Authors note: Sooo I got you guys all pumped that the next chapter would be up within the day...then it turned out to be like three. Oh well! Here it is now. Hope you love it as much as I do!

Later that night, Legolas went to Tauriel's new chambers. He stopped outside her door and took out the note he had in his sleeve. The prince knelt and slid the paper under the door, then stole away.

Inside, Tauriel sat on her veranda, watching the sky as the sun disappeared and the stars popped out one by one. She was suddenly distracted by a noise, like the crumpling of paper. She stepped inside her room and looked around inquisitively. Noticing a paper by the door, she went to retrieve it.

Tauriel,

Come to the pavilion by the lake in a half an hour.

Be sure to wear suitable dancing shoes.

Legolas.

Tauriel's heart fluttered inside her chest. So he still had that dance on his mind...she should have guessed, the prince did not easily forget. Looking down at herself, she realized she should probably dress properly. She opened the wardrobe, and looked at the few things she had to wear: The winter gear from their journey, (No longer needed. It was quite warm in Rivendell.) and her typical green and brown tunic, bodice and leggings. She chose the latter. After dressing she fixed her hair in its usual manner, (again) then put on her soft, leather boots. Which she supposed, would have to be okay for dancing.

Legolas stood looking out over the lake, shimmering with moonlight. Tauriel would be walking up behind him any moment now. He felt a shiver go down his spine, though he was not cold, it was a very pleasant temperature in Rivendell. He shivered because he was thinking of her. He had dreamed of a dance under the moon with Tauriel since...well since he had begun to love her he supposed. Of course the prince had had no knowledge that it would happen here, now, in this setting. He had always imagined it in a clearing outside the woodland realm, but he almost thought this was better. Legolas drew in a shaky breath. He was nervous. Relax. You have been waiting for this for centuries. Now it is happening. Do not ruin it with your nerves! He thought to himself. The prince heard the light footsteps of a particular elleth. He turned, and immediately broke into a beaming smile at the sigh of her. She wore her typical green ensemble, hair braided to perfection. There was nothing unusual about her appearance. Yet she still took Legolas' breath away. The moon made her already auburn hair look like glowing embers.

Tauriel blushed when Legolas looked at her. He was obviously breath taken. Though she herself was awed by Legolas. He also wore his usual outfit. His eyes looked unnaturally blue with the reflection of the water on them. His hair, turned even more silver with the light of the moon, immaculate.

Legolas snapped himself out of his jaw-dropped state. He hoped he had not actually had his mouth hanging open. He held out his hand. "Care to dance?" He asked Tauriel. Tauriel nodded once and accepted his hand. A few unseen elves began to play lyres and pipes, creating a most beautiful symphony. Legolas clasped one of Tauriel's hands in one of his, with the other he held around her waist and pulled her close to him. Tauriel placed her free hand on his shoulder, and so began the waltz of the elves.

It began with slow sways back and forth. As the music got more brick their dance followed suit. Legolas swung Tauriel gracefully through the air. Tauriel spun around so much she was dizzy, but she was not afraid of falling in the unfaltering hold of her prince. They waltzed in a circle and Tauriel looked up at the stars, then back at Legolas. Her two favorite things together in front of her. A breeze blew her hair across her face. Legolas gently swept in away, then kissed her. He pured all his love into it, remembering telling her that she could have all that she wanted. When they broke Tauriel played with the ends of his hair and said, "Legolas, I do not deserve your love." He gave her a chiding smile. "Tauriel, if I fell in love with you, the you certainly must deserve it. I never thought I would love anyone, ever, until I felt something for you. The other elleths in Mirkwood would chase me, but I felt nothing. You, you did nothing but befriend me when we were younger. You did not chase me with your flirting. When we were older, I started to feel differently about you, more that friendship. My heart would beat faster when you touched me, when you walked in the room it brightened my day. I caught myself too many times staring at you when you were not looking. It was then I told myself that I must love you. It scared me Tauriel, never having the slightest experience with it. But when I got a little braver I began to show it, and correct me if I am wrong but I believe it was you who were scared then. At last I told you how I felt, and here we are. So surely, Tauriel, you deserve me."

Tauriel was in shock at the words that had just flooded out of his mouth without effort. She tried to say something in return, though she knew nothing would ever compare. Legola shushed her and pulled her head to his chest. "You do not need to say something in return." He paused. "Amin mela lle, amin nikerym." Legolas looked down at her, and kissed her. He ran his hands up and down her back. Tauriel broke away for a moment, only to reply to his last sentence. "Amin lle, ernil."

Legolas again captured her lips with his. This kiss more passionate than the previous one.

Their dance continued on well into the night. The elven musicians had long retired to bed and left the couple with only the music of the lake water lapping against the rocks. The two had come to the point where they were merely standing, holding each other. Tauriel was nearly asleep on Legolas' chest. Noticing her tiredness, Legolas picked up Tauriel and carried her to her new chambers.

Legolas gently laid his captain on her bed, kissed her goodnight and turned away from her sleeping form to go to bed himself. Just as he was reaching fo rht edoorknob, a soft voice came from behind him.

"Legolas?" he turned around. "Yes Tauriel?" He aswered, as softly.

"It was a lovely dance." She said with tired eyes. The prince looked down and blushed, he nodded it response. Not a moment later he was gone, and Tauriel's head collapsed on her pillow.

So cute :) What did you think? Let me know in reviews! I'm also kind of at a mental block of what should happen next, so bring on the suggestions! I would appreciate it :)
