Author's Note: So guess what? I'M NOT DEAD! XD Now I'm not going to start making excuses about not having time to write, I'm just going to state the truth. I forgot about it. So if anyone is actually still following this story and interested in continuing reading, I greatly appreciate it. :)
So here is the new update. I hope it's up to par since I haven't written in a long time. Enjoy as always!
Tauriel awoke early the next morning. She was not yet ready to face the day, knowing that every passing day brought her closer to the war she felt was brewing.
She took the next few minutes to lay in the quiet of the chilly morning. Legolas' arm had crept over her body during the knight and held her protectively. She gently brought his hand to her lips and gave it a gentle kiss, then lay still listening to the comforting sound of his breathing.
Legolas, not quite as asleep and Tauriel thought, was stirred a bit by the kiss on his hand. Moments later he opened his eyes, and smiled.
"Good morning darling." He said softly. Tauriel grinned and the term "darling", which he so rarely called her. She rolled over to face him.
"Good morning my prince..." She replied, finishing the sentence with a kiss on his lips. The kiss lingered on both their mouths long after it was over.
Suddenly, Legolas was overcome with love for Tauriel. Now that he no longer questioned her loyalty, he felt as though he was on top of the world, that nothing could take her away from him. Though he never thought possible, Legolas felt he loved her even more. He loved her with every piece of him.
He stood, offering her his hand. As she took it he pulled her up into his arms and caught her in a deeper, more passionate kiss. When they parted Tauriel looked at her prince almost in bewilderment due to the sudden passion. Before she could say anything Legolas cut in. "I love you Tauriel..." He kissed her again. "I love you so much..."
This time it was Tauriel who kissed him first. She did not know where this Legolas had come from...but she was beginning to like it. "I love you too..." She breathed.
Legolas walked around behind her. He slid his arms around her slender waist and pulled her body back against his. Tauriel grinned a little, she always loved when he pulled her to him. He gently breathed in her ear, then unexpectedly gave her neck a little lick. Tauriel shuddered. She decided that yes, she really did like this Legolas.
"Do you like this my dear?" He whispered in her ear. A simple "mhm" was all she could muster. He licked her neck again, longer this time, using more pressure with his tongue. Tauriel inhaled sharply while Legolas began giving her long, open-mouthed kisses all over her neck. He kissed around to the back of her neck and then licked it right up the centre.
"Ohhh..." Tauriel exhaled and relaxed into Legolas' arms. She was thankful for his support around her waist. Without it, she thought, she would be on the ground.
Legolas ran his hands up and down the figure of Tauriel's waist. One side of him wanted to say he loved her a thousand times over, and even that would not be enough. The other side of him didn't want to stop kissing her, holding her, and yes, even giving her little licks from time to time. Legolas wanted all of her. The love and emotions he felt were uncontrollable.
The prince spun the captain around to face him. He began kissing her gorgeous face all over, while Tauriel drank in the pleasure of it. He licked around her pointed ears and gave the top a gentle nibble, which Tauriel found quite nice. Never before had she seen such a passionate side to her prince. All she new was she never wanted this to end.
From her ear Legolas kissed down her jawline. Tauriel tilted her head to the sky and tried to steady her slightly quickened breathing, to no avail. Legolas kissed her cheeks and began to suck on them ever so gently. As he took breaks to catch some air he would remark breathlessly, "Such beautiful cheeks..." Followed by more kissing. He gave her nose a long, gentle kiss. His hands found there way up to hold her face. Tauriel's arms draped loosely around the prince's neck. Legolas took a moment to look into his captain's stunning emerald eyes. In turn she stared back into his.
"Tauriel...I love you...I know I have said it many times before..but I love you. I love you with all of my heart." Legolas said. His voice breathy. Tauriel did not get a chance to say anything before he captured her in yet another kiss full of passion and wanting. As they broke again Tauriel stated, "I love you too, Legolas Greenleaf."
Legolas pulled Tauriel in a tight embrace. Tauriel buried her face in his strong chest. She felt safe, cared for, protected, wanted, and most importantly, loved.
Legolas burrowed his face into her neck.
"I love you..." He said.
"I love you too..."
"I love you...That is all I can muster."
