Noise. Loud loud noise. Haruka never thought that a lively breakfast could ever be so... painful to the ears. The entire group had gathered in the dining room, all planning on eating together this morning. However, they probably should have factored in the noise when they had planned to do this. Haruka almost wanted to cover her ears while Tokiya and Otoya had a little minny argument, Syo yelling at Natsuki for trying to give people cookies.
"Are you okay, Haruka?" Haruka turned to Cecil, who stared over at her with a frown. She faked a smile and nodded.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine. It's just a little loud is all." Haruka admitted, blushing. Cecil nodded understandingly.
"Yeah, I know. I'm not use to it either." Cecil nodded, smiling sadly at her. She smiled back. She looked around at the group of friends, talking and yelling with each other. Ren and Masato had engaged in a conversation. Haruka smiled at Ren. Ren suddenly looked at her and winked. Haruka winked but didn't turn away, smiling at him. She nearly wanted to wink back, but she found herself far too embarrassed to do something like that and just gave him a bigger smile.
"Hey, I think the snow has gone down." Tomochika called, looking out the window.
"Really, how much?" Syo asked, getting up and walking over to the window and looked out to the outside world. "It don't look like much has gone down..."
"Yeah, but it's a lot since the storm ended." Tomochika pointed out, causing Syo to hum in agreement. "I you guys could get out today. I heard that the driveway was shoveled this morning."
"We had to hire someone to clear it, but it should be done by now." Ren said, standing up.
"Awe, I don't wanna go yet." Natsuki frowned, laying his head on the table. "I'll have a bunch of work to do when I go home- it's probably piled up."
"Oh, yeah." Cecil frowned. "I bet I have a mountain of work to do- probably just a bunch of tax papers and building plans and economical charts. I wish I didn't have to do it." He sighed, laying his head in his arms while leaning into the table. "I just want to sit here and relax and have fun."
"Don't you have a flight to catch?" Otoya asked.
"I already missed it- it was scheduled to take off around midnight last night." Cecil shrugged. "I'll just get a new one."
"Should we try to get out?" Otoya asked, turning to Tokiya.
"Jinguji, do you have any winter clothes?" Masato asked, turning to the flirtatious blond.
"We're going than?" Tokiya asked, Masto nodding to him.
"Sure, I'll get them." Ren said, turning to a maid in the room and having her fetch them. The blond haired maid bowed and left the room in a hurry.
"No no, Ren, don't get up." Syo said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. Ren chuckled, smirking.
"Sorry, Ochibi-chan, I don't think we have an extra small size." Ren smirked, leaning back in his seat.
"Don't ye call me short!" Syo yelled.
"I'm really glad you all could come and stay for a while, it's been really fun having everyone around." Haruka smiled, the boys blushing in response.
"Yeah, we should all get together again some time." Otoya smiled.
"Except maybe with better circumstances." Syo laughed, the other boys agreeing.
"And maybe not so soon." Ren said, leaning back in his chair, looking exhausted. The others laughed at him, Otoya poking him on the shoulder, saying 'Hey, hey, you tired? Hey, hey, hey Ren... are you tired?', Ren swatting him away with a glare on his face.
The door opened and the blond maid came back in with a few winter coats. "Excuse me, sir," She said politely. "I found the coats you asked for." She handed them out to the boys, giving Syo one of Ren's older coats simply because he was so small (He was a little pissed about that).
"This is a little small..." Natsuki frowned, having a hard time slipping his arms throught the arm holes.
"I apologize, sir, but that is the biggest coat we have." She apologized, bowing to Natsuki.
"It's fine." Natsuki smiled, trying to be optimistic. The maid bowed and left the room.
"So are you all going then?" Haruka asked, looking around at the boys saddly.
"I'm afraid we must. We have work to get back to." Tokiya frowned, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry, Haru-chan! I'll come back to play soon." Natsuki smiled, bending down to her. Haruka smiled and nodded.
"We'll see you guys out." Haruka offered. The boys gathered their things and headed out of the dining room, a few kitchen staff members coming out to take their plates away. The group headed to the front door, taking their time and enjoying the company with each other one last time.
"It's too bad we can't get together like this." Otoya said as they walked. "It would be a lot of fun if we could all hang out some time!"
"Yeah, that would be fun!" Natsuki smiled.
"But it would be impossible with our schedule." Masato pointed out.
"Yeah, but still..." Otoya frowned, crossing his arms and pouting, looking down at his feet.
"Otoya, don't be a child." Tokiya sighed, giving his assistant a small thump on the back of the head. "We could get together if we just planned ahead."
"Yeah!" That cleared Otoya up. The group laughed at Otoya's antics, upsetting the red head. Finally they made it down the stairs and to the door. When they opened the door they were met with a cold gust of air. Haruka shivered, having not gotten a coat. The group headed outside, finding their cars outside waiting for them, mostly cleared of snow.
"Oh good, we won't have to dig em out." Syo sighed in relief.
"Since the two of us would have to do it ourselves." Otoya laughed awkwardly.
"Come on, let's go." Tokiya called, hurrying to the car.
"W-wait for me!" Otoya cried, running after him, nearly slipping.
"W-wait, I don't have a ride- I got a taxi!" Cecil yelled, looking around.
"Don't worry, I got my chauffeur to get you." Ren said, pointing at a black limo with an old man standing in front of it, holding his hat over his heart and bowing when gestured at.
"You're a lifesaver!" Cecil yelled, rushing over to the limo, the door opened for him to hop right inside. The others got into their cars as well and began to pull away.
"Haru-chan!" Natsuki yelled suddenly, his head poking out from the sunroof. "Goodbye, Haru-chan!"
"Ye idiot! Get your head in 'ere, sit down, and put on yer goddamn seat belt!" Syo yelled from inside the car. Haruka giggled, shaking her head. Ren wrapped his arms around her from behind, Haruka blushing like mad. He rested his chin on her head and she shuddered, remembering last nights activities. They stood in silence, watching the cars drive away.
"Se, we're finally alone again." Ren whispered, pulling her into his stomach.
"Y-yeah, we are, aren't we." Haruka stuttered, not sure what to say. She could feel his fingers tracing small circles on her hips, her throat suddenly feeling dry.
"Now we can spend some more time..alone." Ren whispered, bending down to her ear. She felt him tug at her and pull her inside. Haruka internally panicked. She had no idea what to do about this. She was very aware that they were in fact in a relationship with each other, but up until last night it had been small touches and some snuggling.
"U-um," Haruka said, attempting to save herself from the situation. "D-didn't you say you were tired? Y-you should go to bed." Haruka said, trying to keep her eyes off of his hands that were slowly sliding under her shirt.
"Yes, that's true. I do wish to get into bed right about now." Ren said, growling into her ear before biting. Haruka sucked in a gasp and bit her lip, her body tensing. "Let's go to bed now, hunney~"
Hey guys. I'm really sorry that I missed another update again. I mean, I keep meaning to stay on the schedule and I know that excuses don't really mean much when it comes to mine, but I really do feel bad about missing that other update. Recently I've taken up reading Homestuck once more, trying to read, like, what, 200 pages (?) at least every day just to catch up before the final update. I've also begun to exercise more often by running on the treadmill (You should see the basement- I built a tower so I could watch anime while I run and I have a fan set up so I don't overheat!) everyday (Probably) for 30 minutes (More or less).
But I will try to be a bit more diligent with updating. I've decided that I will continue on the ten day schedule but have the option to update in between those updates. I don't know if I'll decide that I don't need to update on the next scheduled day yet, I'm still working this out, but I hopefully won't just keep missing updates and waiting for the next update day to put something out.
