Chapter 3: Careless Whisper
Sonny slowly knocked on the door, her hand shaking, her eyes red from
crying. It had been two weeks since the party. Shanes injuries had
healed and the rest of the gang seemed to forgive him although Sonny
wouldn't even look at him. After a few more frantic knocks on Sonnys
part, the door swung open to reveal Alex in just a T shirt with her
hair in a messy pony tail, she obviously had just woken up even though
it was the middle of the day.
"S-sorry. I didn't know who else to go to..." Sonny mumbled, trembling
slightly.
Alex blinked the sleep out of her eyes, it was obvious Sonny needed
her so she gently beckoned the girl inside.
"Everyone is down at the substation so why don't you explain?" Alex
replied groggily, sitting down on the edge of the couch while Sonny
swallowed nervously.
The way Alex was sitting you could see just the edge of her thong
under the t shirt she had slept in.
"Eyes are up here sweetheart." Alex smirked.
Sonny quickly looked away nervously and blurted out. "Im pregnant."
Alex felt her head reel at the news. Had she heard her right? Alex
swallowed her anger, Shane had gotten a sweet innocent girl like Sonny
pregnant. All at once Sonny was sobbing while Alex gently pulled the
distraught girl into her arms.
"Shh it's okay. I'll help you through this." Alex murmured.
"Ive got to get rid of it." Sonny sobbed.
"You know that's not right." Alex sighed.
As shocking as it was, Alex did have morals and she was against the
whole idea of an abortion.
"What else can I do?" Sonny whispered, looking up into Alexs eyes.
"You can have the baby and I'll help you. Shane doesn't have to be in
your childs life if you don't want him to." Alex replied calmly.
Sonny didn't reply, she just laid her head back down onto Alexs chest,
sobs causing her entire body to shake, while Alex rubbed small
soothing circles along the pretty girls back.
"Alex put some clothes on for crying out loud." Grace said sternly,
watching the two girls pull away from eachother through narrowed eyes.
"Wait for me here Sonny." Alex grinned.
"Actually Alex your shift is up." Grace said.
"Its alright. I'll go." Sonny sighed, getting up.
"you don't have to Sonny. I'll pop a movie in and we can watch it
together. " Grace said hopefully.
"Actually moms taking us out to celebrate her 8 months of pregnancy."
Sonny replied, walking out the door, a bit distraught.
"What were you two talking about?" Grace demanded.
"None of your business." Alex sang, leaving Grace glaring after her.
