Chapter 27

Draco was clutching his wand. He had been clean for quite awhile but he couldn't help it. He needed to bleed. He pointed his wand to his arm and whispered a cutting hex. The white scars on his forearm reopened one by one as he kept on muttering the cutting hex. He was crying. He was a disgrace to Harry. He wad better off gone rather than ruining the other boy's name. He had been selfish to keep the boy. He knew he would only bring trouble. He was bleeding a lot by the time he heard thundering footsteps.

"Draco!" Harry was yelling, obviously tired. He couldn't let himself be seen by Harry like this, Harry would hate him. He was sure of it. He curled into a ball and wept, not knowing what to do. He felt arms wrap around him and he stilled.

"Draco, why did you run off on me? Draco, what's the ma- Draco you're bleeding!" Harry exclaimed. Draco couldn't bear to look into the other boy's eyes. He was ashamed of himself. As tears clouded his vision he felt a bit dizzy. Maybe it was from the blood loss. He stifled a cry then whispered.

"I'm sorry, Harry."

"Draco, what are you sorry for? Merlin, come on I need to get you to Pomfrey!" Harry said attempting to haul Draco.

"No, no it's better this way. I'm sorry Harry. I didn't want to shame you or anything. Damn, I'm so sorry."

"Draco! I'm not ashamed of you!" Harry exclaimed as he levitated Draco then carried him on his back. Harry ran and that was the last thing Draco remembered.

A bright light.

Darkness.

A faint whisper.

Darkness.

A soft touch.

Darkness.

A voice. Harry's voice. Draco tried to grasp at it.

"Please, Draco" Harry said. Draco followed the voice. He ran towards it.

"Wake up, please."

Brightness. Draco furrowed his brows at the light.

"Hmm" Draco hummed.

"Draco! Oh thank Merlin!" Harry said. He felt lips upon his. He fought to move hid own mouth. Harry pulled back. Draco opened his eyes slowly. He winced at the sharp pain on his left forearm.

"Hi, Harry." he whispered.

"I was so afraid." Harry began as tears filled his eyes. "I thought I'd lose you. Draco, I want you in my life. Please stay."

"I-I'm so sorry." Draco whispered.

"You have nothing to be sorry about! Just promise me you won't leave me." Harry said as he choked on a sob.

"I love you, Harry."

"I love you too, Draco, so much."

Draco winced as pain flared in his forearm while he attempted to write the 1 foot essay which was due the next day. Shame crept up his cheeks when he saw that people noticed.

"They must think I'm pathetic." He muttered to himself.

"Draco." A familiar voice called from behind him. He turned around to face the brunette.

"Yes?" Draco asked.

"Let's go back to the dorms."

"Why?"

"Come on."

Draco sighed knowing he won't be finishing his essay any time soon. He slowly stood, making sure he didn't use his left arm for support as he did. When they reached their room Harry held out a box.

"Happy Christmas." He whispered as he leaned forward to kiss the other boy. Draco blushed. He had forgotten about Christmas because of all the things which happened.

"Happy Christmas, Harry. Hang on, let me get my gift." Draco said.

"Open mine first." Harry replied eagerly.

Draco untied the ribbon on top of the box and opened it. Inside he saw a small mirror which was framed in gold. Draco was confused.

"It's a two way mirror, similar to the one Sirius gave me. Hermione helped me recreate another one to connect to mine." Harry explained. Draco's eyes widened in surprise. It wasn't very easy to come by two way mirrors.

"You just say my name and we can see each other through it." Harry said.

"This is wonderful Harry but it's very difficult to make. You went through all that trouble and-"

"You're worth every trouble, Draco." Draco felt tears in his eyes. Harry made him feel loved as though he was the only person left in the planet. He really did love the boy. Draco reached into his trunk and took out a leather box and handed it to Harry. Harry opened it tentatively then seemed as confused as Draco had been a few moments ago.

"Wear it." Draco said. Harry obliged and saw the "H&D" form on the surface of the bangle, the ampersand a snake with blue eyes.

"It's a Bonding Clasp." Draco stated.

"A what?" Harry asked confused.

"It shows the initials of yourself and the person you share the strongest bond with. Blue eyes on the snake signifies a very strong bond, usually that of marriage."

"Really? We ought to get married then." Harry said as he chuckled. "Damn, Malfoy, you've got me head over heels for you and even the bangle knows it." Draco was suddenly lifted from the ground as Harry carried him to the bed.

"But I have an essay to write." Draco halfheartedly protested. Harry kissed him deeply and all his other words were lost.
