Back in Hamegg's lab, Hamegg was working on something big. A robot girl to be précised. The thing was, Hamegg never gave Tenma the electro-zapper. Only one he had tried to make himself. The way the electro-zapper works, is that it collects DNA samples of everyone it zaps. So Hamegg used the DNA sample of Astro to follow the blue prints to make the same based robot.
Hamegg had already made a sketchy version of Astro ever since he had met him. But now that he had the blueprints to him, he had made much better progress. The robot was almost finished, he just needed to know how much power he needed. He had all the power sockets and lines he could find hooked up to the machine. "Okay, let's see how you light up…" he said, pulling down on the leaver. He greedily watched as the blue power traveled down the lines and into the robot…
"Human. Humans. I want to be a human. I never even chose not to be a human. Com'on… let it be three o'clock!" Astro sighed. He was sitting on the school roof, looking out across the play area and watching all the kids, all the human kids, play and eat. He rested his back on a part of the roof. "ASTRO!" Astro looked down to see Zane, Widget, Conner and Ember looking up to him.
"Are you okay?" Widget said, concerned.
"Fine…I'm fine." He called back.
"ASTRO! Off the roof this instance!" Mrs. Harris yelled, walking over to him. Mrs. Harris was a young woman, but was very overweight. Today she wore a purple dress and high heels to good for her ( ), with her orange/red hair tied into a bun. She was a horrid human, and all the kids despised her. She hated children, and didn't trust robots, and the thought of a robot child almost made her sick. Astro didn't answer. Mrs. Harris rolled her eyes and sighed angrily. "Bloody machine…" she mumbled, pushing past Zane and the others. "Astro! Down, NOW!" Astro still didn't respond and looked out to the city. What if my farther really doesn't want me? He thought. What if he went away for a break? "ASTRO TENMA! IF YOU DON'T COME DOWN THIS INSTANT I WILL PERSONALY CALL YOUR FARTHER!" still silence.
"He's upset." Ember told. "Give him some time." Mrs. Harris snorted.
"Upset? Ha!" Mrs. Harris bended down close to Ember's face. "It's a machine, deary. It CAN'T feel sad, or upset, or any other emotion like us." Ember shook her head.
"You're cruel." She hissed.
"And that, young woman, is a one way ticket to detention! This afternoon!" Ember narrowed her eyes.
"Maybe the legendary Astro isn't made out of metal!" Bruss yelled out. Everyone but Zane, Widget, Ember and Conner laughed. Astro's eyes shut closed, stung by the comment, and then slowly opened.
"Cut it out Bruss!" Zane yelled to him.
"Both of you, STOP! Zane! Don't go picking fights!" Mrs. Harris scolded.
"But!..." Zane sighed, and saw Bruss poke his tongue out and laugh. Mrs. Harris looked back up to Astro. "Now, Astro! What will it be? Come down or I'll call your farther!"
"Oka-" Astro started. But he felt something zap on his neck. "Oww…" more zaps clicked all over his back.
"Orr, Astro's having a wittle shut down!" Bruss taunted. More laughter. Astro stood up and tried to look behind him. Suddenly, a massive strike of electricity electrocuted his chest. "AHH!" he screamed out in pain as he fell off the roof and landed on his stomach. He was covered in blue electricity bolts, zapping every part of his body. "Well, finally!" Mrs. Harris said.
"He's hurt!" Widget said, shaking on Mrs. Harris' arm. "Do something!" Astro stood on his hands and knees, holding his head and moaning. Zane ran over to him. "What-s…SWW-BEEP….Happen…ing…SWWHHH-BEEP...?" Astro groaned, his voice un-clear and robotic. Everyone watched with wide eyes. Even Bruss and his gang looked frightened and concerned.
Back in Hamegg's lab, the electricity was going smoothly. But then it started to get out of control. "ARR! Turn off! TURN OFF!" Hamegg yelled, pulling repeatedly down on the leaver.
"Here…" Mrs. Harris pulled out a contraption out of her handbag. "I'll take care of this." The machine was small and white, with two short, sharp metal posts poking out the side of it. "What will you do?" whimpered Widget.
"Don't worry, it's a dis-power machine. It'll shut him down."
"Will it hurt him?"
"No! Don't worry!" she said, walking over.
"Cause it looks pointy… and pointy things hurt, trust me!"
"AHH…AHH…" Astro groaned, keeling down on one knee. Mrs. Harris came up behind him and surged the dis-power machine into the back of Astro's neck. White electricity clicked and the blue bolts disappeared.
In the lab the electricity disappeared and everything fell silent. "Phew…" Hamegg sighed, slumbering into a chair.
Astro's eyes widened. He tried to get up but his movements were slow. Suddenly he felt cold. His eyes closed, and he fell, Zane catching him before he hit the ground.
