Authors note: Well, this chapter is a bit short...but that's okay because I believe the next chapter is a bit lengthy. Anywho, enjoy!
Legolas laughed through their kiss. He picked Tauriel up and spun her around as she broke away from him.
"I did not know your decision would be so soon." The prince said smirking.
"You know you did, prince." Tauriel's playfulness was back. Another knock came from outside the door. Legolas set his jaw. "Oh Valar if this is another joke Amiros wants to tell me." He said as he walked to the door. Tauriel burst out laughing realizing that a joke had been the "Great Importance" earlier.
"What is it?" Legolas said to a member of the Gaurd.
"The king requests that you take a team out to investigate a new spider nest. He understands you took the day off, but says there is no one else he trusts to lead this." The soldier answered. Legolas nodded and motioned for Tauriel to come with him. "Come, Tauriel."
"Sir...Tauriel has been banished."
Legolas' brow furrowed. He took a moment to speak. "Banished?" He asked. The soldier nodded assuredly. "The king claims she defied his orders, whatever they may have been."
Legolas turned red, breathed heavily, and stormed out of the room; leaving Tauriel alone again. She lowered herself to his bed, gasping in shock, but she would not cry. She couldn't. She would leave and find refuge somewhere else.

Legolas rampaged through the halls to the throne room. He shoved the doors open to find Thranduil sitting casually on his throne. The king smiled upon his sons entry.
"If you intend to banish her, you have lost me as well!" Legolas shouted at his father.
"Now Legolas, be reasonable. I told her there would be conseque-"
"You cannot banish her! She is high captain of the Gaurd! You will lose more than you think, father, by doing this."
"He speaks the truth." There came a female voice from behind. Thranduil set his jaw, eyes wide, as Tauriel stood with an arrow aimed at the king. Suddenly, Thranduil whipped a knife from his belt, disarmed the captain, and held the point of the knife at her throat.
"Threatening to kill me is treason Tauriel, know you not? Now you give me an even greater reason to banish you...or kill-" In one swift motion, Legolas pushed away the kings arm and stood in the path of his blade. "If you wish to harm her," Legolas began. "You will have to kill me first." Thranduil hesitated, then quickly sheathed his knife. "Fine, go with her Legolas. Make your ridiculous decision. Give up your life here as a prince for a commoner. If you ever do come to your senses, return to me and we shall talk about the matter. Do not, however, bring
Tauriel with you." Thranduil turned away from them. Neither of the two elves bowed as they walked from the room. They seperated at their own chambers to gather necessities, and prepared to leave at dawn.
So I guess Thranduil decided to be mean...hahaha I've never been a fan of Thranduil therefore it is hard for me to make him nice in my story ;) To answer some comments about chapter 5:
GreenTea2193- The king is punishing Tauriel more severely because, (1) When he gave her orders, she said she would obey, but proceeded to disobey behind his back. Whereas Legolas just rejected his father altogether. (2) Thranduil would obviously be partial, and therefore less harsh, to his own son.
Thanks again for reading! Keep reviews coming! Update in a few days.
