Ok so all of you seem to be enjoying this story. I've been busy lately but I decided to put some of my time into writing the next chapter. This is introducing Flamepaw! Enjoy!

P.s sorry its so short. I wrote thi chapter in a hurry.

The flame coulored apprentice crouched down in hopes that he could hide in the shadows although with his bright fur it proved to be rather difficult. His icy blue eyes focused in on his selected target who was unaware that she was being watched. With a soft playful growl, he leaped onto the unsuspecting she cat who yelped out in surprise. The gray she cat tensed up and bared her teeth agressively but then a familiar scent hit her.

"Get off of me Flamepaw! You scared me half to death!" the she cat exclaimed, attempting to shake her friend off of her.

"Never!" Flamepaw crowed, tugging playfully at her ears with his teeth.

The she cat sighed, giving in and rolling over as both of them tussled in the dirt. Purrs of laughter escaping both young apprentices as they playfully tussled eachother on the ground.

"Enough you two!" Robinshine, Flamepaws mentor, exclaimed, giving both cats a scolding cuff between the ears. "Honestly! By the way you two behave you would think you were kits! I sent you two hunting and here you two are scaring off all the prey with your childish game!"

Ivypaw ducked her head in shame but Flamepaw just grinned sheepishly. Ivypaw had come along with them for the day due to the fact that her mentor was busy. Flamepaw knew that she wasnt really angry despite the way Robinshine was scolding them, it was only because she was worried about sending her apprentice into the calling. She and Flamepaw had developed one of the closest mentor/apprentice bonds there could be. Flamepaw, being the jokester he was couldnt help but pull that little joke on Ivypaw, his bestfriend. His other bestfriend, Gingerpaw was hunting at the other side of the territory with her mentor.

"It wont happen again Robinshine." Flamepaw mewed apologetically but the mischevious gleam in his eyes said otherwise.

"It better not goofball." Robinshine sighed, although there was fondness for the mischevious tom in her bright green eyes. "Lets head back to camp. I suspect with all the racket you two made there wont be any prey creeping about anytime soon."

Flamepaw hoped to become leader one day so as usual he was eager to prove himself. He crouched down, pricking his ears with his nose twitching with the familiar scents of his territory. Robinshine watched the young tom with interest, silencing ivypaws question with a stern look. In an instant the tom had detected the tantalizing scent of mouse. He stifled his excitement and slowly creeped foward. The mouse was feasting on a seed and was unaware of the predator. In one swift movement Flamepaw leaped and pounced on his unsuspecting victim, silencing the mouse by snapping its neck.

"you never cease to impress me." Robinshine purred fondly while Ivypaw pressed against her friend, purring in admiration.

"your hunting skills will be useful in the calling." Ivypaw purred.

"which reminds me. Ive got a plan but we need Gingerpaw for it." Flamepaw exclaimed in excitement, dropping the mouse in the process as the two sped off in a burst of energy.

Robinshine huffed in irritation as she picked up the mouse and sped after the two apprentices. Flamepaw sped through the tunnels with Ivypaw hot on his tail. They found the brown she cat by the freshkill pile. Robinshine had caught up with them and dropped the mouse on the pile. She gave flamepaw a dissaproving look before padding away.

"Whats going on?" Gingerpaw inquired.

Gingerpaw and Ivypaw were sisters but they were nothing alike. Ivypaw was a grey she cat while Gingerpaw was brown. Gingerpaw is good at hunting while Ivypaw is good at fighting. Then theres flamepaw who is good at both. Both she cats adored Flamepaw. They also differed in personalities. Ivypaw had anger issues and tended to be boastful and a lot more outgoing while gingerpaw tends to be very quiet, hardly ever speaking except around flamepaw and ivypaw. All in all both sisters were really close and would do anything for the other.

"Flamepaw has an idea for the calling." Ivypaw informed her curious sister.

"well i was thinking that we could all stick together during it and then if we get to Star Hollow at the same time then we could all win." Flamepaw exclaimed.

"That could work." Gingerpaw mewed thoughtfully, being the thinker of the group.

"ivypaw!" Cloudsky, her mentor, called for her.

Ivypaw mewed a quick goodbye before dashing off in the direction of her mentor who was most likely going to talk to her about strategies to surviving the calling.

"you hungry?" Gingerpaw inquired sweetly, nudging a mouse towards Flamepaw whos stomach growled loudly in response.

Flamepaw met her green eyes and blinked gratefully towards his friend, feeling more confident than ever about his chances at winning the calling. It would mean one step closer to his dream of becoming leader.
