddenly became very nervous of the soup that was just placed in front of her, neatly placed on a tray and stood on her bed for breakfast in bed. Haruka bit her lip as she turned to Cecil, whose eyes were glowing in pride. Haruka internally sighed. She knew she couldn't turn down the food he made. Sometimes it was hard to be so nice to everyone. "I hope you like it! It's my own original recipe!" Cecil beamed. "I can feed you if you're too tired." Cecil offered, causing Haruka to blush.

"N-No, that won't be necessary." Haruka stuttered, staring nervously at the bowl of food. "B-but I was wondering something. How come you're so... excited to help me right now?"

"Oh, well, you see, I'm very important- a prince in fact!" Haruka nearly choked on air at his sudden confession. He was royalty!? Why was that never mentioned to her before?! Now she definitely couldn't say no to his food. Haruka looked down at the steaming hot pot of food and sighed. She would have to eat it. "And because I'm royalty, I'm not allowed around sick people."

"Sh-should you really be around me than?" Haruka asked nervously. She didn't want to get in trouble with a king or queen, thats for sure.

"It's fine as long as you don't tell anyone! You wont... tell anyone, right?" Cecil asked, suddenly seeming really nervous. Haruka shook her head vigorously, Cecil relaxing at her genuine motion. "So, go on than. Eat!" Cecil smiled, pointing at her food. "And tell me what you think- and don't just say it's good because I'm important." Cecil insisted, causing Haruka to be torn between a smile and a frown. She picked up the spoon and brought it to her lips, gently bowling on it before placing it in her lips. She quickly pulled it away, spitting it into the bowl and causing Cecil to frown. "I-It's that bad?" He asked sadly.

"I-I'm sorry but... yes, it's bad." Haruka said in a quiet voice.

"No, I'm sorry. It was a bad idea." Cecil said, taking a napkin and wiping Haruka's lips with it. She scrunched her eyes as Cecil cleaned her lips, as if she was two years old again. Still, Haruka couldn't help but crack a smile at Cecil's behavior. She giggled quietly, causing Cecil to stop his fiddling and stare at her, confused.

"I-I'm sorry for laughing but..." Haruka continued to giggle, causing Cecil to frown. What could possibly be that funny? "It's just that you looked like my grandma just then."

"Your grandmother?"

"Yes, she raised me my whole life. She was like a mother to me, and when I was little, she would do that exact same thing." Haruka smiled, seemingly glowing in the lamp light. She was radiant enough to light up the entire room, the shadows seemingly disappearing from each nook and cranny.

"W-well, I should be off now. I still have a meeting with your husband after all." Cecil said, suddenly jolting up and collecting himself before scurrying out of the room like a frightened deer. Haruka stared after him shaking her head. What a strange and charming man he was. Haruka lay her head down, smiling comfortably before drifting into dreams.
