BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Zoran jolted awake and looked at the new, NEW, NEWLY NEW alarm clock beside Astro's bed. She reached over and pressed the button. "Don't bother…" Astro moaned; eyes still closed.
CLICK.
Astro raised his head and looked at the dis-alarmed clock. "Now that's just cheating…" he said, rolling over and resting his head again.
"Com'on big brother!" Zoran said gleefully, pushing down on Astro's bed. Astro still slept. Zoran frowned and crossed her arms. "Astro!" she yelled at him. She leaned over to his ear and took a deep breath. "ASTRRRRROOO!" as she yelled her voice became a high pitched robotic squeal. Astro jolted his head up, Zoran still screaming. He covered his ears. "OKAY! OKAY! ZORAN, STOP!" Zoran closed her mouth and smiled.
"That's what I thought!" she said, skipping over her bed on the ground. Astro sat up and rubbed his ears.
"How did you do that?" he said. Zoran turned around.
"Why, do you want me to do it again?"
"NO!" Astro said quickly.
"Was it that bad?" Zoran asked.
"Didn't you hear yourself?" Zoran shook her head. "Huh…you must be able to cast out robot sound waves and be un-harmed by then."
"Can't all robots do that?"
"Actually very few can do that. I can't."
"Yes!" Zoran said. Orrin came into the room.
"Com'on Astro and girl! School!" he said.
"I'm Zoran and what's school?" Zoran asked.
"It's where you learn stuff. Now com'on, I'll be late!" Astro said, grabbing his jacket.
"Well, I want to come too!" Zoran said.
"You're staying home with Orrin." Astro told her. Zoran put on her pouty face again and took a deep breath. She screamed out her sonic scream. Orrin and Astro held their ears as they got hit by the sound waves. "FINE!" Astro yelled out. Zoran immediately stopped and smiled sweetly. Astro heaved a sigh. "But you have to be on your BEST behavior."
"Do you have any friends? Can meet your friends? What else can I do? What else can you do? Do you have arm cannons? I hear they're really cool. Can I get some? What's powering you? Is it the same with me? And back on the topic with rooms-" Astro sighed. They sat in the back seat of the car, traveling to the school. Zoran was wearing some cloths of Astro's, a black hoodie and blue jeans. Zoran looked at Astro. "Well?" Astro sighed again.
"Yes, no, no, yes, yes and no. Those answer all your questions?"
"You were just guessing!" she said.
"And you just won't shut it!" Zoran huffed and crossed her arms. It was all silent. Zoran smiled.
"Are we there yet?" she asked.
"Not yet, Zoran." Orrin answered. Zoran looked at Astro.
"Arrrrrrrrreeeeeeee we there yet?" she said. Astro looked at her.
"NO."
"Are we there yet?"
"NO."
"Are we there yet?"
"NO!"
"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"
"NO! NO! NO! NO!" They augured with each other all the way till they got to the school gates.
"We're here!" Orrin yelled. Zoran gasped and looked out the window.
"YES!" she jumped out the car, followed by Astro.
"See ya, Orrin." Astro said. Zoran hugged him.
"GOODBYE!" Orrin slumbered back into the car and sped off.
"ASTRO! OVER HERE!" Astro looked towards Ember, Conner, Zane, Widget and….Cora.
"Cora?" Astro said, running towards them all near the school doors. Cora laughed and hugged him.
"Cause we're just ghosts, aren't we?" Ember replied. Astro looked at them.
"Hey, guys." He said with a wave. He looked at Ember. "I never got your name."
"Ember Jenny Sinclain." She said.
"I'll stick with Ember."
"ASTRO!" They all looked to Zoran, running up to them. She crossed her arms. "Do you usually just leave your relatives like that or am I the lucky one?"
"Who's she?" Cora asked.
"Err…"
"I'm Zoran, Astro's little sister!"
"WHAT?" they all look at each other, then at Astro.
"Sibling robots? Is that even possible?" Conner asked.
"Did Tenma create her?" asked Zane.
"Actually, I found her out side my building." Astro explained.
"You know, it's a strange coincidence that she almost looks exactly like you." Cora said. Astro and Zoran looked at each other. Zoran huffed and turned up her nose.
"No way do I look that ugly!" they all laughed except Astro, who frowned at her. He then quickly jolted his hand to the back of his neck.
"Oww…" Zoran then jolted her hand to the back of her neck.
"Oww…"
"Zoran, no need to copy me."
"But it does hurt!" she said. Cora walked over and looked at the back of Astro's neck. She saw the chipped place; the blue lines had gotten longer and brighter. "Ooo, that looks painful." She said.
The school bell went off. Zoran looked around. "What's that?" she asked.
"Time to go inside." Widget said. They all walked into the building, talking to each other. "I like your hair." Widget complemented.
"Thank you. I like yours." Zoran replied.
"So, what made you finally go to school?" Astro asked Cora.
"Well, it got a bit boring down at Hamegg's. I visit my parents more aswell." Astro nodded.
"So, you got an F, for science?" Conner asked Ember. She nodded.
"And for spelling, and math and grammar. What you get?"
"An A for science, math, geometry and geography."
"But not P.E?" he shook his head.
"What does P.E have to do with the world?"
"It's the one thing I'm good at." They all went to their lockers.
"I have a spare locker next to mine." Widget told Zoran. Ember, Widget and Zoran went to their lockers while Zane, Conner and Astro went to theirs. Cora went next to Zane. Two girls walked past, one with short blonde hair with a pink butterfly clip, the other with wavy long blond hair and a purple headband. "Hey, Astro!" they called with a smile and a wink. Astro turned around and waved awkwardly back. They giggled and approached Cora. They looked at her in disgust and whispered to each other and laughed out loud. Cora watched as they walked of and poked her tongue out at them. "Looks like you got some secret admirers." Zane said.
"Real secret." Astro mumbled.
"No surprise they're the ones waving at you. They're apart of a girls group called the Blondies. They're the most popular girls in the school, and word has they're jealous of Cora and you." Conner updated. Bruss and his gang then walked over and looked at Astro, but didn't make a move.
"Well, at least they're not coming over." Zane said.
"Maybe they've learned their lesson." Said Conner.
"I don't think so…" Astro dialed in the number on his locker and opened it. Suddenly a wave of green slime burst out and showered Astro. "What? AHH!" Astro got drenched in slime. He shivered and shook his head, trying to flick the goop off. Bruss and his gang laughed and slapped high fives. Most of the other kids in the corridor laughed with them. "Astro, are you okay?" Cora gasped, running over to him. Astro turned to face Bruss, wiping the slime off his face and jacket. Bruss then felt someone tapping on his shoulder. "Huh?" he turned around to face Zoran. "Ha! What you gonna do, little girl?" he smirked. Zoran took a deep breath.
"Stay away from MY BROTHERRRRRRRRR!" she screamed and sonic sound waves hit Bruss and the gang, knocking them over. Zoran continued to scream at them. Astro blocked his ears. "ZORAANNNN!" he yelled out to her. She stopped and looked at Astro, smiling.
"Yes brother?"
"What is going on?" Mrs. Harris walked into the room. She saw Astro half covered in green slime and Bruss and the gang knocked over with Zoran standing in front of them. "Oh no…" Conner mumbled. Mrs. Harris' face boiled with rage. "ASTRO! OFFICE! NOW!"
"But it was-!"
"NOW!" Astro sighed and wiped the last it of slime from his hair and followed Mrs. Harris to the office. Zoran ran after him. "No Zoran!" Astro scolded, leaving the hall. Zoran's smile dropped.
"You're a robot too?" a boy asked.
"Yes, I'm Astro's sister and I'm going to save him!" she ran out the corridor.
"Zoran!-"
The school bell rang once more and everyone left for their classes, the two girls elbowing Cora as they passed.
