Haruka took in a deep breath of fresh air, feeling the wind against her face. The sun shown down on her face, the cold air becoming crisp with new warmth and new life. Green buds began to sprout and flowers began to appear, popping up out of the brown thicket and burst into a bright green. The birds whistled and chimed together while the cicadas buzzed through the air. The sun was bright and warm in the dark blue sky.
The clouds were large and puffy, layered quite extravagantly. Looking up it really did feel like the sky was endless, a large hole through the layered clouds reaching up deep into the sky. The world seemed so big now that she looked around, yet so small at the same time. It was wondrous that she hadn't seen this sight for so long. She had been trapped inside for so long she almost forgot that the world outside was bigger than the mansion. It blew her away that such a world existed out there, so many places to explore, yet she had seen close to nothing.
But here she was, exploring just another small portion of the world. Haruka lifted her hand up high in the air, spreading her fingers to block out the sunlight as it came down, nearly blinding her poor eyes. Still, even though it hurt, she kept her head tilted up and stared into the infinite blue that surrounded her, clearly enjoying the world around her. She wasn't about to wimp out and miss out on going outside again, despite her terrible pollen allergies. So she puffed her chest out and stood proudly and-
"Achoo!" Haruka sneezed with an adorably high pitch squeak. She rubbed her nose, pouting. "I wish I had my medicine." She moaned. She shook her head, slapping her cheeks lightly. "NO!" She yelled, balling her fists in determination. "I've got to enjoy the time I've got outside. It's been forever since last spring and I got zero time outside then. I have to make the most of it!" Haruka cried, beginning to march through the garden, breathing in the air dramatically. A large, goofy smile covered her face and she skipped along.
Haruka hopped over one of the tiny streams that was flowing with water added by the maids. She fistbumped the air in celibration of her tiny accomplishment and began the run around the garden. She stopped and bent down tacking on of the flowers into her hands. It was one of the only to come out already, a crisp pink on the inside and a lighter pink on the outside, three small stems sticking out of it covered in a yellow dust. Haruka smelled the flower, wafting in too much pollen. She pulled back, letting out another sneas, rubbing her nose. She stood back up and began to wander around once more, looking to see what was new new that the brown was beginning to turn green.
She stopped when she spotted something red in the distance poking out of one of the flower patches, spiky and flexible in the wind. It suddenly moved, a large hand running through it as Otoya stood up to his full height, smiling down at one of the flowers. Haruka smiled, running towards him. He spotted her pick, bobbing hair and smiled, waving at her. But as she drew closer, she let out another sneeze.
The world seemed to spin around her as she suddenly found herself spinning towards the ground. She squeaked in fear as the ground came closer and closer to her face, her body moving to her doom. Suddenly she stopped, her face an inch from the ground, her hair dragging in the brown soil. She began to go backwards until she reached her full height. She put her hand on her heart, letting out a relieved sigh.
"That was close." She whispered, a chuckle answering her words.
"That's what I say." Haruka looked up, finding Otoya smiling down at her. His hands were mistakenly still around her figure, still holding on out of fear of her falling once more. Haruka stiffened and pulled away, beginning to studder as her hands flew around nervously.
"I-Ittoki-kun! T-thank you v-very much, I-Ittoki-kun." She stuttered, looking down in embarrassment. Otoya chuckled again, placing an assuring hand on her head.
"It's alright. Though I hope you don't fall again when I'm not around, someone needs to catch you." Otoya joked, causing Haruka too look down in shame, a light blush on her cheeks.
"I-I'm sorry." She whispered, causing Otoya to jump, shaking his head as fast as he could.
"No, no, I-I didn't mean it like that, Nanami! I just mean I don't want to see you get hurt- N-not like I means anything by that!" Otoya rambled. Haruka looked up at Otoya, seeing him stuttering, face beet red. Haruka couldn't help but giggle as he fretted over something so small. Otoya stood silent as Haruka laughed at him, smiling up brilliantly at him. He began to join in, more in a nervous laughter than anything. The moment, however; was ruined by three sneezes from Haruka, pollen wafting up into her nose and ticking her nerves. Haruka rubbed her nose furiously, trying to stop her sneezing.
Otoya watched as she stood miserably in front of him, suffering under the new Spring polled. Otoya smiled sadly, scratching the back of his head.
"Allergies?" He asked.
"Pollen." Haruka sneezed, rubbing the underneath of her nose, nodding her head slightly. Otoya chuckled, reaching into his back pocket and pulling out a small baggy filled with small pills. He opened it carefully, trying his best to keep them all inside. He reached in and pulled one out. Haruka held out her hands and he placed one inside her palms. Haruka looked down at it, squinting her eyes to get a good look at it, the sunlight a little to harsh for her.
"Here, it's an allergy pill. You can have one." Otoya smiled.
"Ah! Thank you, Ittoki-kun!" Haruka smiled. Otoya scratched the back of his head, a small blush coming over his smiling face.
"I-it's nothing." Otoya said, waving her off humbly.
"A-ano, Ittoki-kun..." Haruka said, looking up at him hopefully.
"H-hai?" He asked, his face becoming redder and his heart beginning to speed up.
"Y-you wouldn't happen to have a... water bottle, would you?" Haruka asked. Otoya's face fell in disappointment and he searched his fanny pack for anything. He pulled out a half drank water bottle and held it out to her. She took it gratefully and brought it to her lips, swallowing. Otoya's disappointment faded away when something occurred to him, his face beet red.
"I-indirect kiss!" He whispered, causing Haruka to look up at him.
