Punk decided to spend the night at AJ's house, after she told him what was going on.
It made Punk upset. Angry. To know that someone would try to hurt AJ.
AJ was still in Punk's arms, not wanting to let go. She looked up at him, and let out a small sigh.
"Punk. Don't leave."
"I'm not going anywhere," Punk said quietly. "But where am I going to sleep?"
AJ thought for a moment.
"On the couch...I guess. I'm heading to bed, but I'll bring you a pillow and a blanket." AJ replied.
Punk nodded, and got up, stretching his arms and legs, before going to bed.
It was 7:00 in the morning, and Punk was still asleep.
AJ got up early, because she got a text from Stephanie, letting her know that she worked today.
AJ was currently in the kitchen, making herself some chocolate chip pancakes. She was focused on making them look decent enough to be called pancakes.
Last night, when she told Punk about the situation that she was going through, she felt like a certain weight was lifted off her shoulders.
AJ didn't realize it, but Punk was awake. Which made a perfect opportunity to scare her.
"PANCAKES!"
Punk started laughing when AJ let out a very high pitch scream.
"You are the worst. I was about to take this very hot pan, and high five your face with it." AJ angrily said.
"Whoa, now. Calm down. I'm sorry, but you should've seen your reac-"
Punk felt a sudden pain along his jaw.
"No excuses. You deserve that one. Jerk." AJ said, as she put the pancakes on a plate and settled it on the counter.
Punk looked in shock, as AJ walked to her room. Damn. For a short girl, she sure can punch.
After getting ready, AJ walked to the kitchen, and enjoyed her breakfast. She did make Punk some pancakes, but he seemed very alert as he ate them.
"Do you work today?" AJ asked, trying to make conversation after what happened moments ago.
"Yeah. Why? You kicking me out, already?" Punk asked.
AJ chuckled as she saw the pout Punk was making.
"No. I was just being a caring girlfriend."
"If you call punching a boyfriend in the jaw, caring, we have two separate definitions." Punk replied, as he rubbed his jaw, carefully.
"Aww. Punky bear wants me to kiss his boo boo away?" AJ asked, in a childlike tone.
Punk nodded, and waited. AJ got up from her seat and kissed Punk's jaw.
"You still deserve it." AJ whispered in Punk's ear.
AJ wasn't the only one working today, so Punk was at the gym at the time.
He walked around, asking the people around if they needed help.
So far, not much has happened, so Punk decided to go to the front desk, and hang out there.
"Hey. Cabana in the gym."
Punk looked up from his phone, and greeted his friend.
"What can I help you with, Colt?"
Colt thought for a moment, then told Punk that he needed help on deciding what he was going to work on today.
"So, upper body is doing well. Why don't you try lower body. Those legs could use some strength." Punk joked.
Colt frowned, but started laughing.
"What do you suggest?" asked Colt.
"Come with me, young gentleman."
Punk said, trying to sound very fancy.
Punk and Colt chuckled as they walked to a specific part of the gym, so Punk could explain the workout to Colt.
So far at the jewelry shop, it was very busy; It must've been because it's December, and one of the most anticipated holidays of the year was getting closer everyday. Today only three people were working; Paige, Emma, and AJ.
"Look at all those lucky ladies getting something from their man. Yeah. Lucky them." Paige said with a heavy sigh.
"You'll find someone." AJ assured.
Paige nodded, and walked around the store to make sure nothing suspicious was happening, while AJ stayed behind the front desk as the cashier.
It was almost 6:30pm. AJ couldn't wait to get out of work today, especially after all the customers that came today. No doubt, today was a busy day for everyone working in the jewelry store.
"Come on clock. I see those arms you have there. Dance with me!" Emma said.
It's been about half an hour since Emma was standing there, trying to convince a clock to dance, but that's Emma for you.
AJ giggled, watching Emma argue with a clock. Her co-workers were something else.
Punk arrived home at 7:30. He was pretty tired from all the explaining, and showing he had to do for 3 people, including Colt.
Colt. That man was going to be the death of him. Every moment he could ask a question, he did. If Punk counted how many questions he asked, he thought it would be about 100. Maybe more.
Punk laid down on his couch, turning on the television. He decided to watch a random show that he saw popped up on his channel guide. At this point, he could care less about what he was watching, Punk just wanted to sleep.
AJ was currently home, watching the news. She didn't know why, but regardless, she was watching it.
Her legs hurt. Not like they like a few hours ago, but they still hurt.
She hoped that Punk had a good day at work, since his job included a lot of physical activity.
Outside the jewelry store
There was a woman walking along the sidewalk. She was walking slowly. In one hand she was carrying a container. A heavy container, but only she knew what it was.
She stopped outside of the door. The woman the 'Open' sign, that was on.
"I wonder those are some friends in there. If so...even better." The woman said, quietly talking to herself.
She smirked as she put down the container and looked through the window to see a raven haired woman, and a blonde woman, who were talking to each other.
The woman opened the container, which was now spilling flammable liquid. The woman started walking around the perimeter of the store.
As she was walking a few meters away, she made sure to leave a trail of the flammable liquid leading up to where she was standing.
Next, she took out a box of matches. She lit one of them up, and threw it where the closest amount of the liquid was.
She took out a piece of paper and a pen. She wrote;
First letter: K.
Love,
Your Worst Nightmare
The woman watched on, as the building in front of her, the jewelry store, was in flames. The woman walked to the parking lot, putting the piece of paper on the windshield of someone's car. She assumed it belonged to one of the two women she saw in the store, who are probably finding a way to get out before anything bad happens to them.
She was now walking across the street.
"The war has began. I just hope you're strong enough." The woman declared. She started laughing, and walked home, in the dark, cold night.
