Zane caught Astro under the arms. He laid him down carefully on his back, every movement making a wiring sound. All the kids gathered around. "Well, that was a waste of energy." Mrs. Harris said, twirling the dis-power machine in the air and shoving it back into her handbag. Widget, Ember, Conner and Zane kneeled down beside the lifeless Astro. Ember lifted Astro's arm and shook it. Astro's eyes still lay closed. "How long will he be out for?" Zane asked, looking up at Mrs. Harris.
"That was a very big shock, he's a very powerful machine. Even so, around 20 minutes." She replied.
"Students! What is going on?" Mr. Mustashio yelled, walking over to the crowd and pushing through. "If there's been a fight then there is going to be a ser-" he saw Astro and his face dropped. "Oh…"
"What happened to him?" asked a boy in the crowd. Zane and Widget looked at each other.
"Is the BlueCore?" Zane said.
"You mean that blue stuff that came out of that big robot?" Conner asked.
"His NAME is Zog." Widget corrected.
"Well, why don't you take a look?" Mr. Mustashio suggested. Zane slowly pulled up Astro's shirt and pressed down on his chest hatch. It opened with a hiss. Everyone's eyes widened and they edged closer. Mrs. Harris even looked enchanted. The BlueCore glowed and spun in Astro's chest, making a sound like a thousand bells chiming. "THAT, is severally cool." Ember pointed.
"Can I touch it…" Conner said, reaching his hand out. Widget slapped it.
"No!"
"Well, nothing seems to be wrong." Zane said.
"How would you know? You don't know very much about robotics." Widget reminded.
"I should call Tenma." Mr. Mustashio said, taking out his phone.
"No, Tenma is away on a month long trip." Zane told.
"That would explain the robot in school…" Mrs. Harris mumbled.
"Who do I call then?" Mustashio said.
"Hamegg?" Widget suggested.
"After THAT fight! No way." Zane shook his head. Conner reached his hand out again.
"I want to touch it…"
"NO!" everyone yelled.
"Dr. Elefun! Call him!" Widget told Mustashio. He nodded and dialed in the number. Suddenly Astro moaned and his eyes flickered open. "Hmmm…what?"
"ASTRO!" Widget wrapped her arms around Astro's neck and squeezed him tight. "Eeee…" he wined. The BlueCore stopped spinning and the shimmering sound stopped. Widget let go and the Core turned once again as Astro gasped for air. "Thanks for that Widget…" Astro said. He looked around at everyone. He groaned and rubbed the back of his neck. "Oww…"
"Oh, that may hurt for a while." Mrs. Harris said without concern.
"What did you do to me?"
"Dis-power machine. Had no choice."
"You were getting attacked some how." Conner told him. Astro still rubbed his neck.
"Really now…"
"Elefun is one the way." Mustashio said. Astro looked down to his still open chest hatch. He went to close it. "Wait!" everyone looked at Conner. "Can I touch it?" he begged. Astro frowned. Conner shrunk back. "Sorry…" Astro pushed the hatch closed.
"Astro!" they all looked towards Dr. Elefun, walking towards them. Astro slowly got up. Elefun reached them. "You said something was wrong?"
"Yes! There was blue lightning, and then he fell off the roof, and then Mrs. Harris killed him, and then he just woke up, and then you came!" Kennich explained very poorly. Elefun's eyebrows rose and he looked at Astro.
"Err, he has a vast imagination." Astro said.
"But there was blue lighting." Zane said.
"Blue lightning?" Elefun frowned.
"It just came out of no where." Astro said. "Just blue bolts all over me."
"Hmm…" Elefun thought. "I can't think of anything that may have been the cause. Any how, I better take you home, Astro. See if anything is shot or destroyed." Astro nodded. Widget hugged him.
"See ya Astro! I'll miss you!" Astro bended down to her.
"I'll come tonight." He whispered. Widget gasped and grinned.
"Com'on Astro!" called Elefun, already walking ahead. Astro ran up to him. All the other kids waved goodbye.
"Bye!"
"Goodbye!"
"Come tomorrow!" Astro and Elefun walked out of the school. Bruss smiled evilly. "Yes, come tomorrow. I'll be waiting…"
They climbed into Elefun's car. "So, how was your first day?" Elefun asked, pulling the car into the road. Astro laughed.
"The school's as bad as I remember."
"Did you make any friends?"
"Along with as just as many enemies." Astro mumbled.
"Well! How about you tell me your friends, first."
"Well, there of coarse Zane and Widget. Then there's this guy called Conner and then there's a girl…"
"Yes? A girl?" Elefun said. Astro thought.
"I…I never got her name."
"Well, at least that's one thing to look forward to tomorrow."
"Yeah, but there's one thing to dread as well…"
"And what would that be?"
"Bruss and his gang." Astro looked out the window.
"Every school has one. Now, about this "blue lighting?" Elefun changed the subject.
"I was sitting on the roof, and then I felt this electrocuting on my back. Then a huge zap on my chest knocked me over. Soon I was covered in bolts."
"That boy said something about someone "killing" you?" Elefun asked.
"Mrs. Harris, the principle, had to shut me down with a dis-power machine." Elefun's eyes widened.
"What! A dis-power machine!" he said, the car almost swerving off the road.
"Yeah, why?" Astro asked, grasping the seat.
"She should have used a de-activate machine! A dis-power machine is a far more aggressive source. You'll have that pain in your neck for a least a week, and it could get infected."
"I'm sorry…infected?" Astro frowned.
"It's when small, unwanted, electronic bugs and viruses are able to sneak in into your system and mess up your programming. I actually know Mrs. Harris and it's very much like her to use a dis-power machine." Astro rubbed the back of his neck.
"Why does she hate robots so much?"
"I guess it's just out of the fear, Astro."
"Fear of what!"
"Remember it was only a few days ago when the Peace Keeper got out of control."
"It was holding the RedCore! And, even worse, Stone!" Elefun sighed and smiled. Astro suddenly sat up in his seat. "Hey, what happened to Stone, anyway?"
"Oh, don't you worry. He's kept in the Metro City prison. Locked away safely."
